Hopefully you all had a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year. I did not so much enjoy mine. I woke up around 2am on Christmas day with the chills, fell back asleep eventually only to wake up a few hours later with a bad headache and high fever like I was burning inside, took some tylenol and eventually fell back asleep only to wake up a few hours later is a state of excessive flop sweat where my hair and pillow were soaked, etc. Took some more tylenol, eventually fell back asleep, and woke up feeling a bit better for a couple hours only to start the same cycle again. This continued for about 36 hours, progressively waning in intensity. I started feeling a bit better this afternoon on The Feast Of Stephen.
Minnesota Vikings Discussion Topic of the Day
The Vikings currently sit on the outside looking in with additional season ending injuries from Sunday’s game. At this point, should the Vikings just say to hell with it, and play Hall the rest of the way?

Minnesota Vikings News:
Injury update, Hockenson (torn acl/mcl) and Wonnum (torn quad) done for the season and Addison (ankle) also injured Sunday. Woof.
Additional injury updates and KOC says they are evaluating the QB situation after the Lions game.
Vikings place in the NFL playoff picture after losing at home to Detroit Sunday.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.

I need this:
1st Hump day after, after dark just before daylight.
Good morning, SKOL!
FTP!
I’m in Florida and it’ a really crappy day. What part of Florida you in? Oh, and by crappy I am referring to the weather.
I’m in the northwest panhandle. It is clear and cool, this morning.
Thanks. Used to spend a lot of time in Pensacola and really loved Pensacola Beach.
Good morning… just finished my 7 a.m. meeting and on my second cup of coffee. Hope the Vikings make a decision on who will be playing QB on Sunday, and in the end, it’s the right decision.
At least the Wild know how to beat Detroit.
But it is only hockey.
But doesn’t any self respecting “MinnFan” appreciate hockey?
Appreciate? No!
I have been a match and when I was stationed in Colorado Springs I followed a lot of matches with AF Academy and the Colorado and Minn Collages.
But once the murdered the Stars I gave up on it.
Hmmm.
Kathy’s Louisville Cardinals vs USC and their CryBaby QB (not playing).
Who to root for??? @Such a hard choice@.
Go Cards!!
Sorry Ms Kathy.
Poor P.J. Fleck won’t get his bonus for making it to a Bowl Game this year.
‘Oh the Humanity’.

Injury report is out:
Receivers Jordan Addison (ankle) and Jalen Nailor (concussion), cornerbacks Byron Murphy, Jr. (knee) and Mekhi Blackmon (shoulder/illness), safety Theo Jackson (toe) and defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy (ankle) did not participate.
Defensive linemen Harrison Phillips (back) and Sheldon Day (ankle), linebacker Troy Dye (wrist) and running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) were listed as limited.
Tackle Brian O’Neill (ankle) and linebacker Ivan Pace, Jr. (shoulder), were listed as full participants.
Minnesota officially placed tight end T.J. Hockenson (torn ACL and MCL) and outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum (quadriceps) on Injured Reserve. Hockenson and Wonnum suffered season-ending injuries in Week 16 against Detroit.
What is the Couches status.
Thinking we could use him with Wonnum gone for the season.
Davenport remains on IR, and his 21 day return window has not been opened. He had some sort of ankle surgery due to a high ankle sprain, so I guess he can stay on IR for the rest of the season. No idea what the surgery was though, and no idea why someone would need surgery for a sprain.

Reading Wilson a potential to land in Minny makes me cringe.
4 years ago, hell yeah. Now, please God no. He’s somehow more cringy than Kirk.
I try to stay off of the fantasy/science fiction blog sites and just stick to the sports.
Wilson isn’t going to land in Minny….My God he has been washed for 3 years now, might as well re-sign Cook……
But this is a cautionary tale about re-signing Cousins, they are both about the same age, and one is clearly washed…..the cliff comes without notice.
That’s some exotic cypherin there NoDak… except that Cousins has shown no signs of falling off, and in fact was on pace for the best season of his career. Wilson was always a two trick pony. He could scramble with the best of them to extend plays, and he really had an exceptionally good deep ball. His QB skills were really limited to those two skills. Cousins is a much better NFL QB.
Still not Tuesday
Laughing… I’m a problem child, evidently.
Just out of curiosity, why the mystery of naming the starting QB?
And was thinking of something – how many times do you see an NFL QB throw for over 400 yards with 4 interceptions?
The first question…..I have no idea why they arent naming the starting QB. Maybe working on the messaging?
The 2nd question, don’t know, my off the cuff guess is that of the total 400 yard games, 20 percent had 4 or more interceptions. I am thinking you are usually passing that often because you are behind, you are behind because you threw a few picks.
Now I will have to try to find the answer.
A difficult answer to find without extensive research….it doesn’t look like its very frequent. I did find most 400 yard games by QB which also listed the total Picks from those games…the higher ones were
Dan Marino 23 picks in 13 400 yard games
Eli Manning 16 picks in 9 400 yard games
Tony Romo 10 picks in 5 games
Just think, he had thrown for over 400 yards with 3 interceptions and if completes the last pass, we win game.
I know, which is why I am O.K. with Mullens, especially since he said that last pass slipped….still, the pick on the sideline to Addison looked like an arm strength issue…
Looks like 13 starting with Otto Graham.
Mullins in ’23
Bortles in ’18
Romo in ’12
Frerotte in ’00
Brunrell in ’96
Esiason in ’96
Cunningham in ’89
Marino in ’88
Krieg in ’83
Woodly in ;81
Parilli in ’64
Blanda in ’61
Graham in ’52.

I would have never guessed that many.
Well done my arrogant idiot friend!!!!
I dispute the ‘arrogant’ half of your assertion.
My God, all those games since 1952 and it has happened just 13 times – and we are one!
Great research – thank you.
Google is my friend.
Manages to make me look ‘not so dumb’ sometimes.

Google and I don’t always get along. More than likely Jrob dum dum.
You know looking through that list I remember the Frerotte game in Denver (watched it). Frerotte actually through for nearly 500 yards, and also through for 5 TD’s and Denver won the game at the end. Good watch.
Boomer and Marino had over 500 yds.
Frerotte was the only 5 TD game though.
Guess if Mullens throws 5 TD’s and 4 Int’s, I’m OK if we win.
I just want to best the Packers.
For sure, and then the Lions. After that, the chips can fall as they may.
If he throws 4 Ints and 0 TDs I am ok with it as long as we win.
My Blood Pressure may not be but once the game is over it will be ok.
Looks like 4 wins, one tie and 8 losses?
