Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
We had our first baseball game of the season last night, and it was an absolute blast. The kids played great, despite only having had one official practice and one makeshift practice so far. We have a really good group of kids, coaches, and parents this year; it’s going to be a really fun year. We won the game, which isn’t overly important, but it adds to the fun.
This will be brief, we just rolled into Grand Forks at midnight, and we’re ready for bed.

From Fox 9, Justin Jefferson attended team OTAs, developing rapport with his new QB, and showing why he’s a team captain.

Caleb Williams is trying to undo some bad PR and now insists he wants to be in Chicago, more from NFL.com. You’ll recall the rumor that he tried to avoid going to Chicago and wanted to go to the Vikings prior to the draft, which I’m sure doesn’t endear him to the Chicago fan base.
Tyreek Hill is looking to prove himself after a disappointing 2024, from NFL.com.
CBS Sports looks at highlights of OTAs from around the league, including an impressive showing by Shedeur Sanders.

Someone mentioned this yesterday, it’s Shawn Ryan interviewing Dave Mustain. I still haven’t settled in to watch the whole thing, but I plan to. Here’s one clip. Enjoy!

- Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.

Probably influenced my decision to join the Army.
Same.
Still watch it almost everyday.

Really enjoyed that show. Even when they got serious, it was pretty good.
Not all heroes wear capes.
I vote yes. Free him.
They should let him go and give him a reward.
Probably saved thousands of dollars for the US gov.
Hell yes and maybe a pension.
And thinking about it, what crime did he commit?
Using Common Sense.

He should have been paying them.
Woke policies in action.
I read this to The Teacher and her rant will probably go on for a few hours.
Sam said some nice things recently about his time with the Vikings.
“It was just a special team to be a part of. Even from the beginning, you know, people not necessarily thinking we’re gonna be a great team, and for us to just be able to [win 14 games].”

Found the WH briefing from the Oval Office somewhat sad today. Elon’s last day officially working for the government.
Perhaps the most brilliant, innovative man of our time comes to Washington to take on the beast of government. On one hand, wouldn’t say it was a failure, but results are certainly underwhelming.
And the way he was personally attacked is beyond shameful. Think when a similar opportunity happens in the future there will be lots of volunteers.
Hate the idea, but may have to buy an electric car of his as a sort of gratitude.
The Democruds are celebrating DOGE failing to reach the ‘goal’ of $1 or 2 billon dollars.
They are the ones to slow down the cutting with Lawfare and fighting every step of the way. So I guess they are calling it a will.
Of course they were Pro-Cuts until DJT/Musk were working to get it done.
Actions Speak so much louder than words.
True. But I see this as an opportunity lost. A brilliant man, the WH, and both houses of Congress and still couldn’t make much progress.
Evecutive Orders can be challenged. Laws passed by Congress are strong. But with a razor slim majority in the House, every single Republican needed to be completely committed to make this happen. We didn’t have that.
You can look at as ‘glass 1/2 empty’ if you want.
They cut billions, the cabinet secretaries are continuing to cut, the House/Senate are still working on the BBB, even once that is done does not mean that reform is over.
We didn’t get into this mess suddenly and it will take some time to get out of it. Steps forward to fix things are still a positive even if they are not as big of steps as we would like.
I’ll believe it when I actually see it.
National Debt keeps going up.
Under Repubs and Trump.
Sooner or later Treasury Bond Auctions are going to fail. Then all hell will break loose. The amount of money we are borrowing to finance the national debt is astronomical (current interest expense is north of $600 billion).
That’s just junk change. Keep kicking the can down the road and print more money! That’ll fix it.
He found 175 billion of waste – great. Congress put 9 billion in the BBB. Seems a little light to me.
After Musk leaves town, we’ll see the size of appetite for cutting our Congress has to codify into law all the remaining savings.
If the glass gets to ‘1/2 full’ I’ll be stunned.
They want to push it off until mid terms so they can run on “you have to elect the Republicans so we can put all these cuts into law”, not realizing if they don’t start acting then they are going to get primary’d or Republicans just aren’t going to show.
That’s why they needed to act. If you are seriously going to cut $100 billion of waste from Medicaid, you are going to get killed politically one way or the other. Do it quickly and get it behind you.
Truthfully, as DE indicates, they don’t have the balls and that’s the problem. You simply cannot do things like this with out getting some mud on your paints.
They are corrupt, feckless pieces of trash that only care about themselves.
Dont just buy a Tesla because you feel bad for Musk…thats insane lol. Also as brilliant as he is, public speaking, and presence are not his MO. He’s definitely on the spectrum and it shows whenever he is in public (Chainsaw event anyone?). Id say his time at the WH is a net natural.
But he sure is fast counting spilled toothpicks……
Truly, the rain man of our generation….wait
Might be better than an electric golf cart like a lot of folks drive around here in.
Believe he has aspergers( spelling) but he is nonetheless brilliant.
Most brilliant people have some sort of social development issue. Its what enables them to be brilliant. If I lived where you did I would be in a cart 24/7 as long as things are with in distance. Or a side by side thats street legal.
Have you ever heard of MENSA? A patient this week was talking about it. I took their screening test online to see what it was like, out of curiosity.

