Finished all the pre-winter tasks around the house.
Today is a great day for football and probably a nap.

40 mph winds with 65 mph gusts today, not working in the yard. Yuck.
Lot’s of rain here today. That’s ok, because I have plenty of work to do in the house today. We are going to a rodeo tonight (indoors), which should be fun.
Finished the most recent season of “A Handmaidens Tale” last night, was very good.
Probably should watch that.
I just do not wanna pay for yet another streaming thingy just for one show.
Yellowstone got me subscribing to Paramount +. Ted lasso got me subscribed to Apple TV/ Dragons got me on HBO.
I know what you mean. I have too many so I’m thinking of cutting back.

Quiet day rocking on the old porch. I got up early, took the car in for a quick service. Got my exercise in while it was being worked on, now 4 hours of yard work. Then I hope to hit the local sports bar, watch TN & GA play and have a few beers. All to warm up for tomorrow
I got back from hunting yesterday, now I have to get stuff down around the house
How was the trip? Successful, or just peaceful – both are good.
I miss hunting. I may restart that activity now that my friend bought a farm, and we can do some shooting
Always a good time for me, sitting in the forest listening to the sounds of nature is very relaxing.
plus I stay with my parents so I can check on them.
Deer weren’t moving during the day, I’ll go back at the end of the month
I never shot a deer, since I am a lousy shot unless it is a video game. But I really enjoyed deer hunting, even in the cold and snow. I did wake up once to a doe about 30 yards away once. Good thing I had no doe permit, or I would have missed and been more embarrassed than just getting caught napping.
I’m not a very good shot either, however since I’ve hunted for 30+ years, I have gotten a few. I really hate the cold however, so I don’t go out every day of the season like I used to.
Despite where I live I don’t like hunting when it’s hot
I hunted opening day in SC one time, wore shorts
it was 95 and humid
That would be just as bad or worse than the cold.
I go to the range about every other month to keep proficient
Yup, gotta hone the skills.
I might start reloading again, ammunition is pricey
Looking at that myself.
