Is JJ the best WR in the NFL?

Minnesota Vikings News:
Twin Cities comedian Cy Amundson hosts his weekly podcast with an opposing comedian from the enemy team, if you’ve never listened to this podcast you’re missing out, listen here, its fantastic.
Vikings are installing new field turf next year
As of right now the Rams are going to beat the FTS and get to 8-7, they look like they’ll definitely finish with 9 wins and possibly 10. The Vikings will need to keep pace.
We are all pulling for and praying for Zeph VP.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.

Here’s something to laugh at
Game Day thread is up
Ohhh, and Merry Christmas you filthy animals!
Merry Christmas Eve to you.
Mullens throws for 290 to 315 and a pick, Chandler runs for 75+, ultimately the Lions sack Mullens too many times and our defense struggles to contain Detroit’s offense. Vikes lose 27 to 17. NoDakastromeus has spoken….
I hope he is wrong.
Not unreasonable.
Expect the worst and hope for the best.
This is the way.
Cine inactive again.
Merry Christmas all!
GM
SKOL
No weekend thread…..
No gameday thread….
Good morning, SKOL!

SKOL!
NLNVF aka “Chargers Got No Shot” is wrong again.
Currently SD ahead 22 – 21 with 3m left.
Don’t know how it will end but Chargers certainly ‘have a shot’.
After his ‘Bengals win easily’ take, ‘someone’ is having a poor day with his NFL prognostications.
Utah-Northwestern looks to be very defensive.
Lots of punts and not much else.
14 – 7 Northwestern.
So NW led in punts, 14-7?
Gonna have to bundle up to play golf tomorrow morning. Teeing off at 7:45. It’s supposed to be 58 degrees with 10 to 15 mph winds. Brrrrrr.
Hard to be sympathetic about self inflicted wounds.
You’re on a roll tonight SoCal… laughing.
I got a weeks worth of Snarky comments all saved up.
George Pickens… 4 receptions for 195 yards and 2 TD’s.
Pretty good,
Not quite Randy Moss Good but still impressive.
Soooo can the Chargers upset the Bills now?
I understood that the Chargers were broken.
Head coach fired, QB out for the season, etc, etc.
They have NO chance…
Ummmm 10 – 0 San Diego.
Not saying, just saying.
Browning intercepted again!
34 – 11 with 7m left in the game?
Not sure that Come Back will make it in time.
It ain’t over till the fat lady sings…
She is warming up now.
Well the Steelers did it… handily too. Rudolph was not afraid to let it go and Tomlin was good with letting him throw.
+ they had over 100 yds rushing,
Harris with 78 alone.
Bengals on the comeback trail. 80 yard TD pass and two point conversion.
They were down ‘only’ 24 at the half.
It wouldn’t be all that impressive a comeback to Viking fans.
AND…. the Steelers come back with a 66 yard TD pass to go up 31-8.
But why didn’t the Steelers go conservative up by 24??
@Its obviously the smart thing to do@
I agree
Pitt responds with 66 yard td of their own.
Love it!
Air Force up 31-14 in the Armed Forces Bowl.
Having completed all of 3 passes.
Zimmerball at its best.
I’m thinking Air Force might could win this one.
“Bold Prediction there NLNVF, lets see how it plays out’.
Laughing…
AF wins 31- 21.
So at least you got one right today.
Browning with another interception! Can’t believe this. Steelers playing out of their moinds.
Because all of the ‘Smart Money’ was on Cinn.
Duh.
We have a gopher… no really… two mounds have popped up in the backyard in the last 24 hours.
We have had one put a dozen mounds all over our front yard in the last few months.
But given we have ‘desert landscaping’ and we are selling soon I really don’t mind all that much.
Hoping it eats the few weeds that have managed to pop up and save me the effort of having to pull them.
I once heard putting fabric softener sheets in the burrows nearest your house will sort of repel them. I think I’ll call a pest control company.
We had one a few years ago.
I was putting bait/poison in the holes.
Neighbor got it with a trap, said the gopher was too smart to go for the poison.