Womens/Girls ‘Championship’ just to be clear.
Minnesota…√
Pathetic
Can we just take Minneapolis and push it somewhere else? The rest of MN is fine.
Agreed. Just the cities area seems to be the craziest (like many other states/places).
Yeah. That’s most states.
The larger cities dominant the entire State in most cases.
Why so many Canadian wildfires all the time? I don’t remember this all the time growing up. Some will blame climate change, I’m sure, but maybe I just didn’t hear about it when I was a kid?
Part of it is the access to news now and what stories get pushed to push the narrative. Overall, it’s felt like the fire seasons haven’t been as bad out here the last few years. A big part of the problem is also the mismanagement of the forests for the last 100-150 years. Too many decades of fire suppression no matter what, no logging, etc. The bark beetle is definitely hurting things in many parts of the west as well.
Wildfires have ALWAYS happened.
The biggest cause of Wildfires is lightning.
Arson or human stupidity is next.
Plus, more houses built in forests than before.
Plus, plus, idiots opposed control burns thus making naturally occurring fires more intense due to all the dead forest material that’s built up.
Yep.
That’s all inclusive human stupidity.
It’s the oil pipeline!
Climate change, warmer temperatures, drought conditions.
Government malpractice and forestry not clearing out dead underbrush in the case of CA.
That’s not the case in Canada. Back to your originally scheduled programming. Take a look at the OP question.
I highly doubt Climate Change is a valid reason.
Are you trying to say that the climate never changes? It has always changed. How do you explain this graphic at the time of the Ft. McMurray fires?
Obviously the fires heated everything up.
Agreed, the Climate has been changing ever since the earth got a climate.
Most of North American was once covered by over two miles of ice. Then guess what happened, the climate kept changing.
Seems gross and ridiculous, but quite frankly I’m surprised someone didn’t come up with it sooner.

