Who needs to be replaced the most on the interior oline, Bradbury, Ingram, or Risner? If you care for PFF grades (they are mostly BS but I’ll post anyway) Bradbury was at 60 ( average to below average overall and below average in pass pro), Ingram was 59 ( slightly below average overall, well below average pass blocking and strip sacked his own QB), and Risner was 57 (slightly below average overall, well above average pass blocking, but well below run blocking).

Since their inception in 1936, the Bears have had the #1 pick in the draft twice. First in 1941, and then again in 1947.
According to Bill Zimmerman of SB Nation’s Windy City Gridiron, the Chicago Bears don’t necessarily need a new quarterback, though they could definitely use an elite edge-rusher to pair alongside Montez Sweat.
That is the premise behind a trade proposal he authored on Saturday, January 27. In his proposal, the Bears ship the No. 1 overall pick in 2024 to the Las Vegas Raiders in return for seven total draft selections over the next three years, and two-time All-Pro edge defender Maxx Crosby.
In this draft trade scenario, the Bears would land picks 13, 44, and 77 this year. They would also land the Raiders first and third round picks in 2025, and finally they would land the Raiders second and fourth round picks in 2026. On top of all that, they get Maxx Crosby as well.

To rank these teams, I used my proprietary DVOA ratings which look at efficiency on a play-by-play basis adjusted for situation and opponent. For teams prior to the start of DVOA in 1981, I estimated DVOA ratings based on Pro Football References’, Simple Rating System, plus the average margin of victory during the postseason. There’s also an adjustment for the first four Super Bowl champions to reflect that the NFL was stronger than the AFL before the merger.
1. 1991 Washington (17-2, 53.9%)
Here’s the team that DVOA says is the greatest of all time. Washington led the NFL in points scored and was second in points allowed. It lost by a field goal to the Cowboys after an 11-0 start, then sat its starters in the second half of the final week and lost to the Eagles by two points. That was it for losses.
For the 1991 season, Washington was second in offensive DVOA behind San Francisco, third on defense behind Philadelphia and New Orleans and first on special teams. But what’s more impressive is where Washington ranks in DVOA out of 1,309 teams going all the way back to 1981. It’s the only team to rank in the top 50 for all three phases. (Specifically, Washington is 50th in offense, 36th in defense and 19th in special teams.)
Washington won games during the regular season by scores like 45-0 (Detroit), 34-0 (Phoenix) and 23-0 (Philadelphia). It beat the Falcons 56-17 and the Rams 27-6. Then came the playoffs. A rematch with the No. 8 Falcons ended with a score of 24-7. The Lions made it to the NFC championship despite ranking only 13th in DVOA, only to be pummeled by Washington, 41-10. Washington had a 37-10 lead over the No. 4 Bills with half of the fourth quarter left in Super Bowl XXVI, eventually winning the Lombardi Trophy 37-24 after two late Bills touchdowns sandwiched around a successful onside kick.

I went to a forum type meeting this morning with the admin of a large city to get information on their “green” jobs push. My business, at the core, is a labor source so its important for me to know what’s going on as far as job development in the area. I read the agenda yesterday and I immediately knew I was in for a bunch of BS after reading that part of their plan was related to equity. Introduce yourself and state your pronouns, wish I had a maga hat, it would have been hilarious to wear it.

I am OK getting rid of some picks this year but not selling the future and multiple firsts and seconds etc… The problem is we have more holes to fill (gigitty) than QB and the cheap options to fill them is through the draft not FA. Tough situation. It’s why KAM gets paid the big bucks I guess.
The fact that they need players lends more to using future picks which isn’t ideal but teams have made those moves and still succeeded. If there is a guy they fall in love with like MT has Jude Law, then do whatever it takes to get him and screw what the fans and media say. With hock recouping and Bradberry’s physical limitations at center, let him move to TE. Free agent or draft center, wave magic wand to fix it our GM is a genius as I’ve been told.

In regard to QotD: I’d like to see an upgrade at the C spot. Bradbury hasn’t lived up to expectations of a 1st rounder.
I may be salty about it considering we could’ve taken Jeffery Simmons and he’d be a massive upgrade to our IDL.
Truth be told I’d love to see FA upgrades at all 3 IOL spots but don’t think that will happen given the cap troubles and a laundry list of team needs.

I worked 3rd shift for quite a few years when I was young – a few of those years working 2nd/3rd shift at 2 jobs full time. 80 hours a week. I enjoyed the solitude working late at night – allowed me to plan and prioritize my future both immediate and long term. I’m an early riser usually these days but blessed to work my own schedule – once every few months I’ll get a manic phase in me and stay up all night, focused on something and it’s every detail. Usually it’s cleaning/organizing something. I’m very OCD and a neat freak and take great pride in a clean and organized home. l also like knowing my wife and dogs are upstairs sleeping peacefully and safe and I’m awake ‘keeping watch’ so to speak. Feels good to have something to protect. Instead of cleaning, last night’s focus was on the MMP for my wife in February.

