A billion kudos to skoldiers for keeping us up to date on the Vikings practice squad and waiver wire moves yesterday. Another day of absolute chaos, and thanks to Skoldiers, we kept you up to date as that chaos ensued. The past two days have been crazy, and Skoldiers and Mick have done a tremendous job of keeping us up to speed!
In the end, the Vikings didn’t make any major moves, which is probably a good thing. If you’re picking a bunch of guys off of other teams’ scrap heaps, it’s generally not a good sign. The Browns poached Kellen Mond, so now he can go join a fellow ex-Viking, the Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. I was honestly hoping Mond would clear waivers so we could sign him to the practice squad, but I didn’t expect him to clear waivers.

I always look for the silver lining. I see good in everything. Ingram might not suck and our oline could be average in a year or two. In spite of the fact we are ranked as a bottom 10 team it could be a good thing to have an off season since we would move up in the draft order and waiver wire. See, nothing but positive vibes. You need to look past the initial fact that I, along with many others, expect us to lose a lot this season. That’s just reality, not pessimism.

Oh I never walk in the pastures when the cows are in season or when there are newborn calves. The latter is easily the most dangerous time to be around the cattle.
I’ve previously recounted, there is a bull (called yellow ear tag) that stalked me one afternoon I was bird hunting. My Lab took notice of him after I yelled at the bull to back the F off and Tuck moved between us. Damn bull was eying him and did a couple of scrapes. I was calculating how close I would have to let him get before trying to give him both barrels of #4 shot through the orbit, before the bull sidled off. I later found out that particular bull is a mean SOB, has rammed the bale truck more than once. Green tag and red tag bull are good, yellow is a Fer.
Fuckers can be seriously scary on open range. Ran into one in AZ who just finished fighting another. Not a pleasant experience, though bull bison are worse.