Wins were not listed on the chart in the link.
It didn’t allow me to cut and paste the list.
So I typed it out and then needed a break rather than look deeper into the games.
I am old and had reached the limits of my ‘research skills’.
On the link, you can click on the date of each game.
It tells you who won. I counted them quickly and think my math was correct.
So Mullens is a top 13 QB all time?
Well, in his presser on Monday, KOC was asked about if there was going to be a QB change next Sunday, and he went into a rather elaborate explanation on how they were looking at the game film, analyzing the plays, and would be working together to make a decision. To me, it seemed like he was sort of playing up to the person asking the question. Like he wanted to show he was already covering this base. It seemed an odd response to me. He may be playing this out for appearances sake. Dunno.
As to the 400 yards and four interceptions question. That’s a good one! No idea.
just think the “drama” or anticipation is not good for the locker room.
I generally like KOC, but don’t think this is good.
This is even better if you listen to him speak. Lol. Wtf?
The best comment:
“Is he acoustic?”.
Definitely from a Packer fan.
An arrogant idiot, what a bad combination.
Hey I resemble that remark.
Except for the arrogant part.
Come to think of it, I haven’t run across too many idiots that aren’t arrogant. A humble idiot is a rarity.
Laughing… that’s good NoDak… really good!
‘Forrest Gump’ on line one.
“I am not a smart man”.
You found one, and he is fictional, congratulations!
Saw the comment below that Hall and Mullens were alternating snaps today. This is a bad sign. The decision should have been made by now, and the team should be marching out smartly. I’m not impressed.
All a show for the reporters. They didn’t just happen to time it so the reporters saw them each take a snap and then go to special teams practice.
Yeah, its not like they don’t know when the reporters will be arriving and allowed onto the field.
Yeah, it makes more sense that O’Connell has no idea what he’s doing.
Incompetence is much easier to accomplish than conspiracy is.
OK… I’ll buy “tactical deception” as an explanation. But that also seems like an enormous waste of a coach’s time and energy, not to mention the team’s. “OK everybody… places… places on the set… and ACTION”.
Not that complicated. Hey Hall, Mullens. You guys take turns for a couple minutes and then we’re gonna go to special teams. Ready, special teams time.
I know Bow… it just seems ver farfetched to me…

Hopefully this was just for show.
Whoever gets to start needs all the reps they can get.
Kumbaya Kev needs to make a decision.
I bet he has but doesn’t want to tip off the packers.
He already knows who will be starting and if its Hall he should be taking all the reps.
Good grief – as I mentioned yesterday, we are getting like the Jets waiting until midweek to see who our starting QB is.
Yeah, much like the Jets the Vikings also don’t currently have a starting QB on the active roster.
It’s the old saying if you have 2 QBS, you have 0.
Well, we got 3.
So, yeah.
3 is good, right?
Thats Logical.
Three is the number.

Kids were ice skating on the streets in Bismarck yesterday, 175 accidents, yuck.
‘175 accidents’
Kids falling or cars crashing trying to avoid the kids??
175 car accidents….but yes hard to drive safely when the damn kids are skating down the middle of the street…..Good Point.
Guess trying to drive on the ice that the kids are skating on complicates the process of avoiding said kids?
They are having fun though!!!
That seems odd, Bismarck drivers always seem courteous and are usually good winter drivers. Probably Minotians in town picking up Boxing Day sales.
I’m assuming you’re not a journalist. Comes across like 175 kids were injured/dead and/or they caused all those accidents. Either way, stupid kids and stupider parents.
No snow, no ice, open water in January. I’ll take it.
The Yellowstone has finally started making ice biscuits. I don’t mind the warm but we need moisture.
A crazy thought on picking a QBOTF – given the crap shoot nature as outlined below.
Why not pick up someone like Zack Wilson (was’t he like a number 2 overall).
He’s played for a crap organization, lack of offensive talent and not much coaching.
He’s athletic with a good arm and probably cheap.
would this be crazy? Or if you don’t like him. someone similar.
I wanted them to do that last year and draft one. This year, go ahead and give Kirk a reasonable deal, sign somebody like that and draft one.
That’s fine – was thinking though of developing Wilson into the QBOTF.
That would be unwise and not taking a step forward.
I think it is unlikely but picking up somebody like that as another option wouldn’t be bad. If nothing else you may end up with a solid backup or trade bait for when another team loses their QB.
That would be the only reason to sign him. Expecting him to be QBOTF when we already know what he can do would be…not smart.
After what he did this year, if I were to go in a similar route, I would look more at Locke and Fields.
Fields on the cheap as a worst case bridge QB would be cool. Or best case, you fix him and hes a legit starter long term. Either way, cheap and or expendable, and you have a rookie stud in the wings. Thats how this should be handled, not over paying mid tier aging vet QBs over, and over, and over.
Not a bad idea, I am not sure if it is a good idea either though…it has potential.
I’m not sure either. But other than Williams, is there a QB out there with more potential than Wilson? and he would be cheap.
A QB with more potential? Yes, several, depending on who comes out. Williams is a crybaby who paints his nails though.
I don’t pay much attention to college. Have seen Wilson play some and he is athletic with a strong arm. Potential – who knows.
His issue is between the ears.
As it it is for most all of them. After “adequate” arm talent, can you make four decisions in about a second and a quarter.
Justin Fields
It would be funny if the Vikings turned fields into a top 10 QB and if whoever Chicago drafted sucked ass.
Might be worth it for the entertainment value alone
The Vikings have a better team and when he throws it Fields does have a good deep ball. Maybe a year behind Kirk would calm him down and teach him to read a defense. And yes, it would be fun to see him succeed in MN after the Bears dump him and ruin another high draft pick QB.
He seems to arragant to ever sit behind anybody. Did you notice his talk after the great 12-10 victory over us. You’d have thought he threw for over 400 yards and 5 TD’s.
I guess it’s time to retire then. His next step is to take a backup gig and hope for an opportunity.
There were articles out that he might be a good fit in a Mcvay style offense.
He’s got a good arm and he’s athletic. Don’t think the Jets have done much to develop him.
Yahoo’s are a bit persnickety today.
Thanks to the pansy out there giving people street cred.
Ignore the nick Mullens part, but this is one big fuck up..it’s a video game.
LOL! Good one.
This is bizarre, apparently he wasn’t supposed to, but went out for the coin toss and told the refs we want to be on defense instead of we defer, now suspended
Lmao wut? Was he trying to act cool for his team or?
Jaire, not you.
Yep. Lafleur was furious with him.
