Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
Lots of random buzz about Kyler Murray to the Vikings, although it’s all just water cooler chatter, nothing substantive. The upside of this move would be getting Murray on a vet minimum deal, but the downside is getting an undersized QB with a questionable work ethic (according to the Cards front office, who I don’t really trust, so grain of salt). I trust KOC to know whether he can get production out of someone, but I would hope they do their due diligence prior to pulling the trigger.
I saw that Lou Holtz passed away. He was a great coach and seemed like a very good man, we need more like him. He was 89 years old.
Vikings and NFL News
The Vikings are putting an exclusive rights tender on DT Jalen Redmond, per MSN. Solid move, I like Redmond.
Fox Sports says the Vikings are looking at Tua in addition to Murray. Grain of salt, this is likely just silly season rumor mill fodder.
The Vikings notified the first of their 2026 cap casualties, story from Yahoo Sports.
More cap news:
The Panthers and Cardinals will play in the Hall of Fame game in Canton this year, per CBS Sports.
The Steelers are releasing TE Jonnu Smith, and the Patriots are releasing WR Stefon Diggs, per NFL.com. Both are cap casualties. I’d be okay with a Diggs/Vikings reunion.
Aaron Rodgers has no plans to do TV after he retires, according to NBC Sports.
NBC Sports has a piece honoring and remembering Lou Holtz, who passed away at the age of 89.

Here’s episode 2 of Shawn Ryan’s psyop series. Enjoy!

- Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.
- Twitter sized version: Be cool to one another.
Laughing…
I was out playing a round of golf this morning with a guy when a funeral procession passed by.
He paused, removed his cap, bowed his head, and stood there quietly. I said, “That’s the most respectful thing I’ve ever seen.”
He said, “Well, we were married for 30 years!”
An oldy but a goody.
Bears traded DJ Moore to the Bills.
Bills get Moore & a 5th round pick, Bears get a 2nd round pick.
Buffalo Bills Finalize Trade to Acquire Big-Name Wide Receiver DJ Moore
Rubio was exactly right then, and knows exactly what he’s doing now. We’re blessed to have this man in our midst at this time in history.
Hope J.D. Vance keeps him as Sec State once he wins in 2028.

Rickie with a huge break off the rocks on 18. Ball bounced way up, and came down within about a foot of the hazard. 90 feet from the hole, but Rickie hit a beautiful pitch to 3 feet and saved his par. Nice bogey free, three under round in tough windy conditions.
GF, is this what you took your boy to last year?
Yep, they have one in Minneapolis again, too.
See?
Well JR, we got the rainstorm with lightning and thunder going on here. Cats are looking out the window at all the trees and bushes moving around.
Oh, we’re getting some too. But we need the rain.
Up here by Eglin it has beem beautiful. Golfed twice so far, played ok, but i have been off for 18 weeks.
Playing tomorrow and Saturday too
That’s great. One of the perks living in Fl is nice golf weather most all the year and plenty of golf courses.
It’s been decades since I was last at Eglin (mid 80’s to early 90’s), but they used to have two courses there that were really great. Hard courses. A ton of elevation changes which were surprising to me for Florida. Lots of trees, and lots of water.
Yes, we played one easy, and one hard (Blackwater). Saturday we play at Hulbert Field, home of US Special Forces. Suppose to be a tough course. We filled out the paper work to get on base, have a sponsor golfing with us, but it is not 100% they will let civilians in, given what is going on
Gator Lakes Golf course there at Hurlburt Field. I spent some time in AFSOC there. Used to be a big gator in the lake on the 3rd hole I think it was.
It will never pass, unfortunately with the anti 2A leftists in Congress.
Would seem we already have the right to bear arms freely and openly. Why do we need something else.
One would think, but lots of states restrict those rights significantly.
Good luck, it will be required.
We have constitutional carry here already, but it should be nationwide.
Isn’t the Constitution of the United States nationwide law for all citizens?
Wild acquire D Jeff Petry.

Are they going to make one more big splash before the deadline tomorrow?
Sounds like their offer for Trocheck is the best, but the Rangers are waiting to see if they can get more.
