Just when you thought it couldn’t get more crooked, the judge admonishes a Trump defense witness for rolling eyes while on the stand.
Once they convict him after this sham is when I will think it can’t get any more crooked.
If (when) they convict him, it will be just the beginning.
I expect the Judge will try to jail him until the appeal is completed and the Supreme Court will have to step in.
I thought that as well but some recent polls have me wondering. Believe the Judge will do what Biden/DNC tell him to do.
If the polls suggests jailing Trump will cause voters to turn from.him, it will happen.
If polls suggests people are ‘waking up’ and seeing this as a sham making Trump a victim, they won’t.
So far they haven’t gotten the response they anticipated.
So far trusting Brandon to do the smart thing is a losing strategy. I will keep expecting him to do dumb.

Their plan has nothing to do with actual votes IMO. They will get as many ballots as they need, and put Trump in jail. They don’t plan on voters. Maybe I’m completely whacked out.

I see your point – if you can ‘create’ as many votes as needed, that becomes a non issue.
I expect more votes cast than registered voters with Biden winning, and nothing will be said about the impossibility of that math.
Sniffer should get 150 million votes. Voter ID is paramount if you want to be a democracy but looking like a thing of the past.

Family is going to Minneapolis for some Twins games this weekend (seemed like a better idea a month ago) and Friday night it’ll be just me and the boys (17,20,26) and I want to take them to a seafood boil type restaurant. Looking at Cajun Boiling on Nicollet. Is that a good place, or is there someplace better?

Spent 12 hours in that place once with half a dozen teens.

IKEA doesn’t bother me. It’s keeping the Mrs away from the Apple store that’s the problem.
The Teacher upgrades her iPhone every 5-6 years or so and I get her ‘hand-me-downs’. Plus I have to take this Vintige iMac in ever 8-10 years to get it worked over. So Apple store doesn’t scare me nearly as much as IKEA (I have been there once).

Coming from Billings. The boys and I are driving in on Friday and I wanted to take them out for something fun and they like seafood. Thought they’d get a kick out of the group food thing.
Someplace we can’t do in Billings.
Mall is full of cool stuff to do.
Don’t know if they still have the shark aquarium in the basement that you can walk thru.

if i were to suggest a fun place to eat with great food (pricey though) it would be Fogo de Chao….essentially all you can eat, meat.
Went to one of those places in Ft Worth.
They offered us ‘salad bar’ to start with.
I figured they wanted us to fill up on cheap stuff 1st.
I out smarted them by ignoring the healthy stuff.
yep, gotta ignore the salad bar…
although this place does have a fantastic salad bar and some people just go for that (idiots of course)
I could do a decent Salad/Desert Bar occasionally, but not if I am paying Meat prices for it.
Let us know how that place is. never been to that restaurant.
I’d probably go to Oceanaire for seafood, except my wife hates seafood.
We would end up at revival for chicken if in South Minneapolis.
For Mall of America, I would say Cantina Laredo and Twin City Grill are my favorites, but there are plenty of decent places there to eat.
Like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Bally, Xfinity and Mn Twins for finding away to “not” broadcast Twins.
I grilled t-bones on Saturday. I would not call myself a gourmet chef, but those steaks were tastier than any I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. I’ve actually been disappointed by the steaks at Texas Roadhouse the last couple times I’ve been there.
T-bones (and porterhouses) don’t seem to get a lot of love in many restaurants but are always great for home grilling.
I don’t go full steak there as it doesn’t seem worth it to me based on price/taste.
I think I went Pulled Pork Sandwich the last time I was there a few weeks ago.
They changed it up quite a bit too. You order at the reception desk when you check in and the ‘waitress’ just brought you the order. Different.
I like TR for a steak.
I”m cheap, also can’t eat a whole lot, so I always get the small sirloin dinner for like $16.
Can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed with that steak.
Helped some friends get their big shop ready for a grad party. They took my wife and I out to dinner, probably been 5 yrs since I’ve gone out. Anyhow was flabbergasted at the prices. One good thing though, if its one’s bday this restaurant gives a discount equivalent to percentage off of your age. So my wife got 62% off of her lobster as it was her 62 bday. Montana Club in Missoula, good food but $$$ out of $$$$ spensive.
I haven’t had a T-bone in a while. I don’t like trimming too much fat or gristle, so I usually buy NY Strips when I get some steaks. More expensive, but when making at home, worth it.
We buy a quarter beef each year. We get a variety of steaks with the bundle.
Nice, that is the way to go, really, for cost effectiveness and variety.
i was PLEASANTLY surprised to see how cheap Texas Roadhouse is for their kids menu.
I can eat, as a family of 5, for around $70. Can barely do that at Culvers.
We rarely went out to eat when I was a kid. We didn’t do a lot of it either when our kids were at home. It is so much cheaper to cook at home. Our daughter in law came up to surprise her daughter this weekend, so we did our Taco John’s tradition. 3 adults, 1 kid, I dropped $48. I feel poor now.

