I hope all of you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I hope you also took at least a moment to be thankful to those who gave their lives in defense of our freedom, never forget to remember.
We did a lot of yard work over the weekend. Then, I had a bit of a mishap cutting down a big portion of an old Spruce tree in the yard. I was up on a ladder, & a hefty log fell awkardly & landed on the back of my leg. I went in the next day (yesterday) to get X-rays, but they didn’t see any stress fractures. Oh well, I guess I’ll take a day off of running.

Those guys are really slow…
Yeah but they can literally levitate!
Gotta be the greatest OTA session in the history of Vikings football……
Welcome to Disney
Yeah… disturbing…
According to this ESPN depth chart, the Vikings currently have three guards on the roster. Two left guards and one right guard.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/depth/_/name/min/minnesota-vikings
Based on prior years thinking, a tackle can be a guard and vice versa, so the Vikings have plenty of guards.
I question if they have a single guard on the roster.
No… they’re married…
Thanks….
Is the NFL making “tuck friendly” uniforms yet?
Yes… Minnesota nice is leading the charge!
not sure on that but Brady established the tuck friendly rule
The chatter from OTA’s about the defense doing things that are not normally seen until well into training camp and beyond. One player said it was “week 12 stuff”.
We have to take this early talk as just that… early talk. Last year the early talk was Donatell’s defense was hard to decipher pre-snap. Apparently, other teams figured it out though.
I DO hope this defense “brings it” this year. Been too soft for far too long.
I read another interesting article on this subject…let me see if I can find it and I’ll post it but the jest is that Flores scheme is somehow going to be a lift for all the boats in the harbor. I remain skeptical.
And while the Vikings want to maintain the status quo on offense, they need improvement on defense. That’s where new defensive coordinator Brian Flores comes in.
The Vikings’ pass rush last year was anemic, tallying just 38 total sacks, in the league’s bottom third.
Fortunately for Minnesota (or perhaps by design) Flores has overseen one of the league’s biggest pass-rush overhauls when he was head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Known for a creative, fluid and aggressive scheme, Flores’ Dolphins finished last in sacks in his first year but by the time he left Miami two years later, his unit had shot their way into the top five. In 2021, the Dolphins recorded 48.0 sacks — and they did it without having a single player hit double digits in Flores’ three-year tenure.
That’s because Flores’ fronts change and evolve. They confuse opponents with the variety of players that could be coming on a blitz. There’s a delicate balance between having a ton of checks or options and not overwhelming players from the jump. His scheme also incorporates exotic personnel groupings in the defensive backfield in an ever-rotating cast of characters to keep offenses on their heels.
If the Vikings’ personnel can grasp his system quickly, they could be in for a Dolphins-esque turnaround as soon as this year.
“I think they understand my nature as far as wanting to be aggressive but not reckless,” Flores said while meeting with the media last week.
So while the Vikings had close calls last year and were perhaps not as good as their division-champion crown would suggest, they also have continuity to lean on, belief to fall back on and a vastly improved defense that could keep them out of trouble while the offense continues to score.
What continuity on defense is this article referencing at the end? That makes no sense.
They’re not speaking specifically about the defense but the team in generally being able to will themselves as a team to win close one score games.
Well KAM has been credited with this massive roster turnover so I doubt continuity is something one can reasonably assume will be a factor.
You don’t win 11 one score games, first time in league history, without having continuity. It can’t all be because of Kirk.
I also found this line of thinking by KAM quite fascinating and it gave me a different way of understanding how their philosophy on a rebuild is thought about and understood. It’s more about a mindset as a team and group of men that X&O’s and building a good team on paper which we’ve seen look amazing at the start of a season and not meet potential or completely flop on the field. It is certainly a different way of going about it and I think probably connects better with this younger generation of players and how they think vs the old school way.
Are you as good as your record shows? Who’s to say? But the silver lining of a season in which you play in (and win) 11 one-score games is the ability to overcome adversity with continued belief in your team, which is an intangible necessity for success.
That ability is one they can carry over into this year and the Vikings’ “competitive rebuild,” as general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah put it.
“We’re all aligned on what our vision is and how we see the needs of our team this year, next year and overall our whole time horizon,” Adofo-Mensah said at the end of March. “I think when people look at teams they sometimes do it in a very binary way. And they ask, ‘Are you either all-in or tearing down and rebuilding?’ And I don’t really look at the world that way. The way we look at it is we’re trying to navigate both worlds, we’re trying to live in today and tomorrow, or the competitive rebuild, however you want to phrase it or market it, and so I think that’s kind of how we’ve approached this offseason and our time horizons going forward.”
Steven Covey: Begin with the end in mind and put first things first.
No end in mind, no plan, just flow along and live in today and tomorrow. What a load of crap. Don’t ever commit to a single thing. Then you never have to say you had it wrong. This guy is an academic poser.
Retort: To have a plan with an end result and then find half way through the decisions made did not produce the predicted outcome is in the end a failed plan.
KAM never said he has no plan, in reality he’s said many times on video in conversation with KOC during the draft “It fits our plan.” So he and they have a plan not a gypsy hippie free love it’s all cool man con job to not take blame like you’re insinuating.
It’s just a plan that can adapt to the thousand of variables at play, what other teams do, what your players do, who gets injured etc…. I think it’s smart to be flexible and maneuverable to unforeseen outcomes just like what happens in games and throughout a season.
You just don’t like a new age approach, it’s foreign and uncomfortable.
You really stretch things sometimes Lifer…
What specifically? My assumption of what you mean or what KAM means?
“KAM never said he has no plan, in reality he’s said many times on video in conversation with KOC during the draft “It fits our plan.”
Saying you have a plan is not the same as you know, actually having one. The plan is not on display, nor does anything specific ever come out of KAM’s mouth on what exactly they’re working toward.
If you have ever had media training you will recognize this technique. Commitment avoidance is one technique taught so you can never be pinned down on anything or actually fail.
My wife has her masters in PR from the best program in the world and is an expert in media relations. That is her arena of expertise not mine but what little I’ve discussed with her and have been exposed to what you’re saying is circular logic.
You’re saying him saying he has a plan is really him not having a plan because, in your opinion mind you, he has not put a plan on display and he’s only trying to play avoidance on being held accountable.
So he took this job to avoid being held responsible for the job? That’s really a stretch, I mean this guy doesn’t have to hide from anything, he’s been successful in multiple positions in multiple industries.
I’m certainly not going to believe he’s a fraud after only one season on the job because that’s what you’re saying he is already.
Sounds like to me you just don’t like him personally and that’s ok that’s your prerogative. He might fail, it’s a tough job most GM’s do some multiples times.
