We finished episode 6 of Quarterback last night. It’s been fun to re-live that crazy 2022 Vikings regular season. The Colts game and Bills game were especially fun to re-visit. @I can’t wait to see the playoff game again@.

The Broncos Eyioma Uwazurike has been suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s policy on gambling, according to ESPN.
From NFL.com, the NFL named numbers 91-100 in their top 100 list. Trevor Lawrence debuted at number 96. Also, Marcus Peters signed a one-year deal with the Raiders.

At the prison there was no A/C just fans.
When we started our afternoon shift we had to start inmate showers (cuffed and escorted because they were that bad).
We sweated so much that we had white salt sweat stains on our uniforms to include boots.
I remember taking off my latex gloves between ‘shower runs’ and the fingers of the gloves were full of sweat.

When it was my turn at the podium, my position gave me a perfect view of the school board president, a voluptuous blond in a short skirt, who was clearly wearing no underwear.

I read your book over the weekend and posted a review on Sunday night.
Took Teacher to Physical Therapy yesterday and this morning so hadn’t seen you on at the same time as I was to let you know.
Hope it all worked well, I enjoyed the book and gave it a decent review (4 stars).

There are actually two different versions of the book out there if one looked hard enough, but I don’t acknowledge the first version anymore. I had no real help from the publisher/editor on it. Their first pass was cuckoo. Basically, the editor went through and any paragraph over five sentences they broke up into no more than three sentences whether it made sense or not.
“What the hell?” I asked.
“Publisher doesn’t like long paragraphs,” was the response.
Then that editor got fired and a new one came on and they basically gave zero feedback. Once the rights reverted back to me, I went through and reedited the book myself. The first version was too edge-lord anyway: way too violent and swear-y. I realized all of that was unnecessary….because of good feedback!
I learned a lot about writing in the process, though. Hard to believe I wrote that 20 years ago now. Different brain then. All I remember of the process was constantly referencing history books and grinding on it every day forever. I remember one chapter took me like two weeks. But that’s the process…
I am going to put the rest of my books on Kindle Unlimited, too. I didn’t realize it worked that slick.

I agree, but Cousins production has been solid every year since he’s been a starter. There’s thousands of hours of tape on him. KOC spent the whole season with him last year. There is no way his value isn’t completely understood by everyone. KAM isn’t signing his players to contracts where the player has some level of control over their destiny. He made that crystal clear when he said the Cousins offer wasn’t flexible enough. That’s his way of doing business. The Cousins camp got the message loud and clear. KOC will need to develop a plan for their QB1 for 2024 and according to KAM they’re mentally prepared for that.

I’d say the play calling was really bad…. couple screen passes that got stuffed? Run got stuffed? He did have a bad throw to KJ on third down that was just a bit short, but other than that, the offense overall was terrible. O-line got tore up with a four man rush, on a play where you’re running two verticals and a deep in. Can’t do that. Need to attack that wide open middle of the field underneath there.
If the play call isn’t right, Kirk needs to audible.

The screen plays didn’t break down until the blockers whiffed. What’s Cousins supposed to do about that?
Audibles are called in the huddle, not at the line of scrimmage. The players are given a second play in the huddle to change to if the QB doesn’t like the look. This is called a “can” call. Usually a can call changes a play from a pass to a run, or vice versa. Audibling to some play out of the blue likely leads to a disaster in a new offense that the team was clearly struggling with up to the last game of the season against the Bears. Being in a single system for years allows you to call plays on the fly. Cousins is robotic because he has to be. He’s improvised a lot in his career but never gets any credit for it.
Absolutely none of that late game shit matters….Daniel Jones went through our defense for 4 qtrs like a knife through government commodity cheese. He did anything he wanted all game. I don’t give a shit what Kirk did in the last qtr and DE Viking is a moron for continually bring it up as an example Kirk isn’t worthy of a deal or can’t get it done when it counts.
Without either a yea or nea for Kirk, the defense against the Giants was absolutely pitiful.