In minny you have to watch for mice. Heat seekers. Leave garage open they will find you.
Neighbor had a big bag of rice stored in his garage a few years ago, attracted a Rat.
The thing bounced back and forth between our garages for a few months before we got rid of it.
It never made it into the house, thank God. I managed to find and plug the hole that let him get into our garage.
Neighbor hired a Pest control company that got it eventually.
Looks like Browning has to pass more. He could have 2 INT’s easy.
He managed to get three.
Overachiever
Well so far the game is a shocker. Pittsburgh has run two plays… for 92 yards and a TD. Then they just intercepted Browning in the end zone to stop the Bengals drive.
Crazy game so far.
But some Smart, Knowledgeable and Articulate Person posted recently on this blog that the Bengals ‘win this one easily’.
So how is that possible???
Laughing…. so hard… who could that have been?
It is a short scroll down to find out.
Only 3 posts or so.
I have faith that you can figure it out.
Especially as you are Smart, Knowledgable, and Articulate.
Laughing…well, you forgot overwhelmingly humble too…
A good serving of ‘humble pie’ will help cause that.
Does it come with Coolwhip?
Could but that will cost you extra.
OK I’ll get a loan from the gopher.
Need a ‘spoonful of sugar to help your medicine go down’?
Lost a little street cred there NVF, although they can still win.
Not likely that they can ‘win easily’ down 14.
Left out easily. Back from Idaho?
Yup.
A 12hr drive back yesterday got us back about 7:30 PT last night,
I didn’t think I had any street cred… oh wait, I think I win the award for most downvotes…
Prob kfey. Never use thumbs up or down. Up sometimes.
Definitely KFEY… he’s pretty immature.
Irv Smith Jr is inactive for the Bengals… what a shock!
Not much left in the year for him to ‘break out’.
He might have to wait until next year Again.
Shocking I know.
Kitties 2nd with 140.9 yds per game, 4.8 per attempt
Goff 54.4 passer rating when pressured
Mullens-who knows
Kitties allow 95.9 yards rushing per game
I’m not real confident
Expect the worst and hope for the best.
This is the way.
Bengals vs the Steelers in about 25 minutes. Mason Rudolph gets his first start in more than two years after Tomlin benched Trubisky.
Steelers are an empty shell with lots of problems on defense too. As much as I’d like to see the Bengals lose, I think they win this one easily.
But Steelers/Tomlin have not had a losing season in 16 years.
If they lose this game they would have to win out to preserve it.
NFL is so unpredictable that logic has almost no place predicting results any more.
I’ll call it a coin flip.
all signs point to bengals win, but I never count tomlin out, he knows how to coach.
Hope browning gets sacked 8 times with 4 picks. Thought Bills@Chargers was on NBC but my guide doesn’t show it.
It’s on the Peacock app…
Just over 33 hours till Christmas!
Officiating crew that screwed Vikings in Week 5 to work Lions game on Sunday
Earlier this season, the Minnesota Vikings had a chance to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 5 matchup inside U.S. Bank Stadium.
With the Chiefs up by seven points, the Vikings had an opportunity to tie the game up with a touchdown. However, the officiating crew missed multiple calls for pass interference and for the removal of the helmet that ultimately resulted in Minnesota not being able to find the end zone, and they eventually left the field with a loss.
Well, that same officiating crew from Week 5, led by head referee Land Clark, will be back in the Twin Cities on Sunday for the Week 16 battle between the Vikings and Detroit Lions.
So you are saying that they Owe us??
@I am sure that the NFL has pointed out their errors to them and they understand that screwed up and screwed us and that they are sorry about all of that.@
Spot on!!!
For those of you looking for ‘Hope’ for a Viking win tomorrow here are 3 reasons why the Vikings will beat Detroit per the Viking Age.
https://thevikingage.com/posts/3-reasons-minnesota-vikings-beat-detroit-lions-week-16
1st Viking Defense Pressuring Goff.
2nd Running Game with Chandler.
3rd. KOC will stop getting conservative.
I don’t believe #3 but I guess ‘2 Out Of 3 Aint Bad’.
