Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
We’re halfway through the first official week of the NFL off-season. It’s a crazy one for me (again), but things will settle down after tomorrow, thankfully. Man, it’s gonna be a long wait for us to find out what the team will do about the QB position. It’ll also be interesting to see the team’s approach going into the draft with the interim leadership guiding the ship. The draft should be fairly stress free, since achieving improvement over the past 3-4 years of drafts won’t be very hard to do. A very low bar, I know.
Vikings and NFL News
Vikings.com brings you version 2.0 of their Vikings 2026 Mock Draft Tracker.
Yahoo Sports says ‘all bets are off’ between the Vikings and J.J. McCarthy. Sigh. It didn’t take them long to jump straight into off-season hyperbole, it’s only the first official week of the off-season.
Seattle public schools will stay open on parade day with no excused absences, per NFL.com.
Former Browns TE David Njoku will test the market this off-season, CBS Sports looks at potential landing spots.
ESPN looks at the limited options available to teams who need to find a QB this off-season.
49ers DL Keion White was shot in the ankle during a post-Super Bowl event in San Francisco, per Yahoo Sports. That’s odd, I thought they had strict gun laws in San Francisco.
More details emerge from the Falcons’ James Pearce’s arrest after a domestic dispute with a WNBA star, from Yahoo Sports. That’s one way for a WNBA player to make the front page of the sports page. Yikes, looks like dude rammed into her with a Lamborghini. It seems that a Lamborghini would not be a good option for someone to use to ram into another vehicle, those demolition derby fellas seem to prefer station wagons & such.

A great compilation from A.J. and Hecklefish over at the Why Files. Enjoy!

SAVE Act got through the House by 1 vote today. Now it goes to the Senate. Need 51 votes to get it to the Presidents desk. Requires proof of citizenship and ID to vote. Fetterman says he’s a yes on this. There are still four Republican Senators that are apparently a “no”. Terrible.
‘Jim Crow 2.0’.
Woke/Lib/Dims/TDS Sufferers.
How in the hell could four Republicans be against this?
We have idiots on OUR side!
The Senate will need 60 votes to overcome a filibuster.
I thought they had figured out a way around the filibuster… must not have. I thought Thune was going to force a “standing filibuster” which requires a physical presence on the floor, and continuous speech. As long as someone can stand and talk, then the filibuster stands. Once they quit… then a majority vote is all that is needed to pass the bill, and only a majority vote is need to approve the standing filibuster… I think.
Big news in autism research!
Stanford researchers demonstrated that hyperactivity in the reticular thalamic nucleus, a sensory gatekeeper brain region, drives autism-like behaviors in Cntnap2 mutant mice, as detailed in a 2025 Science Advances study.
Inhibiting this hyperactivity with the drug Z944 or DREADD neuromodulation restored social interaction, reduced repetitive behaviors, and alleviated hypersensitivity, while artificially increasing it induced similar symptoms in healthy mice.
The findings suggest shared neural mechanisms with epilepsy, common in autism, but remain preclinical; human applications require further validation across diverse ASD models.
The algorithm has you pegged right now.
I’m sure it does, but I look into these kinds of reports, and determine how real they are. There is a lot of movement on medical issues folks don’t know about. My wife was a cancer research scientist when I met her. She was seeing success in the lab on cancer cures. Unfortunately she married me, I took her to Germany, and she lost her career.
Awesome, let’s hope it works.
James Van Der Beek dead at 48…

CRC. Yikes. Age for screening was lowered to 45 in 2021, I wonder if that is when it was picked up.
i had my first colonoscopy at 35, need to schedule my next one now that i’m 40.
colon cancer runs in the family, so i’d rather be on top of it
Damn, that sucks. Pride of west Canaan, that is far too young.

As of January 2026, ANVISA approved Phase I human trials for safety in recent injuries, with early anecdotal reports of motor gains in patients, though full efficacy awaits peer-reviewed results from ongoing studies.
Based on public records and congressional archives, zero Democrat members of Congress requested the Epstein files during the Obama (2009-2017) or Biden (2021-2025) administrations. Notable Democrat requests started in 2019 under Trump.
This seems odd, that under Democrat Presidents, they never pursued the Epstein files, but under Trump they acted like it was a total house afire.
Obviously just a political ploy to try and present Trump negatively. Like he was hiding something. Sad that some people can’t see this for it is. That said, many, many liberals are going to end up suffering from the files release.