Ya know, he is from Charlotte so I get it. He wanted to look important with his friends and family in the stands…..Just ask the coach though you moron! I am guessing the coach would have said O.K.
And keep your mouth shut. If you follow somebody else out there and don’t say anything that would be way better.
Most of the mouth breathers over at ACME are on-board with this suspension.
Tom Smothers dead at 86….
Heavy sigh…
My grandmother was a big fan – fond memories of watching them on VHS tapes she had.
Old enough to remember watching their TV show. It was funny.
Sad news. That was a funny duo.
I wonder if George Paton is still employed after the season. For Russell Wilson he sent:
2 first round picks
2 second round picks
1 fifth round pick
3 players
Then George signed him to a 5 year contract with 161 mil gtd. I’m thinking he is not employed by the broncos after the season.
May be the single dumbest deal ever made. SeaHawks laughing all the way to the bank.
Uh, I know you’re not new anymore, but the Heschel Walker trade was quite a bit worse.
Yup.
Being the best or the worst of a “bad lot” is hardly is hardly a good place to be.
The Vikings excel at being the smartest kid at summer school.
Vikings can win the Off Season.
That’s about it.
How do they get out from under that contract? Peyton hates Russ about as much as every one else, I know he want someone he can mold and tell what to do.
Seems like they’ll just eat the ded cap and move on.
I know another team that should do the same
No way the Browns will do that.
All that money and they have gotten 30 minutes of good football in two years.
Ill be honest I expected Watson to return to form this year, wow was that wrong. Between the time off and the off the field issues, he’s broken as an NFL quarterback, another waste of talent.
😀 touche
Excellent
Meh, he said the same thing for a couple days before sticking with Dobbs against the Raiders.
I don’t know about this. KOC was asked yesterday if there could possibly be a change at QB for the Packers game, and he gave a very long-winded reply that came across to me as “we are very smart, and we will analayze all the data, discuss it in depth as a team, and decide the best way to approach this”. Like he always want to come across as remarkably cerebral, when a simple answer could/would suffice.
Sort of like me.
rec for the first hint of self awareness and humility I’ve seen from you, ever. Well done, sincerely.
I’m assuming the Vikings will draft a QB in the first round.
My take:
Guys going to need a year on the bench to learn if KOC wants to call deep, ling developing pass plays.
You can’t throw a rookie back there and wait until JJ to complete a 30 yard crosser.
Also guy better have a cannon.
Let’s say we pick 9th.
Could trade up. Who are we getting?
There’s nothing wrong with our offensive scheme. OL is pass blocking better and our WR corp will get open down the field. Why not take full advantage of that?
Huh?
I’m not bashing our scheme.
It does require a specific set of QB skills to run though.
I was just pointing out that IMO, we would want to draft a QB that can hang in the pocket and make that long throw.
I don’t think mullens or Hall are particularly suited to run the offense we want to do.
I just wanted everyones thoughts on who can play in this system.
Cousins….
Burrow Thats 2 that come to mind right away.
But alas, burrow has below average arm strength and therefore is no good.
Those are the rules I just made up.
Probably has small hands too
Yes. Sad really that he will just not make it in the NFL.
Nephews…
Brothers in law?
Eskimo Brothers?
First time hearing that term.
After googling it The Teacher is now wondering what the term would be if they had the same partner at the same time??
I’m guessing Tag Team
This reply made her spit out her coffee.

That’s position specific though
Devil Bros?
There used to be a football team by that name. Sigh. Maybe they got cancelled because of the sexual connotation?
Yes, that makes sense, also, is that warren moon?
Yup. I used to have his autograph on a football. Played for them for six seasons, won five Grey Cups in a row.
I always thought he played in the USFL then went to NFL, I didn’t know he was an eskimo.
Should have drafted Hooker last year.
Misread – my bad. Agree with your post on what it will take.
I was just looking at a few of the draft prospects, and my thought is we need a big QB to run the offense we run. Maye or McCarthy would be nice. McCarthy would need to add about 20 lbs though. We cannot put a 6′ or less QB out there, when they will need to be able to see over the linemen after sitting in the pocket waiting for the play to develope.
The MUST take a first round QB. Trade up regardless of where they are at. I honestly do not care who we are getting, as long as they make the move. This franchise has played scared money for most of my entire life time, enough is enough.

JaMarcus Russell
Shouldn’t draft WRs in the 1st either because Treadwell.
To be clear – I AM ALL FOR DRAFTING QBOTF. As Ben pointed out, it’ll likely take a significant amount of draft capital to move up to a top 3 spot to get one.
Just pointing out there’s an endless list of QB’s drafted in the first round that were busts. This is true with most positions, but QB is the most important one.
That list of busts goes for all positions. The list of teams that have been successful with a 1st round QB is longer than the list of teams with a late round QB. You are more likely to find good talent at other positions than at QB. Of the 33 different QBs to win a SB, here is where they were drafted:
1st Round – 19
2nd Round – 3
3rd Round – 4
4th Round – 1
5th Round – 0
6th Round – 2
7th Round – 0
8th Round or Later – 4
Good breakdown, thank you.

Of the 14 teams currently in a playoff spot, 9 have a first round QB. That’s not counting the Browns or Colts who lost their 1st round QB.
And the Niners traded up to draft one who just got hurt and was outplayed by Purdy or Lance would probably still be there. So not only did the Niners use the draft capital for a QB, he’s not on the team, and they are STILL winning.
Vince Young
Matt Leinert

Remember that BCS Championship game between those two? That was a great game.
Yup. One of the best games I’ve ever seen.
I don’t follow college football much and I remember that one. Was flying home from MN. Pilot kept giving us updates and we got off the plane in time to see the last half of the 4th quarter.
I do, that was a great game, though watching it I thought, I bet both of these QBs will suck in the NFL.
Hurts was a 2nd rounder….
Well shucks, I was thinking he was late 1.
I actually did too – but remembered we took Gladney and I wanted Hurts.
And they took Mike Hughes instead of Lamar.
YUP. Gross.
I don’t know if they’d have been any different, Lamar has as many playoff wins as Kirk despite being on better teams and having better coaching.
Yeah and he has injury issues. Just trying to spread more cheer since it’s the holidays and all. They should draft a QB in the first and a kicker in the 2nd. Thinking of kickers of a football, what ever happened to that Araiza kid after it was shown the allegations about him were false?
I agree. No news on Araiza since the allegations were unfounded. I’m not sure why he hasn’t gotten a job, probably because the season had already started. Hopefully he gets a chance in the offseason.
I wanted him instead of Gladney.