To be clear… The legitimate contenders in the league have a franchise quarterback surrounded by explosive playmakers with an exceptional offensive line leading the way. Defensively, the top teams can get after the passer with multiple players and they have a number of playmakers capable of taking over games. Whether it is coming up with timely turnovers or creating negative plays at the point of attack, the defense must have enough five-star talents to disrupt the flow of the opponent’s offense.
KAM has never addressed the media from this perspective. Why? Because he either doesn’t even know this simple equation OR worse, he doesn’t know how to get there.
I enjoy nobody being able to put a finger on what Kwesi will do next.
Pundits are stumped. Rick was as easy to read as Dr. Seuss.
Kwesi… whole diffeent world there. Nobody has him nailed down… from elite RAS… to 10 yard splits… to being from Africa…. Ever changing and I like it.
thibk about Ol Bill in NE. He didn’t always have the best players but they all bought into the mindset. Smart plan for him if that’s the case.
Amen brother we are both in agreement and well stated.
I have some really big executive type decisions to make…stuff like decide if and who I should allow my company to be acquired by…whats best for staff? whats best for our customers…there are no obvious right answers so I poured a glass of pondering juice (whiskey) to see if a clear cut direction would appear….not yet, so I guess time for another glass.
Thanks Bow…profit really isn’t the ultimate decision point..it really comes down to whats best for staff and customers…or is it best if we just remain a small independent company and not merge with bigger companies…its getting pretty difficult to make things work with a staff our size.
Find an investor give them a piece and scale up.
Can you increase enough revenue to hire more staff, so you don’t have to sell?
Trying too, but it is a slow go…
always back to your company’s mission
GASkol at Atlanta airport today…
That is one hilarious video and that’s a great follow on tweeeter
no fat shaming…
@its perfectly fine to fat shame anybody who might be a republican@
I forgot that rule.
Exactly 100 days till the first regular season game of 2023. Chiefs vs the Lions in KC. Thursday 7 September.
i expect KC to win but it will be a good game. Lions fans will be insufferable if they somehow pull out the win.
True… and honestly, they would have a right to crow a little.
Only if they play well and from the lead the entire game, not just the second half.
K
Lol Addison already hurt
McBride too…
Addison. ACL, MCL both knees. Achilles tear in right leg, cuz , Vikings.
He’s fine
OMG these new updates are concerning:
GF says we will be moving to CORAOL soon
Lifer has a superhero name
Kfey needs anger management
ben dum
And stu is still a stupid lib
We’ll find out in 2 weeks
Nah.
I think JJ is fine for not being at mandatory mini camp.
Why risk an injury?
Better than getting injured outside of the team facility and being SOL.
What’s the worst that can happen? Like he’s gonna kick in a window because his buddy forgot his keys and miss a season due to a tendon getting sliced. Like that’s gonna happen…
that would never happen on this team, not how we operate.
OT at 3:00 today, won’t pay to come back to work after that, so I get to go home early. Might have to consider fishing.
…
Once we change platforms, this will be a very distinct possibility.
what is platform?
same website domain but different system that runs it. The one now is pretty outdated.
similar to corrrrrral and how DN changed platforms but website the same
omg you are going to bring us Coral??????
Just for you pal….
Got a hell of a deal!
I heard they even offered to run the moderating services for him.
@Well after kfey’s savagery I think we can all agree it is sorely needed@
we must dismantle the patriarchy and capitalism
LOL
Non-alcoholic bourbon. I may have to give this a try.
https://www.totalwine.com/beer/nonalcoholic/na-spirits/bourbon/spiritless-kentucky-74-nonalcoholic-bourbon
Athletic Brewing Company makes some good NA beers too.
Stella NA is pretty good.
Lagunitas Hop Water is great! But then again you guys here don’t seem to like one of the foundational flavors of beer… hops.
https://www.vikings.com/news/titans-cardinals-2023-joint-practices-training-camp
I think this is good for teams.
Yeah, I would lean that way too.
At least you aren’t “beating up” on each other.
OTOH, the other teams aren’t going to care as much if they “ding” us vs one of their own playmakers
True.
The Commanders announced a handful of roster moves on Tuesday, including one that removed cornerback Cameron Dantzler from their 90-man roster. Dantzler was claimed off of waivers from the Vikings in March and he’s headed back to the waiver wire after Tuesday’s move, so his time with the team comes to an end after a little more than two months.
That stinks, hope the kid finds a landing spot, he showed promise.
Agree… I liked the kid and did not understand the Vikings letting him go.
Must be something there if the team formerly known as the Redskins are releasing him too.
Uh oh…….
Definitely could be…
I got the vibe from Dantzler that his favorite part of the NFL is club cred. He’s just in the league for a couple years of paychecks.
Remember when he ripped the team on twitter?
While truly an immature act, he was sick of seeing Breeland cock it up on the field and not being played. I think we all could agree that Dantzler played better than Breeland.
Mostly true.
I think he was sucking at the time he wasn’t playing though.
Or he just pissed off Stubborn.
Speaking of craft beer, anyone in the northern WI area should make the trip to Spooner and check out Round Man Brewing. There were several decent beers on the menu.
They have a very diverse menu as well, but it’s a bit pricey. My brother-in-law and I split a $32 burger that one of us could have made a full meal out of. Our wives split a tasty nacho platter that was much more reasonably priced.
Holy s***stains. That’s a day’s wages.
That’s a hi, how are you for Dr. Gouger.
Hey, I ain’t cheap, but I can be had.
Have to give you grief MT, it’s our job.
Got our generator installed last week, had four nights of frenetic thunderstorms but the power never went out. Damnit!
Always feel bad for the dogs. They just don’t like ’em.
When is renting over?
Are you asking when the addition will be move in ready? Some time this fall, hopefully early fall, I imagine.
Always listen to what your doggos say
Did you cover up the other wrap?
No, this is on the shouse. The shop door has the flag/we the people/eagle graphic.
I figured. Almost worried all those libs in Glendive got to you.
You should put up a Biden one for a bit just to mess with the neighbors.
There are so many “Let’s Go Brandon” signs and flags in Glendive I might get run out of town if I posted a pro Brandon one.
@why would they do that? It’s just nascar@
To be fair, it was a bacon double cheeseburger topped with an egg and some concoction of relish/salsa.
We just (wrongly) figured that a $32 burger would be a lot bigger than that.
When I was stationed in Texas, a bunch of us tried a Tex-Mex (can I still say that?) joint that advertised a double cheese burger – I ordered it and the waitress says “Are you sure, honey? You don’t look that hungry.” She brought out 2 plates, each with a bun and burger the size of a hubcap.
We (my parents) used to have a cabin/house near Spooner.
My Brother currently has a place on Hemlock lake.
I have not been to Round Man Brewing, but I will ask my brother about it next time I’m visiting up that way.
