Aloha, Skoloholics! After waiting around through the first twenty-two picks, we saw the Vikings shockingly stand pat with the 23rd pick and select WR Jordan Addison out of USC. I like the pick. This solidifies the Vikings WR corps, and takes some pressure off of Justin Jefferson, as teams will have to respect the other threats on the Vikings offense. I’ll bet Kirk Cousins is a happy guy, for numerous reasons.
The kid was a stud WR in college, we’ll find out in a few months whether his talent translates to the NFL. I’m a fan of this pick, for whatever that’s worth.
Here’s a scouting report on Addison, courtesy of CBS Sports.
I´m sure Kwesi is going to do something crazy. It rhymes, so it is true.
Nobody wanted Will Levis so far…
I’m in the “this is a good pick” bandwagon.
WR wasn’t my first choice for R1 but I see the need. Personally I was feeling Joey Porter or Nolan Smith over Addison but I can see the value.
A good comp for Addison is Devonta Smith with the Eagles. He’ll bring another element to the Vikings WR corps. There are quite a few good breakdowns on Addison out there right now.
As far as the CB room goes…
Well..
Look at who the first team defense gets to line up against….They’re going to have to learn quick if they’re going to be going against JJ everyday in practice.
We’ll see how it shakes out come September.
Right now..just stew on it I guess..or Enjoy it. Whatever floats your boat.
Let´s see if this kid is an adequate replacement for Thielen. Surprised the Vikes took the 4th best WR at that spot, taking so much time on the clock indicates that grabbing him was not Plan A. Plan D, maybe.
Sad that the draft is almost over for the Vikes with nary a pick left. Curious if they pick a QB in the later rounds.
Did not see that one coming. Especially with Levis still there.
Also, FTP.
I like the pick. We’ve had an elite WR duo out there for years, hopefully this pick helps that to continue.