Sigh
Scared, go put your Red Skins jersey back on, no time for scared here.

Dom Perignon cost more and comes in a bigger bottle?
based on where things are you’d need to trade into the top 2 to get one of the more sure things, IDK if the bears or cards will take a QB, but they will both be open to offers for those picks. If at nine you’re looking at something close to what Houston send Arizona last year to go from 12 to 3, maybe a little less but Houston sent #12, another 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd for #3 overall and a 4th. So likely it’d be something like that for #2, more for #1.
I’m really getting sick of tweets not working on here.
The developers told GF that they are working and when they don’t it’s because of a change at X that means you need to be signed into an account to see them. I’ve sent screenshots.
Yeah, that’s bullshit, I’m signed in, they don’t show up.
Just telling you what they told GF. If you change the x in the address to twitter they half show up but you can’t watch the videos or click on them. That’s why I’ve been posting it with the x and the twitter address.
Yeah that’s what I meant, it only half shows up and isn’t embedded
a heck of a lot of thoughtful QB discussion today. Surely, a lot about arm strength. Here’s a thought about between the ears stuff – not interceptions, that matter.
Take our bread and butter play to JJ – 25 yard deep drag. This is a really good scheme, but the QB has to play it smart.
First read is deep seem – we’ve seen some deep TD’s to JA on this, But the read is important to see the safety is leaving.
Second read, deep out to that side – we’ve seen deep outs to KJ on this. But also important to see that CB is leaving area.
Now, last read is JJ coming across. Pocket is going to hell and you need to deliver an accurate ball down there many times with not much of a pocket to step into. And then you are going to get creamed.
It’s a simple play we use a lot. But, it does require a lot of QB head work, and then a good ball.
Just something different beyond just the arm.
The deep crosser is one of KOC’s favorite route concepts. It’s effective against a cover 2 scheme, because the safeties have to work out who to chase. The slightest hesitation puts them two to three steps behind the receiver, and in JJ’s case, that’s a death knell for the defense. The problem is, it’s a long developing play, so the protection has to hold up. The receiver has to run clear across the field, past the centerfield defender and into the window, which takes around 3.5 seconds. The QB will throw the ball around the 3 second mark. If the QB has the arm to throw it, and the time, you’re getting a chunk play.
I think it’s a great play – makes the defense cover the entire field. Line is blocking a lot better and there are many options to execute.
Russell Wilson benched….
Seems to have lost it some.
That’s quite something. Buttholemouth is a douche and despicable person but I kind of like this move from him, Wilson seems like an entitled baby at this point in his career. Its definitely not based on his performance, he’s been way better this season and there’s no way Stidham gives them a better chance, its 100% because they are out of the playoff race and he is not returning to Denver next year. No reason to risk an injury and be on the hook for even MORE cap hit next year for Denver. That being said, this is probably gonna be the most expensive trade/release in NFL history as far as cap hit absorbed.
The statement mentioned something about preserving ‘financial flexibility’ for the offseason.
I think a big chunk of his contract comes due at the beginning of his league year and would be guaranteed if he got injured. I’ll look it up in a bit.
37 mil becomes guaranteed if he can’t pass a physical in the offseason, he is gone.
Looks like he has an $85 mill dead hit if they cut him though. Their only hope is a sign and restructure deal. Instead of drafting one Kwesi’s gonna use their 2024 and 2025 firsts and trade for Russ.
I would think some team would be willing to trade for him, all the ded cap absorbed his contract wouldn’t be terrible to the new team and he played decently this season. It is quite telling though that buttholemouth doesn’t want him, despite being a horrible human being he strikes me as probably being intolerant of a corny fraud of an individual.
So you are saying that Buttholemouth wants to be the only ‘fraud of an individual’ on the team??
If I’m understanding it right, the Donkeys would take a $46 mill cap hit in a trade and the team trading for him would owe him $21.4 mill in 2024, $41.4 mill in 2025 (guarantees 5th day of 2024 league year), $44.4 mill in 2026, $49.4 mill in 2027 and $54.4 mill in 2028. Dead hits for the acquiring team would be
2025- $66.6 mill
2026- $21.2 mill
2027- $12.8 mil ($13.8 if cut after option bonus excercised)
2028- $4.4 mill
Wilson is all those things – but he’s played pretty well this year and Denver is still alive in the AFC.
Wonderful discussion by TV folks about this right now. Appears Payton draws up plays, WR are open, and either Wilson doesn’t throw it or completely misses the throw. And that is driving Payton nuts
This makes me really happy
Just remember, that seemingly incompetent QB play was enough to beat the Vikings.
This makes me really sad
And a stupid prevent defense with DB’s that have lead in their shoes – can’t jump.
tale old as time….
Me too. I’ve ALWAYS thought he was a corny fraud going way back to his days at Wisconsin. Just a slapdick.
BECAUSE HE CANT PLAY FROM STRUCTURE!
sorry for yelling
And Payton is used to having one of the very best at. playing from the script – probably a HOFer.
Like on top of a building?
lol… yup.
Gooooooose Morning Skolobros!
I’d like to see Hall going forward. Doubt this happens.
Very much looking forward to Sunday – we’re still alive, lots of moving pieces and we need either Seattle or LA to lose at least one while winning out – do that and we’re in the tournament (and most likely a 1st round exit, but we’ll worry about that later)
Opportunity to beat a hated rival and extinguish their playoff hopes while keeping ours alive for at least a week.
Skol!
Good Morning to Mjolnir and Goose!
No longer really care about the team making the post season, but I know they want to.
I just want FTP to lose, and for the Vikings to sweep them.
My mother (RIP) had a great saying about the Vikings “As long as they beat the Packers, the season is a success”
Also, the first time I hear “F the Packers” was from her when I was probably 7 years old.
That’s a good momma. I agree.
Good thoughts. If we can eliminate the Packers, we sure as hell need to try loour best to do it.
Now, the Rams play the Niners the last game and that is going to be important for them. Not sure who Seattle plays, but they are sure beatable.
Now the playoffs. Remember a few years back a poor Seattle team got into the playoffs (losing record) and beat the hell out of the highly ranked Saints. A lot can happen sometimes – when ylou play the game.
Seattle has Pittsburgh coming up – that’ll be a tough game for them, especially if Pittsburgh’s newfound offensive success keeps rolling.
We just need to win out and have Seattle or the Rams lose 1 game.
Its really quite
probable possibleplausible.Yes, Mjolinr – THE HEART STILL BEATS!
SKOL!
I’d also like to see Hall, but, I’ll root for whomever they start. Gotta beat the Packers!