We’ve had a camper up in Solon Springs for 22 years now. Good fishing all over that area.
nice!
I’m debating on if I should say anything or not.
Now I ran out of time.
Back to the salt mine I go.
Are you on a debate clock like baseball?
They can’t even give the stuff away. Doesn’t look like waiting it out is working for Anheuser Busch.
Bud Light 24-pack sells for $3.49 in at least one store as sales tank: report
Man, I hope Coors and Miller do something to piss off the same folks… Before you know it the vast majority of people will have to start drinking actual beer! Not beer flavored fermented rice soda.
They will. Just a matter of time. I don’t see how AB thinks that keeping quiet and doing nothing is going to solve this. I don’t see it just blowing over and as people switch brands, they aren’t going back. I usually drink local micro brews but take something like Bud Light or Miller Lite when we go on long trips.
I’m with you, I love stouts and porters for a sit down drink but if I’m busting my ass in the heat the mass market pilsners work just fine.
I am a craft brew guy, I don’t like drinking the same thing back to back. But I am also not too good to drink basically anything. The only beers I have ever handed back to someone is Miller High Life (but don’t mind MGD and prefer Miller Lite over BL), and Samuel Adam’s Cherry Wheat. Yuck!
I find it so odd that both Sam’s and New Belgium have both abandoned their flagship beers.
IPAs suck
Well you are entitled to your wrong opinion.
Amen
I can’t stand drinking those fruity IPA’s.
I think they are for trannies who don’t know what they want to drink.
You are correct sir and you have to have a man bun and wear skinny jeans to drink them.
Nah….beer builds a better body!!
Way too many IPAs these days. Need more porters and stouts.
That’s my fave to drink at the Beer Jug.
I loved me a lager.
or bourbon
eh, preferably both
All beer generally makes me sick, but I recently tried Old Milwaukee again. My dad always drank that. I was able to get a can down without getting ill.
So I got that going for me…or, more likely, against me…
Morning Skolholes. Anything new here on the golf channel today?
Did you beat your 66 from the weekend?
Doubt i fooled anybody.
I used a pick mattock for the first time last week. Two thoughts…how did I get to this point in life without using one…and how my forefathers would have laughed at my discomfort at the end of the day after swinging and digging with that beast for twelve hours, nursing my sore back, blisters, and sunburn.
My redneck staircase looks pretty good though.
I had to look up pick mattock. I’ve never heard that term in my life, and I’ve put miles & miles on a pick axe. Pick mattock.
Pick on one side, mattock on the other, duh.
I’ve always called that a pick axe.
I’ve never heard pick mattock before, and I only live a couple hunnert miles from Canadia.
I just know it from the Forest Service. A pick axe has the flat side vertical like an axe. I think most of the time the handle is solidly connected to the head to, but I could be wrong on that. The other one we used a lot cleaning trails and fighting fires is a pulaski. Axe on one side, mattock on the other, solid handle.
I had asked after one once upon a time at the big orange home improvement store and was informed there was a difference. The axe has a chisel on the other side instead of a mattock.
Regardless, that thing chewed through dirt like a groundhog. I borrowed one that my grandson had found in the barn and fixed up, I bet it’s a hundred years old. Good thing about old tools, they still work just like they did 100 years ago.
In west by god Virginia everyone knows and has a mattock. I’ve used one since I was a kid. Of course we’re miners so we know about digging.
Sounds like flat outright cut is not an option
Hmmm…….
They’ve carried his cap this far and don’t need the money now. Why not just keep him and dump him next year when Nick Mullens is QB1?
Yeah.
It’s been my take on the Cook situation.
He’s not worth $14 million, but he is not worthless either.
We will see soon I guess.
That and they just hold onto him until an RB1 goes down in camp or something.
At this point, we don’t need the money so cutting him outright is stupid unless they need it for some contract extension for Kirk/JJ/Hock
I said this a couple weeks ago and you said there was no way they are going to keep him, he is cut June 1.
HOw much is he worth with big dead cap on his deal to go with his salary?
I’d say if he re-signs at $5 million ish Kwesi takes it.
i.e…. $9 million cap savings….
If they post june 1 cut him, he costs about the same.
So that appears to be the breakeven point to me anyway.
Too many RBs – SOMEONE’s (or 2) gotta go.
Naw Kene will be cut.
Cook, Matty, Ham, Ty, and McBride.
I could see them sending McBride to PS and protecting him until they need to figure something else out
Alec Lewis doesn’t know what will happen anymore than we do.
He’s a beatwriter for Athletic. Probably has some ins, but the weakest of the beatwriters since he’s the newest
How would he have any “ins”? He’s an internet journalist, right?
They have connections bud. That’s how they get to be where they are.
They know players, coaches, front office people etc.
Lewis is low tier beat writer. Ben Goeslling, Dougie have big ins to people for leaks
Right…
you’re right that’s why we shouldn’t read his opinion on the matter
Time will tell if his way, and unwillingness to commit to either way will prove beneficial or detrimental.
Year 1 was pretty ok from a record standpoint…same ol’ same ol’ from a championship one.
And you know my feelings on that record and how much of an anomaly it was for multiple reasons. That being said, winning is more fun than losing. I still have higher standards when it comes to post season positioning and playing.
Apparently, wins don’t even matter. It’s the stats that are more important.
lolololo
I’m leaning toward the Vikings continuing to tread water. Everyone seems to be happy with their paychecks. There is no need to strive for excellence when when good enough keeps the gravy train rolling.
I think they’d blow it up if they were truly wanted to strive for something.
I agree 1000%. But we are in the minority in that department
Very simple.
Nobody wanted to reply to my post about it…..
TL;DR – Kwesi is non-binary
Lol
He lives in the gray area between ones and zeroes.
Yes, aka nonbinary genderqueer.
He’s absolutely correct.
What he means is “I’m just feeling my way through this and have no idea what end product I’m pursuing”.
Sounds like Harris, talks but conveys nothing.
I beg to differ.
Harris conveys stupidity.
BIG STU UPDATE: I have found the controversial topic.
Two common and what I deem good posters had a position, KFEY was angry that day and had an alternative position and arguments ensued. The two unnamed positions had fair points for Cousins. Kfey had fair points. RABBLE RABBLE ON AND ON.
tl;dr I don’t believe Kfey actually believes anyone truly sucks Cousin’s D as it alone would be a monumental task to even get to that position on the starting QB, however it may have been in bad taste. Long story short probably didn’t need to be said, certainly not the worst. I see one of the party-of-three is here today, Kfey is asking for our sympathies, hopefully the other ventures back.
We can once again come together.
Some of us are hardened and calloused from our time at DN during Ponder draft, AP Saga, KLUWE (wadda loser btw) and lived through Andy, Arif Click-Bait and the other high-horse sitters. We will take over from here and really make you feel bad about yourselves
Accurate.
