It’s game day! The Vikings are in Seattle to take on the Seahawks, and although the Vikings are 3 point favorites on the road, it’s been a LONG time since they’ve beaten the Seahawks in Seattle. 2006 to be exact, that’s a long time. I say it’s about time to put an end to that ugly streak.
The Seahawks offense has been struggling in the recent past, so hopefully Flores and the defense have something cooked up to help them continue to struggle. If the Vikings can shut down the run, Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense will be in a tough spot, as they aren’t an offense that usually kills you through the air. They’ll try to establish the run, but they’re going up against one of the best run defenses in the league (statistically), so let’s hope the Vikings can shut them down.
The Vikings offense, on the other hand, seem to be finding their stride. They still haven’t figured out how to put together four complete quarters of football, but they’re getting closer. Sam Darnold looks more confident every week, and Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson have really stepped up once opposing defenses focused on shutting down Justin Jefferson, and guys like Powell, Sherfield, and Nailor have started seeing more action as well. The Vikings have a lot of weapons on offense, so Darnold will need to continue to spread the ball around. Today will be a test for them, it’s never easy to win in Seattle.
Kickoff is at 3:05 today, one of those goofy late afternoon games. I don’t care much for the 3:00 games, but nobody asked my opinion. Who cares? Just win, baby!!! SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