Trump has said the same thing, and as we have seen time and time again ‘Trump is always right’.
Shocking!. The honest, good hearted, fair minded, ever handed Democrats wouldn’t have anything by the country’s good on their minds.
It must have just slipped their minds when there were Democrat Presidents.
This study actually happened in 2025, but it’s worth noting…
Having read a number of stories regarding this, I’m hopeful we learn something soon.
TDS will kill any good press on this.
Hope not.

OK, this has my vote!!!
Depends on the Baloney, much like Hot Dogs, it can be made from the sweeping off the floor or from some quality ingredients.
Makes sense. We buy Hebrew National quarter pound dogs, and they are really good. Would be good to know what type of bologna he’s using.
Hebrew national are fantastic, other than the dogs from the local butcher shop, those are all I buy
‘Hebrew National’
Kosher is all about quality/healthy foods.
Love Hebrew National.
Found this interesting read:
https://nypost.com/2026/02/11/sports/how-seahawks-took-advantage-of-classic-young-qb-drake-maye/
Baiting and taking advantage of young QBs is a time honored tactic of DCs.
Obviously, the pros know what they’re doing. The Seahawks defense broke down the film, saw things they felt they could capitalize on, and pulled off some significant plays in the game. Young QB’s are always going to be slightly slower, slightly more unsure, and slightly more predictable than a 5 year vet. The cat and mouse game is part of a players evolution. Mahomes was really a problem in his early years, because even he didn’t know what he was going to do on any given play. He just improvised so much, defenses couldn’t get a bead on him.
One reason Brady and the Patriots were successful in the playoffs and Super Bowls was they would study all their trends and play calls in every situation for the last 3 years, and then go against those trends in the games. They would run a different offense basically. They would also find plays they had never run, ever, and put them in the game plan.
‘They would also find plays they had never run, ever, and put them in the game plan’
Very ‘Art of War’ like.
It was. Belichick was ahead of his time in this regard. He also only drafted Left Tackles for a while, so every O-lineman could play that position and protect Brady’s blind side if needed. He also did things on defense no other coach did. He determined the strengths of the opposing offense and designed a defensive game plan to take away those strengths. He sacrificed yards and plays in other aspects of his scheme, to stop their strengths. He was in many ways the most cerebral coach of his time.
I didn’t know that about BB and the oline, I just remember he drafted a lot of guys who were wrestlers as well, Vikings should maybe give that a try, the pats always had a good oline under him.
Top 5 O-line almost every year under Belichick.
I guess so. But watching that game. both defenses had fierce pass rushes and the DB’s were then sitting on all the routes. Any pocket QB, even Brady, would have had problems under that type of rush. Drake is actually mobile, but it did him little good.
Given the nature of the game, thought both QB’s were being very careful to not make a mistake. Too far, I guess.
Duh…..
‘Expert’ level analysis there.
Make sure go give them ‘all the clicks’.
Yeah… this would be one of those Captain Obvious moments, IMO. McCarthy will be the starter. The Vikings brought in Sam Howell, then Carson Wentz last year as the backup. No reason to believe they won’t follow that same track in 2026. The vet will be someone who accepts the fact they will not be the starter, unless McCarthy is injured. There won’t be a QB competition in camp. McCarthy is the QBOTF.
Sorry, don’t buy that. This ain’t last year and now KOC’s six is on the line. There will be a competition.
OK… we’ll see. I think KOC is going to go with McCarthy and support him. I don’t agree with this approach, at all, but I think this is how KOC will proceed.
I hope he has a better backup plan next year though, Brosmer and Wentz were not capable of pushing JJ to be better
That’s the point. I have a feeling that KOC doesn’t want McCarthy to feel too threatened. I think he feels like he needs a guy who is good enough, but not too good.
KOC needs to pull his head out of his ass, JJ may end up developing into a great QB but even the best of all timers had to beat a decent QB out, Brady with Bledsoe, mahomes with Smith, Favre from majikowski ,Plunkett from Stabler, hell even Steve young took Joe Montana’s job. JJ needs to prove he deserves the job.
I completely agree with you on this, but it seems like these days coaches are sensitive to ensuring their QB’s know the team is theirs.
Up to this point in time. who do you think has been really calling the shots on the QB situation – KAM or KOC?
KAM constructed the team, and drafted McCarthy. I have no idea what KOC thought of that, but one would think he had some hand in the selection.
Isn’t it documented that KOC wanted to keep Cousins, and he wanted to keep Sam. Just think he didn’t have the ‘major’ say in who stayed and who didn’t.
