Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
Merry Tuesday, everyone! Kiddo’s Christmas break came to an end as he’s back in school today, so now it’s back to work for me, too. I stayed home yesterday since he was still off school, and we went ice fishing. I’d much prefer ice fishing to working, but ice fishing doesn’t pay the bills, unfortunately.
My thoughts on the head coach terminations.
Pete Carroll: I’m not shocked, dude is old and it’s been a while since he’s been a top head coach. He should have hung it up a while ago. I do believe that any time a team fires a head coach after only a year, it means that the team did a crap job during the selection process.
Kevin Stefanski: The Deshaun Watson signing put the team in a bad position for multiple years. Getting rid of Baker Mayfield was obviously a dumb mistake. Only the Browns would be dumb enough to keep the guy who made the mistakes that prevented success, and fire a good employee instead. Stefanski did more with that team than most people could. The Browns are good at one thing: making poor decisions and NEVER learning from their mistakes. Stefanski is better off without that job, he’ll find something better.
Raheem Morris: I don’t know enough about that team, so I’m not sure if Morris is a bad head coach. I DO know that the GM screwed the pooch on multiple occasions, so letting him go seems like a good idea.
Jonathan Gannon: Meh, the Cards are not a great team, but Gannon has seemed to get less out of them than they’re capable of, so it’s probably best to move on and find someone who is a better fit.

- Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.
- Twitter sized version: Be cool to one another.
Seeing all the talk on twitter about Herbert or Lamar coming to the Vikings… yes that’s out there as an offseason potential… reminds me of this:

Let’s play Domino’s… shall we?
One strike in Venezuela → Maduro gone.
Next: Iran erupting in 100+ cities. Regime forces overwhelmed. Full revolution underway.
The chain reaction:→ China retreats from Western Hemisphere, gets paid, Taiwan stays safe.
→ Cheap U.S. oil crushes Russia → Putin forced to end Ukraine war.
→ Mullahs fall → Reza Pahlavi returns → Iran goes democratic, cuts terror funding (Hezbollah/Hamas starved), Middle East stabilizes.
→ 50 years of globalist control over America… shattered.
Venezuela → Iran → China → Russia → Ukraine → Taiwan → Middle East.
This is the ultimate domino strategy.
Also Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia, Panama, Mexico, and the rest of the South American continent is getting in line.
I have never seen anything like this in my life. Trump is reorganizing the planet to make America and the world safer, more secure, and more prosperous.

All those mountains in the sunshine state
An elderly couple walked into a McDonald’s and sat down at a table near some young people who were having dinner.
The old man approached the counter and placed an order for one meal. He returned, unwrapped the hamburger, carefully cut it in half, and placed one half in front of his wife. Then he gently counted out the fries and split them evenly between them.
He placed two straws into the soda and set it between them.
The old woman began to eat her half of the burger while the man just watched.
From time to time, he took a small sip of the drink, but he never touched the food.
People around them started to notice and looked on with quiet sympathy.
A young man approached and politely offered to buy them another meal so they wouldn’t have to share.
The woman smiled and said kindly, “Thank you, but we’re used to sharing everything.”
Still, the man hadn’t eaten a bite. He simply watched as his wife enjoyed her meal.
The young man returned and offered again.
This time, the old man responded, “Thank you, but we really do share everything.”
The young man paused for a moment, then asked:
“But sir… what are you waiting for?”
The old man smiled and said:
“The teeth.”
Did you get a joke book for Christmas or some such???
No, I see these on twitter and if they make me laugh, I post them occasionally. Got to keep folks laughing.
This would be a massive strategic move. Don’t know how this would work… who gets the money that the U.S. spends to buy a country? The citizens? Dunno. Fascinating situation.
Hmmmm violating federal discrimination laws? How about a massive lawsuit up her ass?
Is’nt that the one that had to resign/withdraw from the NYC team based on her old tweets??
Yes, she had to resign the day after she was appointed… after old social media history, including antisemitic tropes like labeling Jews “money hungry” and mocking Orthodox customs, were discovered. This post highlights a provocative quote from her, after Mamdani appointed her as Director of Appointments for New York City, stating “It’s important that white people feel defeated,” amid her December 2025 announcement.

Hopefully he misses less tackles than Pace does.
Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Jaylon Hutchings has signed a 2026 NFL futures contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
He’s very decent!
This is how we found Redmon. Our GM is very good at this and UDFA selections
Big Run Stuffer I hope.
Heard that a key issue in the John Harbaugh dismissal, according to those familiar with today’s discussions, was his refusal to entertain any conversations about potentially moving on from offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
He was no Ben Johnson…
Too bad, I was hoping they would keep him.
I’m a little surprised about Harbaugh being fired by the Ravens, but it happens in the NFL. He had a good run, with a lot of winning seasons.
Giants are already setting up an interview with him.
Harbaugh out in Baltimore…..
wow. 18 years as head coach
15 winning seasons and a Super Bowl win.
That’s a stunner unless he wanted out as well. Maybe he’s interested in going back to his coordinator roots for another team in purple.
Stunning to some….

Does he do defense well? Coach Flo replacement if he moves on??
Harbaugh cut his teeth as a ST coordinator before HC, zero chance he’s going back to any non HC position
A boy can dream.
Ok, fire Matt Daniels, hire harbaugh, win SB!
Dreaming Big, I like it.
‘Dreaming Big’, TWSS before anyone else calls it.
You should probably stop teasing Mjolner.
That seems crazy to me.
My guess is that he has an issue with his QB, and the QB is making bank, so the ownership is pandering to the QB.
🤯
Over the last 5 years, the Vikings have the 3rd best record in the NFC.
And zero playoff wins
If you take out our worst seasons, we are the best team in the NFL!
Thank goodness the off season last seven months. It’s going to take that long to get the taste of this horrific season out of my mouth.
Go down to the BCI in Savage, get some good taste in your mouth.
sex tape
But QB stats were great from ‘21-‘23.
Thats all that matters.
Beat the Saints in a playoff game, right?
Not in the last 3 years.
That was over 5 years ago

Why do bills & bengals have 1 fewer game?

Damar Hamlin game – game was never really played. Think it may have went down as a tie in the books. Can’t remember exactly
Jan 2, 2023… Safety Damar Hamlin made a tackle on Tee Higgins and collapsed. He went into cardiac arrest. CPR was used to get his heart beating again. He was rushed to the hospital and survived. The event happened with about 5 minutes left in the first quarter. The Bengals were up 7-3. The game was initially suspended, then canceled later that week.