If KOC pulls that conservative, Zimmerball crap again with the season on the line, he should be egged.
He is playing ‘the odds’ at that point of game.
KOC thinks “We have a lead, they have not accomplished much, going conservative will maintain that lead and therefore a win.”
Except we have the lead because of the way we are playing, they are ‘not accomplishing much’ because of how we are playing!
Going away from our aggressive plays doesn’t ‘maintain the lead’ it provides opportunities for the other team to make plays.
Playing scared has scarred us much of this season.
Not sure about number two – regardless of RB. But hope is good.
If I had a “hope” it would be for Flores to not go soft at the end.
Hunter set to play. Mattison questionable but that has nothing to do with injury status.
Laughing…. Mattison questionable… nice call!
Read Kirk on sideline tomorrow. Maybe the impetus we need! Then again, i may be talking out of my as……
Can’t hurt – unless a play from field comes flying over and he gets leg whipped or something. But, maybe he can help call plays and remind Flores how easy it is to beat a prevent defense.
Merry Christmas and all the best.
Same to you JR.
I think it should help Mullens. I mean Hall can’t advise him much, and Dobbs? Uh no. Having Cousins there to talk him through situations and advise him would be a plus, I’d think.
The Possibility Exists.
There was some discussion the other day about how long do you give a head coach a chance to succeed. I found this little nugget along those lines and thought I’d share it:
“Since 1990, only fourteen first-time head coaches remained with their original team for eight or more years: Andy Reid (1999–2012), Tennessee’s Jeff Fisher (1994–2010), Brian Billick (1999–2007 with Baltimore), Bill Cowher (1992–2006 with Pittsburgh), Dennis Green (1992–2001 with Minnesota), Tom Coughlin (1995–2002 with Jacksonville), Jack Del Rio (2003–2011 with Jacksonville), Cincinnati’s Marvin Lewis (2003–2018), Chicago’s Lovie Smith (2004-2012), Green Bay’s Mike McCarthy (2006–2018), New Orleans’s Sean Payton (2006–2021), Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin (2007–present), Baltimore’s John Harbaugh (2008–present), Dallas’s Jason Garrett (2011–2019), and Minnesota’s Mike Zimmer (2014–2021).”
Not quite sure how to interpret this, but thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas to you and family.
Oh, it was just about longevity of first time coaches. Folks were talking about kicking a coach to the curb after 5 years if they didn’t make it to the Super Bowl. I thought that was a little over the top. So I shared the data on really how rare it is that a first time head coach lasts more than 5 years in the NFL.
Here’s a little more data on head coaches and winning records. As of the end of 2022, there have been 511 different men who have acted as the head coach for an NFL team for at least one game. If we restrict that to at least 14 games, we cut that number to 373 men. Using Vince Lombardi’s first season as a start point (1959), we cut that number down to 275. Of those 275 only 93 have or had an overall winning record (some are still coaching). So coaches roughly are successful (have a winning record) 34% of the time. Most fail. So getting a great head coach is who wins says 62% of his games is really rare.
When you change coaches, you’re going to miss wide right most of the time.
Merry Christmas to you and your family as well JR. It is always a great pleasure talking football here with you.
Thanks – a pleasure also. Does seem changing HC’s and QB’s is always a crap shoot.
Watching a replay of Rams/Saints game now. Two dropped passes and a poor decision to go for it on fourth down – 10 point swing results – and the game is over. Doesn’t take much to lose games in the NFL.
Yes, getting off to a slow start really puts you behind the 8 ball. That opening drive is important. Getting a TD or even a field goal makes a huge difference. The Vikings have somewhat routinely been behind early in games and had to battle back. Interestingly enough, we do seem to have “bounce back” TD’s a lot. That is, once the other team scores, we score.
Was reading something sort of interesting few days back. Both the Cowboys and Niners don’t play near as well when behind in 4th quarter. Shanahan has like a 1-35 record when trailing and Dak is a complete front runner. For that matter. the Eagles don’t exactly shine when behind late.