I think when KOC was hired, he was advised that Cousins was only going to be retained till KAM could bring in a rookie to replace him. That was a boilerplate agreement. KAM was not keeping Cousins and his big contract. I think KOC understood that from the start.
I don’t think that, Cousins and KOC go back. Believe Cousins campaigned to help get KOC the job.
KOC was Cousins QB coach under Matt Cavanaugh in his last year in Washington (2017). I never heard Cousins advocated for KOC’s hiring though.
Yep.
JJ had his chance to be handed the job.
It’s over.
KOC is on the hotseat. Or he should be.
Full blown competition for the starting QB better be the plan.
Smith was traded to DC. Mahomes sat behind him. Mahomes beat out Smith as much as JJ beat out Sam.
Smith was traded because Reed knew what he had in Mahomes and was turning it over to him.
Maybe Sam was allowed to walk because KOC believes the same in JJ. We have not seen enough from JJ to throw him out. Maybe he fails, but I say give the kid a chance. I’ve seen enough retreads go through the organization. Short of ending up with Burrow or Allen, if they just throw JJ out now, that’ll probably be the final straw for my give a shits about the Vikings and the NFL. I’m tired of watching the same movie over and over. Let’s just one time be patient.
I’m fine giving JJ a chance if a real starting QB competition is done.
To just let JJ have it again would be a dumb move given his injury history.
Agreed
Believe KOC knows exactly what he has in JJ and who he brings in will be a big clue to his feelings.
But he’s crazy to not have a competition. Another bad season and he’ll get fired.
9-8 is not a bad season.
Or bad enough to get him fired imo.
Minnesota sports is all about being .500 and competing for a playoff spot.
The bar is low for MN sports.
We were out of the playoffs with a month to go. And we beat the Packer scrubs just to end 9-8.
Now, I’m no Minnesota sports expert, but if the 500 stuff is true, why pay WR 40 mil and a TE 20 mil? You can be 500 with a lot less than that.
And for that matter, if around 500 is OK, why let Zimmer go.
Because your 40 million dollar WR sells jerseys and puts butts in the seats.
Hell, the NFL owners make millions regardless.
And that’s the reason.
The owners want to sell tickets.
And concessions.
So if the fanbase is happy at 9-8, that’s all they need to do. That’s Minnesota nice.
Competitive but not dominant.
Your post is one of the more logical ones on this topic.
The kid, yes, he is still a kid, has played in 10 regular season NFL games. Over those 10 games, he has shown some nice improvement. He was a top QB prospect. We have to be patient.
Most young QBs take 2-3 years to develop into reliable starters. We need a de ent backup, but lets not kid ourselves and think our QBOTG is currently available at a reasonable price as a trade or FA.
Reasonable except for one major factor.
His injury history.
It would be pretty bad management to assume he stays healthy.
So PA, you are correct. Young QB’s take 3 years or more to develop. They DON’T have to start though. A team doesn’t have to suffer through three years of a QB learning to play QB in the NFL. The Packers have had three QB1’s since 1992. Favre, Rodgers, and Love. Rodgers had to wait till his fourth year to start. Love had to also wait a few years to start.
So teams CHOOSE to suffer through three years with a young QB like the Panthers have with Bryce Young, and the Jags did with Lawrence.
I would say forget all the happy talk, just watch what QB he picks to join the team. That will speak volumes.
I expect that they will pick up the best one that can afford. Doubt they will give up the farm but the best of what is left.
They will probably lean into the ‘QB Whisperer’ and hope he can ‘Unfuck’ someone like he did with Sam.
Dang right. His job is on the line now.
Likely.
But I want some a big ass swing at QB that shocks the NFL.
Not stupid shocking like DeSean Watson.
But a Joe Burrow type of move.
I could get into that.
Of course it will be an ‘epic fail’ due to Vikings.
But it would make for a more interesting offseason. If they went ‘all in’ like that would tie the new GM once hired to a QB that he had no part of selecting.
The Vikings franchise has been epic fail in terms of winning a superb owl.
So they might as well try something to shock the system.
Yes, because they have never brought in a vet from another team. Definitely something new to try.
They have brought in plenty of discarded veteran free agent QBs for sure.
Cunningham worked.
Most didn’t.
I can’t remember, but do you know of any big swings the Vikings have ever made at QB?
Favre worked for a year, but again, a bit on the discarded side of free agents.