They are talking about it on Fox right now.
Not my monkey, not my circus but The Teacher thinks it is disgusting.
Trump sucks.
Inflation has dropped to 2.1%
The woke will try to turn that into a bad thing.
It obviously shows that the economy is crashing, duh.
Well they did try to tell us that gas prices going down meant that there was less demand because the economy was so bad that no-one was using any gas.
So they do have ‘priors’.
You know what would hurt the Russian economy more than anything and make it hard for them to continue their “special military exercise” in Ukraine? Drill so much oil that it drops to $10 / barrel.
“Drill Baby Drill’.
F*** superstitions! Hug that Clarence Campbell trophy.
Oilers stepped up last night and put away the Stars 6-3 to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals second year in a row against the very same foe that beat them in 7 last year, the Florida Panthers…game 1 in Edmonton on Wednesday.
This is a special team, held Dallas to three shots in the third period in two consecutive games to hold the lead. Do they have what it takes to beat the Panthers? Maybe. Rare in the post expansion league for the same two teams to meet in consecutive years, rarer still for the same team to win both times.
I’ll say what has been working for me so far…Florida is a tough and deep team. I don’t know if the Oilers have what it takes to take the Cup. I wouldn’t bet on the Oilers to win the series.
That being said…
LFG OILERS!!!
——————————
PS after being sidelined with injury for over a month…the VIKING (Mattias Ekholm) returned to the lineup last night, and it was the shot he blocked that caromed out to center ice to allow McJeebus to score on a breakaway skating at 35 freaking km/hr to score the game winner…coincidence? I THINK NOT.
https://www.nhl.com/video/edm-dal-mcdavid-scores-goal-against-casey-desmith-6373632361112
I could watch this all day…
CANADIA ALERT!! Metric system is a ded giveaway.
It’s how they display it on the replays, even on the American broadcast.
It’s really easy to convert, though. First of all find a nice smooth ice rink and put on a pair of freshly sharpened skates. Taking baby steps, work on your technique for approximately 200 hours until you are able to confidently skate at speed in a straight line. Calculate your speed by the sound of the wind whistling in your ears and hair blowing back.
Now multiply that speed by three, add in hockey gear, put a stick in your hands, scuff up the ice surface, chase down a puck, and deal with a top 6 defenseman trying to hook and pry at you from behind with his stick, including trying to lift your stick. Once you have that down, all you have to do is flip the puck from your backhand to forehand to push it into the net between the pad of the goaltender and the goalpost…it would also be a good idea to not skate into the goalpost or crash head first into the end boards.
The rematch is going to happen. Looking forward to this series, should be a good one.
If you could just reach out to Mr. Marchand to remind him of his Halifax roots, if he could just subtly redirect a clearing attempt with his skate towards, say Draisaitl, alone in the faceoff circle in game 7 OT…
Florida – Let’s go Panthers!
They won last year, I’m rooting for the Oilers, this year.
Yes, I am a traitor…
Good.
It was expected but now one less thing to worry about.
i’m glad we did this.
I have been thinking about him and what my opinions are of him and what job he’s doing.
Ultimately the draft falls on his shoulders, but he relies heavily (as he should) on all his scouts and coaches on players in the draft. unless he goes against what they all want, it’s not like HE is the only one scouting and drafting….
But he has also done a phenomenal job of turning the organization around in all facets.
He can’t blame the trades he made in his first draft on scouts.
He can blame the players he picked on them, sure.
He has learned from that initial disaster and has turned the franchise into a perennial contender. He hired KOC and made the team stronger, deeper, more complete and with a bright future.
While I hope this becomes true, I don’t think this is currently true.
Year 1 – playoffs
Year 2 – No playoffs
Year 3 – playoffs.
0-2 in playoff games.
KAM gets the players and sets the table for KOC.
Once he has was the players it is on KOC to get results.
KAM turned the ship around and has given KOC a very good team.
KOC has had some success with a team going thru a ‘Competitive Rebuild’. Now we will see what he can do with a solid/deep team.
KAM can’t be blamed for KCs injury or for all the teams turnovers in year 2.
Tough business. First year they put together a 13 win season with bubble gum and no defense. Second year Cousins got hurt just as team was getting it’s act together. Last year, played a poor playoff game – it happens.
We’re there, just got to do it, but that easier said than done. Ask the Bills and Ravens.
I just don’t think the Vikings can be called perennial contenders. Yet.
Doesn’t matter the detailed circumstances.
For me, it’s being in the playoffs every year AND winning playoff games. If a team isn’t doing that, you are not a perennial contender. Just my standard.
You can have your definition and I can have mine.
I would call them a Good team and competitive.
The potential to be a perennial contender is there.
Not perennial contenders yet, but I would say they have a roster that should contend this year unless JJ is trash. I still think he is going to be better than Darnold. Maybe even this year, but Darnold played at his ceiling last year. If KOC thought Sam was better than JJ, then Sam would still be in Minnesota.
They ‘contended’ the last 3 years. They were derailed by KC’s injury one year. They are expected to ‘contend’ again this year and are looking good into the future.
I will stand by my definition of perennial contenders.
Getting embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs is not contending.
Say that to his face without knee guards on.
If you can put a team on the field that can compete with the best in the league every week you’re pretty solid. After that need some luck, good fortune with injuries and be playing your best football at the end of the season.
yes of course, i wasn’t absolving him of his mistakes. I am just admitting i judged him pretty hard for his 2022 draft year.
and he deserves criticism when it should be given.
that being said, i think he has done WAY more good than bad, for the team and complete organization
We agree.
1st draft was horri-bad and he deserved the largest part of the ‘blame pie’.
Since then he has improved the team and his drafts have gotten better, at least from what we can tell so far.
Absolutely.
Moving off of Kirko was perhaps his best move.
Now I have hope, but…
He let Kirko walk.
He deserves to be extended for that, even if his draft history is less than stellar.
Now he and coach are tied to JJ.
If I had to choose to tie my career to one of the two, I would pick JJ as well.
Every day of the week and twice on Tuesday.