SKOL!
FTP!
Right there with ya MjoInir, I would like a playoff game knowing the likely outcome. Daughter is getting married Saturday, it was only $200 bucks more to rent the reception hall Dec 31, so gonna add a few big screens and any remaining wedding guest can watch the Vikes New Year’s eve. Would like a win.
That’s awesome! Congratulations!
You are a good host!
I only want the Vikings to win because my parents and sister will be here this weekend and they’re Packer fans. I want to bathe in their tears and not listen to them gloat. Agree on Hall as well. We know Mullens is an interception king. Let’s see what Hall can show in 2 games. 1 isn’t enough to make any decisions or assessments.
I get it – my ex brother-in-law was a Packer fan. Very much enjoyed using his tears for my bongwater…
Man I hate driving in Billings any more. Had a guy blow through a red light a good count of five after my light went green, saw him coming half a block away accelerating the whole time.
In Sam’s lot I was backing out, had the tail end all the way out in the lane and a guy who was coming down from the end of the lane pulled within six inches of my fender, glares at me until I pulled back into the spot. Saved him a ton of time as he ended up at the light just ahead of me at Cabela’s, then watched him blow through the red light on S Billings Blvd.
Buncha meth freaks I tell ya.
Yeah, it’s never been good and is just getting worse.
I got hit on my bicycle three times riding downtown for work over the years. Funnily enough never happened again after I mounted a gopro camera.
That guy at Sam’s annoyed me, I was thinking if you are going to let a vehicle pulling out of a parking spot elevate your blood pressure I’ll be seeing your brain soon on a stroke workup.
Anyways, you or I can watch Hall highlights all day.
If you watch his tape, he’s got potential. It’s why we drafted him.
But he is still a rookie. The game moves fast. Is he ready?
Will he ever be ready?
I don’t know. I guess we’ll find out what KOC thinks.
Ah yes, highlights. Take out the bad plays and everyone looks elite.
Yeah. I just wanted to show everyone that Hall is supposed to have a soft, but accurate deep ball.
That ball travels over 50 air yards.
I rewatched mullens throws and he’s really struggling to get the ball out in the air over 30 yards.
As I said before, I think arm talent is similar.
Hall hopefully won’t make so many stupid mistakes.
Or maybe he will.
Who knows?
I think Hall will make very few explosive plays other than things that are wide ass open, like the throw to Mattison in ATL that my grandmother could have made, but Hall also won’t make any risky plays, he might get fooled on a coverage or something and throw a pick. Its hard to say he would give them a better chance to win for sure because that is assuming he wouldn’t be throwing 3 picks per game and with a rookie you can’t assume anything.
Strange how a lot of red flags show up today after a few days of hardly any. Well, maybe not so strange.
Say what you gotta say Robert
I recall some time back, you bitching about the red flags. What’s your theory?
I was never bitching about it, I literally posted a riff on a quote from a song, your down votes mean nothing, iv seen what you up vote. If thats bitching to you I go recommend going back a few months when you were crying that I referred to you as NLFs comment Dog. Then crying to the mods the next day that something should be done about it. Thats my theory. Check yourself.
that’s bullshit and selective memory, Still it;s the Holiday Season and not worth getting into.
Regardless what’s your theory about today?
Oh, hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
No, thats a fact, I will go dig it up if you want me to. Just watch the hypocrisy. Agreed, Holiday season, so dont start nothing, wont be nothing. Theory is some folks ( more than one) came back from their time off where they do things other then yammer on here and now they are back today to set order again. My Christmas was alright, ready for the new year.
Not strange… completely normal. Red flags are just child state communications though JR. Baby tantrums.
Thumbs down for you.
Yes… and lots of them! Grin.
Also why I like Halls deep ball better than Mullens.
Also not just me. Scouting reports give Hall credit for throwing a soft, but accurate deep ball.
Mullens they just say he lacks the arm strength and throws defenders back into the play.
BSF that is an impressive throw…doubt Mullens can make it.
Yeah. He sets up past the 50 and throws it right on the money into the end zone.
I think people heard he doesn’t have a strong arm, and immediately assumed that means he’s got a weak one.
There’s a reason we drafted him.
Also, that 21 yard pass to proehl(video below) is perfect velocity right on the money.
He has an 18 yard beauty he threw in pre season to Copeland as well.
Right past tight coverage. Pops guys in stride.
College he had a 4-1 TD to int ratio.
He was careful and accurate with the ball.
The real question is if he is mentally ready to start?
Helluva throw.
BSF, every single NFL QB can make that throw. It’s a great throw in college. Lots of guys can throw the ball that way though. The NFL defenses aren’t college defenses. I watched a couple of Hall’s games while playing for BYU. He was afforded a wide pocket with clear throwing lanes the vast majority of the time. Any QB can make throws in that environment. Did he also makes some great throws with a defender in his face? Yes he did. But for the most part he didn’t have to hang in a very tight pocket, surrounded by big guys and make throws into tight windows. That is what he will have to do with the Vikings. We haven’t seen him play in that environment ever, and I don’t think he will be very good under those circumstances.
Well, I just watched Mullens try and hit a guy from about 35 yards out and instead of a TD we got a pick.
You can rewatch Mullens try it below. Pass is 10 yards closer. Otherwise very similar.
So I know of at least one QB that can’t make that throw and literally lost us the game.
https://vikingswire.usatoday.com/2023/12/27/vikings-film-room-nick-mullens-int-didnt-throw-to-brandon-powell-justin-jefferson/
This play drives me nuts. There was plenty of time for him to find Powell – instead he tried playing ‘hero’ ball and it cost us. At worst it’s 1st & Goal from the 7/8 yard line, and he may have scored.
For sure – a poor decision. 1st and goal from the 7 with 50 seconds left.
I was 100% behind having Mullens in since I figured he could get the offense going.
But I watched enough tape now.
KOC wants those deep routes, and Mullens lacks the arm strength to get the ball out there.
He throws floaters and gets picked.
He also makes some really bad decisions.
I don’t think that will change.
Anyways, arm talent wise Hall and mullens are similar, but I think Hall has a bit more zip and is known for his accuracy on hitting guys in stride.
So it really comes down to who will take care of the ball better.
An untested rookie or a vet who is known for being a cowboy?
Once Bitten Twice Shy.
Dobby lured me in with those first two games before his true colors came out.
NLNVF talked me around with Mullins but 6 ints showed who he was.
So now we have a choice of 2 QBs I don’t trust or a rookie who is mostly unknown at the NFL level. I know what we will get with Dobby/Mullins so the Hall has at least the chance of more upside.