Big swing – I’m all for it.
‘Big swing’
NOYST?
This is fascinating to me.
Traveling to Mars in 30 days now on the horizon.
Imagine a US or Russian spaceship being a UFO to another world if we can figure out time warp travel.
https://www.popularmechanics.com/space/rockets/a70162796/russian-plasma-engine-30-days/
Cool. Those Russians always get into a dick measuring contest with the US when it comes to space and military hardware.
I’ve never measured my dick against a Russian, only ever measured it by myself and with a lady friend once because she wanted to know if circumference was longer than linear length.
Do Russians have big dicks or do they just think we have small ones?
Yes
Does massive amounts of Vodka make your dick bigger?
Or does it just make you think that your dick is bigger??
Yes sir.
I want to see a manned flight to Mars in my lifetime!
I think it would be freaky to have a conversation with Earth when the average time of transit for a radio signal is 20-22 minutes. Takes 45 minutes to hear “hello” back.
Exactly.
Looks like Charlie Woods has committed to Florida State. Charlie is still a Junior in High School, so it will be another year before he goes to college.
Who is Charlie woods?
Laughing… Tiger’s son.
Who from? Perkins waitress, bartender, one of the porn stars?
Elin Nordegren.. his ex-wife.
I don’t know why he would cheat on her, maybe when you’re the best in the world at what you do you just get bored? I mean she is a super classy, attractive, intelligent woman and he’s out there banging dirty skank porn stars, cocktail and Perkins waitresses, etc. so strange.
Remember he was a “sex addict” – it was called a disease by some (apologists).
He actually went off to a Rehab Center and supposedly got cured.
NLNVF has bought into the ‘rebranding’ of the scum. I guess as long as you are good at golf you can act any way you want and NLNVF will be good with it.
No… I accept that extra-marital sex among rich and powerful people (like Bill Clinton for instance) occurs. I look at the whole person and their contributions to the world though, because frankly who a man fucks isn’t all that important to me. Anyone who acts like they are holier than thou in passing judgement on another person in this regard is being very disingenuous. Men are not pious by nature. They aren’t perfect. I’m not condoning the behavior, I’m being a realist, and accepting it. Rich men fuck a lot of women, because they can.
Providing cover by equating ‘sex addict’, dozens of affairs with everyone from Porn Stars to Waitresses to ‘An Affair’ because he played a game you like and then playing the ‘he who is without sin’ card obviously colors your ‘realism’.
I’m sure you have never sinned…
Thanks for proving my point.
But I forgive you.
But that’s not the problem I have with Tiger. Of course all men sin.
Tiger was always jealous of Jack. Jack was truly a saint when it comes to being a family man. He would actually leave a tournament after Friday’s round, go home to watch his kid play football, and then fly back for Saturday’s round.
So, what did good old Tiger do. After a round, he would say just got to get home to see the wife and kids. Big, big lie- off to the hookers. A terrible family man.
I don’t care if you’re trash, but don’t try to blow smoke up my ass.
Well he didn’t even have kids till 2007 (Sam) and 2009 (Charlie) so he was well into his career before they ever came along. Also the kids live with him, not their mother. So which parent was the better parent? Tiger has been totally committed to Sam and Charlie for basically their whole lives.
As to being jealous of Jack, I don’t know about that. Jack was his idol growing up as I understand it. So, maybe you know something I don’t.
Regardless, the only real issue Tiger had was he liked the ladies a little too much in his younger days. Since his ugly divorce, he’s invested millions and millions of dollars in helping others, and been a great parent to his children.
I acknowledge his foundation and all the good work from it.
But he was also trash as a husband.
Perhaps I’m old school. Raymond Floyd was the biggest playboy on tour. Got married and never chased again. Arnold Palmer was a bit of one. His Father came to Florida and told him, if you want to run around, get divorced. Otherwise, get you act together. So, I don’t care if your a truck driver or a HOF QB, if you’re married, act like it. If you want to run around, be single.
So that’s a very virtuous stance, and I too have never cheated on my wife. I wouldn’t think of it. Lee Trevino was a big womanizer though. Do you hate on him? I could list hundreds of celebrities and sports figures that cheated on their wives. Is that the moral divining line on whether we like someone? JFK for instance?
Yes, and I don’t accept it from any of them, big stars or joe blow next door.
That’s not virtuous, it’s either right or wrong.
And I really didn’t know about Trevino. But then again, I don’t recall him popping off about being a family man and all of that.