The Vikings now, maybe just based on a lot of practice, seem to be Ok playing from behind. Probably cause out strength is the passing game.
That’s interesting JR. I hadn’t heard that about the Niner’s or Cowboys. I guess I’m under-informed! I have always felt that Dak greatly benefits from playing behind one of the best O-lines in the league. He’s never had to play behind a bad line. Also the Cowboys always seem to have an exceptional running game for him to lean on.
The Vikings have more grit than people give them credit for in my opinion. They have played in tons of one score games and come from behind a lot. Maybe as you said, it’s just because they have a lot of practice.
Maybe just a half assed thought, but to me seems a little like a very physical prize fighter. For the most part, Cowboys/Niners can usually just plain out muscle most teams. But, if you can stand up to this and hold your own, they don’t play near as well late in games. Dak’s stats when playing from behind late, are not very good. And the Niners, look at their receivers versus ours – big difference.
Us, we can come out throwing and end up the same way. Heck we don’t run well anyway.
Good morning and SKOL to all. Christmas is just around the corner, but first we have to cheer for the purple on Sunday and hope for a great victory!
Good morning NVF, SKOL! A must win game for the Vikings, hope they will be up to the task.
Got back from the Saturday morning errands. Picked up some last minute groceries and Champagne for the Christmas dinner, picked up the dry cleaning, put gas in the car, and put everything away. The wife is at her cycling class, actually doing two classes today. First class she cycled 13.5 miles. Girl is a machine.
No flexing week 17 so Pukes@Purple New Years Eve 7:20 CST. Be a nice New Year with win.
I think we’ll sweep them. Will not be able to watch though, have a party to attend
Donkeys, Cubs and Bungals put a dagger in me. Will watch rest of way amusingly. If that’s a word.
I know what you mean mate, same here. They lost too many winnable games to still care about them this season. Hope they’ll entertain us the rest of the way.
The heart still beats….Hope springs eternal….
Fridays usually quiet but before Xmas real quiet. Happy Xmas to all the skolholes and Kathy.
Thank you, Norseman, same to you.
Thanks Chief, Merry Christmas to you.
The Vikings have ruled out No. 1 cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. (hamstring) for Sunday’s NFC North showdown against the Lions, the team announced on Friday. WR Jalen Nailor (concussion) is also out, and the following six players have been ruled questionable:
RT Brian O’Neill (ankle)RB Alexander Mattison (ankle)LB Ivan Pace Jr. (shoulder)LB Jordan Hicks (shin)DT Harrison Phillips (back)DT Jonathan Bullard (ankle)That’s quite the final injury report. Pace is a new addition to the list on Friday, but it sounds like he’s just being listed as questionable as a precaution. He was limited slightly during Friday’s practice due to some shoulder discomfort. Hicks practiced in full all week, so he could be activated from injured reserve on Saturday if the Vikings feel like he’s ready to go.
If O’Neill can’t go, David Quessenberry would get another start at right tackle. Ty Chandler is expected to lead the Vikings’ backfield even if Mattison ends up playing. The Vikings are hoping to have Phillips and Bullard available as their top two defensive tackles, but players like Sheldon Day, Khyiris Tonga, Jaquelin Roy, and T.J. Smith are next in line if one or both of the starters are inactive.
Danielle Hunter is not on the injury report at all after dealing with an illness earlier in the week.
List is a little long for me. Not good.
I agree. We’re gonna be heavily challenged Sunday. No bueno.
Just heard on Pace, maybe Mixon collision. Hope O’neill can go, think that’s against Hutchinson. TOP and no TO’s our best shot.
Saw a funny bumper sticker on the way to pick up the Honey Baked ham. It said “I gave Joe Biden a penny for his thoughts, and got change back”.
Been a bit MIA recently, sorry. Finally done preparing for Christmas, except for the food. Sweet sister and I got rid of most of our old Christmas stuff for the move, and had to start over. Pretty happy with what we did, for example, I can lift the artificial trees by myself. Couldn’t handle the big ones any more. Daughter and I are usually done with the grands before Thanksgiving, but they went to Dallas for that and other crazy stuff going on, so we were running way too late this year, which is stressful for shopping for kids.