TL;DR Kirk still gets paid
Some “experts” are saying that Kirk is gone because of it.
Might be. But what if Stefanski wants Kirko if he is the coach?
It doesn’t change anything for Kirk’s money but gives Atlanta a little more flexibility, either way, stefanski probably has some options as far as where he goes next, if he doesn’t want Kirk or penis he may go elsewhere
It most certainly does if Kirk is on the roster March 13th.
Kirk gets paid no matter what
I guess I’m thick, but I don’t get the math on this, other than putting the team in a better cap situation for 2026. That $67.9M price tag in 2027 is off the charts.
My guess is that maybe Stefanski is in the running and they do void years if the new coach and GM want Kirk.,
Kick the can down the road.
So I saw this…
While Cousins and the Falcons — who are undergoing a search for a new general manager and head coach — could agree to another amended deal to keep him with Atlanta, one logical possibility posited by salary cap experts is the team moving on from Cousins before March 13 via a post-June 1 release.
Such a release would split the dead money on Cousins’ contract over the 2026 and 2027 league years, as opposed to the team taking on the full amount in 2026, while also creating cap flexibility for Atlanta on June 2. Additionally, by agreeing to reduce Cousins’ base salary for the 2026 year, the Falcons create more cap flexibility right away, as his cap charge dropped immediately.
Reading that makes me think that the Falcons asked Cousins to work with them to give them cap space, while setting him up to be released.
Kirk back to the Vikings?
Laughing… never.
Kirk still sucks
Hits just keep on coming!!!
We are finally getting into the 2.50-$2.60 range here. It took awhile to start to drop but it has been pretty steady the last few weeks.

There’s a mule?jackass? farm about 30 miles north of here – they sell them to farms to be used to protect livestock from coyotes.

but i’m somewhat drawn to this new movie coming out called Primate. I don’t mind if animals make a movie scary. if it were a demented clown, or possessed children, i’m out…
but psycho monkey? i think i want to see it
You should get an old Super Nintendo and play Primal Rage if you want to see a psycho monkey
this can’t be real
Seriously, you never played that game? Chaos was the Monkey that could fart cloud you to death and piss you into oblivion, it was actually a pretty fun game
LOL no i never played that game.
i actually never played video games growing up, and it looks like i really didn’t miss out.
It was pretty fun, like mortal combat but with deranged monkey, dinosaur, etc. I remember being a bit shocked about the fart cloud
Meant to post this yesterday, but for VP

Regarding the HC firings so far:
None were really surprising, but the common denominator for pretty much all of them was no long term solution at QB. I also think Carroll is old and needed to retire a while ago, Morris sucked but his GM signing Kurt to a massive contract and then using pick #8 on a QB didn’t help at all since one is old coming off injury and the other couldn’t stay healthy in college and shockingly had a serious injury his first year as a starter, Gannon did about what you’d expect with their level of talent and midget clown QB, Stefanski is the best of those fired, how he managed to drag that shitbox franchise in Cleveland to a playoff win is a a mystery and he’ll likely be the top candidate for other open jobs. Daboll mostly sucked other than one season where Danny Dimes stayed healthy and they won a playoff game but otherwise they were terrible. wonder if he goes back to Buffalo.
Wake me when KOC gets the boot.
Going into Hibernation? A Cryo Chamber??
Gonna be a while, he isn’t the savant people want to make him out to be, but he’s also not a bad HC, I think he’d be best served to bring in a legit OC, like Daboll or someone and let them call plays and run the offense.
Neither he or KAM will be fired this year, a least one more year to get the QB situation out. Then if they can’t their seats will warm up considerably.
They managed to go 9-8 with a poopoo platter of unprepared JJ, broke ass Wentz, and lol Max Brosmer. If JJ continues to improve KOC will be fine, they’re futures are pretty much linked. KAM is different, he’s not done a great job filling out the roster, some good moves, but the bad ones are just so bad its hard to see past them.
Don’t tell me the team finished better than .500 cuz they are awesome, those last two games our opponents wanted us to win.
Who said they’re awesome? How they even finished around .500 is crazy considering how bad qb play was.
Detroit wanted us to win? To knock them out of the playoffs?
They would have been 10-7 and ahead of FTPs.
Yes.