He wasn’t a family man. Tiger has been though. He has raised his children, and shared their lives fully.
True. But all of that change in behavior is after the divorce and getting hit with a nine iron.
Give him credit for changing.
You do know that Tiger’s dad travelled to tournaments with him in an RV and he would have sex with women while Tiger was playing right? He was conditioned pretty early in his life that womanizing was a norm.
That’s right, like father like son. And Tiger’s Mother divorced him too.
Nope. Kultida was married to Earl Woods for 37 years until his death in 2006.
Sorry, got his wife’s mixed up.
I heard a story that Tiger was pretty shy around girls when he was younger. He was at a party (after he’d won a lot) and Michael Jordan and somebody else like Tom Brady were there. Tiger asked them how to start a conversation with a girl and they just looked at him and said, “tell em you’re Tiger Woods”.
It’s probably not true, but I thought it was funny anyway.
Ha, mentioned that above. Guess I shoulda scrolled down a bit first.
Yeah… I don’t know which of us posted this first. I saw your comment above and thought the same thing.
There is a good documentary out there somewhere about Tiger, can’t remember what it’s called but I watched it a couple years ago. You’ll find out that his dad was the same way, banging chicks in his RV while Tiger was getting practice lessons. I like Tiger, but the apple didn’t fall far from the tree there.
Is there any reason why we should know who ‘Charlie Woods’ is??
Well, he’s pretty well known in the the golf world. Tiger’s son.
Well given that I am in no way part of that ‘world’ no reason I would be expected to know him..
I guess one can hope that he proves to be a better man than is father is.
Tiger is one of the most philanthropic people in the world. His TGR Foundation is making a positive impact on the lives of students from under-resourced communities. TGR has served more than 217,000 students through its education programs and TGR Learning Labs, providing these children the knowledge, confidence and tools needed to discover their passions and unleash their potential.
Making a difference in hundreds of thousands of under served children is a good thing.
He had an affair while married. That isn’t the end of the story as to his contributions to the world in my opinion.
FTFY
Hundreds? Yeah… not.
Are you saying he ran out of Perkins Waitresses??
When you ‘pay off’ your sins it is know as ‘Indulgence’. It was big in the middle ages when Nobles could act however they wanted as long as they ‘donated’ to the church. Like buying a ‘get out of jail’ card.
Indulgences (from the Latin verb ‘indulgere’, meaning “to forgive”, “to be lenient toward”) are a help towards achieving this purification. An indulgence does not forgive the guilt of sin, nor does it provide release from the eternal punishment associated with unforgiven mortal sins.
How sanctimonious of you…yeah, no matter what a man does, his sins are never forgiven.
Yeah, if I throw some money at a cause it make me ‘olly olly oxen free’.
I guess we will just have to disagree on what makes a good man.
We will SoCal because I don’t agree with your perspective at all.
I finished watching a documentary about the Celtics lakers rivalry last night, man, Larry and Magic were amazing, still my favorite players, what I didn’t know is how terrible the NBA was before them, like indoor soccer was more lucrative. Every player since 1979 owes Larry and Magic their careers. Another thing struck me watching, I realized they both retired earlier than expected due to health reasons from their own stupidity, Larry originally injured his back building a gravel driveway for his mom, despite being a multi millionaire, he chose not to have a concrete or asphalt driveway installed and did a gravel one himself instead, back injuries plagued him the rest of his career and played a part in the Celtics losing the 87 finals, along with McHale’s broken foot. Magic was also amazing, I don’t think there’s ever been another player who could play point guard and center and dominate at both. However he retired in like 91 because he didn’t want or know how to use a prophylactic, Bird allegedly sobbed when he heard of Magic’s retirement. Such similar players in so many ways on the court, great passers, scorers, rebounders, who were at their best involving their teammates, couldn’t be any different off the court though, Larry being quiet unassuming and shying away from publicity, magic being the perfect Laker, always smiling, charismatic, and always willing to step into the spotlight. Also, I never knew Larry was the greatest trash talker of all time, apparently he would literally tell his opponent the play they were running, where he would be and when he would shoot and then went out and did exactly what he said. They were probably the greatest rivalry in the history of sports. MJ is the GOAT, but they are still my favorite players of all time. Also, today’s NBA sucks ass.
Yes Sir, those were the days when the NBA was fun to watch. These two guys were the greatest, and the Celtics/Lakers rivalry was one of the best in sports history.
I agree with everything here Ben. Different time, true legends.
