I stayed up and watched the Monday Night Football game last night. The Eagles could not get a lot going offensively, and the Falcons hung in there and secured a victory in the last two minutes. Kirk did not have a great game until toward the end, then he led the final drive to snag the win. He went 7-13 for 75 yards in the first half, but came out hot in the 2nd half and went 13-16 for 166 yards.

Here’s a post-game interview with Sam Darnold on Sunday, I’m happy for him. He seems elated to be in the situation he’s in, I don’t blame him.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here.
- Twitter sized version: be cool to one another.
Zappy and 4 relief pitchers managed to hold Cleveland to 1 run.
Twinkies win 4-1 so they won’t get swept.
Bullshit! My comment for the day. Thank me later.

I definitely do not want to do the last one.
yeah nah thanks
2 out of 3 ain’t bad??
You know, bullshit gives off methane gas and is bad for the atmosphere.
DeSantis had an interesting point.
You have the government prosecuting Trump and trying to jail him, while at the same time, the same government is investigating two assassination attempts.
Conflict of interest ya think?
guessing they try a lot harder on the former.
Yup,
Just going thru the motions on the 2nd part.
Hillery just said he was ‘a danger to our country and the world’ right after the 2nd attempt.

She has got to be one of the sorriest people on the face of the earth. Who in their right mind would listen to hear.
the DOJ has been weaponized against Trump. This is terrible. They are politically motivated to destroy Trump by any means possible, including assassination.
It’s not just against Trump. Parents at school board meetings are labelled as “domestic terrorists.”
I posted this the other day but it was late so not many saw it.
Dems keep up the drum beat of Trump being a ‘threat’ trying to get more wackos to go after him.
The poll, released by the University of Chicago via the Chicago Project on Security and Threats, found that 26 million Americans believe “the use of force” is justified to keep Trump from regaining the presidency. Of the 26 million, the poll found, nine million have guns, and 22 million have access to “internet organizational tools.”
Just get Canada to turn the building sized faucet and trickle down to LA. It will cure everything.
Nobody is taking your bait. I know you have a big novel pre-written for this.
I was about to as it seemed like a complete non sequitur to me.
Geography is hard.
Why is it bait? You guys love this kind of stupid shit Biden says and make fun of it all the time… Well not anymore since he’s basically a shut in but you guys love this stuff. Why so silent on this?
Since this started with a comment from DeSantis which didn’t really have a lot of stupid shit – ok to you. Here’s another one from DeSantis. He is have the State of Florida doing an investigation into what/how the incident in West Palm happened. Lots of doubt we’ll get the truth out of the feds he feels.
Bait aside, it would. A lot of mental illness and corruption would end up in the ocean where it belongs.
Dallas Turner only had 18 defensive snaps….
i know he got hurt late so maybe that took a couple more away from him, but there were 70 snaps the defense took and he was only in 18 of them. is that concerning?
He’s a rookie and they’re keeping him fresh. I think they are rotating to so it could have been a keep the hot hand in situation too.
that’s fair and probably right.
i was surprised to see Gilmore in on 68/70 snaps. the old man still has it!
So does Hitman.
Wrenage’s dream scenario !!
yeah harry is playing REALLY well. love seeing that
Greenard came back from IR and played (1 sack) so less snaps for the rest of the room.
came back from IR?
From injury?
From not playing week 1?
greenard? played 51 snaps week 1 vs the giants.
And yet he managed 0 stats, not a tackle? not anything?
https://www.vikings.com/team/players-roster/jonathan-greenard/
And didn’t show up in the box score.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings-new-york-giants-20240908019/
Even J. Ward who had zero stats managed to show up in the box score.

i mean, i just watched the highlights and i see him in there..
so i guess he had a TERRIBLE first game?
I didn’t get to watch the game and had not seen the snap counts and so assumed he hadn’t played.
it is shocking he didn’t account for ANY stats though
And didn’t even show up in the box score when others who had zero stats did.