Advice to all you young folk out tbete. Max out your 401Ks yearly, stick it all in stocks. When market drops 25%, ignore it and ride the wave. Start balancing the portfolio around age 50. When you are 60, you can retire and not worry
Just invest everything in Gamestop
I was late to the party and didn’t have a employer that offered a 401 type plan until I got the prison. Luckily I made enough a to close the gap. Now as a Triple Dipper I am sitting fine.
The Teacher got a late start, part of the reason we had to wait for a few years before she could retire and we could move to Idaho.
I’m kind of like that big old water buffalo that died and now the carcass is being picked clean. I started out in a blend fund with the 403(b) and then after 10 years of saving dick while I re-educated I did the old Boglehead three fund simple portfolio in addition to maxing out the 403, 457, and IRA.
My wife wants me to retire at 62 (5 1/2 years), that is going to be hard to me. But the circling carrion eaters at Fidelity offered to put me into their wealth advisory team and take care of balancing and rebalancing all the retirement and non retirement funds in our lives as long as I wet their beak for a 0.8% cut, and I took it as it was taking more and more time to keep track of everything. Now they have all my equities in stocks, as in I own exclusively stocks and not mutual funds, so there is no going back until my bones are picked clean.
Did you work on mjolnir?
Good advice.
Take it from a 62 year old that did not do that and now has to work until at least 70 playing catch up…
At least I can contribute more since I am old….
Laughing…
Update on Madison:
Still comatose. Inter cranial pressure spiked to pretty dangerous levels but have subsided. Her numbers are getting better. Hoping for an MRI this week if she continues to improve. No word on what brain damage may be in play.
I went to see her last week, barely got in the door before breaking down. She’s a tough kid from tough stock, but the road ahead will be long and winding.
My soon to be ex also went to see her and had the same reaction – but it comforted me to no end that she was there, offering support.
This life is damn funny and nothing less than complicated.
I’ve informed my sister of all the prayers and well wishes from yall. Was hard for her to understand the concept of this place and what we do here but she was overwhelmed by the thought of a bunch of strangers, people she’s never laid eyes on, taking it upon themselves to pray and keep Madison in their thoughts. The last few weeks has brought a lot of shed tears, those were tears of comfort.
Thanks to all of you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Skol!
We are all here, and all in your corner. Madison is in our prayers every day. BTW, I mentioned this to my wife, and she has passed the word to dozens of her friends and clients who are also praying for you and Madison. My brother is a devout Christian (in Fairhope AL) and he has his church including her in their prayers too.
Genuinely appreciate that NVF….
🙏🏻
Perhaps she has turned a corner with a positive path forward.
Sometimes wonder how much prayer helps. But then remember a line from an old book talking about the soldiers on Bataan when the Japanese attacked – ” There are no atheists in the foxholes.”
Will keep praying and all the best for your family.
Praying for Madison.
I hope and will pray that she recovers, also sorry to hear of your relationship situation.
Thanks man – my marriage failing will forever be the rock I push up the hill.
appreciate the thoughts for my niece.
Yeah, my divorce will be finalized any day now, it just sucks.
Very sorry to hear man. My heart goes out to you. Y’all have young kids – can’t imagine how tough that is.
Been hard enough to have Goose only part time. Can’t imagine your situation.
After going thru mine I equated divorce as ‘running thru a maze blindfolded with your hair on fire’. At least that is how mine felt to me.
Had to go thru it to start the healing, kind of like getting a tooth pulled.
Yeah, its not fun, over the holidays I was watching christmas movies and a quote from this shitty Ben Affleck film “surviving Christmas” kind of struck a tone, his fake mom and dad are about to get a real divorce and she says essentially, Mommies and Daddies fall in love, get married, make babies, deal with the realities of life, and then stop getting it on.
Its pretty accurate for me at least, met my wife, did all kinds of fun shit like concerts, ballgames, festivals, etc, got married, bumped uglies without protection, had baby, bumped uglies on schedule for another baby, then started bumping uglies less and less as life became more consumed by work and children for both. Resentment and frustration starts setting in and you both hardly recognize in eachother the person you fell in love with and you realize one day you are just two people raising children and not a couple anymore.
I’m so sorry man. Hopefully the healing will begin soon.
I did not know this, when you had talked about her in the past you sounded happy. Sorry, buddy.
I hear you man. I got divorved 25 years ago, the next year the ex gets cancer, the next year she dies. Yes, it still burdens me.
Hang in there
I still go thru my divorce still, wondering what I could have done better. My kids and I have worked it out after some rocky parts so that helps.
It’s odd. No infidelity. No abuse – not that I should be rewarded for those things, I shouldn’t. No man should. Should be a given that I won’t cheat on or beat my wife.
13 years difference. Lots of things contributed to this. We grew apart.
Still love her very much. She still loves me. We have coffee once a week. I can pick up Goose whenever I want. It’s amicable – which also makes it tougher.
Be a lot easier if we hated each other. We don’t. Just different people than we were 12 years ago.
It’s amazing the number of “best friends” you can go through in a lifetime as you change, then some people don’t understand how you and a spouse can grow apart over the years.
I count my blessings I didn’t have children with my first 2 wives, back when I was young and stupid and shouldn’t have been married in the first place……
I don’t know the story but wish her well.
Madison and her sister were T-boned in traffic in West Omaha the day after Christmas.
Sister walked away with a broken nose and concussion.
Madison was the passenger and took the brunt of the impact. She’s been in a coma since. Lots of complications early – got the wrong blood type given to her by hospital staff, which I’ve never heard of.
Theres been improvement, but still a long road ahead.
Appreciate the well wishes.