I’m not a big NBA fan, only watch the wolves when I can. I will say that I don’t think it “sucks ass” though because of the amount of talented players today’s NBA has. There are some dudes that can really ball out when on the court. That Wemby kid that plays for the spurs is amazing.
I agree, lot’s of really talented players in today’s NBA….I think the officiating is getting a little better…The Wolves are still extremely frustrating to watch due to there tendencies to under perform.
Some really good players, I can’t stand the league in general, can’t play defense, traveling is encouraged, flopping is just embarrassing at this point, most players are total pansies, Wemby is super talented, but also soft, if he played in the 80s or 90s he’d be broken in half by guys like Laimbeer, Oakley, Rodman, Xavier McDaniel, etc. Players are total floppers for the most part, starting with Lebron, but including gilgeous Alexander, harden and of course the big pussy himself Karl Anthony towns. There’s no toughness in the nba anymore, just whining, bitching and flopping.
Agreed, especially about the defense. That’s why college ball is better to watch imo. NBA defense does seem to be better in the playoffs though.
Politicing for calls is a constant.
None of them were ever called for a foul that they deserved. None of their opponants got called as many times as they deserved.
Great points Ben.
I do have a follow up.
Because he was HIV positive or something else?
Did the documentary give further details?
Reminds me of the South Park episode where they figure out that the cure to aids is money.
I mean, it’s not wrong.
There is no cure, but extremely expensive treatment is an option.
HIV, it did not elaborate
That era of the NBA was pretty great.
Before that I grew up with The Logo Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, The Big O Oscar Robinson, and many more.
The current NBA has some great athletes but they play a version I don’t recognize, palming the ball constantly, constant 3 pointers, bully ball, etc. Not to mention all of the woke/social justice crap, like DEI isn’t racism reimagined into victimhood.
And you get to take four, sometimes five, steps without traveling call.
The woke social justice DEI garbage is hard to take….but football is getting just as bad. I read an article that said baseball was the only one of the 4 sports where the majority of the players leaned conservative…..even hockey leans liberal – I blame the Canadians.
Agreed, the NFL is trying to be as bad as the NFL.
Different fanbases a bit, so they are slightly behind on it.
Bird had a game where he told the guy covering him he was only going to shoot left handed and still score so many points on him. He pretty much did, I believe he had a couple of right handed shots though.
Growing up, I thought the only two teams in the NBA were the Celtics and the Lakers. We only got one channel and the only games we got to see were the NBA finals and those were the only two teams that played in the finals for 5-6 years.
Not far off for me either.
I mean, it was the Lakers and Celtics for like 20 years.
Pistons eventually.
And then the Bulls.
Living in Minnesota, the Bucks were the team I got to watch. The big O, Lew Alcindor, Bobby Jones were great fun and a great team. As others have mentioned, I find it difficult to get excited about the NBA now.
Yep.
I was the same, only games I watched as a kid were pretty much the finals, always on NBC, which every year was the lakers or Celtics and Larry or Magic. I do remember one year at my dad’s house, we were there every other weekend as was divorce standard at that time, and he had cable tv. Anyway, WGN was one of the channels we got and they broadcast the Bulls Celtics game, I saw Micheal Jordan drop 60 points on Boston and still lose but that was when I kind of realized there were more teams than just LA and Boston.
Me too…I had an un-justified dislike for the Lakers because of Kareem Abdul Jabar…When I first started watching the NBA it was close to the end of his career….I hated that he didn’t sprint back on defense – thought he was lazy. After playing rec Basketball until I was 48 I now have a different perspective.
Speaking of great players….ANT has been working hard on improving his shooting with his left hand. Last game he had a beautiful spinning move where he kissed it off the glass from 8-to10 feet with his left hand. Very impressive – and you could tell he was impressed with himself which was fine – it’s nice when your hard work visibly pays off.
Yeah that’s great, how about he and his teammates play hard every night and not be complete ass against trash teams? Until he starts doing that he’s not a great player, great players like MJ, Larry, Magic, etc, didn’t lay an egg against the dregs of the league because they thought they could just coast.
Rec’d for Truthiness…
i get a wolves game once in a while on Amazon or network tv and the last few times I watched they lost to mediocre teams and it really pissed me off because they didn’t even play hard, which is literally the least you can do. I really don’t understand this team, they could end up the three seed and lose in the first round, or end up a play in team and make the conference finals, I can’t even imagine how frustrated finch and Connelly must be.