Wait, who was Andy, I forget? Also
Accurate, I couldnt drunkenly echo what I have already stated ad nauseum. I let my oogga booga brain do the typing. Up vote
I’ll post this as I am one of the three and this summation is slightly off. Overall, I wouldn’t take some vulgar mouth saying something to me in person, over the phone, in writing, and not on the internet either.
Now, to me this was not a Cousins discussion. Mick posted a tweet about the Colt comeback. I, as well as several others, said it was neat to watch. Someone then took a cheap shot at Cousins and I responded pointing out his performance in the second half of that game. And for THAT, I got the dick sucking crap from someone who didn’t care that much for the game – the usual SB or nothing stuff. My only point was to point out Cousins stats in the second half (TD’s and yards). Good grief, that deserved that response. I, and am no doubt biased, do not see an equivelance of actions here.
One last broader point, I know a few Buffalo fans and they note with fondness their big comeback over the Oilers – the game where Buddy Ryan punched the Oilers OC. But I have never, ever, heard them say something like – well if we hadn’t played like shit in the first half, we wouldn’t have been in that position. My God, that’s somethng I would expect on a Packer site, not a Vikings one. Talk about stealing victory from the jaws of defeat and then giving it back.
Overall, there’ some very fine folks here and I enjoy discussions with them. So, maybe I’ll drop in on weekends and discuss with them. Obviously, I am little old fashioned when it comes to behavior and can’t accept vulgar, and for that matter, condenscendiing behavior.
Hoping for a great season!
Well stated.
Child’s play compared to those Kluwe days & the many others you mentioned. I sat back & laughed most of those days back then. Pete’s list is still one of the highlights of the DN years.
if he would ever wake up. Or did he get banned? Where is petah
He hates the Vikings and isn’t around anymore, not banned.
Please clarify:
hotdog shit = the shit you put on a hot dog like mustard, relish, onions, sport pepper, etc
Hot dogshit = high temperature dog poop
Hot dog shit = ????
= when something exciting happens (hot dog!) and then immediately goes south (shit)
Hot Dog Shit
This is what the gif machine says… I’m going with it.
Looks a lot like what KFey was talking about on Friday.
lol
someone’s gotta make a “your mom” joke don’t they? I won’t do it I am too kind
I saw yo momma kickin a can down the street and I asked her what she was doing and she said ‘moving’….
Your turn.
Lmao
I thought it meant to poop a very warm dog out?
haha! Fuck, never thought about this… can’t unthink about it lol.
My niece is going to Taylor Swift in June. I will have to have her be on the look out for Rodgers. Maybe he is a groupie that follows Taylor to every concert.
Maybe he’s banging her now that the blue of balls lady dumped him
Or was he on a date with Rooster?
There’s always been rumors he’s into cocks
Please go to the Chiefs
BILLS MAFIA BABY! FUCK KC!
Teaming him with Diggs could be fun to watch. Not as good as Addison and JJ, but a close 2nd.
I am withholding excitement on Addison until I see him in NFL games. But the potential is there. If he is anywhere close to 2017-2018 Thielen then we hit the jackpot.
Wise.
Could be Treadwell 2.0
What if he’s JJ 2.0? Gonna have to cut Cousins just to pay 2 WRs 30-35 million.
Yeah, it’d be “murder one, marry one, fuck one” between the three.
Nah.
Addison will be on a rookie deal for 5 years.
@plus, JJ going to hold out if Cousins isn’t on the team@
That last sentence sarcasm, I assume?
Yes. It’s a Skolly hawt taek.
That it is
I didn’t say he would hold out if cousins isn’t on the team.
I said he’ll hold out this year if he wants a deal or he’ll show up and not commit to anything long term until he knows who the QB is.
I lean more towards him not showing up. Look at all year 3 WRs and they aren’t even close to his level.
We’ll find out in 3 weeks or so if they’re is drama there.
JJ been to all OTAs except this year? Is that bc he knows the system now or does he want a deal? The mandatory camp soon we’ll tell us alot
I would be surprised if there’s drama. I mean KAM and KOC are kumbaya crew right?
Year 3 WRs is typically when they start to voice their opinion about a new deal.
Look at McClaurin holding out for Wash
Look at Metcalf when he first got his deal
A.J. Brown same thing.
I was being facetious
JJ would be foolish to holdout.
He hasn’t gotten paid yet and won’t until he gets a deal signed.
I can totally understand JJ missing OTA’s.
His future earnings are on the line.
He could miss mandatory mini camp as well.
I still won’t read anything into JJ’s plan until training camp starts.
If he’s a no go for mandatory, that’s the start of the drama
Eh.
He will get fined about $100k total from missing mandatory minicamp.
That’s about 5% of this years salary.
Pennies on future earnings.
I’d prefer he skip it to avoid injury
Well well well… Looks like my PHD is quantitative Methods is going to pay off.
Will my knowledge with differential equations help at all?
LOL that reminds me of this
HAHAHHAHAHAHA
Quantitative Methods must not be analytics.
@So that’s what led to the trading within the division during the 2022 draft.@
One of Rick’s last remaining guys
My wife has a bike with e-assist. She usually leaves it on the lowest level but even at that level she can kick my (nonassisted) ass. We brought the bikes into town every day over the weekend. Yesterday we started at the hospital parking lot and eventually made our way to the base of the switchbacks in the state park next door (about 20 miles in total to that point). Even getting to the base of the switchbacks climbing a 0.05% grade against a stiff 2 mph headwind I was falling way behind and she was having fun with it. Got to the area where mud had flowed over the road (closing the switchbacks) and her battery assist quit. Much gnashing of teeth later we figured out how to disengage the assist so her bike became a normal (albeit heavy with all the gimcrackery) one and I was enjoying zooming ahead of her. Actually I felt bad, couldn’t figure out how the battery died suddenly, was going to leave her at the visitor center and ride alone back to the pickup. I looked back at one point and saw an electrical connection had come undone. The ride was saved!
Just goes to show, the more knobs and widgets the more there is to go wrong.
Sorry for Mrs MT, that’s brutal, tho this is a lesson that we must go back to our times pre-colonization if we would like to live simply, freely and peacefully.
The more stuff, the more stuff goes wrong. Thanks Europe
LOL. True.
My wife had never owned a car with the backup camera prior to May 2021.
We bought a car with a back up camera in May 2021.
The touch screen is now starting to crap out.
“Please get if fixed!!!! How am I supposed to back up without a camera”
I want to start off by saying I do not wish anyone here ill will in their day to day lives outside of this obscure message board, nor do I demand they leave, or stop posting. That being said, my late night drunk posting this past Friday apparently was too much for someone and they left. That disappoints me, and is not a thing I want to happen or become the norm.