Hence the cause for confusion.
i understand the confusion.
i still like you. hopefully you still like me.
‘hopefully you still like me.’
That was never in question.

Didn’t see the point of adding to it.
I did.
Navy to launch first submarine built for mixed-gender crew | KXAN Austin
Seems like this would serve to improve morale?
Headline is a little misleading. I was irritated about it having to be built for mixed-gender crew. I was irritated if it was like having to have female facilities vs male facilities because what a waste of space… but the article said the subs will be built gender neutral. So who cares?
women’s bathrooms have to be way bigger, to fit the couches, end tables for their candles, easy chairs etc….
Haha, in college one of the freshmen dorms there was an extra girls bathroom on the first floor and it did have an extra room with a couch and shit. Anytime a girl talked about equality I said something of, I’ll listen if you are willing to fight for our right to have a lavish bathroom as well… didn’t usually go over very well.
We’ll see. Private space for the crew is always very limited on a Naval ship of war. Have been on carriers and birthing and bathroom space is far from gender neutral. Subs are even tighter, so we’ll have to see.
Been on a number of submarines. Crew berthing is racks of bunks three layers high and the bunks are very narrow. Tight, tight, tight spaces. There is no way to segregate them for the sexes. The Navy has decided women and men don’t need seperate quarters and can exist in the same tiny spaces.
We’ll see how this works out for them. Sort of like unisex bathrooms in SF.
Go out for a 9 month deployment…come home with one extra “crew” member.
And a shitload of STDs that aren’t KIDs
Build them the best functional way possible if some fat guy (me) or some lady can’t fit to those requirements… tough shit, life ain’t fair. This is war.
It is war. Majority of space is for ship operations and war fighting. Crew space takes a second seat
I wonder if the command person will get punished for using the wrong pronoun.
Bad idea. Their cycles are going to synch up and the combined might of their PMS in that confined space will be catastrophic.
Ewww.
It could resemble a nuclear blast that could ‘implode’ the ship.
If a blast could cause an implosion that is.
Should be a good idea with less privacy and opposite sexes away from their significant others all charged up sexually in close quarters. Should be no problem to control the inner desires.
I heard that Brock Purdy is 13-2 vs NFC teams in his career and both losses have come against the Vikings.
Sweet.
You know how I feel about QB “win/loss records”. The Niners are a very complete team, with a great head coach and GM. The fact the Vikings have beaten them in their last two meetings, is quite heartening.
I think it has to do more with a young QB vs the scheme of an experienced DC.
Purdy was stating after the game how hard Coach Flo’s defensive scheme was to play against.
Yes, and Flo somehow was able to take away the first read on Purdy a lot. Purdy is a very strong first read and timing route QB. He likes to hit that back foot on his drop, and let the ball go. If he can’t do that, he is far less effective. the trick is figuring out where that first read is, and taking it away. Hundreds of hours of film study go into that.
i saw that Flores has a defensive package called “Nascar” where the 4 rushing linemen are all DE’s.
I love that
Love that too. We need more pressure on the QB. Speed is good when you’re facing a running QB.
For shanahan it all starts with the running game. Shut that down – if you can – get ahead and make them one deminsional, you have a great chance.
And San Fran hasn’t won in MN in like 20-30+ years. Guys… this is the kind of stat that comes back to bites us in the ass in the playoffs. We get SF back at home and lose… it’s the Viking way.
Since 1992, to be exact. Nice run we’ve got going there.
Tell me if we ran into them at home in the playoffs this year that stat doesn’t scare you haha.
Would scare me pretty good. Vikes are stat breakers, usually in a negative way.
He is 13-2 in the regular season so come postseason, we can make sure to beat him there too. No jinx.
Not sure if this is imminent or just assuming.
coaches salaries don’t count towards the team cap, correct?
correct
then pay the man! haha
I am liking our car insurance here in Idaho more and more.
First it is 1/2 the cost of a similar policy in Commifornia.
Second since we use their phone Ap we will be getting 15-20% off due to good driving per GBS, currently they have our driving rated at 94%.