I did not know this. Sorry, man. Prayers…
That’s just awful. So sorry. Madison is…niece? daughter?
Wrong blood type? Something like she was given O+ in a crash resuscitation scenario when she is Rh negative? ABO incompatible transfusion, I have not heard of that happening since the 70’s…that would be really bad.
GMC almost did this a few years back. They issued the wrong blood type, luckily the patient ended up not needing the transfusion. Failure to follow procedure by multiple departments almost ended in disaster.
My Niece. My sister’s step daughter. 17 – I’ve known her since she was 4.
Prayers continue 🙏🙏🙏
Anyone else spend 3 hours in the ER last night getting 6 needles into their c***?
Just me? Cool.
The story:
I suffer from migraines. Have most of my life. Mostly stress induced and the last 18 months has been chock full of that. So I routinely take a sleep med to get good rest. I take trazadone. Worked for a long time.
As most of you know, I’m also an avid cannabis user.
Did you know that the combination of trazadone and cannabis can cause priapism? I didn’t. I do now. More than ever do I know.
Feel free to look up priapism and after you stop laughing, continue reading…..
So yesterday morning I woke up at my usual 515 with an absolute raging boner – could pound nails with this thing. Also woke with a migraine – vision was blurry and my head was pounding. So I called in. Took a migraine medicine and 1/2 dose of trazadone and went back to sleep.
Woke a few hours later….. massive rager again. Aching. Painful. Could lay on my back and use it to play horseshoes. Try an ice pack on the gooch – nothing. Ice pack on my shaft – nothing. Now it’s still a rager but it’s just cold. So I get on Dr. Google and he says ‘go to the ER stupid’ So I go in. Get lucky. Not busy and they get me in right away.
And of course the check in nurse was 6 flavors of hot. Whatever. I told her right away ‘pretty sure I’ve got a priapism brought on by trazadone’ She was awesome. Got me in right away.
So the doc comes in, takes a look. Immediately nods in agreement with my assessment (med school really is a waste of time with internet) and tells me a couple of shots should clear it up.
Shots. Plural. Needles. In my d***
So 3 rounds of shots, 2 shots per round, 6 shots total and…..
And thank god it worked. If the 3rd round hadn’t worked there was all sorts of terrifying stuff that was next on the docket.
I hope this story was uplifting and gets yall thru the day.
🔨 🔨 🔨
I did not know that, when I think of the combo of those two meds I think of serotonin syndrome.
It’s a real thing. Rare as I understand it. So I guess I’m special. Long damn day – I can tell you that.
Ummmm… wow.
Never happen to you in battle?
Laughing… been in two helicopter crashes, hit by an RPG blast, several IED’s, and of course small arms fire. Never had this kind of issue.
Could you imagine running full force at the enemy in that condition? Lol….
Laughing… no… I think it would be a major hinderance…
LOL
the enemy: “why is that guy running with such a wide gait”
Feels like a cult of personality story.
Like North Korea state media announcing:
’And the supreme leader scared away the enemy with nothing more than his manhood….’
Do it without pants on and they’d run away thinking you were going to treat them like the muslims treat donkeys.
“man, a guy seeks some solace from the loneliness in the desert one time, and they never let you live it down”
BTW you win the post of the week award.
Is the prize six shots to the dong?
I’m good.
Haha. I’m assuming they used a combo of aspiration and phenylephrine?
Sure. I think you’re correct. Was saline of some sort?
Was the ‘hot nurse’ impressed with your raging boner??
Did you get her number??
I did not get her number.
I did hear her to say ‘good luck’ which scared the shit out of me.
So she was hoping that you ‘got lucky’??
If she’s been working in the ER for more than a few months, she has seen it all and then some, I doubt anything would faze her.
If not fazed, then we know Mjolnir isn’t that impressive.
She actually before saying ‘Magnificent!’……
* after
Yup. Nurses are battle tested. Did make the ER cop laugh when I said I spent the last hour breaking crackers with it…..
Thanks Mjolnir! This educated me and also made me laugh and wince at the same time.
Reminded me of “Love and other drugs” scene.
Guessing you are done with Trazadone?
That’s a big 10-4 good buddy….
I am anxiously awaiting the opening (Finally) of a dispensary near my house.
Nice. I’ve been traveling to Missouri as of late. I’ve got about 6 plants at my dad’s that’ll go to harvest by the end of January hopefully. That’ll be my summer bud.
I mean, if that helps with the migraines, you could always cut the other half of that equation.
Actually hopefully the opposite, but thanks.
How do you feel being the “you would not believe what somebody came to the ER with today” story of the day for that ER?
I guess the priapism thing is pretty common. Uncommon in how I got there. But not new to them.
Ah, ok. That’s….good…I guess?
I don’t know if it’s good or bad. I guess I’m not alone.
That’s the good part
Spinal injuries can also cause priapism.
Learned that in EMT class.
Dude, you have the best stories. I hope tomorrow you don’t have such a hard day.
I’m dying…… best response right there.
‘I’m Dying’
Doc Holidays response to Wyatt Earp in Tombstone.
Val Kilmer was amazing in that movie/roll.
“I’m ya huckleberry…..”
“Why Johnny Tyler! Madcap! Where ya going with that shotgun?”
Fun fact: Johnny Tyler was played by Billy Bob Thornton – one of his first movie roles.
I didn’t recognize him the first few times I saw it. He was quite a bit chubbier then. Quite slender in ‘The Alamo’ and latter on.
Yeah, he was fat back then, he played a Pansy well though
Played a typical bully. Acted/talked tough until he came up against Wyatt.
Great movie
Indeed it is.
Also features a young Dana Delaney….
She does ‘look nice’ in that movie.
That was great! I enjoyed it immensely!
Granted, it sucked for you…but it is a funny story after the fact!
Was more the actual thinking about what they had to do that freaked me out. It wasn’t painless. But not as bad as I thought. When I asked if there was a numbing agent the doctor just smiled and said ‘well no, because that would be another shot’
Made me feel pretty dumb – which tracks.
The next procedure if the shots didn’t work involved something being inserted into the shaft.
Thats the lord showing you he has a sense of humor lol. WOW what a day.
Kind of thought the same thing. Brunette. Sleeve tattoo. Faint hint of daddy issues.
Hot. Likely also crazy.
Where does she land on the scale is the question though.