That being said, I do not apologize for what I said, I will apologize for the way I said it. Being drunk is not an excuse, we’re all adults, however there were other external factors on top of the alcohol that got me to the point that night where I didn’t give a shit. I know others here would rather have that poster here than me, simply based on aligning opinions on our favorite team, and that’s fine. I also believe that if you cant handle a quick outburst of what I said on a sports form, than the non-censored internet probably isn’t for you but that’s an argument for another time. The same shit day in and day out here is exhausting during the off season, so I will do everyone the favor of taking a hiatus from here after today. Once more relevant things start taking place I will return unless Brad feels its appropriate to ban me for driving away a “favorite poster” I am a clown after all, than that’s his call.
Had a nice fire in the back yard last night, its beautiful today, going to meet up with a lady friend for lunch and a walk later.
ok.
my GAH this is a disturbing image
It just for our boy Kfey
Kfey the………….
Tim Curry was so good. He’s in very rough shape sadly
Well now I have to go back and look for this post.
I imagine I won’t be bothered, though I’ve always expressed to everyone from DN, to DG, to here that it’s the internet and don’t take it so serious. Too bad that someone (apparently) will no longer be coming back, but that’s their call.
Not my board but as the Great Stu I’d say I wouldn’t worry about a hiatus but I get it. We’ll see ya back soon.
Yessssss no biggie. shit happens. People can come and go as they pleasse.
I do hope he comes back, especially during the regular season so I can prove him wrong 🙂
Go to last Friday and scroll down lol
I have a very strong feeling he’ll/she’ll be back.
How gender neutral of you ……
Way to go KFive. I’m curious what happened now, but probably still too lazy to go back and look.
Will get the Big Stu breakdown in a few. The Big Great Stu breakdown I mean
We’ve had better, we’ve had worse. Not that big of a deal. Some people are just to sensitive to handle keyboard warriors of things they would never say to their face.
TL;DR…. who gives a crap what anyone says to anyone on here personally. All Vikings fans who have different preferences and directions they want the team to take.
I would have deff said what I said to his face if we were in a social setting, it would have been in a jest way but. You know..
&ct=g
I don’t care what anyone thinks of me on here, likewise for most on here of what I think about them. Some people do care but that’s what you get in essentially a free for all OT.
I only care when if it’s something about my wife or my kid. Then I got a problem.
Ive only ever said your kid is smarter than you lol
Probably is lol. He hasn’t announced is loyalty to the Vikings yet
He’s gonna be a Bear’s fan.
Better brain wash him early or his friends will get him. Or you might just have to move.
lol
Unlikely. And if you’re concerned he’ll be a Bears fan I have the perfect thing to say to him to deter this tragedy:
’Son, Sean Payton was a scab QB for the Chicago Bears’
Skol!
That would be so juicy, and I am all for it
When we lived in Michigan, my son became a Lions fan just to spite me. Then he switched to the Steelers when we moved.
Fivefinger…. ” i left a nickle on the dresser”
Sounds familar but don’t remember the whole story
I’m just being a smart ass. I really don’t care and don’t take things here too seriously and try to do the same in life.
Things got heated before the end of the day, I posted and left after work. Came back on drunk later that night and the Kirk Crew had poked the bear while I was gone so I poked back and I guess that was too much for one. Shit was juvenile but, it is what it is. I never asked that they leave, just that they remove a certain players junk from their oral region.
What did I miss?
update on top my friend
I see… this was about an argument about Cousins and someone on the internet talking about dick sucking?
about sums it up
Nailed it
Yup. Just google ‘Cousins dick sucking’ the internet will explain the whole thing.
LOL.
I googled it.
Don’t do it on a work computer.
LOL your work blocks pics of puker fans? LOLLOL lame.
LOL….
Isn’t everyone posting drunk at all times?
Well no, I believe some people are just high on drugs
Wait…only “some?”
I feel seen….
Does anyone post sober?
What is sober?
A great song by TOOL….
Gonna go grab kiddo & take him to lunch.
School’s out now here. Finally. Now, hopefully I can get fired soon & have some time off this summer.
I thought you were supposed to be fired a month ago or something…..
Just send an email to the right person……
Burrow “hyped” about Irv.
LOL….. The most hyped Vikings player in a decade.
He’s healthy for 0.6% of the season, Burrow must get excited easily.
I agree that Irv could be scary good if healthy, he’s just never healthy.
NEITHER WAS DREW BREES
Nice I just got you with the exception to the rule to try and discredit your completely reasonable stance.
OWNED
Watch him not get injured, play the entire season, and be a top 5 TE in the league.
Vikes luck of course
He’ll get injured early, miss most of the season, then return just in time to be SB MVP.
HAWT TAEK ALERT
2023 Vikings will have 80% of games decided by 1 score.
probably right on line with their 1 score game % my entire life tbh.
That’s why it’s HAWT
oh I see that now it is PIPING HAAWWWWWT
And then me by week 9:
Does a tie count as a one score game?
Only if they scored only once.
Flores is working on the Vikings defensive identity… he says he wants them to be aggressive without being “reckless”. This is a complete departure from the last four years of bend don’t break” soft zone coverages and letting the opposing offense run all over us.
I wonder how long it will take for this defense to take root? Will we overrun plays trying to be aggressive? Will we incur a lot of penalties? OR, will we actually put the hurt on opposing offenses?
We just have to be OK with sometimes you take a risk and get burned. I am OK with this! I feel like at times it’s like being in a fight and we are getting picked apart and it’s the last round, and you’ve lost all the other rounds… you better start swinging for the fences! Yeah, you might get KOd but if you don’t you lose anyway. Take a friggin chance!
Last year, the offense regressed and Cousins had the most interceptions of his career. Even in the last game of the season we had receivers going one way and Cousins throwing the other. The defense was awful in its new iteration as well. This year at least the offense is in its second year and one could reasonably expect improvement. The defense is starting over for its second straight year with 7 starters lost from last years roster.
Eight new free agents have joined the franchise since March, including Josh Oliver (TE, Ravens), Marcus Davenport (EDGE, Saints), Byron Murphy (CB, Cardinals), Dean Lowry (DT, Packers), Brandon Powell (WR, Rams), Troy Reeder (LB, Chargers), Joejuan Williams (CB, Patriots), and John Reid (CB, Falcons). Six men arrived from the 2023 NFL Draft, plus another 17 undrafted free agents. Change is indeed afoot.
and the most wins who gives a shit.
2nd worst defense last year. Why is this a loss? Who gives a shit.
KAM/KO have turned this roster over in 1.5 seasons. Wait on the rest of the summer to see how many of the “Rick/Zim” guys make it out of camp. Change is needed, big time. They’re bringing it.