Finally yesterday we got a 2.5% rebate check because we have had no claims, we get that 2X a year as long as we have no claims. So 5% a year.
Nice.
Nice. When I moved off the rez my insurance went down like 3-400 bucks a year!
Read insurance in Minny is worst in country. I mailed in a 6 month car insurance for $797 for a 6 month policy!! Not a blot on my record! This state sucks in many ways.
Our was $900-$1000 every six months for 2 cars before we moved. No tickets or claims for years.
This ranking has Calif at #3 and Minn does not crack the top 8 most expensive..
Idaho is #4 for cheapest, which is nice.
https://www.insure.com/car-insurance/car-insurance-rates.html
Need a new handle SoCal, you got out of dodge. We will know who you are.
Can’t change the name per the Admins.
I would have to start a whole new account.
It was nice to see another team completely collapse in the last two minutes instead of the Vikings. Dive, Eagles, Dive.
oh i like that one…
Pure coincidence, I’m sure…
so i saw someone post something similar during the summer but it was a way higher interception number than 17. so i was wondering what was actually true..
this sounds more right.
to be fair though, i wonder how many he has chucked up when he knew the defense was offsides, and gets picked.
Ever notice all the patty cake ruffing the passer calls Brady used to get.
And Rodgers.
Him more than anyone (in his prime), IMO.
The league has it’s darlings, that is known. And they tend to get lots of calls the “peasants” do not get.
How do the Vikings become the darling? Martyring St. Floyd wasn’t enough so I fear it won’t happen until JJ becomes a star.
Won’t happen, I’m afraid. Goodell hates the Vikings. Maybe Kumbaya Kev and JJ can change that.
With the Black National Anthem et all guessing Kev and JJ aren’t exactly the right billboard.
Minn moved up from #15 to number #9 in this weeks ranking.
So now Top 10, some quibbles but seems pretty much legit.
https://fansided.com/posts/nfl-power-rankings-week-3-saints-cowboys-saints-vikings-49ers
I agree we look much better than expected. Both wins were total team efforts with strong play in all three phases. So far, we look really good.
was Darrisaw the main guy facing Bosa on Sunday?
It’s so nice to have a dominant LT.
Yes, and Yes
Didn’t Bosa have two sacks?
i know one of them was against Darrisaw. Idk if the other was.
But i would say Darrisaw held his own against a top 5 DE. and i like that.
Where is KFEY today? It sure was fun watching an “inevitable” crumbling of Kirk in primetime last night. Guy is just a joke of a player that can’t come through in the clutch – always has been and always will be.
Good point…where is KFEY?
he is always hard to find on kirk tuesdays
Well played, rec
I certainly expected the usual Kirko collapse ™, but he balled out on that last drive.
Kirk did not play particularly well the rest of the game. average stats, safe throws, etc.
That last drive was extremely well played. Good for him.
@He still sucks in January@
He can have good games in prime time.
But not often.
Next up the Chiefs on Sunday night football.
Where the NFL will make sure that there’s no magical comeback vs the Chiefs… maybe another penalty on the defense after a Mahomes INT.
PFF did a study on Cousins, and debunked the myth that he does not usually play well in Prime time games. In fact, they found he plays better on average in Prime time than he does in regular Sunday afternoon games.
Sorry DE, facts are facts.
Facts are troubling things….
Indeed.
When you can’t win in primetime, you go with stats.
Stats tell the story of performance. Especially when those stats are collected over a long period of time. Everyone knows this except Cousins haters.
They throw team stats up as Cousins stats which is irrational.
Didn’t PFF also say the Vikings interior O-line was well above average last week too?
I saw the top PFF numbers for the Defense yesterday.
I have not seen the numbers for the Offense as of yet.
There was something silly from week 1. I don’t pay that much attention but I remember somebody posting something last week like Bradbury was the highest rated center in the league week 1 per PFF. PFF is the Wikipedia of sports stats.