‘Hot. Likely also crazy’
Obviously.
They go hand in hand.
The hot part isn’t necessary, just the lack of a Y chromosome.
True, it is just more prominent in the hot, ‘Pretty Privilege’ is a thing.
Hell yeah dude, throw my # her way. I might have a type…lol
i’m picturing this as you at the ER
2nd best response. That line actually went thru my head when I was leaving…..
WOW, that’s better than the “square needle in the left testicle” story passed around in basic training.
Hope your recovery is swift. Keep a stiff upper lip!
I can only think of Real Genius
This was my buddies response in my group chat with my high school friends. Was giving them real time updates.
Ouch. Kick the pot….things will improve
I don’t think the pot was the issue. Been a regular cannabis smoker for almost 30 years.
Doc pretty sure it was the combo of the sleep meds (trazadone) combined with the pot use.
Sleep meds gone. I’ll just smoke the pot to get to sleep.
Question, when you guys are on the phone (in particular) or elsewhere, saying goodbye, do you say, “mmmbye”? I’m wondering if it is a local dialect thing, I’ve started noticing it a lot when I get calls from the region.
My nephew when he was first in HS was talking to a classmate on the phone. He had pretty much only talked to family members on the phone previously. When they were done he said (as was his habit) ‘Love you, bye’.
Once he realized what he said and who he said it to he was mortified. He didn’t even want to go to school the next day. The classmate never mentioned it and might not have even noticed so it all ended well.
I usually say ‘bye’ on a business call.
I usually say bye bye on office calls – to clients. If it’s inter office I’m a lot less formal.
I’ve never said mmmbye in my life
Can’t say I’ve heard that in western WI. What’s becoming alarming though is the use of “kinda.”
I kinda want to go to town and kinda see a movie. We kinda should ask Bob if he wants to join us.
It’s kinda annoying, and I kinda want everyone to stop.
this is how i say goodbye, always
Tombstone Rec.
Redskins parted ways with their OC (Kliff Kingsbury) as he wants to pursue other opportunities, and fired their DC.
Defense was terrible and many thought Kingsbury’s play calling was a factor in getting his QB’s hurt.
So not surprised.
The Lions lost both their OC and DC this season and I think we saw how that worked out.
Starting over on both sides of the ball is likely gonna be a problem.
UN judge Lydia Mugambe, a human rights advocate, has been convicted for modern slavery after exploiting a Ugandan domestic worker as an unpaid housekeeper in the UK.
Mugambe, also a Ugandan High Court judge and Columbia University fellow, received a two-year sentence for immigration fraud and forced labor. Despicable that this elitist lefty has held such high positions while violating the laws she was supposedly enforcing.
She is a Woke, Person of Color so she is allowed, even celebrated, for ignoring the ‘White Mans Laws’ and owning her own slave.
It will make more Lib/Woke Heads Explode therefore I love it.
LOL!!
I bought this 24 pound piece of beef yesterday for $4.39 a pound yesterday.
Now I am checking YouTube videos for how to butcher it and sharpening my knifes.
Thinking it will go along way to filling that small freezer we got last month.
https://www.chefstore.com/p/boneless-beef-top-inside-round_9766563/
I been buying cheap beef cuts and cutting them into steak shapes since steak is so expensive. They are good enough. Beef is beef to me. It is kind of a hard meat to go wrong with. It is pretty tasty every which way.
Grinding your own sausage/burger is great too. I haven’t done beef since I usually have a bunch of game, but I’ve been catching pork butts on sale the last couple of years and making sausage. You can catch pork butts on sale for like $1-$1.5 a pound and it’s about the perfect fat content. I’ve probably made over 100 pounds of breakfast sausage and 50 pounds of brats over the last year and a half, not including wild game.
We got a grinder attachment for her Kitchen Aide mixer. It should be fine for a few pounds of hamburger at a time.
I get leg of lamb on sale, and we grind it with the old kitchen maid.we do 3 types of cuts….rough for lamb stews coarse for shepards pie and fine because wifey loves lamb burgers on the grill.
I have not seen lamb for sale much around here, but then I have not been looking either.
Back in SoCal it was a ‘specialty item’ like duck or pheasant. Quite pricy, never on sale.
The only duck or pheasant you can eat (at least in Montana) is farm raised fowl. It is illegal to sell game animal meat.
It was in a chain grocery store so I assumed farmed raised.
Never got to taste it so I don’t know how fowl it was. #grin
I have been eating my fair share of pork lately, too. I can eat it plain with mustard, but it works well for finessing up, too. I am always a bit afraid to undercook it, though, because of the whole trichinosis, thing.
I’ve been living off cheeseburgers at work since I discovered I can just microwave raw hamburger meat and have a hamburger patty in 90 seconds. Yeah, it doesn’t have that char taste, but I don’t really care. To me, a cheeseburger is the sum of its parts, not just the burger. Throw it on a bun with cheese, pickles, ketchup and mustard, and it is fine.
I have microwaved beef before, but I really, Really like the Maillard reaction from cooking on a griddle/skillet/Grill.
Trichinosis isn’t really a concern this day and age unless you’re eating bear. Eating pork medium pink is perfectly fine.
Good to know!
And pork is so much better a bit pink
Yes.
I could not do it. Gross.
Tinge of pink, not red like a steak. I actually have refused to go to Outback Steakhouse for about 10 years because the last time I was there I got a pork chop. It came out raw. Not pink or red, totally raw. I think I sent it back 3 times before I finally just told them I didn’t want it.
Out here in the sticks we are lucky if we even can find a restaurant open most days. Has done wonders for my health. We went to this sketchy China Food place here in our one-horse town that people rave about on FB couple of weeks before Christmas, although I was a little concerned I’d get dog tapeworm or the like. I’ll never know how good it is as when we went in they said in their best Chinese accent “we only take out…if you want you not get food for two owah, we vewwy busy”.
How do you catch a pork butt? Sounds like something I don’t want to know.
Yeah I don’t have ‘sophisticated’ tastes either.
The Teacher is learning that more expensive stuff that she grew up using does not equal better.
I love his digs at Packer fans in that show.
For sure and this episode is pretty funny.
Great show. Marshall Erickson was the best character by far.
Episode where his dad dies is a heartbreaker. His old man was played by Bill Faggerbakke – he of SpongeBob fame. Also played Dauber in Coach – another great show with Minnesota ties.
Yeah. Did you notice the countdown in that episode? The episode at his funeral was a tough one too.
I did not notice the countdown. I’m about to restart the series as now I want to watch it.
There’s a hidden countdown through the whole episode that hits zero when Lilly (or was it Marshall?) gets out of the cab.
I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that
Better go watch it again.
I’m not ashamed to admit that that episode makes me cry.
The facemask with no repurcussions on the blocked XP still boggles my mind. That makes no sense.
After coming close the last few years, the Cats finally won the big one. I have faith the Vikings can do it too. Not ready to throw JJ out yet and it’s definitely too early to call him a bust. If he doesn’t stay healthy next year, then you might be able to start convincing me.
‘the Cats finally won the big one’
They won one before in 1984.
Of course we won in I969 after the 1968 season. So the comparison is still valid IMHO.
That was before my time and for a long time, MSU didn’t even think about the playoffs. They were “the other Montana team”. The change has been incredible and watching Griz fans crash out this morning realizing they really are the little brother now has been great. I will probably get some Tacos for lunch today in celebration of the Billings boy winning it last night.
JJ McCarthy wins week 18 Angry Runs on GMFB…..
so there’s that.
Yeah… that’s great…
it’s good to know he’s learning his lesson about being careful about contact, as he realizes how injury prone he’s been………………….
that was a STUPID play by him
Yep, his thoughts about how tough he is do not align with reality.
He is more like ‘Chicken Hawk’? More heart than physical toughness.
Remember that Fridays episode where Shatner hosted, they did a Star Trek skit where he over-reacted in pain to even the slightest touch?
Heard on the radio this morning:
“Nine” is JJ McCarthy’s alter-ego that comes out when he plays football.
It’s ALSO the German answer to “Will JJ ever play 3 consecutive games without injuring himself?”. NEIN!!!
He’s a joke and we fans are the punch line.
Just a temporary test to weed out the fair weather fans. He will go on a Favre-esque run of consistency.
She lies so easily… it’s galling…
But the lies get her clicks and donations.
So that makes it ok.
