I see KAM is out there keeping that Aaron Rodgers to Minny rumor alive. I think toying with the media would be one of the most fun parts of being an NFL GM, KAM sure seems to have fun with it. McCarthy is gonna be the guy, I expect he’ll go out and earn the top spot and never let it go.

From the Star-Tribune, KAM wants JJ McCarthy to start, but won’t rule out pursuing Aaron Rodgers. I still say there’s a 0.5% chance, at best, that Rodgers is in purple this year.

I postulated on the “Signal Gate” concerns when the story broke. I used to have Signal on my devices and was briefed it provided an end to end encrypted channel for sensitive communications. The level of encryption was not sufficient for Secret or Top Secret exchanges, but up to those levels, it was accredited.
I felt this has been something that has been left out of the discussions. The question here is, was the medium being used accredited at a level that would allow this type of discussion. In my opinion it was.
Now, here’s where it gets sticky. Why did a reporter remain in this text chat? Clearly he should not have been there. What was the right thing to do? Simple. Announce to the group you are clearly in a text session you should not be in, and advise the group leader to remove you. The reporter did not do this, so he was spying on our highest officials. He could be charged with espionage.
Next, he announces to the world he received classified information on this chat. The Dem’s insist he indeed received classified information. Then he published this classified information he was not entitled to. That is treason. He can be jailed for that.
The reporter claims he got classified information, then he published it. He broke the law in both instances if indeed the information is deemed to be classified as Secret or above. In an attempt to embarrass an administration, you admitted to spying and conducting treason.
Just my take.
My question is why the reporter in Mike Waltz’s contact list under just his initial?
Were they friends? Did they ‘do business’ together before?
Reporter is a verified Trump Hater who has lied about reports before, no way he should have been on the contact list to begin with.
Signal works like email. Sometimes you want to send an email to a group, and you use a previous email with those folks on it, to reply to. If there are folks you don’t want, you delete them to refine the address list to your needs.
Maybe there is someone in Mike Waltz’s contact list with the initials JG, but he’s using someone else’s previous chat group as his foundation, and doesn’t realize their JG is different than his JG.
That someone has that POS in their contact that is the issue.
Whomever had him needs to be checked out to see why.
Again as a avowed Trump hater there is not reason to be on anyones contact list.
Signal is a commercial application the Government implemented as a medium for sensitive communications. Because it’s a commercial application, and because reporters are always trying to interface with Government officials for sensitive information, they all have Signal loaded on their phones and their laptops. When a Government official wants to get their message out, they often do so to the press via Signal. So there’s every chance that a Government official could have Goldberg’s number in their contact list for disseminating official Government information.

Personally, this administration seems so energized and focused. They are all doing great things in their jobs and roles. The President seems absolutely tireless. The sleepy Joe administration looks completely lackluster in comparison.

Cam Ward out of Miami, and Shedeur Sanders (Deion’s son) out of Colorado, are pretty much hands down the top QB’s in the draft (according to pundits). Titans and Browns have the first two picks. Looks like Deion’s boy is gonna be a Brown.

Pennsylvania Democrat state senator Lindsey Williams gave controversial testimony at the state capitol on Wednesday while opposing a bill that would ban trans athletes from girls sports.
Williams, in prepared remarks ahead of the committee vote on the Save Women’s Sports Act, suggested that female athletes are physically comparable to male athletes, and don’t face biological disadvantages.
“I want all girls to know that there are elected officials like me who believe female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies,” Williams said.
“I want all girls to know there are elected officials like me who would never underestimate your ability to beat a boy at their own sport, because that’s what the premise of this bill assumes, that female bodies are less than male bodies, that girls are at an automatic disadvantage, and can’t possibly compete against boys. Even though girls do it every day. ”

I kind of miss being interested in baseball.
Twins were a blast 87 through Kriby retiring. Then again in early 2000s they were entertaining enough until losing to the Yankees each season.
Used to go to 1 or 2 games per summer, but now I prefer the Saints. Less money, better beer choices, and I am less likely to get stabbed walking to my car.

Yes, that’s the point. A huge portion of their economy is supported by their oil exports. Driving the cost of oil down, and taking their business away, will hit them hard. Biden cut U.S. oil production dramatically when he took office, and Europe was dependent on Russian and Iranian oil. How brilliant was that?

If the US and its allies (Europe in particular) stop buying Russian oil, i.e. oil embargo, the Russian economy will suffer greatly because oil export is huge for them.

Some notes on Derrick Harmon:
Harmon played his first three seasons at Michigan State before transferring to Oregon for his senior year. He finished with 45 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss including 5 sacks, 4 batted passes, and 2 forced fumbles last season. He has the size, length, athleticism, and strength to be a force inside at 6’4 1/2”, 313 pounds with 34 3/8” arms and 10 3/8” hands. He says he models his game after Chiefs’ All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones.
Harmon was the 10th highest graded (83.9) defensive tackle among the 2025 draft class in FBS last season, including 3rd highest (86.3) as a pass rusher. He led the FBS among DTs in quarterback pressures with 55 last season and 3rd highest pass rush win rate (17.6%) in his draft class with at least 100 snaps. He tied for the highest true pass set grade (91.2) and had the second-highest pass rush productivity ranking (9.1)
I would absolutely be down for getting a player like this in the 1st round to build and put into our already lovely defensive line…

Not against it if he is the best player available. Like JJ (QB) and Turner were last year.
Getting great players seems better than getting more players ala slick.
You just have to get the right players selected whiffing on a 1st rounder can certainly leave a mark.
obviously no idea how the draft shakes out, but if we could trade down a few spots and get an extra 3rd, i’d be VERY ok getting a DT who is a great pass rusher/diusrupter in the 1st, and then swing for a CB in the 3rd. There are still CB’s available in FA as well (albeit not GREAT ones, but still, known commodities)
Since the D Line seems pretty solid through FA, I wish they would do a LG.
I think LG is more a ‘Want’ than a ‘Need’.
IOL is already two levels better than it was last year.
Brandel did decent until Darrisaw went down, and it was his first year as a starter. Willing to see how he does in the new improved line. He might be the weakest link but it might not be by very much.
Shallower units like DBs, TEs, RBs or WR could use some more talent. Plus looking forward to where our FAs are in ’26 that rookies that can step up will be appreciated.

Agreed, I tried a few mocks last night and there were good CBs and Safetys available at #24 and even after a slight trade back.
Just got to get the right one. Still have a PTSD from all of our 1st round CBs that we got that face planted during the Zimmer era.
And KAM hasn’t exactly lit it up on draft night either.

Of course after that first one there was no where to go but up.

He’s offering me a three year contract with three void years so I can play WR1 for them… who can blame him? I mean $250,000 a year with a lot of deferred payments so I don’t get killed on taxes… and they get me as a number one option receiver at 5-8, 250 and a blistering 14.46 forty time!