Not much confidence for PFF. But read somewhere yesterday, before last night, had won five of his last six prime time games, and the game lost was in Philly last year where he threw for 365 and and 4 TD.s. Might have won and had 5 TD’s if JJ held on to ball reaching for goal line.
Trees galore but no forests.
Yep Facts are Facts and troubling depending on the narrative you want to push.
A team with Kirko as the QB loses games in primetime.
13-20 as of last night.
Sucks to post facts I know.
Are Thurday and Sunday night games primetime?
Remember year before last on Thanksgiving evening (Thur) KOC gave Cousins a game ball and said it was “primetime.”
Maybe different on this site.
Prime time games are “island” games. That is, no other game is scheduled opposite them. So Thursday night, Sunday night, and Monday night games are all Prime time games.
Doesn’t seem like DE thinks so. Or, it’s circumstance driven.
Lots of false narratives have been built by the media around Cousins, but the commentary of “his” record against teams with winning records, in Prime time, on Monday Night football, etc are irrational, and unfounded. Cousins tends to play well in such games, but his teams do not. Thus people say “Cousins doesn’t play well…” when that’s a complete lie.
Just trying ti figure out what “one” of the folks here considers correct – false narrative or not.
What about Thanksgiving day?
Prime Time definition: “The term prime-time is often defined in terms of a fixed time period—for example (in the United States), from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Eastern and Pacific Time) or 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Central and Mountain Time).”
Certainly Holiday games are Prime time games.
Laughing, so hard. Wins and losses are team stats. Cousins plays well in Prime time, his teams do not.
Facts and all.
Still basking in the glory of our win over the Niners. This defense is for real. Just ask Purdy. The offense looks very good, and our kicker actually makes his kicks!
Feeling good right now!
the defense will have a good test this week with the texans. they might be down Mixon, but they have a good offense. i am very much looking forward to watching what defense flores dials up to stop them. lots of pressure. get stroud uncomfy.
Hopefully they give Diggs a nice little welcome home punch in the mouth, figuratively of course.
Actually, they really should thank him because he helped land us Jets.
I didn’t think the Texans looked so good against the Bears, to be honest. I think they might just have an average offense this year (certainly no better than SF, IMO).
Bears have a good defense, they usually do…
it was a sloppy/gross game no doubt.
I believe both Houston and SF have offenses that are legit, way better than average.
Chicago has an excellent defense, the offense no so much.
It is looking like our defense is very good, enough to make SF offense look average.
Stroud will give the Vikings a very hard out this week.
Anything can happen, but I will not be surprised at any outcome this week.
All true, but this is the NFL.
The goal is to even things up on a week to week basis.
Could be a “trap” game for the Vikings with the Pukers next week at lamblow.
Now there are a lot of games to be played. But at this point, looking around the NFC, there is. no reason we don’t have as good a chance as anyone else of going to the Super Bowl. The mighty have flaws and are vulnerable.
We can whip any of them.
The question marks on the team (QB play, O-line, and defense) to date have answered the mail. I’m very, very happy with our start.
Every team has question marks. Cowboys – no running game and weak defense. Eagles – just look at last night (coaching). Detroit looked weak and Packers are down a QB. We’re in as good a shape as anyone.
And the Niners, we just beat them and they don’t seem to play as well from behind.
So, the opportunity is there.
If we could get a replacement for Ingram… I can’t imagine how we cannot find someone better. How long is Risner out?
Risner is on IR.
So two more games I believe.
I would expect Risner taking snaps from Ingram if he doesn’t improve.
I would expect a random guy off the street to take snaps from Ingram if he doesn’t improve.
Ain’t that the truth!
Almost Forgot…
Happy KirkTuesday everyone!
By engineering epic comeback win over Eagles, Kirk Cousins has Falcons believing – Yahoo Sports
If I could fight one NFL QB right now, it would be Kirk Cousins…
For 2 reasons…
SKOL! Great Game! Another tough one coming up. I need to remember to log into my vikings account and raise the prices on my unsold tickets….After we beat the Texans there will be much enthusiasm for this team.