Change is no guarantee of improvement, which was the point of my commentary. KOC was hailed last year as an offensive guru who would build the offense around Cousins skillsets. He didn’t though, and the offense was sporadic at best. To me, the Vikings won mostly because of the veterans that were on the team making incredible plays and bringing strong leadership.
I wonder if change will bring improvement this year to the defense. I certainly hope so.
The alternative to change is to trot out the same shitty fucking unit we’ve been trotting out the last 3 years, and I sure as hell wouldn’t go that route. Change is imperative in this case.
You see what you want to see.
I saw a sub .500 win the division and gave a top record in football.
the change was the reason why, not in spite of.
I do not agree with this reasoning. I DO think the team succeeded in spite of the new regime not because of it. Cousins said he had no idea where “the inches were coming from” that were allowing them to win, given the fact that the offense was not as good as the previous year.
The media was pushing the new “positive culture” by-line all year and Cousins never bit on it. He never said things were so much better with KOC in charge. Not once. He even said he improved under Zim every year he was playing for him in response to one of the questions along those lines. he did not say he got better this year under KOC.
So since not a single phase of the game was better than the previous year, I would say the new regime did not make the team better. Yes, the team won more games and I attribute that to the chemistry of the team and the grit of their leadership more than anything else.
see above. You’re only going to see what you want to see.
must’ve been because they wanted Zim back. This take is hot dog shit. Steaming. “Their stats weren’t as good but they won more games and that’s in spite of the current leadership. These same players haven’t won’t 13 games in the previous 5 seasons, because they forgot until new leadership came and they wanted to show how much they didn’t like them by winning 13 games.”
Mick, I see we’re not going to agree here, but condemning my position as “hot dog shit” doesn’t win you any points.
-quietly erases the “1” I wrote next to Mick’s name after previous comment-
I call it like i see it. You’re opinion on this is that. They didn’t win 13 games since 2017 but did and you credit the “leaders” from the losing season for it, not the new regime.
You’re basing it on feelings. Are you another lifer personality?
I’m basing it on data…
That is not data. This is your opinion. Why didn’t they win with the same leadership of the prior regime? Why did they lose so many of the 1 score games? Why did KC have more GWD/4QC this year than any year prior? And more last year than all his Viking years put together?
To sum it all up… you’re seeing what you want to and thats ok, but I’m going to call it steaming horseshit if I think it is. Do you have an answer to where the leadership was from 2018-2021? They just didnt know how to be leaders then?
I gave you the data. I guess you missed that part or maybe ignored it. My perspective, or opinion is based on data.
The big difference for the offense last year was that the team was clutch in the 2-minute portions of the games instead of the worst. That, to me, is no small thing, and I hope it continues this year (it won’t be as good, but hopefully still good).
The big difference for the defense last year was that “bend but don’t break” Zimmer had in the final two minutes was extended throughout the entire game with Donatell. Hopefully Flores brings the aggressiveness and unpredictability to change that simply with scheme.
The good defensive schemes are the ones where star players are made instead of needed to make it run well. I have far more confidence in that happening with Flores’ reputation than I did for Donatell’s history.
And I know Kirk was clutch two years ago in two-minute situations, too. But while the offense seemed to struggle last year overall at portions, they seemed to get the points and drives needed to win late in the game.
I agree with this summation. It appeared to me that the first drive of the game we come out, move the ball effectively and score, then we would try to play some prevent offense (long, time consuming drives) instead of attacking the opposing defense relentlessly. Then we’d get down a couple scores and all of a sudden the offense would spring back to life and we’d start scoring again. I hope this year we get rid of the ball control, prevent offense and just go for the throat every drive.
I’m excited for Flores
can’t be.
the only proper response is doom and misery.
Oh yeah I forgot
He sucks, cut him
Would assert dominance pretty quick if KOC cut Flores before season even started
Guess we’ll see if KOC is a real alpha male or a soy boy cuck loser
5 already told us.
5’s a soy boy
Me too.
Can only go up
Helps that most of the players from the last 4 years are gone.
Zim took a 32nd ranked defense to 14th in one year. It can be done and has been done before. There’s really nowhere to go but up. Complete overhaul of the defense this year, I’m glad to see it.
I can live with a degree of getting burned. No risk it, no biscuit!
Anything is better than watching another 11 minute drive by the opposing team. I don’t ever want to see that shit again.
Yes
I’m looking forward to Flores scheme. It’s aggressive and blitz-friendly. There’ll be meltdowns, blown assignments and probably more than a few big-play scores given up early. I’ll take it. I’d rather get burned being aggressive than just bend, bend, bend, bust.
Well we open up against the inspiring group of Baker Mayfield, Kyle Trask and John Wolford who are jockeying for the position of Buccaneers signal caller to begin the 2023 NFL season. One would hope none of them looks like Tom Brady against us.
Could be a very fun season.
If the offense does not regress and we get any improvement on Defense, 10 wins seems reasonable.
One would think 10 wins should be feasible. Too many questions in my mind to go beyond that though. Time will tell.
Lol how is this even news? NS sherlock
Right?
Hmm but “SHOULD” he??
Per some pundit… who is just throwing stuff out there. We all know JJ said money doesn’t mean that much to him…
He sucks, give Kirk all the money since JJ is low grade dog food w/o Kirk.
We’ll…. Kirks been good before JJ. JJ… we don’t know yet
@never happen. JJ going to sit out unless Kirk stays@
He’ll just play for freeeee
Watch and learn when JJ doesn’t show up to mandatory camp in a couple weeks
JJ would be foolish to tie his future to Cousins.
Maybe he refuses to sign an extension as long as Cousins is on the team.
LOL….
I mean, he has said he wants to win Super Bowls.
JJ can’t get paid if he doesn’t show up.
Wow very sad to see on this Tuesday morning that Edge and Bow BOTH “enjoyed” time on what is 10000% stolen land I can’t even omg what w*ite privilege
Hi everyone!
Well technically the whole country is pretty much stolen land. So is every country ever. Natives stole land from other natives… But the paha sapas were different. Kicking their ass to that area, then kicking them out once gold was found there, then sticking a monument glorifying westward expansion/manifest destiny in their sacred lands was a big middle finger. The original plans was for that monument was to include figures relevant to the Dakotas, such as Shoshone explorer Sacagawea and Lakota leaders Red Cloud and Crazy Horse. But when you hire a sculpture who attends KKK meetings then you get a guy who wants to glorify manifest destiny… shocking.
My opinion? No expansions ever. Then America would be just a peaceful valley once again with only tribal folks roaming and greeting eachother along shared dirt paths. Think of all the Karen L*bs that would have never been born! Beautiful.
lol, I am of the thinking that America had a war with the tribes and America won. Just like when tribes fought other tribes. I get that. But to say god gave them the right to do that is a horrible understanding of god in general. But when you treaties and contracts and break them that is a whole different story.