In case anyone is wondering, it is Friday.

And Happy Friday?
Not in Japan.
Good morning, SKOL!

Saw a media thing that because of JJ’s arm strength he doesn’t “layer” the ball well to receivers. Not sure what to think, will see.
First his arm isn’t strong enough, now it’s too strong.
Media on all levels. Spin wheels. Suppose a reference on softness and not accuracy.
“The Vikings are making a mistake signing Sam Darnold.” – 2024 preseason national media narrative
”The Vikings are making a mistake not re-signing Sam Darnold.” – 2025 off-season national media narrative
LOL.
Plus, there is only one QB who can figure out KOC’s complex system….
SO much more likeable
Elon Musk helping Trump is bad.
Elon Musk leaving Trump is bad.
Gotta love how the media/dems play their games.
Turn the news off bro. This is what watching this crap 24/7 does to your brain. Our day to day aint changing
I don’t watch the “propaganda”.
It’s all online web news.
Have to live under a rock to NOT see this junk on a daily basis.
Hard to avoid, this partisan shit justs wears you. If something is done it’s usually half assed.
Correct.
Since most can’t tell you who the third President was or who their senators are, don’t believe many are suffering from information overload.
Im more so apathetic, it doesnt really matter whose in there at the end of the day. So I dont really care.
Then I live under a rock. I dont want any news, local or otherwise. Much happier.
Think Addison has a court appearance June 16. Not sure what league will do after. I like him, think he’s a great #2. He’ll want money soon but i worry he may do something stupid again.
I think we drafted his replacement already.
WR Tai Felton. Maryland | Senior. Round 3, Pick 102.
Yup, hope he gets a good look this summer.
He’s just in the wrong sport. Seems to like fast cars, probably should have been an Indy car driver.
You’d think he knows what’s at stake money wise but i;m not so sure.
Didn’t he exclaim “Let’s get paid” at the draft?
If the Purple resign him the contract should be highly stipulated. You eff up your done.
Also likely suspended three games this year.
Pre-Season times set.
Primetime @ Titans.
meanwhile, our world-class WR is working out, at OTA’s and solidifying a relationship with his new QB…
Goodness i’m glad diggs is gone
Diggs has gone down the toilet.
Money and fame sure bring out all the character issues.
and i’m not even talking about being on a boat with women etc…
it’s OTA’s, get there and show you are a good teammate.
Both are mental/moral issues about priorities.
Physically he is slowing down due to age and injuries.
*Unless it’s Tuesday and/or somebody younger has taken your job.
Not the brightest bulb in the drawer. JMO.
I think the “unknown” substance is just pop rocks.
No biggie.
Doesn’t everybody crush up and snort pop rocks when they’re on a boat?
They actually look a lot like the effervescent agent/”fizzies” we put in a small glass of water for patients to drink before an upper GI. The gas distends the esophagus and stomach making the barium coat better.
Wonder why Stefon would want to dilate the girls’ gullet?
dirty dirty mt viking
Snorting pop rocks sounds life threatening.
Repubs and Trump are idiots.
Get a mandate to cut spending, and they increase the debt even more.
Musk leaving.
Back to same old same old.
Dems win back the house and impeach Trump again in 2026.
And now federal judges are stopping Trump from using tariffs.
Hope is deflating sadly. Hopefully they can figure out how to turn it back around.
District Judges can only slow things down. The Supreme Court will decide the issues not activist judges that are overstepping their authority.
Not a ton of faith in the supreme court right now though either.
We’ll see.
The positive thing is that Americans in general want Trump to do what he’s trying to do. The elites in DC can only stop the general public for so long.
SCOTUS is all we have. If they allow the lower courts to tie DJT hands then I don’t know what the fix is. Nothing will ever get accomplished since both sides can find friendly judges to rule against doing anything.
Maybe the voters will vote in enough Reps willing to pass laws that change the rules but that would be a long term fix.
And that is why Roberts needs to put his foot down on this.
Problem Roberts will look at the Political Ramifications and look for a way to make both sides as happy as possible instead of following the law.
Another Bush decision that just keeps screwing us.
The judicial branch of government was never, ever supposed to have this kind of power.
Not sure how much of that is on Bush.
Roberts changed his stripes a bit after being appointed and became more political.
Well I’m also not to sure about Trump’s last appointee Barrett.
Yeah she seems to want to hang out with the ‘other ladies’ on the left side sometimes.
Bush is a traitor, wolf in sheep’s clothing.
We the people have zero power.
Unelected judges deciding policy.
Banana Republic stuff.