I liked having Mullens as a competent backup that had game experience and had success (although limited) – something Mannion didn’t bring to the table.
Given KC’s durability I never thought it would be a thing.
You’re right on Mullens lack of arm strength – stronger than Dobbs, but not strong enough to ‘drive’ the ball downfield on deep throws – the throw to Addison that was picked should’ve been a big play – he underthrew it badly. The RedZone pick in the first half was a terrible decision – eat the ball or get rid of it – we needed points there.
Apparently the ball slipped out as he was throwing, if he makes a strong throw with zip its probably complete, but that’s not what happened, say what you but Kirk makes that throw.
I noticed on the play that it had way more loft on it than required for that throw – for a split second I thought he was throwing it away or to someone behind Jefferson. Wasn’t a tight spiral for sure. It slipping out of his hand makes more sense. Powell still wide open either way.
Yeah, not a bad read or decision, just a crap throw/slip, but that’s Mullens, if there’s someone open for a throw downfield he’s taking that over a guy wide open in the flats.
I addressed this earlier. Mullens decided to try and drill the throw into JJ, vice lead him a little more. That’s something that just happens during a play. Kind of like in golf when you have to decide if you want to chip a ball and let it run to the hole, or fly it all the way there and stop it with spin. In this case, he made the wrong choice. Showing a bad Mullens throw, and a good Hall throw in college isn’t really going to settle the debate though. The general opinion of Hall coming out of college was that he was not a strong armed QB. I agree with that.
You seem to ‘agree with it’ because it supports your narrative based on your Mullins Crush.
Not sure if your continuing to crush on Mullins is due to Short Term Memory Loss of six interceptions (could easily have been more) or refusal to admit you had misplaced your trust to begin with.
I don’t have a Mullens crush. I’m expressing my opinion on who I think is the best QB on the Vikings roster at the moment.
‘I’m expressing my opinion’
I understand that.
What I don’t understand is that you continue to embrace/excuse/support the poor play of Mullins (which is different but not better than Dobby) while downplaying the chances that Hall could be an improvement.
Unknown can easily be a positive when compared to a known negative.
I watch QB’s play from a QB’s perspective. Not always from a “did the play work?” perspective.
Having thrown my fair share of bad passes, I know that sometimes the ball just doesn’t come out right. So I watch how the QB is working the play. Is he making sound decisions? Is he making reads and progressions? Is he seeing the defensive adjustments post snap? Is he reading his keys? In other words, is his brain working? Mullens actually plays the position of QB pretty well. He executes the offense. His flaw is he wants to be a football hero and make great plays, vice simply taking what the defense gives him. He really doesn’t want to check the ball down.
To me, it is far easier to rein a guy in than to get him to play aggressively. Mullens plays aggressively.
You seem to be contradicting yourself.
‘he making sound decisions’
‘Mullens actually plays the position of QB pretty well’
vs
‘he wants to be a football hero and make great plays, vice simply taking what the defense gives him’.
Originally it was ‘hopefully he learned to reduce his turnovers’.
Now i’is Turnovers are ok because he is being aggressive?
So how is it ‘smart football’ to continue to make decisions that result in turning the ball over again and again?
He hasn’t learned yet I have little faith that he will suddenly learn it this week.
Again, I’m referring to playing the position. Every QB makes poor decisions and poor throws at times. Comes with the territory. I’m watching Mullens as he processes the play and executes it. He clearly knows what he’s doing. He has to throttle back his desire to make every play a big play. That’s his Achilles heel, not his ability to play the position.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
“he processes the play and executes it’ but ‘but has to throttle back his desire to make every play a good play’ which results in turnover after turnover his entire career.
So being ok with the right ‘process’ that causes the wrong results time after time does not work for me as well as it evidently does for you.
We can certainly agree to disagree. I can see where my position can be devined as confusing though. When a QB executes a play, he has many actions to take. Running a play takes good footwaork, play fakes, etc from a pure physical and athletic perspective. Beyond that though is how a scheme wants him to work through progressions. In most NFL offenses there are a large volume of passing plays that establish the QB’s initial read based on the placement of the safeties. The field is divided in half, and if the QB reads the safeties and linebackers correctly he works either the left side or the right side of the field first. Mullens does this well, and he also takes the correct number of steps on his drops in time with the receivers routes. In addition he does not rush his throws. So from my perspective as a QB, he is very good at the position. He just can’t stop trying to make big plays all the time.
The opinion on Hall coming out of college was he was not a strong arm thrower, but he threw a nice, accurate, deep ball.
For some reason everyone immediately latches onto the “not a strong arm” and seems to ignore the fact that he has a soft, but accurate deep ball.
Anyways, I’m not going to pretend his arm talent is a lot better than mullens. Very similar.
I don’t think there’s anything Mullens is doing that hall can’t do.
So as far as arm talent, hall is at least on par with mullens. Personally, I think he’s a bit better.
For me, it all comes down to who will make less mistakes.
I’m just not sure if Hall is ready for the pros.
But I’ve also watched mullens turn the ball over way too much.
Does a rookie do that?
Maybe
Probably.
Who knows?
I’d like to find out.

Oh man! Ben Dumdum is sick.
Heard influenza is peaking right now.
Thanks Ben for getting off of your death bed and bringing up a thread.
Get well, drink lots of fluids, don’t die.
Well boys and girls and folks of confused gender identity,
I hope you all have a very Happy New Year.
I will be starting my trek to Minneapolis in a few hours, stopping and different friends and family along the way and arriving Saturday afternoon. I likely won’t be on much till next week…you guys take care and be nice.
Safe travels NoDak. Have fun!
Have a great trip. Hope the Subaru is still running strong.
Thanks, taking the Sequia for that trip, especially since there will be 4 of us.
Sequia’s are really great vehicles – they drink gas though.
The Subaru is running really well, the after market car starter does tend to drain the battery, and they say it will be a hassle to take out. They just put in a bigger battery and for the last 2 weeks it has been running really well.
It’s the Holidays – don’t worry about a little gas money. It’s all about comfort on long trips.
Change of plans do to the icy road conditions in the southern and eastern part of ND, we will be leaving tomorrow morning….you guys will have to put up with me today.
I’m down with it…
Good – more sanity is always needed.
Thanks for the compliment, but compliments are generally discouraged on this blog site…half veiled insults are the preferred mode of communication.
thoughtful and insightful posts never go out of style.
Safe travels, mate. Happy New Year!
Thanks HUN! And thanks for your faithful Wednesday posting.