Excellent application of the principles of a free market.
Supply and Demand Baby! Supply is fixed, Demand is variable, but going up now….Therefore prices will rise….
Democrats wouldn’t understand that at all.
How was the experience for you NoDak?
How many tickets you got for Houston?
I will be in town this weekend.
Oh no, I am a long time season ticket holder…
But it was an awesome game to be at!
You got tickets for Houston?
How many?
Nope I have Indy and Arizona left….4 tickets, but am willing to sell 2 at a time.
Why doesn’t Canada just turn their massive building sized faucet to help California with their drought?
my son asked me who my favorite player on the vikings is right now..
that was a tough question…
i’m loving Nailor and Aaron Jones, hard to not automatically go JJ.
On defense, it’s for sure is Van Ginkle and then maybe Cashman
Man, when Nailor flew in to help JJ score… that effort play was so killer!
i still think the MVP of that play was the ref…..leading the way for JJ, like moses through the red sea
Does Moses play for the Broncos?
i don’t get it
I don’t know who Moses is and wondered if the Red Sea was nickname of Chiefs defense.
i’m so confused. the broncos and chiefs were never apart of this conversation…
Biblical allusions +/- me.
no nfc north team has red unis. Chiefs have red unis.
MT DumbDumb
Haven Moses was a Bronco’s receiver from 1972-1981.
Why do teams go prevent on game deciding drives. Your defense and game plan has put you in a position to win and then you switch to prevent. The Vikings are guilty of this a lot. I just don’t get it. Glad the iggles lost.
I don’t get it either. I just call it the prevents you from winning defense.
To be fair the Eagles d was in that mode all night.
As the Eagles were getting gashed by Kirk on that late drive, my wife asked why the Falcons didn’t just do that all game (she doesn’t know much about football scheme). I told her the defense goes into prevent mode to prevent the big plays, which leaves huge holes in the underneath routes and along the sidelines.
Which is better? Risking giving up a huge play or allowing yourself to get gashed underneath and hoping to hold in the red zone?
I honestly think it comes down to how much pressure you can apply with rushing just 4.
It kinda worked for us yesterday, forcing the 49ers to kick the FG and hope for the onside kick, but I agree, usually all the prevent defense does is prevent you from winning. Our long drive that made it a 2 score game sealed the W as the 49ers ran out of time to do too much damage. Happy that the Vikes pulled it off.
Also appy that the poop eaters did not pull it off, and that it was Kirk who made them pay.
Encouraging start to the season.
The teams that were supposed to dominate (49rs, ATL, Dallas, Detroit) all look average.
I hate the saints, but Kubiak has that offense rolling.
Tampa also looks really good.
And of course, the Vikings could still finish last in the division, but I am thinking not. The defense is real, and improved. The offense with Sam I Am is rolling along fine.
i expected the bears to be better than they are, they are brutal…
perhaps they find their way as the year rolls on..
i didn’t expect the vikings defense to be as dominating as it is, this early…are we due for a regression? i hope not. i would imagine we stay similar or get better
I guessed 8-10 wins. I still think that fits. There will be some bad games, but I am very happy with the defense so far.
We “can” win the division. For the first time in a few years we seem to be able to run the ball and play very good defense. Sam will be fine and there was little doubt to me that we could pass the ball.
Put all this together, and we can beat anybody.
I think it will be a fun season. We are not really burdened by any great expectations, so things are primed for Cinderella stories. As long as we are consistently competitive, we can put some wins together.
The hubris of the elite class.
We didn’t beat the Niners, they beat themselves.
The Falcons didn’t beat the Eagles, they beat themselves.
Guess that why they play the game.
I mean, at times you can get that sentiment right? We have all seen those situations but the Vikings on Sunday beat the Niners. If the Vikings had lost they literally would have been the ones who gave the game away.