Amen
There is a choice between what is needed and what is possible.
Small majority in the House, not much better in the Senate.
More is needed but will see what the final bill looks like.
Hopefully they leave the Hearing Protection Act in the bill, but you know the wimps on the right will cave and get nothing in return.
The Democruds will find anything in the final bill they can and twist it to use it against Reps in 2026. If they want to be reelected and keep the majority then they have to be sensitive to that.
It is very complicated and while the final bill won’t be perfect it will be much better than doing the usual, aka nothing.
Indeed – what is needed and what is possible is the issue.
As we all know entitlements which exploded under Obama and Biden is the problem. Medicaid misuse is a huge problem but for whatever reason which I don’t understand, there was a small group of reps from rural red states that claimed with medicaid cuts their small rural hospitals would have to close. Those votes were needed to pass the bill.
And no one even addressed that we have over 50 million people on food stamps. That’s ridiculous.
And lastly, DOD has more waste than any federal department, yet they increased defense spending with no mandates for any kind of expense cutting.
I heard a discussion on ‘The Five’ yesterday.
The resident Lib said ‘millions will lose their healthcare due to the cuts in Medicare’.
Conservative replied ‘those millions are able bodied, young males, and illegal aliens so that is a false argument’.
The Liberal changed the subject.
Someone should ask – as one of the richest countries in the world with so many opportunities for employment, why do we have so many people on government funded medical programs and in need of food stamps?
As the economy grows and gets even stronger, the % of people on these programs is not decreasing but growing larger. There is a HUGE structural problem.
People are ‘gaming the system’ and living on the Gov Dime.
Obama opened the floodgates and CoVid turbocharged the system.
Now people think ‘why works when the Gov will give me money for doing nothing?’. The mindset needs to be changed and that will take awhile since they will play the ‘victim card’.
All the Momma Boys need to get out of the basement and go to work.
As I recall, and my memory is not always the best, 60 plus % of the new disability signups during the Obama administration were ” bad back or mental ” problems. What a sham.
The ‘Mental Problems’ are those that think it is ok to come up reasons that they can’t work, including thinking that their back is bad.
From the Medicaid standpoint…here is my unvarnished and uninformed opinion as it relates to my specific area of medicine.
I see it every day…people in their 20’s and 30’s show up on a Tuesday afternoon in the ED with a complaint like, “headache intermittently x 2months, significant weight loss/gain, intermittent nausea/vomiting or diarrhea.” These aren’t what I consider ED cases but I don’t run the ED, I am part of an ancillary arm (imaging) which is closely tied to the average ED encounter. The vast majority of these specific cases of young people with chronic complaints are covered by Medicaid. It is essentially an outpatient visit for which they have no financial responsibility. They have no motivation to make an appointment with primary care when they can just hit the ED and be seen without an appointment.
In terms of what to do with these patients, it is really up to the provider to decide what is an acceptable exam (required by law) prior to discharge from the ED. The vast majority of these encounters generate imaging.
The same problem occurs in Canada. It is to this day a common med school interview question, “To alleviate overcrowding in the ED, and discourage overutilization of emergency services, it has been proposed to require a $20 copay for all visits to the ED. Discuss the pros and cons of this proposal in your own words.”
Prior to the Medicaid expansion, the hospitals got to eat the cost of care for a fair amount of these patients. Post Medicaid expansion, they get paid for at least a significant portion of the cost of care.
Every cross sectional exam (say CT head, CT neck, CT chest/abdomen/pelvis), generates a technical and professional charge. The technical charge pays for the technologist time and scanner. Plus if the scans uncover significant pathology you can upcode the encounter fee, say for appendicitis or cancer.
Yesterday I had 16 CT CAP just here at my home facility, not counting the remote sites I read for. I bet a significant number were Medicaid.
You can see why rural hospitals want to keep expansion in place. More exams means more need for technologists means higher overhead.
TLDR,
So jumping to the conclusion ‘You can see why rural hospitals want to keep expansion in place. More exams means more need for technologists means higher overhead.’
