The Teacher just had half a dozen frozen pies delivered from ‘The Idaho Pie Company’. We have wanted to try it since before we moved up here. She said buying in bulk was cheaper and since they are frozen thay won’t go to waste.

He definitely wanted to remain with the Redskins, but Bruce Allen didn’t want to keep him. He wanted to then remain a Viking, and retire with them, but KAM didn’t want him. So it’s real simple.
I would say that rather than ‘Redskins and Vikings did not want to keep him’ that ‘Redskins and Vikings didn’t want to keep him at his required price.
He wanted to stay with both teams I believe, just at his price. Again, doesn’t make either side ‘bad’ or wrong.
That’s not true though. Bruce Allen and KAM refused to give Cousins the guarantees needed to ensure he could remain with them. The money was not the issue, as Cousins offered both teams deals below market value, if they ensured he would remain with them. Both GM’s rebuffed his offers.
And he rebuffed theirs, that is the way negotiations work.
Their offers were worthless. You don’t accept offers that will never be realized.

No, Cousins offers were reasonable, but the GM’s wanted to be able to trade or cut him to get rid of his salary if they wanted. Cousins was wise to not allow a team to control his destiny.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, it is more a logic exercise for me.
Sometimes logic doesn’t work. Logic would say a GM would do what he thinks is best for the team. Bur what if you had a GM (owner) that was more driven by spite or getting even?

It done correctly Chest Compressions will more than likely to break some ribs.
That’s for sure. It is also impossible to do quality chest compressions for more than five minutes, unless perhaps you are an elite athlete with lungs the size of an elephants.
I say this once having to do one man CPR with a bag valve mask for 45 minutes in the back of an ambulance. I was soaked with sweat and too weak to help pull the gurney off the bus. Guarantee the poor guy had zero chance of survival after my first five minutes.

Doing all you can to save a life and not being successful can be crushing. Hope you have made your peace with it, most medical types have had to learn how to do that.
Radiologists as a rule have little patient contact but there are a few regulars in my practice. Guy about 10 years younger than me that I’ve seen here about two dozen times died Tuesday morning. He was a Raiders fan, always sporting Raiders swag and we talked a lot of football during our visits. I’m gonna miss the guy.
You certainly seemed to have had ‘patient contact’ when you did 45m of CPR.
The house next door to where I grew up was an ‘old folks home’ for awhile. I played Chess with one old guy there. He caught fire and I was the first one there (aged 10-11). I though ‘fire, got to get him out’ but his wheelchair was locked. I ran for help/nurse, when I got back others were spraying him with a hose. If I had though of that would he have survived? Still bothers me sometimes even if it is not logical.
Burns are horrible. Just horrible. I had some skill as a phlebotomist in my former life and would get sent on blood trips routinely to the burn ward or pediatric ward back at the Walter Mackenzie at the good ol’ U of A. Can be quite the feat to get blood from someone with burns all over their body as you can imagine. Sometimes I thought if that was me it would have been better to have died outright than suffer so much.
The CPR was back when I was an EMT here in Glendive. Went on a run for severe chest pain west of Bloomfield.
Burns are the worst, had a Army friend/co-worker to was severely burned, used to sit with him and he would cry when they came to take him to the Burn Scraping Room.
They were constantly changing his meds so he didn’t get addicted.
Very hard to watch/assist.

Ummmm… Cousins played on reasonable contracts. The team did not suffer because of him. There were a lot of other players on big contracts… Thielen, Cook, Hunter, Kendricks, Barr, etc. Add that all up and yeah, it hurt the team financially. Then pushing Cousins cap hit out year after year, was just piling up debt.
And honestly every single player in the NFL is looking to get paid, and set a standard. Like JJ. Like Love. Like Ayuik. Like Hockenson. Etc, etc, etc.
Blaming Cousins contract as the reason the team played poorly is just scapegoating.

Another feather for the cap of Kwesi and KOC is the fact that they were upfront with Cousins about how they viewed the future and what they wanted to do and sign him for etc…which allowed Cousins to weigh his options, and go to a spot that wasn’t upfront to him about what the future plan was, which turns out is the EXACT plan that the Vikings had for him, but he chased down more money. It’s not Kirk’s fault the Falcons weren’t upfront about it all, but it’s Kirk’s fault for chasing more money.
So…good on ya Kwesi and KOC, i’d hate to cheer for an organization that was untruthfully luring players

The writing was on the wall from the year before when KAM turned down. three years at 37 and only wanted to go two years – the beginning of the end right then.
Of course he would. KAM made it clear he wouldn’t pay Cousins what he was worth, wouldn’t guarantee him beyond 2024, and of course would not include a no trade trade clause. Thus, there was absolutely no future for Cousins in Minnesota. He went to an organization that provided the stability he sought.
Penix may or may not usurp Cousins in the future, but he knows Atlanta paid him, guaranteed him, and provided a no trade clause. All the things KAM was not inclined to do.
For the record, I am not “downing” KAM. From a pure business perspective, it makes sense for the Vikings.

To be fair, plenty of players have come off of injuries (including Achilles tears) and played well. I think Cousins plays very well this year. The guy flat knows what he’s doing. He’s a proven product.

IF the QB play is decent, and the run game is good, I think the Vikings can beat anyone. I expect the second year in Flores defense will help the team a lot. A strong defense, and a solid running game wins Championships.

Even under that scenario, the Vikings could be within a game or even ahead of the Falcons. The NFC South is not that good. What if they’re fighting for the division win with a 8-9 record?
It may be exactly that – I know little about the Falcons but living down here have an idea about the overall division.
Now us – we have a couple of problems One, the Lions and Packers have better rosters. And two, they both have better QB situations than we do. And if Caleb is anything like his billing, that’s a problem for us.
We could win some games, be competitve, and still be last in the division.
Some of this is silly.
Atlanta is in a different position. they have had poor QB play for a couple of years and want a good QB and a chance to win the division. Maybe not lofty, but a fair goal