Go read what the Niners ( fans) said about the loss. Of course we beat the Niners – we watched the game. But Niner fans see the game differently. They score at will against anybody – right. They out muscle everyone – right. Shanahan out coaches everyone – right. If they lose it’s a fluke to their fans.
I would agree if it were 2-3 fluke plays that gave us the victory. But, we pretty much man handled them the entire game. If it wasn’t for 2-3 plays that went 9ers way, we would have won by 2-3 scores.
I completely agree – score could have been worse. I was merely pointing out the thinking from the ‘elites’ of the league.
And by elites, I think you mean entitled idiots.
I guess entitled. Think their fans mostly, an d players some, feel like when they take the field they are ‘going’ to win regardless of whom they play – except maybe Chiefs.
And that makes me hope the Cardinals or Seahawks win their division.
yeah, i got into an interesting discussion with a 49ers fan on their fan site, and the excuses he kept making for his team losing to the vikings was quite funny…
started out with they had a couple turnovers and didn’t get a couple 4th downs, to which i said ok sounds like the vikings defense played better than your team…
then how their defense had some bad plays, to which i pointed out our offense much have been better then…
then their special teams, blocked punt…so which i pointed out oh i guess our special teams was just better…
to then their bad coaching, oh so our coaching was better…
then he blamed the refs, to which i just scoffed. once you get into the weeds of the refs, you know you are grasping as straws.
Exactly. And the Eagles are like 2 -11 in their last 13 games. Yet all their losses are because they “let” the other team win.
Hurts is not playing like a good QB. He is decent for Fantasy Football stats, but he needs to be bailed out with a better running game and AJ Brown healthy.
admittedly i haven’t specifically watched Hurts much, other than when they are prime time or playing the vikes, but he seems to have a rather weak arm. Perhaps that’s just what I have seen and i’m wrong. But lots of his balls seem to float, and shockingly gets to his receivers when i would have expected a defender to get them them. so maybe it’s more an optical illusion…
also, if it wasn’t for the tush push, he would be a very middle of the road QB
I think he has a strong enough arm, but the new offense is not suited for him. Timing routes galore, and he seems tentative.
And fuck the RPO. He fails. He can run, but should not.
Not so sure. Saban didn’t think so at Bama and he left. First couple of years in league, pretty poor throwing the ball. Then a good year followed by last year with all the turnovers. Great runner, not so sure about a thrower.
Honestly there are many games where the refs decidedly screw one team (usually the Vikings for whatever reason, or whoever is playing the Packers), but this wasn’t one of them. Didn’t see a whole lot of missed stuff or heavy favoring at all.
in fact, when i went back and looked. the 9ers were awarded 2 first downs via penalty while the vikings had zero awarded first downs via pentalty…
so technically the refs were more on the 9ers side than us….
but they kept pointing to a non roughing the passer call, which they ended up getting later in the game.
The Eagles did snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. To burn clock they should have drawn up a run play to Saquon. Get a 4th and 1 can tush push or kick the FG but you reliably burn 45?seconds. Very Vikingsesque a la Zimmer.
^^^This.
They had the game, and Kellen Moore called a “cute” play to try to ice it on 3rd down. The reason from the head coach was that they were “junking up the middle”…….so then why not run off tackle and try to gain 2 yards, then tush push as you say? Dumb choice. Saquon should have for sure caught it, but he was set up for failure by his OC.
That Kirko pic is great haha. Happy for him, on Monday night no less. He looked very tentative early, rust?
Silly Saquon. No wonder the Gnats were done with you, or maybe he’s a plant.
the eagles kinda suck
Pick ‘Em League Update Week #2
It was a bit of a brutal week for all Pick ‘Em League participants. Half of the games were won by the underdogs, and it showed in the results. A lot of folks got half, or more than half, of their picks wrong.
BowBunch came out the best of the lot, netting 83 points. Freezy and Bleeding Purple ‘N Gold came in at two and three with 71 points each.
Current standings:
Rick Vice is in last place. Perhaps one of his vices is holding him back. Get off the Pixie Sticks!