I think picks are being thrown around like crazy. Good teams are not putting much value to 1st and 2nd round picks.
And then this report comes out:
https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2026/03/wild-notes-trocheck-oreilly-coyle.html
Sounds to me like BG is getting word out in the media to push the Rangers to their asking price.
Wife: I’m a little worried about grandma. I’m not sure about her cognitive ability.
Me: Hmmmm… hey grandma, what comes after 69?
Grandma: Mouthwash…
Your permission to use that one? I like.
I bought this hat after we got down here because I got sunburned. The hat matches a pair of swim trunks I bought in Wisconsin, didn’t realize it till after I bought the hat. I just noticed that it also matches my shoes.
Like the shoes and hat. Did you have a chance to drive down the road a bit to Juno Beach – spectacular area?
Yep, we ate there the other night. Beautiful area.
There’s a dinner there – Juno Cafe – has the best breakfasts in the area.
Rickie Fowler finally makes birdie from 9 feet on the par 5 fourth hole to get to one under. Solid start. Daniel Berger torched the course though this morning with a spectacular 9 under round of 63.
Par five, what a pansy. Courses I play rarely have more than a par two hole.
Laughing… I understand.
See Kristi Noem just got canned (pushed aside).
Mullins, R from Oklahoma is expected to replace her.
Being a Senator from a red state the Governor can appoint his replacement keeping the seat GOP.
She’s getting a different position

If I wasn’t married, I’d have a joke to insert here.
I’m married…are there other positions?
Yeah she bombed the hearings on the hill.
Oh yea, the 200 mil ad campaign was the kiss of death.

Buy low!
Yup.
Stonks will be back up once the Strait of Hormuz is reopened.
Dems jumping for joy… the last thing they want is for our country to be more prosperous or the economy to grow under DJT.
When you think about it, France is the country that should be named Iran.
Oooooo, buuurrrnn
Well they were pretty bad-ass back during Napoleon’s time, but not so much since then.
Well until he met up with the Duke of Wellington…
The Prussians helped quite a bit.
And it was still a pretty close thing.
I think when all is said and done Iran’s new name could be: parking lot
No heavy equipment was used on this project.
High tide is coming in, it’s only a matter of time.
Moore will be great for Josh Allen.
A question for NLV or anyone else that may know – how many damn rockets and missles does Iran have?
They seem to be better stocked than Russia,
Hence the need to stop their nuclear capabilities.
But, we were told that operation midnight hammer already did that. Donny told all of us that they were OBLITERATED, remember?
We absolutely obliterated every target we attacked. We took out the sites that were enriching uranium, and a few others. Buried them under miles of rubble.
Yep, and Biden told us jhdfkjhioueyrkjdhkjlhfdkjah5;kafd%W@jllk df.
I’m sorry, I missed that. Could you repeat it?
jhdfkjhioueyrkjdhkjlhfdkjah5;kafd%W@jllk df
Thanks.
Not being an apologist, but I don’t think a bomb is going to do much to uranium. More likely the enriching centrifuges were destroyed. Nonetheless you can bet that Iran was sitting on a pretty big stockpile of moderately enriched uranium even after the bombings. AFAIK Iran with 4 or 5 nukes would not be a global peace stabilizer.
It seems that making drones, rockets and missiles is their main industry.
They provide Russia with most of the ones they use against The Ukraine as well.
Out of 145 countries with a military capability, Iran’s is ranked around 16th in the world for power. They are more capable than people think. They have decent ground forces with around 2,700 tanks and 76,000 armored vehicles. They have about 1500 or so mobile rocket launchers. The amounts of rockets and missiles they own was/is classified but it’s significant.
Watching the Arnold Palmer tournament on-line. Orlando weather is beautiful this morning JR.
It is beautiful here.
I’m going to the tournament Saturday. Always neat to see the big boys hit the ball in person.