I guy I know from high school actually works with aggressive dogs to get them to change their behavior.
Many need to be rehomed and carefully managed after working with a pro to ID and eliminate the issue.
I would say to get help from a pro before putting it down.
I took a dog to a place here in the cities that does behavior assessments and conditioning, though I forget the name of it. He was always a little crazy but went completely nuts when we moved up here from CO. He just couldn’t stand to be alone and destroyed everything, including plastic or metal kennels, broke several teeth doing so. Valium didn’t help. I don’t know where he ended up but they said they were confident they could work with him and find a suitable home eventually.
That’s just weird. At least he wasn’t attacking anyone.
I had a pitbull bit me in St Paul about 15 years ago. I had small puncture wounds but I had a bruise the size of a football.

It didn’t like that at all, and bit me.
So I hit it again right behind its head, but with a lot more force. I nice one-handed shot.
That shot hurt it, but it was still ready to fight.
I then smacked it hard enough in the mouth to crack a few teeth. I hit it one handed to maximize my reach.
My neighbor came out with a yard rake, and distracted the dog. So I wound up to take a home run shot at its head. This was a double overhand, smash the fucking concrete shot.
I missed. It moved back just enough.
The dog was half dazed, and still aggressive. It was not leaving, and we just sort of stared at each other for about 30 seconds.
My neighbor just kept yelling “Shoo! Shoo!” Which I found really fucking stupid at the time.
I was honestly going to beat that dog to death if it didn’t leave, but didn’t want to get bit again. Before I did anything else, its owner came running up and put his dog on a leash.
He was also screaming at me about what I did to his dog, and that he was going to fuck me up.
UI really wasn’t in the mood for his shit.
The weird thing is his dog started to cower when the owner was yelling.
Anyways, the owner actually pushed me, and I really wanted to drop the bat and beat the fuck out of him with my fists, but I also wanted to have the bat for the dog.
I figured fuck it. and was just about to hit him with the bat.
My neighbor got between us, and his exact words to me were “Holy fuck! Don’t do it!”
He told me later he thought I was going to kill the guy. I was just going to smack him around a bit.
By this time the dog’s owner realized that I was inches away from handing out a beat down.
I remember he stopped talking and took a good look at me.
He took his limping dog and left.
Probably best I didn’t beat that guy.
The police showed up, and best they could figure out was that he was staying with his ex at some shitty apartment complex about a half mile way.
I never saw him again. Also never went to the doctor nor did I get a rabies shot as the police advised.
Good times in the big city.
That is an interesting story, I probably would have gone full on jose canseco with the first swing, but then again my dog is 25 lbs and probably would’ve been dead immediately if attacked by a pit. My PSA for the day is the police either need to track down the dog’s owner and get proof of rabies vaccination, or quarantine the dog if no proof of vaccination. Otherwise you should get the rabies shots.

Behavior modification is likely to be very expensive, and may not work – could depend on age of dog, and the circumstances of how it developed the behavior in the first place.
“Accidents” along the way can create horrible situations, and can be very expensive in their own right.
Given the answers you’ve given, I would not have that dog around my family and I am in no financial position to pay for training. Surrendering the dog is passing the issue on to someone else.
Depends how much liability you’re willing to risk. For me, one time of a dog seriously biting and it would be gone, I’m not looking to get sued.

Cardiac arrest is highest among African American men and also in basketball.

From what I’ve seen, the vaccine can cause an heart inflammation shortly after the vaccine. For some reason it mostly shows up in males around 12-25 years old the most common.
This would not be a difficult thing to study. Any state with a decent health department could pull the records of student athletes or whatever subset of people you want to study and check the death certificates.
The military should also show a lot more deaths. They just give you a shit load of vaccines and then work you until you drop.
If the vaccine was killing people, the military should have some pretty good records on this.
Even if they tried to cover up the cause, you can’t hide the amount of people dying.
As far as studies go, this would not be difficult to prove. If you are worried this is happening, write to a red state governor and get him to do a study with his/her own state department of health.
