Alright, so according to the Vikings.com team website, the Minnesota Vikings have released their first unofficial depth chart. Not a lot of surprises here, but at least we have something to discuss.
Offense
QB: Kirk Cousins, doesn’t specify whether Mond or Manion are the primary backup, which is really the main question at this position
RB: Dalvin Cook, followed by Mattison then Nwangwu
FB: Ham
WR: AT, JJ, Osborn & Smith-Marsette, Bisi & Mitchell
TE: Irv Smith Jr.
OT: Darrisaw & O’Neill
OG: Cleveland & Davis followed by Reed
C: Bradbury……Yay!
Defense
DE: Tomlinson and Watts
NT: Phillips
OLB: Hunter & Z Smith
ILB: Kendricks & Hicks
CB: Pat Peterson & Hold Me Closer Cameron Dantzler, backups are Sullivan & Booth Jr.
Safety: Harrison Smith & Cam Bynum, Cine & Mettelus are backups. A bit of a surprise to some here, many of us expected Bynum to get the nod.
I thought the new coach didn’t use a full back.
Probably required to list someone, not sure, maybe they’re incorporating Ham in certain sets.
Ingram has jumped into the RG2 spot.
Hope its RG1 sooner than later.
Curious that they list Schlottman’s ice cream as the back up center, and not Reed. I haven’t heard many reports about Schlottman taking practice reps.
Yeah, some of the backup spots were surprising, but who knows how accurate this is.
Mond and Mannion must be a coin flip at this point then.
Bad news is Mond hasn’t overtaken Mannion yet.
Good news is Mond can still get better, Mannion is what he is.
Yeah, agreed. It looks more promising this year than it did last year. Hopefully he can step up his game a bit & take over the QB2 position, because I NEVER want to see Minion take another snap for us.

Mannion won’t win a game. Why is he wasting a roster spot? If Kirk needs a security blanky that much, make him an assistant coach.
My take is when they said Mond OR Mannion, it indicates one will get cut.