I’ve been to that tournament twice. The first time I went was in 2003 when Nicklaus and Palmer were playing in competition together on the PGA tour for one of their last times. Tiger, Vijay, Bernhard Langer, Nick Faldo (who totally blew me off unnecessarily for an autograph on Wednesday) Ernie Els (who let me walk inside the ropes with him as he played the 9th hole on Wednesday) and many others. It was a memorable week for me, as I got to talk with Arnie, Jack, Ernie, Vijay, and Bernhard Langer among others. I never got very close to Tiger, except for the par 3 second hole on Thursday when I squeezed my way to a position on the tee box where I was within about ten yards of him. He was not available for autographs which was disappointing, but he won that week for his fourth in a row I think.
I’d rather drink an Arnold Palmer
I’d rather drink with Arnold Palmer.
tough, as he’s dead.
but I stand by it.
I don’t remember this episode of Happy Days.
Mr.Miyagi, The Fonz, Forrest Gump among others, Karate Kid preview??
5m video
I don’t remember that either… getting old I guess.
According to Google it came out after I joined the Army which would explain why I never saw it.
‘Tom Hanks guest-starred on Happy Days in the Season 10 episode “A Little Case of Revenge” (1982)’
OK… I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters in the U.K. at that time.
It’s fun watching old tv shows and seeing guest stars that went on to star in tv or movies. I was watching a Night Court from season one and Michael J Fox was a guest star.
This one?
They rebooted night court, spoiler alert, it sucks
I don’t mind the re-boot. It doesn’t just replace Harry with a woman. The storyline has the judge as Harry’s daughter.
Yeah i get the storyline, but she’s no Harry and it just sucks is all, though it’s like the first thing John Larroquette has done since the original
I remember watching an old game show with my dad, like from the 70s old, and one of the contestants was the blond chick from Cheers.
i can’t remember if i told the story of my friends baseball cards….
long story short, i saved him from selling a binder full of cards for $100 on marketplace, told him lemme look at them…
found 3 mickey mantles, 7 hank aarons 8 willie mays and a couple of pete rose’s that are going to grade well…
all in all, probably am going to help him make a couple thousand dollars on this stuff.
I have been selling his other cards on ebay (probably 12-15 cards so far) and have made him $225 so far. that’s not counting the actual good cards, these have just been some good “stars” cards in good shape.
it’s been a fun adventure
I’m interested in buying some of those, let me know what’s available.
whats funny is that another friend of mine gave me a bunch of his cards to go through.
ended up finding a ton of 1955, 1956 and 1960 cards. some are in really bad shape. some are decent.
unfortunately the worst one out of those 1956’s is the sandy koufax haha.
want me to email you pictures of some of the cards i currently have (i’m holding onto most of them now for a card show at the end of March to bring and get some interest from people there)
Yes, please. You have my number, you can text pics, too; whichever is more convenient for you.
texting would be easiest. I will see if i can find your number again haha
I’ll email it to you
My dad had every set of Topps nfl cards from 1966-1992, after that the market started getting stupid with all the inserts and subsets to complete the sets. I remember when I was like six or so for some reason he needed a Larry Czonka rookie to complete the 69 set, apparently his was in poor condition. I went with my stepmom to the card shop to get it, I think it was between $50-75, which at the time I thought was a lot, it’s probably worth a few hundred now.
i have a few cards myself, including around 30 Adrian Peterson rookie cards between Topps and bowman. I lost some really cool stuff when my house burned down in HS, Kobe, Walter Payton, Jerry rice rookie cards were probably the most valuable. I’ve still got a ton of stuff though I quit collecting years ago.
i’m finding out that vintage is VERY popular still…
anything in the 50’s and 60’s sells.
anthing 80’s sucks unless it’s a rookie card of a HOFer
this is all baseball though, i know nothing about other sports cards
Anything from 1987 to 1992 is basically worth zero.
Correct.
For the most part, there are a few, but the card companies started reprinting individual cards in the 90s, saturating the market and driving values down, none more than Ken Griffey JRs upper deck rookie card, companies printed hundreds of thousands of these older individual cards and circulated them to make more money. Then they started the whole “insert” thing with autographed cards, game worn jersey cards, etc that further drove the value down of a standard rookie card.
You did. I offered you $1. You never followed up on my offer. It still stands.