Don’t believe a team should ever say” to hell with it.” Outcomes to games always mean something. Few years back Doug Peterson said screw it and played a 3rd string QB giving the game and a playoff spot to Skins and eliminating Cowboys. Next day Peterson got fired. A lot of folks pissed.
Play to win and play the best QB that gives you that chance.
I completely agree, and the athletes in the locker room are not going to be happy if their head coach decides to just “experiment” at QB. They know which guy gives them the best chance to win.
Makes sense.
I just think it is a damning indictment of the front office if Mullens or Dobbs give you a better chance than the guy you just drafted in round 3 and has had a full season to prep.
Round 3?
Well, Mond was drafted in round 3 and Mannion still gave the Vikings a better chance to win than he did his rookie year. Hall was drafted in the 5th round and its not really a damning indictment if a veteran who has over a seasons worth of experience gives the team a better chance to win.
My bad. For some reason I thought Hall was in round 3.
Ok then, we can start the “Fyre Everyone” chants after Mullens lays a stinker vs FTP.
I would rather see Hall. Detroit is not a particularly great defense and Mullens just threw four picks and is the #1 reason the Vikings lost. GBs defense sucks and would be a good time at home for Hall to start.
Well, on the other hand, Mullens was also the #1 reason they had a chance to win at the end though. He moved the team well, and overcame a 4th and 27. Hall ain’t doing that.
THIS^^^^^
LOL, he’s also the reason they were behind with all his picks, and tell me again how did that last possession end?
I get the perspective, but he and the offense put up 24 points, and yes, one poor throw from winning the game. He decided to try and drill the ball into JJ vice leading him more. Bad decision there, but it was just that close. Happens in the NFL.
If he doesn’t throw 4 picks Detroit doesn’t score 30. He made some really good throws but you’re not going to win 99% of games throwing 4 picks.
Totally agree, but you’re not going to win games without scoring points either. You must have a QB who can throw TD’s.
Missing the big picture. The blame for the loss falls right at the feet of “He whom cannot be named except on Tuesdays”
3rd and 27….
OK… thought it was 4th down.
As far as I can tell from the more credible reporters, the Vikings FO would like Hall out there.
KOC for some reason still has a soft spot for Dobbs, but it realistically will come down to Mullens or Hall.
I think the real issue is that all three QBs on the roster do not have a cannon for an arm that KOC needs if those are the plays he wants to run.
He also has shown no interest in tailoring the offense to fit the QB.
Mullens would be a much better fit throwing 15ish yard timing routes.
You can mix in those deep balls too.
Dobbs was better not knowing the play book and just running around and making shit happen.
What does Hall bring?
If KOC wants him to stand in the pocket and throw more deep routes then any Viking in the last 15 years, I’m not sure a rookie is the guy for that.
That was a bit of a different situation, he pulled Hurts in the 4th quarter when they were behind in a one score game, which the players interpreted as tanking. Not only that but reports were it was an organizational decision that they were going to play the 3rd string guy in the 4th but when there was backlash the FO and owner threw Pederson under the bus and blamed him.
That’s a little different than telling your team, hey look, we’re not sure if things will be better or worse with Hall in there but Mullens has thrown 6 picks the last two games, which significantly influenced the outcomes of both games, especially Detroit, so we’re going to give Hall a chance. You can’t just let a guy keep fucking throwing the game away and have no accountability either, you lose the locker room doing that.
My thought was play the QB that gives you the best chance to win.
WRT the Peterson game, they are of course different, but he did get fired as many other teams (owners) were pissed.
And, at the time, Peterson said he had only seen the guy play in practice and he “deserved” a chance – so we cold see what he could do.
And hell yes, turning the ball over will absolutely get you loses.
The Broncos said hold my beer on that one pretty quick.
As the season comes to an end, the way ahead for Kirk Cousins will become a topic of discussion for pillocks and pundits soon. For me, there are over a dozen teams that might be interested in garnering Cousins services.
Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Chicago Bears
Denver Broncos
Las Vegas Raiders
Minnesota Vikings (not really, he’s done here)
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers
Seattle SeaHawks
Tampa Bay Bucaneers
Tennessee Titans
Washington Commanders (another long shot)
If Purdy doesn’t get his magic back, you might add San Francisco to that list.
According JR, Cousins has some Florida ties. Tampa Bay might be a real possibility here.
No longer Tuesday. Not taking the bait today.
This is a valid discussion point, regardless of the day of the week.
It is a valid discussion point.
I am just trying to make Freeze and BSF and others less salty about my constant QB bashing. So I keep it to Tuesdays.
You’re a good man Surly.
Read below – appears to have started far earlier.
Also appears the value and validity of your football opinion are determioned by how long you have been a fan.
Well, I have only been a fan of this team since 2014 since I quit them during 2010, and prior to that quit them after 41-0, and then quit them after 98 and take a knee, and quit them after Darren Nelson dropped a pass at the 1 yard line, and after Drew Pearson pushed off….
me at the end of most seasons….
I like the way Brown ran the ball in the old days. Pretty good front four too. But I was a little faster in those days too.
Cards – no, they are a rebuilding team and they are not taking on the ded cap hit of cutting Murray and no team is trading for his contract, they are stuck with him
Falcons – maybe but not likely unless they hire a new HC Kirk wants to work with
Bears – no interest, they either roll with Fields again, or more likely take QB #1
Broncos – unlikely as Wilson’s contract would be difficult to get rid of
Raiders – I could see this as possible if they keep Pierce as HC
Vikings – I doubt it as well
Patriots – Unlikely unless BB stays there, but sounds like he’s on his way out
Saints – Unlikely as Derek Carr is signed for couple more years and they likely retain the HC for another season
Steelers – Unlikely
Seahawks – zero interest from them
Bucs – probably not, Mayfield has likely done enough to remain there
Titans – Probably not, they’ll likely sign a backup caliber guy like the red rocket and roll with Levis
Redskins – not a long shot, new management and an entirely new football operations staff is likely as well.
Purdy had one bad game, he’s entrenched there, especially at his salary.
Only teams that would have definite interest would be Pats, Raiders, Redskins and that’s depending on what happens with those coaching staffs. Who knows what happens the Monday after the season ends and the HC firings start happening though.
Your last sentence says it all. If I’m betting, and I do have one already, it’s Vikings.
Purdy is cheap, but if he screws the pooch the rest of the year and in the playoff’s he’s expendable. I still think Tampa is a distinct possiblity. Mayfield runs hot and cold. Cousins is the ultimate “steady Eddie” of the NFL. Most consistent producer in the league for 8 seasons and was leading the league in passing TD’s when he went down in week 8. I think a lot more teams will be interested in Cousins than you do.