Naturally we get the stupid Colts instead of the Vikings/Lions this week, so red zone for me, might have to record it due to errands.
Wanted to be sure to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
Should add we had the grands Monday through Wednesday this week so Daughter could wrap and finish her preparations. They are adorable, but honestly we were already tired before they got here.
Merry Christmas Kathy. Hope you have a wonderful time!
Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Feels bit better now that most of the preparations are done.
Merry Christmas Kathy! 🍷
Thank you, Merry Christmas, Hun!
Merry Christmas Kathy! And a Happy New Year!
Thank you, Merry Christmas VP! New Years Eve is also my birthday. You guys will recall, lots of holiday birthdays in my family.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you, DE! Merry Christmas to you and family too. Love the pic!
Merry Christmas Kathy
Thank you JacksonVike. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones as well.
More than a few DNP’s this week, even Hunter to “illness”.
All hands on deck – strong meds as necessary.
Davencouch to the rescue! (those 9 week ankle sprains are pesky)
Last game before Christmas… can’t hold anything back now!
My youngest daughter works at a local, regional airport. She went in for a 4:30am – 12:00pm shift this morning. They are between flights and things are slow, and her manager told her labor costs are running high this month. They’re telling her to clock out now and then clock back in at 10:30am when the next flight is scheduled. In the meantime, she doesn’t have enough time to get through security, to her car and go someplace else before she has to clock back in, so she’s sitting at her place of work on her own time.
I’ve never heard such a thing before and I’m wondering if it’s even legal.
Not sure but i’d be pissed.
I’d tell them I’m staying on the clock or I’m going home.
Total lack of respect.
That happened to me when I was a waiter in college. I told them “If you require me to be on the premise, I require to be paid. I’m going home, call me when you need me.”
They never asked me to sit off the clock again. Granted, I was a Veteran, freshly discharged from the USAF, so your daughter may not have as much influence behind her yet.
Not to mention I really didn’t give a shit about that job………..
Pretty bad policy.
I assume this leads to employees leaving and high turnover.
Yeah…she’s been with this company for about 2.5 years (they manage several of the airport kiosks and restaurants) and is one of their longest tenured employees because they do have a lot of turnover. She started working there when she was 15 and it’s been a shit show at times, but this is the first time they’ve pulled this crap. She’s planning to quit at the end of the year, although she’s said that before and then changed her mind.
It’s tough out there for our 20 year old kids.
Pretty tough to live on your own these days.
It’s probably legal, but just a horrible way to treat someone.
Totally ridiculous, but likely legal…
That is pathetic.
BTW…she works at VPS.
: )
FL is nice imo
It may be legal, certainly unethical. Sadly it’s how many of these companies operate. I’d tell her to walk – I’m sure you have. She’s young and it’s not the only gig in the world.
i hate poor people. they suck.
Proverbs 29:7….
“The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern….”
Luke 6:20…
”Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God”
Soooo, Freezey is going to hell????
Kinda sounds like it….
i was totally kidding…
but speaking of proverbs, i have been going through a book on proverbs with the kids at night and it’s been really good for even myself…
last nights was on the call of both wisdom and folly, and who’s call do we listen to the most. convicting to say the least…
Damage control?
LOL….
The book of Proverbs is awesome…much wisdom there, but it was pretty much summed up in that scene from the Office when the guy says
“Now before I do anything I ask myeslf ‘would an idiot do this?’ if the answer is “yes” then I do not do that thing, its changed my life”
Perfect! Thank you Bow!
-Sniffer
One of many great quotes, that show sniffer is a racist.
The R’s made him say that.
Poor white kids too?
No such thing due to white privilege.
Rodeo Drive in Appalachia
Do they suck to get money and don’t have to be poor anymore?
Some do, I have heard of trailer park trolling….I think it means something like that.
Hmmm… maybe MT should google it.
Noooooooo!
Sorry Gooose, the sign is the sign, no getting around it.
But Ben made it Goose’s thread today – his call on the cats.
