Aloha….again…..Skoloholics! Wow, the bodies keep hitting the floor. The latest casualty of the Vikings’ off-season plan is CB Cameron Dantzler, as the team just released him, according to Ian Rapoport.
Cameron Dantzler was drafted out of Mississippi State by the Minnesota Vikings in round 3 (#89 overall) of the 2020 NFL draft. He has played in 35 games for the Vikings in his three-year career with 26 starts, and has played fairly well, in my opinion (stats courtesy of PFR). Dantzler was slated to have a cap hit of nearly $3 million in 2023 with only $223K in dead money, so the move saves the Vikings a hair over $2.7 million of cap space for 2023.
Wow, lots of changes coming to the Minnesota Vikings. This is what we asked for.