Art of war.
What happened is the same thing that’s happened for thousands of years. I’m not sure how long the statute of limitations is on land conquer but I’m pretty annoyed the English got the place back from my man William after he bravely secured it in 1066. I think we of norweigen decent may be owed something from them? Probably take it up with them and I doubt there’s any here to yell at.
Was it bad? Yeah. Was it uncommon? Not at all. Should we continue to dwell on it 400 years later? Debatable. Alas, there’s an article in the local papers about it once a week so that we “let’s not forget”
If we are told to pack up and leave I’m OK with that. Do we all go back to Rome? Greece? I’m not sure exactly how far back we trace and where we need to get to, any ancestor I may have had who took part in the creation of “Thee United States” hasn’t been around in awhile, if they existed at all, that is.
I hate when this happens. You do understand I am agreeing with you on this aspect right? War for territory, is as old as time itself. It seems you are arguing with me about losing land to war, that’s history, it happens.
What I am saying, is what happened in the paha sapa (black hills) is different. That wasn’t just losing a war and it went far beyond with the hiring of Borglum, a Klan meeting attending sculpture.
there’s nothing happening. Just bullshitting about the topic. As if we would sitting at a bar table my man. I’m not calling you out or your position. There’s clearly nuance.
They are making a massive Crazy Horse sculpture down in the southern hills, my fam has a running joke about what happens first, Crazy Horse is finished, or the Vikings win the SB, of course
I visited that Crazy Horse monument when I was 12 years old. I am now 62, it has not changed much…
it’s been on pause for like a century
They’ve been working on it, very very slowly, they literally have no idea of when it would expect to be finished, but I don’t think they ever will.
The issue with Crazy Horse, is it is funded solely by donation. So they work on it when they have the funding. Mt. Rushmore was commissioned by the US government, and technically has never been completed either. It just looks complete.
AAAAAAND they hired a guy who attended KKK meetings to design it and head up the project.
Yeah, that is correct, though gov’t has offered to fund CH a couple times the sculptor had always declined. He’s dead now though.
They’ve been working on that for a LONG time.
Good, the idiots or the ignorant and still running strong down voting facts… nice.
Hey GF sorry to hear about your little accident, hopefully you are back wearing out your running shoes in no time. You did violate my rule #8 for living a happy life….don’t do dangerous things like cutting down trees, cleaning your own roof gutters, or fixing your own shingles.
My second story of my house is very high… I don’t care it’s worth paying someone 40-50 bucks to do that work for me.
Exactly.
All is well. I’ll be out jogging again today, it feels better this morning. It was really weird, got hit in the back of the leg, and the top of my foot swelled up. I assumed I had a stress fracture on one of those bones on top of the foot. X-ray said no, and today it feels a bit better, so I must’ve avoided breaking anything. I still don’t understand why the top of my foot swelled and was in pain when I didn’t get hit there. I dunno, I was no geography major.
I do 2 of those 3 things. I get up on our roof a lot, gotta clean gutters, and then I have to get up there to put up Christmas lights.
I hire roofers to fix shingles, because roofing sucks.
Skol and good morning nerds
Commentary from the O-linemen in interviews during the recent OTA’s were pretty predictable. Feeling good, looking forward to the season, and much more comfortable in the second year of the offense. The Vikings (for now) appear to be returning the same five starters on the O-line from last year. I wonder when was the last time they did that?
They have got to improve. I am surprised that KAM has not addressed this weakness.
Cleveland, Bradbury, and Ingram trying to pass block
Lol, what sucks is Bradbury is very good mentally. Dude just can’t hold up and anchor against the big nose tackles.
Well, I found it. The last time the Vikings returned the same line for a second year was 2013.
LT – Matt Kalil
LG – Charlie Johnson
C – John Sullivan
RG – Brandon Fusco
RT – Phil Loadholt
That was the last time we had a strong O line, I believe they were ranked around 8th in the league that year.
Well I for one hope this will be the case with our current line…
Would be nice. I think they’ll continue to improve. They took a step forward last year, I think they’ll get better again. Hopefully O’Neill can come back at 100%.
Then the next year fat phil blew his achilles, fusco tore a pec, and Kalil continued to get worse, its been mostly crap for 10 years.
Back of my mind says Charlie Johnson was a dumpster fire/turnstile hybrid.
2013 he ranked 103 out of 144 Guards.
Charlie Johnson was a good guard, but a terrible tackle.
Fusco from slippery rock ended up like this with his teammates running to cover for him…..
Drove to the hills, did some wedding planning items, smoked some ribs with my Uncle in Sturgis and did some hiking. ‘Twas a good weekend!
I love to smoke ribs. Tough getting them in the bong though.
Ha!
Roughlock Falls
That’s beautiful.
Definitely worth the hike! Very easy hike.
Nice!
Awesome!
Beautiful looking place and country down there.
We used to go there or devils bathtub trail most every weekend as a kid in the summer, once in a while Harney peak. I heard some years ago devils got filled in by rocks though.
Devil’s isn’t filled in but from the reports I read last weekend the waters are so high it’s tough to get to right now.
Nice. We did a little camping. No fancy food, just hot dogs on the campfire and such. Got a little four wheeling in, found one morel and my oldest boy learned he needs to go around trees and not through them with the four wheeler. I got to learn how heavy a four wheeler is trying to lift it back to all four wheels.
Yeah but hot dogs on a campfire are awesome! That’s a gorgeous view. Where was this?
Big Snowies. It’s about 90 miles north of here. No fishing, but the scenery is pretty hard to beat and there is usually way less people than most places since there isn’t a lot of access or camp spots.
That’s amazing. I can’t imagine the serenity that comes along with the scenery.
It was pretty nice and much needed. Didn’t do as much as I planned, mostly a lot of sitting around the fire, shooting bb guns with the kids and just mentally resetting. Ready to take on the world again.
Beautiful view!
nice!
Looking good!
I had smoked ribs for three meals this past weekend. After seeing that photo, I could go for another one!
I have a lot of BBQ in my future. This weekend is the SD BBQ Championships and I am a certified KCBS BBQ Judge. So I will be doing that this weekend. Next weekend is Ribfest in ND. Then a few weeks after that for our rehearsal dinner got a really good BBQ place called Maple Street BBQ in Rapid City to do the catering.
you bringing a place to ribfest???
I have never done a bbq competition. Just going to eat! Lol. Aussome Aussies are going to be there and I LOVE their BBQ.
Ribfest is dope as hell, though get there early to avoid the massive lines! It’s popular. Assume you’ve been there before, though, so you likely know.
Great time in Fargo!