They still pumping out that January 6th bologna?
The left has made our society ridiculous in the extreme…
Woke:
‘Born Stupid and have been practicing all of their lives’.
It’s funny that they even have that policy because x-rays are “so safe” now…
They give you the “it’s the same amount of radiation as a banana in the sun for 2 minutes” BS
Yeah that’s a bullshit statement all right, by you. Look up ALARA and complete six years of training beyond medical school and you and I can discuss.
Haha okay. Ionizing penetrating radiation is the same as UV light. Sure.
I don’t know what you are saying. Perhaps you’re being sarcastic.
No, I’m saying that the UV light comparison to x-ray radiation is a false equivalency meant to disarm people into thinking it’s okay to get endless x-rays for any reason. Perhaps it is the same amount of radiation, but penetrating radiation has more risk than UV light.
With how dentists and medical providers downplay the safety of x-rays, it surprises me that they somehow care so much about safety if people are pregnant, but yet I have to ask for a lead vest and thyroid guard if I am getting x-rays because they don’t automatically take precautions for me, my thyroid, or my gonads. And providers often order x-rays for anything – you come in with a cold? I think you need about 3 chest x-rays. Throwing up? Better do some x-rays. Even other industries like the airport? X-ray you every time you fly, NBD. As a whole, I wish people would be more careful about the impacts of harmful radiation and not downplay it.
Well, if someone is actually saying the words, “this study is the equivalent dose that a banana receives for two minutes in direct sunlight” then you should say, “you’re a fucking idiot” and walk away. Now if someone says as I do, “a PA/lat CXR is an effective dose of 0.04 mSV which is the same as approximately 4 days of natural background radiation at our elevation in Montana” that is a fact.
I wondered if you were engaging in hyperbole with the UV comparison, because if true it is a dumb statement.
I don’t know of any medical provider or dentist that downplays the dangers of ionizing radiation. They may say that the risks of such and such study to little Johnny are small compared to the benefits of knowing whether he has pyelonephritis. I know a lot of medical providers, as in hundreds, but of course I don’t know what they say in the privacy of the patient room.
A pregnant patient is a special case because the fetus has cells that are rapidly dividing and the fetus cannot consent to the radiation, unlike an adult. A first trimester fetus is nearly all or none, in that the absorbed dose will either abort the fetus or cause no significant mutations.
If you do want to know the truth about the lead vest and the thyroid guard and the gonad shielding they are generally no longer recommended. I know that when I get those little bite wing x-rays at the dentist they lay a vest on me, the reality is the risk of me catching cooties from that vest is greater than any possible benefit of avoiding radiation exposure to my chest because a) the beam is tightly collimated and b) the dose is so miniscule it is like wearing a suit of armor to carry a sack of flour.
If the thyroid shield or gonad shield would happen to be insisted on by a patient for an exam like a chest x-ray or abdominal x-ray I would in turn counsel them that a) the automatic exposure control would ramp up the mAs and kVp because of the reduced incident rays upon the digital film giving you about 10x the effective dose and b) obscure potential pathology in your lower neck or pelvis, for example. Much of the absorbed scatter dose actually comes from x-rays reflected by your biological structures, not from the incident beam.
As for the explosion of medical diagnostic imaging, you are preaching to the choir, but the facts are that any new providers cannot function without it and that the benefits of rapid diagnosis have completely altered the nature of medical treatment. Diagnostic laparoscopy for suspected appendicitis without a CT? Doesn’t happen. Hand out morphine for a kidney stone without a CT? Doesn’t happen. Got a cough? Chest x-ray normal? Don’t need antibiotics which reduces the development of resistant strains.
You are welcome to refuse diagnostic imaging. Might not lead to the desired outcome but you can certainly refuse. Me? A couple of times when I’ve felt prickly I’ve insisted on a pat down at the airport, no big deal, otherwise I just go through the scanner, shit I’m going to get more exposure at 30,000 feet for five hours. As for diagnostic x-rays or CT, with my many many hours of training and ongoing education I would absolutely not want to be shielded.
Thus concludes the MT style vignette of the day.
I haven’t read your whole reply yet, but just to reply to the first couple statements and clarify: I have heard the banana statement countless times. Clearly there are educating bodies promoting that BS, which was one of my points.
I asked AI for the whole banana and exposure story, must be a dental school thing.
It’s funny because I’ve heard it several times as “a banana in the sunlight for 2 minutes” not “eating a few bananas” or “being in the sunlight for several minutes”. People must be combining the two things.
Also, I’ve heard it from non-dental places.
I would say that I’ve had exactly zero times in my life where I was told or warned about the concerns with radiation exposure with x-rays (I had to bring it up or ask). From providers or otherwise. It is always downplayed, from my experience, and it shouldn’t be. Which is why it surprises me the statement about screening females (esp. non-females) for pregnancy is a big deal (and don’t get me wrong, it should be a big deal to avoid that issue).
It makes sense…different policies at different hospitals. The policy at the hospitals I cover (since I am the RSO for those shops) is to ask any woman between the ages of 12 and 60 if there is any possibility of being pregnant and if there is a question wait for a pregnancy test. With that policy, we have done CT’s on a couple of early pregnancies. Therefore, I can see a more restrictive policy insisting all women of childbearing age have a pregnancy test, if you want to avoid that scenario. Since a transgender woman lists gender as female, there you go.
The NFC and AFC are wide open imo. Am I wrong in feeling that if we retained Darnold this year we would be a superbowl contender…… to bad we will never know.
No, I think you are quite right and voiced the same thought yesterday – with Darnold we would have been a serious contender.
Let’s see how he does in the playoffs. I like Sammy, but the knock after last year was ability in a big game.
Perhaps he will. But I’d rather be there competing right now than sitting at home with the season over. And it’s actually been over for us for over a month.
But we can’t evaluate Sam until it’s done.
Many of us said last year that we’re tired of being “good” but not getting to the Super Bowl much less winning it. Many wanted “that guy” who was clutch and could make us ascend.
What will you say if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl? Even without that, the Seahawks offense this year was darn good, the team won 14 games, and they are the #1 seed in the playoffs. Sam contributed to this with really solid play. In the playoffs we’ll see what shakes out, but there is no denying that two years in a row, Sam played very well.
For sure. But that hasn’t happened yet. That’s a made-up future right now.
Last year it was only one good year of QB play, capped off with two really bad games in the clutch. Now he has two years on two different teams. Now it’s undeniable that he can play really well and has improved. Last year we didn’t have that much evidence. Again, hindsight is 20/20.
My point is it doesn’t matter what happens next. Sam has already accomplished more this year and last than almost any other QB in the league. He played really well across two seasons with two different teams.
I didn’t, but that’s neither here nor there.
My problem with the “clutch” argument. is you have to be good enough to get to the point where you might fail in that moment.
And as we are learning the hard way, just getting to the “good enough” point is not that easy.
I would rather work with someone who is proven good enough, and then work to get him to the next level, than start from scratch.
I personally am tired of the good enough stuff. I would much rather be in the playoffs, especially this year, but I want Vikings team that finally takes that next step.
‘I would much rather be in the playoffs, especially this year’
Not sure about that with out QB situation. We would probably be ‘one and done’ again.
We’d be one and done with Sam too
No way – not this year.
Yes way. If you’ve actually watched the Seahawks play the past 6 weeks you can see the wheels falling off offensively already. They got VERY lucky against the 49ers. If you havent watched the games Im not going to argue with you.
We’ll just have to disagree. With the way our defense is playing, and KOC learning some with play calls, we’d be fine with just good QB play.
And I’d rather argue elsewhere also
Facts. Thats where I and pretty much every other Vikings fan I know in person are at.