At McDonald’s this morning they asked if I’d donate to charity. I said no.
They asked, “You don’t care about kids’ health?”
I said, “I’m eating here… I don’t even care about mine.”
Funny!
I don’t “round up” for charities at check outs because the company than donates to said charity and they get the tax deduction from my money. Scam.
Yes, had a friend tell me this a long time ago actually. Big scam for the public, thinking they are doing something noble, but the merchants are simply making more money off them.
I aways ask ‘what percentage of my donation goes to the charity’. They are required to tell you, industry standard is 12%.
At stores and restaurants the cashiers don’t even know the answer, yes big scam.
It makes me feel noble and glorious hence I do it.
That is funny and accurate.
Fake news, that guy is way too tall.
Laughing… my wife refers to Murray as “the midget”.
So we got this going for us…
Not sure if this is good or bad.
A lot can change depending if his dog needs any more emergency care.
I’m the last person to judge anyone for speeding.
Me too, although 140 is a little rich for my blood.
‘Do not intend to trade him unless they get a good enough offer to justify it.’
FIFY
That’s what I was thinking. If I wanted to trade someone, I wouldn’t tell anyone. I would publicly state that I love these player & I’m keeping him.
“We have no intentions of trading
Percy HarvinJordan Addison”exactly my thoughts when i read that tweet.
KAM allocated nearly $80M total in Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave last offseason.
One year later, they’re both gone.
Love those old Looney Tunes cartoons of yesteryear.
Boomerang is a must-have, it has a lot of the old original cartoons.
one year later all THREE are gone…..
Good call Freezey!
i’m so glad KAM is gone.
Same
I used to watch these clips while grilling, my boys would all gather around and watch with me. they loved it.
I love these old clips, Statford & Waldorf, too.
Trump has always been right…
It’s amazing watching his interviews from the 80s. He’s always believed and said what he does now and seeing what I can only call humility in not wanting to ever be president but doing it anyway, at least to me, puts into perspective the sacrifice he’s really making and therefore how true his intentions have to be.
Absolutely. Yet the lamestream media does all it can to misrepresent him and destroy him. He said it right. You might hold positions that are right, but unpopular, and people will attack you for that. Politicians with no brain, but a great smile get elected.
Yep, just look at the community planner in chief.
But if he had come out as a Democrat they would love him.
They all loved him as ‘one of them’ until he rode down the ‘Golden Escalator.
He was a Democrat for a long time. He saw the turn they took 15 years ago though and how they veered so far left that they lost all ability to be rational, and became so hypocritical it was (and continues to be) sickening. He actually maintains all those true values he always stood for, and old clips of him show this. He stood for peace through strength, America first, fair trade deals, and the safety, security, and prosperity of the Nation. Those are his core tenets. They ring true, and the left wants nothing more than to kill him.
When I think of all the drafts we’ve gone through with KAM two names keep coming to mind. Lewis Cine and Kyle Hamilton. This was pure unadulterated incompetence.
Yep, he should have known Cine’s leg would fall off… We will never really know what might have been if he had stayed healthy. He might have turned out okay with more time in the system.
No… he’s in the UFL now. His leg injury was terrible, but his play is just as bad.
It was trading back with the Lions to let them get a stud WR.
The fact Hamilton and Cine ended up the way they did made it way worse.
Agreed, it was a horribad trade.
The players involved just made it that much worse.
KOC still overrated by the media.
He’s overrated by many Viking fans too, he’s a good coach but he hasn’t even won a playoff game yet either, even zim did that in his four years.
He’s overrated far worse than a player with very similar initials that we only bitch about on Tuesdays, yet many believe he is pure gold.
Kirk still sucks
Jury is out on KOC. He will either do really well the next two seasons, or the team has another new coach again.
Exchange who for what.
With God’s grace KOC will be fired after this season.
Are you doing ok? You’ve been extra negative lately. Do I need to swing over to the G-Dive for a wellness check?
All I need to cheer me up is for the Vikings to trade Jefferson for a boatload of picks, play out the string with McCarthy (NO signing some washed out vet for $$$ and picks), finish near the bottom of the stack in 2026, KOC to get fired, and the team to get moved to San Jose.