I’m more important than Ben. My sign takes precedence. Besides, it also bans poor people.
Ben is an Admin – best not to mess with him.
That dog is getting a ton of attention these days… is that good for the dog”s psychical wellbeing?
Since Goose was a shelter dog of humble beginnings he’ll be alright.
Damn. Straight.
Have you ever noticed how many vagrants have dogs??
I am like dude, you’re living on the street begging for Big Macs, and you decide you can afford a dog??? People are stupid.
you meet people begging for big macs? the number of times i have offered to get “homeless” people food for them and they say NAH, makes me wonder how many even accept food.
Many years ago I was in Jacksonville, FL as a business training meeting. I went out with a couple of colleagues and as we were being obvious tourists some guy stopped by us and asked us for money and gave us a big sob story. I told him I didn’t have any money that was my own, but I could direct him to a local church that could help. He practically sprinted away from me.
Yes, it makes me mad when I see that. Although many of the beggers, make more annually than most of us.
BTW Merry Christmas NoDak.
Thanks Jackson!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you too!
Are you sure it isn’t a matter of the dogs having a vagrant?

I guess I need to leave.
I have two dogs, and I am poor.
But are you living on the street?? If you can afford shelter you can likely afford a dog.
no JJ is not the best WR in the NFL
Somewhat subjective designation. Tyreek Hill seems to be unstoppable to me.
JJ has shown the ability to catch balls while getting completely wiped out. That’s impressive to me.
Who’s the best? Matter of opinion.
i think JJ has skills that other WR’s in the league doesn’t have….
And i would say JJ probably has the best route running skills. Unfortunately poor backup QB play has hindered his numbers, as there have been multiple times this year he has absolutely shaken his defender and the qb doesn’t even look his way….
Entire route tree? Team at eight about to score, WR has single coverage wide side of field, who beats the coverage more often?
Well, I don’t know JR… is there any statistical data that proves in that specific circumstance one or the other is better? Is that the measure of which one is better?
Probably should ask the DB’s which one they fear most.
Just think Hill has like world class speed on the field. But JJ is top of class as a route runner and all around receiver. But has you said, it’s relative.
Yep…
Who’s better?
i’d say Hill is the best.
Hill is faster but not necessarily better, IMO. If he were better, with his speed, the numbers would show it. JJ has had more yards every year he has been in the league, with the exception of this year, due to injuries.
JJ has only looked good because of the QB that was throwing him the ball. And the Beetles of course.
Well, who could forget the Beatles.
Yeah, if we’re talking about abilities to choke and punch pregnant ladies and break the bones of young children, then yes, Hill is the best.
Made my first pizza on the pellet grill last night. It was good, but I think I will make the crust the day before next time. The crust was a little tough to stretch and chew. I like a fluffier crust.
Since Mullens is starting this week, I hope we do not see Hall.
But I still want to see Hall play more QB for this team before the season is over.
Just my opinion, but I think Hall is like Heinicke. He can run a little, he can make some throws, and he is a competitive guy with grit. That’s it. Lots of people are huge Heinicke fans. Lots of people are huge Bridgewater fans. Lots of people were huge RGIII fans.
Mullens gives us the better shot to win games, IMO…..
That’s how I see it.
On another note, I have no idea why KOC celebrated Dobbs so overtly and “annointed” him the leader of the team after the first game. He went way overboard as did the media on Dobbs. When you do something like that as the team leader, people will start doubting you. Players know.
Mullens has the ability to run the offense and make some plays with his arm. Will it be enough? We’ll see.
Don’t you think KOC had a soft spot for a journeyman QB given his own history? I do believe he later came to realize he went too far. Still believe that Bear game is goiing to come back and get us.
Think KOC has loyalty issues. Donatell getting kicked game after game. I fully expect Mattison if/can play to regain at least 50% of snaps despite Ty 5.7 YPC.
Ty should get 70% of the touches, anything less is unacceptable.
