You still interested in ‘hygiene’ measurement ?
The ‘Quantifying Hygiene’ that was discussed yesterday?
Sure that should like an interesting topic.
Since hygiene is considered more of a demotivator than a motivator it can be difficult.
One overall measure might be turnover rate
Another, if in a production area, a measure of productivity.
A third, maybe employee survey with pointed questions on relevant factors.
Turnover? Production? Employee Survey?
These are considered Hygiene??
Must be some new definition of which I am not aware.
It Prison Hygiene means ‘wash your ass’.

So some esoteric rambling where some German guy borrows a real word and twists the meaning into some Corporate Speak to get paid?

I knew what BS it all was when they starting spouting in Prison that we had ‘voluntarily customers’ and ‘involuntary customers’.
Some mid level manager trying to make some Corporate Speech work in Prison by twisting it beyond all logic.
I would say your thoughts yesterday on Arnold moving around guards at will would be called hygiene. But there’s probably many other terms can be used.
Arnold wanted guards to be moved where ever they were short of guards. No limitations.
So they wanted to be able to tell any one of us ‘tomorrow report to Pelican Bay’ which is at the Ca/Oregon Border and the next day to ‘Ironwood’ which is at the Ca/Arizona Border. With no compensation, idea for how long, or consideration of family.
If that can be twisted into ‘wash your ass’ it is beyond my understanding, and I am fine with it remaining so.

If so, I merely responded to a point made yesterday ‘ about it’s always about the money’ and I was pointing ought other factors.
And the term I used is taught in virtually every business school in the country.
And I certainly did not bring the guard issue up – someone else did as I recall.
And someone yesterday, after I left asked for quantifiables on said word. To that end, I was again merely trying to answer that request.
I guess if someone thought the term was a bunch of BS, why ask the question.

I asked the question of how hygiene was quantifiable. I was unaware how it had be turned into a Corporate Buzzword.

Since we have different definitions of hygiene we might as well stop here.
As I recently heard from someone here. that I had believed was reasonable and smart, this. conversation is over.