DE Viking is hanging on by his fingernails from falling into the cellar, and JacksonVike is with him on the edge of the precipice. But, like Ben Kenobi in the Phantom Menace, perhaps they will leap from their doom and cut the specter of defeat in half.
NoDakRube and myself are tied for the 8 & 9 position. This is mostly due to some incredibly savvy picking against all odds. Truly remarkable insight, really. Plus, maybe a dash of giving other people a chance is also in play.
I’d rather be fishing is hanging out in the middle of the lake.
Bleeding Purple ‘N Gold is also bleeding some points, but he’s not in bad shape.
Little Fishin’ fell out of the top spot. In Little Fishin’s defense, he did miss getting his picks in before the Thursday night game, so he spotted everyone some points.
Kirk is still good is next. I beg to differ. Kirk is a kitten-murdering, tampon smoking troglodyte who smells like cheese.
Surly Viking is standing on the first podium position in third place. He can’t be surly about that.
Freezeface continues his nonchalant dominance, maintaining his number two position.
Bowbunch is the rocket of the week, shooting to the top of the charts like the latest Michael Jackson song. Everyone has him in their sights!
Onto week three…
Get those picks in before the Thursday night game, kids!
Survival League Update Week #2
Four more people fall. The worthless ineptitude of the Ravens claimed DE Viking and Surly Viking.
Meanwhile, Kirk couldn’t resist one last outburst of spite on his way out the door by actually netting a win in primetime, which took out JacksonVike and myself.
I never had any great animosity toward Kirk. He just wasn’t the right guy. But now…now I loathe everything about him for what he has done to me by ruining my survival league experience.
Kirk is a kitten-murdering, tampon smoker who shaves his back more than his face. May his eggs stick to his frying pan all the days of his life, and may his wife always have gas — the bodily kind, not the car kind.
Fallen competitors, we salute you…
I usually last a little longer than this. Heck, I think I won year 1 and tied with Bow last year.
Oh well.

What a terrible salute.
They should have fixed that before she got out of basic training.
Maybe they gave her a pass due to her other ‘assets’.
side boob is very underrated.
not that i was looking or anything
I pledge allegiance………………………

Kirk looked old and slow and I’m glad we moved away from him
Glad to see the eagles lose. They don’t look good at all.
I agree with both statements.
That was a hell of a last drive though. Good thing the Eggles really suck. Hurts still had a chance at the end, and just went full spaz on that last throw.
170 yards before the last drive. What were the eagles thinking playing that deep? Didn’t look like they were even trying. No pressure up the middle and drop everybody 40 yards against a veteran qb. Great strategy ya knuckle heads.
eagles had some very head scratching coaching decisions….
kirk looked old and slow and processed very slow. missed a legit touchdown early in the game, only sticking to one read.
im one of the few who like kirk, but i’m glad we moved on, i like the look of the future without him.
Seems like it was the right decision to move on from Kirk, but we’ll see. Future would look brighter without a certain knee injury, but we are used to those. Glad that Sam is playing well so far and that the defense looks legit.
i know ALOT of the kirk hate was due to his contract…
So i guess we are in that 3-4 year window right now where we aren’t strapped by a large Qb contract. so let’s see if we can actualy do something in that window.
Exactly this. Kwesi must build the team over the next couple years before he throws all the money at the QB again.
which this next year will have to happen through free agency since we have barely any picks…
will be curious what happens if Darnold keeps playing well.
Why don’t we just win it all this year?
no, we need better draft pics….
jk
I legit wonder if we’re seeing the end of the cycle of paying a QB 16%+ of the cap. Maybe we should try 10% or less…

SKOL!
Happy Kirko Tues!
Hell of a last drive. I can be happy for him (and the Eagles losing)
and still think he sucks when it matters. ATL gets a banged up Chiefs team in prime time next week. Can Kirko make it two in a row, in Prime Time?
Happy Tuesday
I don’t miss him one bit.
Shocked you would say that!