Hmmmmmmm 🤔
I agree with your assessment, but you forgot the team to the east. Other than MN, GB makes the most sense.
I think Love has done just enough they keep him another season.
Hopefully. With the injury I don’t see any team actually having interest in Kwirk unless they lose their guy in OTAs or Training Camp.
Cousins will have a lot of interest. He is a very, very good NFL QB. OC’s around the league know their offense can succeed with Cousins under center.
Good morning, SKOL!
FTP!
Happy Hump Day!
Ah my bestie! Thank you.
Yes, we should run Hall out the next two weeks. I believe we will sign Kirk to a 1-2 year contract and draft a QB in the draft. I believe right now we are in the top 10 picks, depending on tie breakers.
I would not mind that. Run him out there and see what he’s got.
I think that’s just a pure “give up” move. Hall isn’t the guy. He might be a decent back-up, but he’s not going to be a solid starter. Trotting him out there will tell everone the Vikings have quit. Mullens is on the edge in that regard. He actually CAN run the offense as designed, and put points up. Now, he is making some mistakes for sure, but in watching him play, I see a guy who knows what he’s doing. He has to learn to take what the defense is giving him a little more, but he is naturally unafraid to let the ball go. I see a lot of “good” in Mullens.
There is not much to base that upon. He did not do worse than Dobbs or Mullens in his limited (2 series) play. In my mind, re watching the one solid drive, he looked better than either of the other two options.
I understand the team will not give up as along as there is even a slim chance of making the playoffs. I just do not see how Mullens or Dobbs give us a better chance to win since both are terrible turnover machines.
Most of us also want to find out if Kwesi screwed up yet another draft pick and wasted a third on a QB that will never see much time.
I can answer that question on Hall. Yes KAM wasted a pick on him.
I hope you are wrong.
I am pretty sure you are correct.
I would still rather watch a different train wreck.
I want to see big throws and big catches. That is NOT Hall’s game.
But if they win with 10 yard routes, and a few decent scrambles, and zero turnovers? That, to me, is more fun than watching Mullens throw for 350 and 2 TDs and 2 INTs and a loss.
I get that, but we’re going to need to put up 24 points or more again Sunday to win. The Packers are going to want to win and put themselves into the playoff race. Mullens is the only QB they will have to worry about beating them deep.
Hall has a better deep ball than Mullens
You know that how???
Although its hard to imagine someone having a worse deep ball than Mullens
Twitter has damn near every pass he threw in college.
You can watch them all day long if you want to.
Is that really the test? How about an 18 yard sideline from the right hash to the left sideline. Rainbow or string – that’s the test for arm talent.
That 21 yard pass to proehl I posted above was a thing of beauty.
That was a fine pass and I’m not knocking Hall. but he did take two steps forward which does help with putting “steam” on the ball. Can he make that throw with about a half step – that, to me,is the real test.
Again, he may throw a lot better than Mullens, but I’m not sure that is the appropriate test.
Well I’m of the opinion (right or wrong, good or bad) that of the three QB’s on the roster, Mullens has the best arm. I watched some BYU games with Hall and my take on him is he’s Hienicke with a weaker arm. Just my opinion though as I said.
If only he would quit throwing behind receivers.
He’s completed 69.5% of his passes though, so he isn’t missing a lot.
And that’s fine.
Go take a look at the video of his 41 yard TD though I posted above. Air yards is over 50 yards.
I saw it, and I’ve seen him throw a lot of good deep balls on highlight reels. That’s why they call them highlights. You’re seeing all his best throws and plays in college. This is the NFL though. RGIII was great in college if you recall.
That’s a good game plan for winning. But are our WR’s built for the 10 yard routes or more down the field stuff – not to mention our entire offensive scheme.
We’re currently at #14 in the draft, but if we lose our final two games, we would be in the top ten, maybe as high as five depending on a plethora of circumstances.
Good morning and SKOL. Already on my second cupper… time to rise and shine!
Had my two cups of coffee, and rowed a 7k.
Ready to attack the day
Way to go Surly!
Happy hump day!
YESS!!!!
ITS NOT THE 27TH THIS THREAD IS A LIE!
Also I bartend New Years eve, im glad, Id rather make some good spending money than watch the corpse of the Vikings lose to the Packers at home. And since its still Tuesday (may he continue to rest indefinitely on his couch at home) I am hoping this will be a swift end to Kirks time in MN and we are no longer subjected to him in a Vikings uniform. The future needs to start now, deep down KAM knows it, KOC knows it, hell Deer boy probably knows it too. Anyone whose been a fan of this team longer than 6 years knows it too. And following Kirk from the Redskins doesn’t count. Sorry.
Justin Jefferson: “I really think it goes to show the rest of the world the type of player Kirk is. At the end of the day, this is a tough league. … It’s tough not having 8 out there, the captain that he is, the leader that he is. He’s a great player.”
You keep bringing up Kirko.
It is not Tuesday.
I play by my own set of rules…
I admire that.
Laughing… and that would affect me how? Grin.
It would give you lots more time to do actual things that benefit your life.
I actually do a lot… you might be surprised.
Not surprised, never figured you for a slacker.
Lol yes, I expect the wide receiver to bash his current starting QB and tell us how he really feels. Not. You can slurp up the PR and copy and paste it on here all day. Doesnt change a damn thing.
Laughing…
Yes, clowns and rubes unable to see when they are wrong tend to do that. Its a coping mechanism.
Once in a great while I miss bartending. I worked at a few different sports bars in the 80s/early 90s. Chammps and Sensers. Great tips while the team was winning, and over holidays. Also met some great people over the years while doing that.
January was normally brutal for tips, since the team was out and people were doing silly things like “Dry January”
Yeah Sober January new years resolutions. Im taking time off in Jan so not too worried. I actually got a date with a gal tonight that I met working last Saturday, something about the holidays and being single, I didnt even have to try.
Happy Hump Day!
Posting before hump day is forbidden, BAN HIM!
Ban me? Or the Admin that posted the thread early?
I’m not going to waste my time scheduling the thread to post an hour and a half later.
Hope you are feeling better than you were per the TMI mythical words on top.
Better, not great but better. Now my one of my ears is clogged.
Yes please.
I will watch Sunday night, and drink a lot. I would rather laugh at Hall vs Mullens or Dobbs, and at this point, could he be any worse?
Its the same as laughing at Deer Boy before them, when your expectations are exactly what happens, all you can do is be asked to be entertained. Hoping they give me a reason to change my expectations soon