Seems unsustainable long term. Better to keep throwing money at the problem until the country goes bankrupt. Fixing it is harder so lets not do that.
I’m all for fixing it. I just don’t know how. You are always going to have the risk of turning away a patient with a real emergent problem and that patient will become the poster child.
First of all you need to enact malpractice reform. Good luck with the legal lobby.
Good luck tonight MT. Get to finals how do you match up with FLA? Play them this year?
Really wish Hyman hadn’t gone down last game with the shoulder injury. Against a team like Florida you need someone aggressive on the forecheck, deliver hits, wear down the defensemen against the back boards. Plus he could stand in front of the crease on the PP and score points. Hard to replace a guy like that.
If they put away Dallas, Florida is going to be every bit as tough as last year. Don’t like our chances.
I think that you, I and everyone else wants to fix it.
Of course those with ‘skin in the game’ want it all fixed except for their part. There are people like that in every single part of it. So no matter what there will be people screaming that ‘The Fix’ is bad.
At some point the US will have to bite the bullet and make some tough choices. That is harder to do when opponents point out each and every possible negative.
I would guess just a $50 co-type pay would make a huge difference, maybe as little as $25.
You could probably go $10 and it would make a huge impact.
Do I spend $10 on a doctors visit, because I have a cough. Or, should I spend $10 on a pack of cigarettes that probably caused the cough.
Cigarettes it is.
You can’t fix stupid,
Had a solider tell me once when asked if he knew smoking would give him lung cancer eventually,
‘Well you have to die from something’.
We have a telemedicine thing at work that is free and is awesome. I’ve gotten antibiotics for my kids when they had an ear infection or pink eye, my wife was able to change a prescription when she had a bad reaction to one and it all costs me nothing, I don’t have to leave the house and it’s usually way quicker than going to the doctor. I was even able to get a prescription for a skin thing I have going on, all while at work, never setting foot in a doctor’s office and for free.
“skin thing” yeah sure
did the antibiotic take care of the herpegonosyphiliticus?
No antibiotics necessary, just a steroid cream if you must know and I’ve only had it for a couple days so no results yet.
Heh heh. Actually your post reminded me, I am going to call the pharmacy and see about getting some narcan and an epi pen to carry about with me.
Would say your opinion is pretty informed as well as insightful.
Slightly different, in the business world we handled this differently. For a period of time. we were having a rash of emergency room visits and our health care costs were rising rapidly. So, we put a $500 co-pay for those visits and most all the visits that could be handled thru regular doctor appointments quickly vanished.
Very much believe when people have a “stake’ in events they become a lot wiser.
‘Very much believe when people have a “stake’ in events they become a lot wiser.’
Rec for Truth!
People, like water, always find the way of least resistance.
A friend of mine worked as a salesman at a car dealership. Every year around harvest time, new model year releases, they would grill hotdogs for a customer appreciation day. People would show up in troves, some asking to take a few hotdogs for their husbands or kids “in the tractor”.
One year my friend suggested the charge 25 cents for the hotdogs, so they did. Just about no one showed up.
People will look for the best deal possible usually. Free is a better deal than 25c.
I think 25c is still a better deal than ‘no hotdog’. But I guess if you are getting 6 free hotdogs then $1.50 is beyond the pale.
Yep, I held out hope that things would change, but I expected this.
Twolves last night.
The Wolves were kittens?
That is quite the fall, right down past puppies.
I was looking for a wounded dog gif, but that’s likely considered too harsh or something for that choice.
T-Pups today?
I just had a Twinkie for the first time in a long, long time.
Man, the new version is moist. Feels like you could wring a shot glass of moisture out of it.
The Twinkies are doing better than expected but it is too early to say that they are ‘good’.
#grin
Brings back memories…when we lived in Germany (military brat) the squadrons would periodically send a group of pilots and their jets back to Canada for exercises…they would bring back some treats for their kids that weren’t available in Europe…delicacies like Hostess potato chips and Twinkies. I got to sample a small piece of a Twinkie for the one and only time in my life at about age 8. Let’s just say the process of being stuffed in the bottom of a duffel bag and jammed behind the seat in the tight cockpit of a CF-104 was not friendly to Twinkies.
JJ (QB) says he is ‘bigger, stronger, faster’ and looking forward to the season.