That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Maybe, but we certainly know who is way more overpaid
Zim should’ve had more than one, too. Stupid Blair Walsh
While you Minnesota elect foreigners, purple hairs, and whatever Tim Walz is, I get to proudly say “that’s my senator”
Far better than that loser you had before!
Oh God yes. The length of time he spent in the Senate is squarely on the Republican party. The last term he won, the Republicans ran a guy who had sued the city of Billings Fire Department for a wild fire that went through some land he owns and reduced the value for his plan to turn it into a subdivision and obviously it was the Fire Department’s fault. That guy never stood a chance.
The other loser is that fool in the video yelling a US senator just broke the hand of a Marine.
The left seems to be really great at misrepresenting reality at the top of their lungs.
They pander to their base, people who don’t follow the facts and vote based on Feelings. My mom is one of those according to her.
They fan the flames of emotional outrage at every turn, valid or not. Hate is a powerful emotion. It has swayed many an election.
A Marine in dress blues acting like that – no way!
And as I recall the Senator was a decorated Navy Seal.
So the guy yelling is a total loser and doesn’t know his ass from………
Well the Marine was protesting putting US Servicemen and women in harm’s way something no one likes if done for political reasons.
Probably a TDS along with PTSD plus the the Marine is running for office in North Carolina so Politics is involved as well.
Then he shouldn’t have his uniform on.
He definitely should NOT be in uniform. It’s against the UCMJ to participate in a political activity in uniform.
He’s basically a Pakistani now. Married one and has been radicalized. Can’t his retirement or something be taken away under the UCMJ?
He was prior enlisted, they have many fewer options than they would have if he had been an officer.
I know the serial killer panty freak base commander colonel of CFB Trenton continues to receive his cheque of the month courtesy of the Canadian taxpayers.
Plus as he is wearing Sgt Stripes on his uniform so I doubt that he served long enough to earn a retirement.
Our class II senate race just got real interesting with Daines bowing out at the veritable last second.
Pretty sure that was planned to keep anybody and likely somebody specifically from getting in the race.
We need a horse trader in the GM spot… maybe Kevin Costner…
Kevin Seifert thinks the Vikings have Kyler Murray at the “top” of their wish list. Guess that will become apparent soon enough.
I don’t wanna go home tomorrow
Good weather, great beaches and plenty of good food. And no state income taxes.
Maybe stay longer.
My wife finally realized that this is a terrible place to retire. losing proximity to family will suck, but I think that once we actually retire she will consider FL.
My son & I want to move here. I’m starting to keep an eye out for a 2nd residence.
What’s the elk hunting like?
The hunt alligators instead.
They have to ‘cull the herd’.
Actually the more popular sport is watching all the pretty girls strolling down the beach in their skimpy bikinis.
I’m a fan… in Tampa there’s Bayshore Boulevard, which I think is like the longest continuous sidewalk in the world. It stretches a few miles. You can watch babes for hours there.
I like sitting on a mountain ridge with nobody around watching the sunset and listening to elk bugles. If heaven exists, that’s it.
Boy how old are you? Even at my age I’d rather look at pretty girls than hear elks bugle.
Understood. The pics you have posted have me even more fired up for my trip to Miami on two weeks. One day there, then a 4 day cruise.
Awesome, enjoy!!
We are also going to Florida in a couple of weeks. I should be easy to spot, pasty pale white guy on the beach slathered with sunscreen. Just walk up, say hi, and say “I’d like to blow your gjallarhorn”.
Another day closer to NFL off-season chaos.
An apple on an empty stomach is weird. It makes me hungrier and kind of sick feeling.
I asked Google about this.
Turns out it is normal. Apples have things going on with them that make them difficult to digest alone.
They make me fart
I consider fruit a necessary evil. I just eat it for some fiber.

Do not need the drama, or the cost, of an overpaid diva at the end of the line.
I like him, I think he & JJ would be a lethal duo
Diggs would be the #3 WR on this team and there is no way he’d be ok with that.