yeah, we don’t go out too often either, ESPECIALLY since the pricing has gotten to out of hand.
jersey mikes used to have a deal where kids would eat for free on sundays, they would get a mini sub, chips, drink and cookie for free, so that was a fun family tradition after church to buzz there and get lunch…
they no longer do that deal and it’s very expensive now. kids are bummed.

The only point of charging Trump and getting him into court was to push as much salacious material they could dig up, or invent, on Trump, out to the public. They want to discourage voters, plain and simple. It’s all a huge character assassination move by the liberal DOJ, fueled by the media. This is another “we got Trump now” move, that is completely baseless. I’ve lost count of all these ridiculous media assaults on Trump, claiming he’s the devil incarnate.

If they get a conviction, he will be in Jail on appeal, miss the “debates” and can’t campaign.
It’s about dragging his name through the mud and getting people sick of hearing the name “Trump”, and so causing frustration and fatigue will drive voters away.
Seems to be having the opposite effect.
People are seeing what is going on and his poll numbers are raising while Brandons are shrinking.
Hence the desperate ‘debate gambit’.
Not saying it will work (likely will on some people), but as you said, may have the opposite effect overall. I’m still waiting for the big play from them – and it will come. I think Biden will be “unfit” for office one way or another, and they will find another person to run.
If they can’t turn the numbers around by the convention I expect a replacement to be found.
The only one that could have a chance would be M. Obama and she has stated she is not interested (thank god).
Slick Newsom? He is not going be able to defend his record although he is better at lying than Brandon is.
They’ll wait as long as possible so nobody can attack his record so he doesn’t have to defend anything. Just wait, before anything happens there will be a positive PR campaign for Newsome or whoever they want to throw in the ring.
They are stuck and that’s their real problem. Biden may be unfit, but they can’t run Harris and can’t run from here either.

Speaking of commencement speeches, yesterday was my oldest granddaughter’s HS graduation. No commencement speaker “it’ll be a quick one”…4 valedictory speeches, handing out roses to important individuals in their lives, LONG senior video…90 minutes later they handed out diplomas and I was ready to hang myself.
Oh man, I feel for you. Been through a few of those, myself.
In such situations, I sometimes employ the “Doorway Method,” as in, I watch from the gym entrance, rather than taking a seat.
That way, I can wander hallways, visit vending machines, hang out in a bathroom stall and whatever other distractions I can discover while the boring stuff happens.
The only quick High School graduation would be a home schooler.

I have to admit I am simply jumping on the band wagon, how do the woofs stack up against the Mavs?
It’s tough to say, the Mavs were beat up most of the regular season, so I don’t recall playing them when they were fully healthy. This being said, I believe the Wolves starters match up well, the Mavs will struggle with our bigger lineup. The wolves also have a deeper bench, which should help in a 7 game series, much like it did against the Nuggets and Suns.

we were 3-1 vs them this season but we didn’t play them after the trade deadline and i think they aquired a player or 2 to help their run…
their 2 best players are really good, i don’t know if we have anyone who is a perfect match against doncic, he’ll get his, similar to Jokic getting his.
But i like our veteran presence vs their young bigs, rudy and kat and naz should matchup well vs gafford and lively IMO

I did not watch the second half of the game, frustrated to no end after the 1st half. I checked the score on occasion, and when they looked like they were going to win, I did not turn it back on to avoid the jinx.

Last night was the first Wolves game I have watched in…man, about 10 years.
I used to watch the heck out of the NBA. I don’t really like the direction it has gone, though. I mostly soured out on the super-team building. I liked LeBron in his early years, but I had enough of him.
