I had a crazy day yesterday. There was a kitten in an abandoned property that I manage, it was there on Friday and I wasn’t able to catch her. I thought I had gotten her out of the house, but I was wrong. When I walked in yesterday, she was still there. She didn’t have enough strength to run away, although she tried to eat me when I caught her. I’m glad I was wearing leather gloves, I got her into a kennel-type thing.
She rode with me the rest of the day while I finished my inspections, fed her some food & gave her some water. She wouldn’t sleep, just stared at me the entire 3 hours or so.
I got her home (wife & kiddo were excited) & we cleaned her up & fed her more. Gave her a place to sleep where it’s warm. Our dog was fine with her, our psycho cat was not, that’ll be an uphill battle. Anyway, it looks like we might have another cat.

Great win today. Wow. I did NOT expect Dobbs to be able to pull that off. He wasn’t perfect, but holy hell, he led some very good drives & got some gutsy first downs for the offense.

Maryland is losing big to Penn St.
Maryland is my alma mater, kind of.
I received my degree from U of M ‘European Division’.
When started at the prison they pay more monthly pay if you had a degree but they wanted proof from the institution.
So I wrote U of M and included a copy of my certificate with a self addressed, stamped envelope asking them to send proof to the prison.
They replied back that they had no idea who I was.
But ever since they have been sending me requests for donations.
I take great joy deleting those request.

The best part is because they send the copy of certificate in the self addressed, stamped envelope with the note that they had no idea who I was to the Prison, which didn’t even read the note.
They just saw certificate coming from U of M and said ‘ok you qualify for the extra $40 a month for having a degree. They gave the envelope and it contents to me and I learned the whole sorted tale.

A lot easier to care for, and while I am not a fan of dealing with a litter box, it is way better than taking my dogs out at 5 am
Saw and ad for a ‘smart litter box’ that actually weights what your cat produces and sends you a message if there is a big enough change that you should consult with a Vet.

My daughter told me she bought an automatic liter box that requires no cleaning. Nor sure how it works, but she’s happy with it.
We have one, it’s awesome.
Hey Surly, I asked you late yesterday what years your daughter played for Jamestown and who was her coach.. I too, am a Jimmie, and have 3 siblings and 2 nephews who played various sports for the Jimmies….
Daughter played there from 2011/12-2014/15. Her Sophomore year was probably her favorite. she dealt with some knee injuries JR and Senior year.

Well worth the expense. I empty the box once a month. It does the routine cleaning every time the cat goes in there. Pretty dang handy.