It does get mighty dark out here if there is no moon. I’ve considered picking up a big ol’ used Dobsonian off one of the stargazing sites. Kinda low on the list of priorities…this year is about finishing the addition, planting my shelter belt with all the drip irrigation doodads (340 baby trees/shrubs), finishing fencing the quarter adjoining the ding dong neighbor, and maybe getting a lil Amish greenhouse.
When I was a lab tech in my former life, I took call q6. Call was BRUTAL, I do not miss those days. As an intern I was okay being awake at night as the reasons for being awake weren’t busy work at someone else’s request but because shit was happening that needed me to be awake. As for overnight shift as a radiologist, no thank you. I lose about 30% of my concentration after midnight.
Jury duty today. I’m not supposed to bring in my phone. What are we, barbarians? I’m sure when I say that all the lesbian Mexican women are taking our jobs that they will immediately want me to be a juror.

I understand it is my civic duty but the possibility of jury duty hanging over my head when I am in the pool for a year is a major downer. Fortunately I haven’t got fingered since moving to Dawson County. I was in the pool for city, county, and federal juries during my tenure in Billings.

Answer of the day: I would start with Bradberry, he has not progressed enough to keep trotting him out onto the field. Ingram has improved the last two years and could continue to improve. Risner I can take or leave, it was his first year in the program.
As much as I want to say the same because of Bradberry’s physical limitations, we saw just how much he helps the offense with the mental side and calls when he’s out there. He is not addition by subtraction… that said I still want an upgrade just saying I struggle with him or Ingram being the first to go.
After Bradberry’s 1st year most of the talking heads were saying it takes 3 years to learn the center position in the NFL. After his 2nd year they said he needed to add 15 lbs to be strong enough to block the bigger NTs.
It’s been 4 years and he added the 15 lbs and he is not progressing. Can the mental side be taught to a new C, I can’t answer that.
Yes it can. But at what level. Like when he was injured, it was clear everything wasn’t as cohesive and calls weren’t as good. That’s why I am saying it’s not that I don’t want an upgrade but he is better than his physical limitations but at the same time… dude is limited.

Not sure they take JJ the following year but if they had…. Could you imagine JJ and AJ lining up together? Not enough balls to go around – which likely would’ve been a problem. But a good one to have.
That’s BS about size, Jason Kelce is one of the two, if not the best Center in the NFL and he’s only 300 lbs after a lizzo sized lunch (listed at 295). Bradbury’s balance, technique, and functional strength limit him.
The call being right is meaningless if the C gets thrown into his QB’s lap at the snap…..
If they end up moving on from Kirk they might want to have a veteran that knows the calls to help the rookie.
Especially if they get a mobile guy.
Best case would be to keep Kirk around for a year or two, let a rookie QB sit, get a center in the 2nd or 3rd if you think it’ll be an upgrade of Bradbury and give him a chance to play with Kirk who can help with some of those calls. That would make drafting a D-line in the first tough though. Maybe there will be a center available around 4 or 5. Keep Bradbury for another year, draft d-line with the first pick, trade back into the first for JJ then center at the next pick. Re-sign Hunter, and get a DT or DE in FA, preferably whichever isn’t drafted first. Then they just need Cine and Booth to step up. A TE and LB in FA would be good too.
It’s crazy how much of our off season is tied to Cousins. The draft could be a complete flip depending on whether we let Kirk go or we keep him.
I think if we keep him, we go defense early in the draft, and look at QB in the second round.
At least there’s a decent gap between when FA starts and the draft. I’d prefer they get something done one way or another on Kirk sooner rather than later. I’m sure nothing will happen until after the SB though. Wouldn’t want to take any attention away from Travis Swift.
I’d be shocked if anything is officially decided on Kirko much before March 13th. That’s Kirko’s leverage date.
I agree. If it were me I’d set an internal date and tell Kirk we are getting something done by then or we’re done so that the team can prepare for and focus on other FA’s and the draft.

I used to host a radio show in college called Angry Chair with my friend Neil for the SMSU radio channel, we used to get in trouble all the time for talking instead of playing music, it was a lot of fun.
My Radio Show was Called, “Anthems of Rebellion”. Here is one of our opening promos we did. We would get a lot of letters weekly from the penitentiary for requests of songs. One guy would call us, he had run of the rec room for like 1 hour a week and made sure it was during our show to make everyone have to listen to the metal haha.
