Chief Eliz Warren suggests creating a pathway for millions of illegals for citizenship. Harris can get it done. She may be a bigger joke than cackles. Do you suppose this is a effort to provide a one party system? Think they call it socialism. Hide your cash boys if this idiot gets in office.

What’s somewhat amazing about the illegal issue – what minority group (blacks) gets hurt the most by the influx of illegals. They suck up all community resources leaving black communities ever further behind.

The Democrats Restoring Our American Republic (ROAR) PAC is calling on donors to demand they get their money back.

Recently, the group released a statement from president Raven Harrison.

“Joey’s got some splainin’ to do to his supporters who donated to a candidate who they were told was ‘sharp as a tack.’ Only a week after insisting all was fine, Joe’s back in the basement. The American people deserve leadership, and it’s clear that Joe Biden isn’t providing it. However, this palace coup within the Democrat party is evidence of the contempt they hold for their favorite buzz-word ‘democracy,’ their voters, and indeed the American people,” she said, highlighting how the American people were told that Biden was supposedly fit to stay in the race, only to drop out a few days later.

Can’t believe the number of people who fall for the line of BS, and lies, they’re fed by the Dem’s.

Not sure they fell for this line. More like even he was lacking, and it could be hidden from the public so he still could get elected. they didn’t care. Anyone with normal thinking processes could look at Joe over the last few years and know he wasn’t running on all cylinders.

Wonder how much of this is ‘spin’ to prop up JJ and how much is the kid starting to shine and show ‘what he’s got’?

Added to the post below: How much is the pressure getting to Darnold making him revert to form?

Some of each? All of it can be true? Will make preseason interesting.

I think pundits will pundit. This is training camp, with QB’s throwing against air, and no one allowed to touch them etc. Darnold has never been consistently accurate, but he has a good arm, and is more athletic than folks may realize. McCarthy has a really strong arm. What he lacks is the experience of running an NFL level offense, and those real-world reps against an opposing defense trying to take his head off. Just too early for anyone to make any judgements in my opinion.

As he’s said several times, KOC doesn’t want to rush McCarthy into service. There’s pro’s and con’s to that strategy, and arguments on each side. I expect Darnold will start the season under center for us, and we’ll see how long that lasts.

Wondering if JJ is getting into his ‘groove’ a bit and it is making Darnold press more. If so it is not going to get better for Darnold.

Honestly, I think Darnold is just operating at his norm. He’s never been close to really consistent or accurate. He does know how to operate in the NFL though, and should have the advantage at this point “between the ears” having been in the league as long as he has. McCarthy is simply showing he can make the throws, which pretty much everyone already knew he could.

McCarthy has the tools, they just need to be sharpened to NFL level. He’ll be very good IMO.

Unbelievable…

Former FBI agent Peter Strzok will receive more than $1 million from the FBI after suing the Bureau during the Trump administration.

“On behalf of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent Peter P. Strzok, Zuckerman Spaeder LLP has finalized a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) over claims that DOJ violated Mr. Strzok’s privacy rights. Mr. Strzok was terminated by the FBI in 2018 after his private text exchanges were made public,” Strzok’s attorneys released in a statement Friday. “The settlement, finalized today, resolves the allegation that the DOJ violated the Privacy Act when it publicly released Mr. Strzok’s private text messages, which were critical of then-presidential candidate, Donald Trump.”

Here’s the kicker… the so called “private” text messages were sent and received on Strzok’s official government device. I’m shocked that he prevailed in this suit. Government devices are not private, and under the Federal Records act, any information contained on them is Federal property.

Incoming freshman, reporting athletes, construction woes and a rogue student-cadet that went ham and papered the campus with frivolous tickets on all his buddies cars (and everyone in the Chancellor’s office, which went over like a fart in church) – it was actually pretty funny.

And it’s only going to get busier the closer we get to the start of the academic year.

Wife hit a random car bumper that was just laying in the middle of I-80 while taking her mother to the airport early Wednesday morning. She changed lanes to go around an 18 wheeler and after checking her blind spot, turned back to find a black bumper in the middle of the road. She swerved to miss it and it didn’t hit it head on, but it swung around the driver side and underneath the front end. She and her mom were okay and after she contacted the State Patrol to report it and seeing what she thought was cosmetic damage she carried on – for another 10 miles – until the car started chugging and the dash lit up with every light there was. She got it limped to a gas station and called me and then roadside assistance. Radiator was smoked. So it’s in the shop and she’s zipping around in a sporty little rental at $1.80 a day – thank god for insurance. $500 deductible and we’re good to go. I wish she’d have had the foresight to take pictures of the bumper (I’m thinking there’s got to be a parts number that links it to someone, my guess is that it fell off a salvage truck – that happens a lot around here – but it could’ve easily be a negligent driver who literally duct-taped the thing on)

Had a good doctor’s visit this week. I’m at 288 – a far cry from the 435 I was almost 3 years ago. My GP and my cardiologist both want me to start Ozempic – claiming it’ll help to protect my heart as well as eventually getting me off insulin entirely (started at 28 units of Lantus daily, now down to 16 with my daily BS averaging 118 and my A1C down to 5.9%) I’m skeptical, but ultimately trust them and I pick up my first dose this afternoon at the pharmacy.