Yes, I’d much rather be in the playoffs, especially this year with the state of the league.
He played well against the Niners this week. Looked cool and composed, and made a number of strong throws.
to which I said to my wife: “Oh sure, he plays well this year with the #1 seed on the line.”
Well, I get this perspective, but personally, I think Sam showed a LOT last year. Our passing offense was 6th in the league. Pretty darn good for a first year QB in one of the more complex offenses in the league. The games we lost our O-line played abysmally too.
That was last week, and he threw 4 picks and was the only reason the 49ers were still in the game. Delusions abound.
What game was that – he didn’t throw 4 pics in the 49er game?
Oh right, im thinking of the Rams game. Point still stands. Yes 13 points on offense…just roaring.
13 appeared to be good enough
I actually have to agree with KFEY here – 13 points isn’t going to win you many games unless you have great defense (which Sam has nothing to do with, minus time of possession help). I actually made this point to someone else online on Sunday.
Don’t get me wrong – Sam has played well. But let’s see how he does when the pressure is dialed up in playoffs.
Agree – little early in the day to be hitting the bottle isn’t it?
Thank you
Of course he didn’t. He completed 77% of his passes for 198 yards, and was very solid.
In those games he showed much worse bed-crapping ability than Kirk ever did. Hoping it continues.
Possibile.
Same with going with The Douche or even with Jones (minus the injury of course).
But as you said, ‘We will never know’.
How far Darnold goes in the playoff is the bomb that is waiting to go off in Vikings Land.
If he is one-and-done, I think a certain segment will breath a sigh of relief. Otherwise, the further he goes, the more the angst will get turned up.
I was okay with Darold moving on before the season because I thought they must know what they are doing. Now, I think letting him go was a HUGE miscalculation. It will end up setting them back years.
I’m thinking the same but I still have hope for JJ. I have had hope for 43 years though and here we are.
This is the 20/20 hindsight question. I personally feel Darnold has always had the arm talent to be a top shelf QB in the NFL. He’s also mobile enough to scramble for first downs. His problem throughout his career has been between his ears. He looked better in that regard last year to me, and I thought he started showing signs of finally overcoming some of those demons. This year I see him taking a couple more steps in the right direction. So 20/20 hindsight says, yeah, we would be at the top of the NFC this year if Darnold had remained with the team.
Sure some hindsight but there’s also some hard facts worth noting. Last year Sam threw for 4300 yards and 35 TD’s. That is one hell of a lot of offense to let go.
And that was his first year operating in this offense. You have noted many times it takes time for a QB to adjust to a new offense. How much more comfortable would he have been this year. I don’t need hindsight to believe better.
Well, the question was if the demons had really been exorcised, and he was able to continue ascending in in his play, and production. The losses at the end of the year gave some folks pause in that regard. I can understand that. Personally, I would have found a way to bring him back, and make McCarthy beat him out if he could. That’s just how I operate. You have to earn your right to be the starter. McCarthy has been handed the reins, and as a result we have suffered through his injuries, and ups and downs. I think Sam was always the much better choice to be the starter this year.
Wasn’t Sam playing behind Ingram and the boys in the offensive line last year. And those last two games, both defenses were throwing everything at us. Was there any change in the playcalls – No.
There is a boat load of QB’s that would fail or play poorly under those conditions.
‘Wasn’t Sam playing behind Ingram’
I heard that ‘Ingram’ was one of the highest rated OG in the league this year.
Some players improve over time, and others thrive in different systems.
Or, so I’ve heard.
‘Un-possible’.
Once a bust always a bust.
I’ve even heard tales that some scrub QBs that used to play for Minnesota went on and won the Suberb Owl on different teams……lol
Too soon dude.
The season isn’t over. Sam crapped the bed the last two games last year. The common thought was that KOC’s offense was the reason for his success during the regular season and that KOC could do the same with any QB. That was proven false this year.
Hindsight is always 20/20. We can’t ignore what the context truly was last offseason. Most teams weren’t convinced Sam could be “the guy.” The Seahawks gambled on it and won (so far…they haven’t won anything yet).
So tell me, with the way our offensive lines were getting their asses beat off in those last two games, what QB would have done well in those circumstances
Fair point. But Sam was rattled and missed some throws.
The eye test: The failures were a combo of KOC’s plan, Sam’s brain, and the OL’s poor blocking.
Fair assessment, but I tend to look at the big picture not one or two games. Sam has had two very strong seasons in a row, playing for two different teams, and yet all people want to highlight is one game.
But you are adding in this whole season when the evaluation we are talking about happened before this whole season with a different team. This season is coloring your perception of where we were at last off season. I might be mixing up conversations, but that’s what it seems like.
Missed some throws? It seemed like half of his throws were way off (the times he wasn’t getting killed behind our line).
Of course, the missed facemask and the Stafford “incomplete pass” instead of fumble return screwed us too.
You mention Stafford and his play is signifigant to this discussion.
If one goes back to the Rams SB team in 21 and KOC was the OC. There was a five game span in the middle of the year where the Rams oline was having protection problems. And during that period Stafford threw an NFL record PIC sixes and as well as INT’s.
And that’s a QB that will be in the HOF.
Yeah, the line had a big effect, but KOC needed to make adjustments and he didn’t do well. And Sam was missing even easy throws – seeing ghosts again.
No crying in the breast milk, as it were. You gotta move on and get over Darnold. And until Seattle is actually in the bowl and I would hold up on any remorse.
Life in the NFL… some folks think the Cowboys will try to hire Flores to replace Eberflus
I pray that this isn’t us ‘post BFlo’.
Why would Flores choose that job over his current job? Same position, shittier team & their owner is batshit crazy.
I am not sure Flores can make a lateral move unless his contract is up. Is it?
It is.
I believe that the plan is that Flo would be the HC in Vegas not the DC.
Well, Dallas actually has an offense, which makes defense easier.
i realize i’m an idiot, freely admitting that…
but the 21.5 sacks on hitman’s resume doesn’t impress me that much. I understand it is an impressive stat for a safety and not many have had that many blah blah blah.
it just doesn’t impress me. that’s all.
7th all time on list of sacks by a safety.
Not anywhere near the top in interceptions by a safety.
Still a stud that will be missed. I hope he stays on as a coach.
and i realize obviously 7th all time is crazy good
IT’S JUST NOT VERY MANY IMO…..for as many seasons as he played, not even 2 sacks a season? for as often as he blitzed?
i guess my expectations are unrealistic haha
I get where you’re coming from considering his blitz rate.
His impact blitzing was felt in more ways than just sacks. Forced bad throws, batted balls, disrupted screens, got picks – remember when he took the ball from Tannehill in Miami on a blitz?
Its an impressive number considering his position.
you are correct he was VERY disruptive and that was fun to see Flores kind of give Hitman free reign the last couple games when we were out of it, to run around and be crazy.
gonna miss him for sure
I think that’s how BFlo should’ve deployed him all year. Keep him rotated near the box and give him the freedom to call his own coverages/blitzes on the fly. Use him more like a linebacker.
agreed, because he didn’t have it when it came to coverage/keeping up with receivers
Yup. Losing Bynum hurt. Could’ve had Metellus/Bynum on the back end – throw in Theo Jackson for a 3 safety look when needed and use Hitman in a ‘Joker’ role.
‘my expectations are unrealistic’
Of course they are, you are a fan. As are the rest of us.
She was hot.
Not hot enough to make me like country music, but hot.
You could watch her video’s with the mute on?
Yeah, I found that stat underwhelming as well. Along with his tackles for loss – I thought he’d have way more. That’s not even 4 per season. I know, I know, he’s a safety, but it seemed like he’d have more.
Sacks – 1.5 per year. Felt like it would be like 3-5 per year.
What does impress you Freezy? Mediocre overpaid QB play?
Daycare fraud overseen by a socialist governor who puts tampons in boys bathrooms.
He’s actually just acting out because he is so upset about Tim dropping out of the governor race.