I don’t pretend to know his motivation, but his methodology makes me wonder about his leadership tenets. Give credit where credit is due, but annointing Dobbs the new leader of the team after one performance shows me a tremendous lack of acuity in my opinion. To me that was a complete rookie mistake, one the players will be looking at him sideways for. The leader of the team monicker is earned, not assigned.
Agree for sure on the leadership issue.
He was handcuffed at the time. PersonnottobementionedexceptonTuesdays was on IR, QB2 was injured, and QB3 got his noggin bounced off the turf.
Who else could he appoint leader of the team?
The leader of the team…
Now, continuing to start him after he turned into Oprah and started gifting TOs to everyone, after Mullens and Hall became available is inexplicable.
Always time for a quick psycho cat pic to counter the doggiemania on this here fine blog. Enjoy.
Perfect.
Love it!
First, congratulations to Goose for being the poster child today.
JJ the best – pictures don’t lie. Yesterday watched highlight video of JJ’s performance where he set record against the Lions in December last year – like 225 yards.
Nobody’s better than that.
Friday before Christmas…last day at work before long weekend…let’s do this…
Half the workplace is already out on vacation. I am completely unsupervised!
Might. I. Suggest.
BOX FORT IN THE BREAKROOM!!
Same here. I may go naked in the office, today.
Bailey’s in the Coffee!!!
Yes sir!
Workday over for me already, yay. Celebratory XMas beer has been had with colleagues, now off to do some last minute shopping.
Have a Merry Christmas HUN!
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones as well, NoDak!
Took today off. Feels strange. Had to burn PTO since only 40 hours carries over.
As a contractor, I used to spend the holidays brushing up on useful skills and updating my resume.
Now I just get to rant on here and have some daytime edibles.
I take every day off now. Took some getting used to, but it’s really pretty good. Biggest issues are should I engage in another QBOFT debate, or how to build a winning team. or have a BLT or chicken sandwich for lunch.
BLT, it’s always BLT.
How about a BLT with chicken?
QBOTF debates are for Tuesdays.
Sort of like 55 MPH speed limit enforcement.
Same.
I was off yesterday, today and off Tuesday, Thu, Fri next week.
Too much PTO so use it or lose it.
I’m off until Jan 3rd. My company allows a week carryover and will pay out the difference, however next year they are switching to use it or lose it.
We have 6 weeks carryover.
I will get that paid out to me when I retire.
We are a non-profit, so they have to watch the $s.
We are a local government.
When I started as the CFO 11 years ago, it was unlimited. I got that policy changed within 2 years. I was not liked, but there was no practical need for that much PTO.
Exactly. If you are carrying that much over, then you are not using PTO, so then you don’t need that much PTO. Some people just use it as an additional retirement benefit.
Salt mines have notoriously bad fringe packages.
My company allows for 320 hours of carry over…but we do not have any type of leave outside of PTO….Funeral? use PTO, having a kid? PTO. In the hospital for 3 weeks? PTO.
Same here.
We get 0 carry over so I have 12 hours to use before the end of the year.
Sounds fun, enjoy!
Good morning, SKOL!

I always enjoy Chris Gates 5 questions article on the DN, one of his usual questions is name someone on each side of the ball we need to watch out for. The Detroit guy says;
He had 4 receptions on 7 targets for 45 yards, Irv Smith Jr had multiple games like that and we refer to him as a bust.
I don’t think he is claiming that JW is dominant, but only that he has the potential to breakout like Irv’s claim to fame. Which puts JW in the underperforming camp at the moment.
When I read it, all I could think about was Five claiming Jamo is going to own the Vikings for the next ten years.
But yes, he is about to break out.
LOL.
Five has some fun hot takes
Five is just all hot takes.
Detroit fans are not happy with Williams, considering how high he was drafted. Quite a few already calling him a bust. He shows flashes, but at pick 12?

JJ is the best. Hill is the fastest
You put them together and you get Randy Moss.
Saints lose.
One step closer to the 7th seed.

Thanks Mjolnir!! I appreciate the correct greeting!
As I mentioned yesterday, many non-Christians in the US celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, so Merry Christmas is a very valid greeting.
Perfect, Thank you for your support.