Looking forward to Back Together Weekend starting today. I’m football starved and this will be a nice appetizer.

TL;DR – basically Hammer is just killing it down here in Bugeater country….

Hope the weekend finds y’all safe and sound, food in your bellies, spirits in your glasses and smiles on your faces…..

FTP Auto Rec.

It would have been hard for your wife to get a picture of the bumper as she was avoiding running over it at the time. I doubt it close enough to get pictures once she safely pulled over to assess the damage.

Congrats on the healthier weight and health. I pulled weeds for a bit yesterday and feel fine today. Before the move pulling weeds would cause aftereffects for next few days. I guess organizing, packing, moving, unpacking, setting up house is a lot like exercise.

Oh and obligatory TLDR.

Lol…. She said she pulled over right away and walked over to it to see what it was as she and her mom initially thought it was an animal (MIL actually thought it was a body, lol…) – the road was dead as it was like 330 in the morning. She said she saw the license plate holder with no license plate and that’s how she knew it was a bumper – she said it looked like it came off a newer car. Ultimately I’m happy she wasn’t hurt and I don’t fault her for not getting a photo as I likely wouldn’t have thought to do it in the moment either. Just would’ve been nice to find the responsible party – but that’s a perfect-world scenario and we don’t live there.

Happy you’re into your Idahome. It’s got to feel good to be settled after dealing with banks, movers, realtors, landfills, 110 degree deserts and the stress of actual moving – no doubt all of that stuff is exercise.

Now you can kick back, fiddle with house stuff as we start the slow, steady march toward Viking football. Good for you.

Ahhhh I was picturing SoCal Freeways, not even at 3:30 am would I have felt safe examining stuff in or near the traffic lanes. Way too many impaired/distracted drivers.

The house is coming together, last few pieces of furniture was just delivered so some final organizing and they we can work on decor/accents. We have most of that stuff in the upstairs ‘great room’ so gravity can help us bring those boxes down.

It will soon be ‘fully functional’ and the rest to follow eventually. I started to put my signs up in the garage. One I-5 sign I got from along side the freeway when working with CalTrans, my ‘Only Authorized Personnel’ sign I got from the prison (don’t tell them) and my ‘Deadly Force Authorized’ signs I have had since I worked at a nuclear site from 1977-1981.

$220.M for 4 years for Love = $55.M a year, equalling the highest paid QBs in the NFL (Burrows and Lawrence) and the 8th QB currently making over $50.M a year.

It’s pretty insane for 8 good games and a year after they were unwilling to pay him and seemed unconvinced of him being a QBotF.

That’s a lot of guaranteed money, too, which the Packers usually don’t give out.

I figure timing was an issue.
Training camp starting and the starting QB ‘not going to participate’ until extension was signed. They needed to get it done but it seems like they wanted to believe in him as QBoTF so badly that paid him like an established star.

For most teams I’d say say this is a bit crazy. But given the Packers somehow ability to get the QB right (and really right) I’ll hold off.

It is not about the money but about the respect that it represents.

Have to say, the FBI looks like it’s being very political, and trying to interfere in the 2024 election by intentionally sparking conspiracy theories about the assassination attempt on Trump. We now have a true tin foil hat theory that Trump was never hit by a bullet, a piece of misinformation that was printed in Newsweek, and now MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell pushed that narrative on his show. This is grotesque that Americans are being told that Trump was potentially not shot. Gross miscarriage of professionalism by the FBI and the News media.

Don’t believe your eyes, believe what we tell you.

FBI has confirmed that Trump was struck by a ‘bullet or portion of a bullet’ fired by the attempted assassin.

Of course a released statement will never get the coverage that the Head of the FBI testifying in front of Congress will, so the Libs are free to spout convenient lies.

Now-a-days you can’t even believe half of what you see, what with ‘deep fakes’ and AIs.

So maybe a quarter of you see now? Life broadcasts and with the Mark 1 Eyeball.

Good morning and SKOL!

So far Darnold and McCarthy are looking good in camp. Looking at other teams (Chiefs, Jets, Texans, Ravens, etc) everyone is excited to be back, and the team is looking good.

Pre-season games coming. I’d think we would get an idea of what the offense will look like a little but nothing solid until the first regular season game.

You a salary/cap guy?
Seems the Lions and Packers have expensive QB situations while we have the opposite. Hope there’s maybe an inverse relationship with performance?

I’d say it’s obvious if you have a capable QB on a rookie deal, you’re in much better shape than the alternative. But rookies are gonna rookie. Bryce Young had a terrible first year, and 3 years in, the “young GOAT” Lawrence is decidedly average.

So, sometimes a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, as they say.

Guess “if you have……” is the prevailing theory. Also guess Bucs,Rams and Chiefs didn’t get the message.

Well again, GM’s also write big contracts they never intend to pay off. Without a no trade clause, or guaranteed years of money, a GM can dump a high priced asset, and not suffer too much. That’s the plan with contracts. They look impressive, but aren’t worth the paper they’re written.

I listen to all the analysts talk about this get a rookie on a cheap contract etc and you’re set, so to speak.
But the Bucs Rams Chiefs didn’t do that and for that matter neither did the Ravens or Niners, they had playoff teams first.