Game was way closer than expected. Ill St is a legit team, I can see how they made it to the title game.
Yeah, 9 false starts(one where nobody moved) didn’t help. 2 blocked kicks at the end of the game was wild. I gained some great hairs last night. With how stressed i was last night, I don’t know if I could physically survive watching the Vikings in the Super Bowl. Also, no penalty applied in overtime is bull. The Illinois kicker damn near decapitated a dude and there was no penalty because, overtime.
That ‘4th and 10’ OT TD was pretty epic. Followed by the 2pt conversation and it went from ‘just about lossed to sudden victory’.
‘I gained some great hairs last night’
What makes a ‘great hair’ pray tell? I have a full head of hair in my late 60s which I think is pretty good, but great??
#grin
Supposed to be gray. I fixed it twice but apparently it still auto corrected.
I knew that but I started off the morning Snarky.
Said the same thing about Vikes in SB to my son last night. ST coordinator is an Anaconda kid. Not sure if he is scheming blocked kicks or just chance but they’ve had some big blocks this year.
Nice win!
Saw a pic of my stepson in the stands at the end of the game, he looked B.A.D., completely thrashed. I have no idea how one finds their way back to the hotel in a big city like Nashville with a BAC of 0.5.
Meh, if I were there and ended up sleeping in the bushes somewhere on the Villanova campus I’d be ok with it. I couldn’t imagine the emotional roller coaster being there live would have been. It was bad enough in my living room where I was able to get up and walk further from the tv. I know a couple people that were there. I’ll have to join them next year.
Well, you’d really be fucked if you woke up in the bushes on the Villanova campus in PENNSYLVANIA!
PS next year it’ll probably be two MVFC teams.
‘you’d really be fucked’
Nashville-Tennesse-Appalachia-Deliverance. Yeah I could see it happening.
I think I’ve told the story, we were staying at a hotel with friends within walking distance of Vanderbilt U and I was sent to pick up a couple of salad bowls or what you call em’s at the nearby Kava I think it’s called? While I was waiting for my order several young ladies from Vandy came in, let’s just say I was very grateful to go to college in Edmonton when I was a young man with raging hormones, as at least 2/3 of the year everyone was covered up with winter clothing. If I had gone to Vanderbilt studying would have been very very difficult.
Vanderbilt, same difference.
Heh, that’s like saying MSU…UM…same difference.
We’re going to have a lot of days, and time to discuss the team’s way ahead before we even get to the draft, much less OTA’s and training camp. That said, getting our cap space situation resolved is going to be one of the first orders of business. Restructuring contracts and cutting players is going to be on the table. I saw this, and think it’s sort of on the right track:
How I would approach the Vikings offseason:
1. Sign: Kenneth Walker, Marcus Mariota, Tyler Linderbaum
2. Cut: Jonathan Allen, Javon Hargrave, Ryan Kelly,
Restructure: TJ Hockenson, Byron Murphy
3. Extend: Jordan Addison, Jalen Redmond
Right now, the top 12 contracts we have count a little over $255M against the cap. Projected cap for 2026 is $304,300,000.
I nominate you for GM!
But I would pass on Mariota. And cut Hockenson if he will not re structure.
I don’t think Hockenson is worth bringing back and I’m not sure what Addison is going to want is worth it. It would just put the Vikings on the same situation as the Bengals, minus Joe Burrow.
I like the Walker idea, but I doubt he leaves Seattle. There are a few running backs set to be free agents though and they need to draft one.
Mason/Scott seems like a good duo. Maybe bring in a speedster as RB3 though.
I think the Wang is set to be free.
My Wang might be cheap but it is not free.
#grin
Thought Hock was pricy to cut this year unless designated post June 1st.
I may have misremembered what I misheard though.
I thought it got palatable this year. I know there was no way to move him in 2025. I’ll look when I get on my computer.
Yep, would have to be after this season. Post June 1 will allow the team to allocate some of the dead cap into an extra year, make the dead cap less……deadly in 2026
I could see a JJ/Nailor 1-2 punch, and find another WR3.
Trade Addison and his off-season shenanigans (and does anyone think there isn’t a good chance of something happening THIS offseason?) for a decent early round pick.
1. is pretty good.
2. is pretty good.
I don’t like TJ Hockenson. He can go. I also don’t care that much about Addison either. I’d rather keep Nailor than either of them.
I believe whatever QB they bring in will be the starter at the end of the season. I am officially giving up on JJM. He is weird and not very good. We will be forced to play out all the string on the situation, though.
now this is something i could get on board with….
re-singing Nailor, trading Addison for some extra good draft capital.
I think they should cut Hock, not enough return for the investment.
I fully believe the click-bait articles saying Flores will be the Raiders head coach next season.
Kind of sad about that, but good for him.
i agree and think so too.
with Tom Brady pulling strings for them, i think he’s going to help build that team back up. and Flores might be the right guy for it.
Hope he likes Mendoza.

I thought those 1st Round CB were more on Slick Rick than Zim?
I have been going DT/CB/S with my early mock picks based on which highest ranked players are available at #18.
Occasionally as short trade back if one is offered and there are similarly ranked players at position of need available.
I am still learning about the players to at this point I don’t really have favorites so ranking and position is how I base my choices.
Recoveries.
will reichard’s extra point numbers…..

Browns are one of the teams that should be removed from the league.