I am willing to be excited for this season. It is going to feel so fresh with a fresh QB.
Too bad two of the games are on a retard overseas time.
Maybe the NFL’s apology to us for that will be to finally let us go to the Super Bowl.
So you don’t like to watch football and drink beer at 8:30am?
I will check with the pastor. Maybe he will project the game on the wall instead of the song lyrics.
As for the beer, we’re Lutherans, so that should be fine.
Either go on Sat night or go twice one Sunday to make up for the lost Sundays
It’s early enough here you can watch the game, have a couple bloody mary’s and still make it to church.
That too. Game is over by 11:30 Central.
Just go to the 1pm service.
I can forgive them for two overseas games if we win them both.
At least they are ‘away games’ and don’t effect the number of our ‘home games’. Plus they are both winnable.

They likely will have more fans than the other team so almost turned two away games into home games.
We can rebuild him…
Crazy how an NBA team can beat another team in the playoffs by 40 and then lose by 30.
Almost like the NBA is more rigged than the NFL.

Feel bad for the Timberwolves. Two years in a row, failing just on the edge. How Minnesota of them.
I fear the T’wolves will be like the Pacers in the early 90’s. Good enough to win it all, but unable to get past the Thunder. Much like Reggie Miller and the Pacers, against MJ and the Bulls.
Or Josh Allen can’t get by Patrick and the Chiefs. And maybe Lamar and the Ravens too.
I do not know basketball well enough to understand why the Wolves were so outmatched. I just know they do not belong on the same court as the Thunder.
Maybe ANT will improve enough to make things more difficult for other teams, or maybe he becomes a “Free Throw merchant” since that seems to be what the NBA wants.
Top 3 players on OK certainly outplayed any 3 from the wolves.
I think the Thunder are pretty seamless defensively. They can basically switch everything without really getting any mismatches. Wolves couldn’t really break it down and then ended up with a lot of turnovers.
Thunder are young and have the most picks through 2031. Not good for Pups.