Sioux Falls had one for years. I’d always go for my birthday weekend (birthday is tomorrow). But we are going for the lunch time on Thursday next week to beat the rush and then enjoying downtown time. Don’t really care for the bands playing so go early. When you go early on Wednesday and Thursday for Lunch time, it’s free parking, free entrance and Shiner Bock is paying for the sides if you buy meat.
perfect plug for bday
I’ve been to that a few times. I enjoyed the year Sawyer Brown played, but the warrant/firehouse/trixter year sucked. Porky n Beans was usually the best BBQ there.
Phil Vasser about 8 years ago was a fuckin banger!
Yeah I missed that one, Also Happy Harry’s is the best liquor store ever, I will not be taking any questions on this take.
Used to be a fun ribfest in Murderapolis. I worked downtown at the time. Really good lunches for a few days. Roscoes from Rochester and Pickled parrot (original) were two of my favorites back then
Oh man, impressive!
Is that in Fargo? I might have to make my way over there for that.
It sure is! I’ll be there Thursday and Friday, heading back Saturday.
Aussome Aussies are the best imo. BUT I have not had all the ones there so probably get a rack from the Aussies and one from somewhere I haven’t had.
Great song up top! Any of you ever hear Apocalyptica? Metal string quartet with a drummer. They do covers and originals. This cover is SO GOOD!
I’ve heard of them, that’s awesome!
I love Master of Puppets, eerily accurate song about addiction.
I got to see Apocalyptica in Minneapolis at Fine Line many years ago. It was awesome. Songs about addiction 11th Hour by Lamb of God really strikes a nerve. It’s interesting because in both cases the lyrics were written by men who had addictions when writing the song but it wasn’t till years later they quit.
Always liked Brad. Good guy. Would have liked to have met him.
Me too. I was thrilled he won a ring with TB.
He also has the same number of SB rings Aaron Rodgers does. Trent Dilfer too.
And folks say Cousins can’t lead a team to the Super Bowl…
Since Brad has a ring Brad > Cousins
Hate to say it, but while Brad has a ring, his defense scored 21 points in that Super Bowl.
Yeah, just stirring the pot. I always like Brad though. I mean the guy scored a TD on a broken leg.
Was just about to. 3 pick 6’s. 2 by future Vike Dwight Smith and 1 by Derrick Brooks – who I think deserves mention in the greatest LB’s category. Dude was a monster.
Derrick Brooks was a fucking beast.
Brad did make a much smaller % of the Salary cap with his championship team. Kirk is currently on a much more team friendly deal vs his first 4 years. but Tampa also won with a stellar defense. Not seeing that this season for the Vikings.
Joe Flacco…. Favre….more than Marino
Yup. I’d still take Dan Marino over most QB’s though. It’s a short list ahead of him.
he kissed a dude
Lmao. This is…. true.
Back when tranny bashing was allowed to be mainstream
You still can. He’s alive.
Did some of this yesterday.
anyone using the battery saws yet?
I just bought a Milwaukee electric weed trimmer. Love it so far. Good battery life, surprising power.
I’m eyeballing them too.
Was helping my parents drop a widowmaker yesterday and used his battery saw.
pretty impressed with it.
My old man has one. It’s a smaller one he uses for volunteer trees. The trusty True Temper shears won’t do anymore, arthritis and bad knees won’t let him get that low. Couldn’t squeeze them if he wanted to. So the saw has been a nice equalizer. I’ve yet to use it, but he likes it.
Those little 8” gun saws are pretty sweet too.
I have the DeWalt 20V weed trimmer, and now the chainsaw. I love them both. I may go buy the 60V chainsaw, too. Looked at one of them & almost got a stiffy.
Electric power tools are for stupid libs. Plus they don’t work
^^^^ stupid lib
This lib is straight up combustion engines so don’t judge MF’ers.
If Lifer was a superhero
Bought an electric push mower…so far I love it.
I have toob ig of a yard for this move.
What kind of drill you use that isn’t electric? you use a gas powered skill saw too?
I’ll stick with my trusty Stihl.
Another fine choice.
I have a Stihl as well.
dont knock it till you try it.
I have a Stihl blower that I want to hit with a nuke. I fucking hate that piece of shit. I hung it up a few years ago and haven’t started it since. Bought a DeWalt cordless & my life has been much happier.
Nothing like power button on and it… Works!
fn 2 stroke junk
Agreed. That Stihl blower will work for about two uses, then the plug will get fouled up and won’t start. I do NOT use ethanol ever, not in my small engines or in my vehicles, so that isn’t the cause.
It’s usually the spark arrestor (small screen) in the exhaust. It gets plugged up and won’t allow exhaust fumes out. I usually remove it and try not to use during dry weather. Otherwise you can just hit it with a wire brush.
I’m not anti gas or anti battery… I’m was just impressed with the saw.
I’ll take a look. I like it when it works because it has the suck & mulch feature where you can vacuum up leaves & mulch them.
I can empathize.
On Sunday I spent an hour trying to attach the mid mount/belly mount mower deck to my Deere SCUT. I never could get it attached. I wanted to drop that deck off a high cliff.
Oh, those can be a pain. Once you figure it out, you’ll feel dumb, then be able to do it quickly in the future. My Cub Cadet was like that, first time dropping the deck took hours. Now I can do it in minutes.
There is a front and back engagement. The front engages and the PTO locks in but the back hangers will not lock. There aren’t a lot of adjustments but I skinned my knuckles thirty times wrenching on things under there in the hot sun and seriously would have driven a steam roller over the beast.
I have a Kombitool with a bunch of attachments. Used to use them all the time but less need for weed trimming hedge trimming etc in the country.
I have a Makarita cordless which is great for smaller branches/logs.
I have a nice Husq gas powered that I used to cut an old utility pole I pulled into manageable sizes and made steps out of them. I noticed the clutch cover was cracked when I was tightening the bar, went online to find a new clutch cover and was saddened to see my old 36 is obsolete and they no longer make clutch covers for it. Sigh. Well, what’s the worst that can happen, the chain fly off and remove my arm?
He fell off the face of the earth from his peak real fast.
He did – but there was a season and a half stretch where he was the best cover corner in the league.
Was a short glory to be sure, but it was fun to watch. He shutdown Julio a few times in that stretch.
Absolutely. He was the best in the league. And then…
he sucked.
Yup. Couldn’t cover ‘Happy Birthday’ with a backup band…
haha, you are on point today good sir!
Big, strong, fast, physical, aggressive lock down corner. Man, he was good. It was crazy how fast he fell off. I really think when it’s something that fast of a fall from grace it’s more mental than physical.
YeH he disappeared.
Rhodes closed to 8 lane superhighway.
Didn’t that collapse happen right after he signed a big contract?
Probably.
Man, I remember that game vividly.
