Alright, so the season is officially underway, as the first game of the season is now in the books. My pre-game prediction:

I’m doing a lot more procedures now, and since there are far fewer rad tech students around I have a fairly stable cadre of technologist assisting me. I think since the itinerant rad is somewhat rough around the edges and I will be assuming the role full time in a couple more months they are anxious to please me. Despite my best efforts to do as much as possible myself they are always trying to anticipate my next move, adjusting the lights, adjusting the fluoroscope, handing me items, taking bits of garbage like a used gauze sponge off my tray, etc…
Then when I get home I get the, did you think the salad would put itself back in the fridge? To be fair, that criticism is pretty stable.
Nonetheless, think of being a surgeon. Patient belly all prepped and draped as you come in from the scrub sink, someone dresses you and puts on your gloves, your every ask is immediately attended to…

The 2.2 that they had back in the 90s was a solid motor. Had a 1994 Cavalier, sold it to my sister when I had about 120,000 miles on it. I think she finally parked it when it had 350,000 miles. Had a 5 speed, got great mileage.

If sinus infection caused it, you will likely need antibiotics. For that, I usually go to one of those “immediate care centers”. Can just go without appt., and most of them now have text ahead and they’ll give you a time for that same day.

Oh no. Definitely keep taking your antibiotic and try adding Sudafed. Google “ear still clogged after 3 days on antibiotics” or similar. I just did that, but too much info to share. Short version: not uncommon to take 2 weeks, could take 3 months if middle ear. May need to see ENT after 2 weeks.

I wear an earplug in my left ear for a few hours every Wednesday night (during recording for my YouTube channel) and I think I stuffed myself up last Wednesday.
I have special ear plugs that are designed not to push wax in deeper, but I couldn’t find ’em so I used a cheap foam plug – boom. can’t hear.
I’ve had good luck with the over the counter ear wash blasters in the past. I was actually pretty amazed how big of chunks came out.
these kinds of solutions are more needed now than ten years ago because so many people have ear buds in all day every day

It’s funny as I have been wearing hearing aids now for well over a year, and have had zero problems. The audiologist even gave me a handful of these tiny round donut doodads to replace the ones on the hearing aids when they get plugged with wax, and I have not had to replace them yet.
I love my hearing aids, BTW. Can mess with the “equalizer”, easily raise or decrease volume, stream music, mute them, etc. It is just so awesome to hear everything people have to say.

Yes, in noisy environments I can mute them. They are called open air or through type or some such thing which means there is a little air gap that allows ambient noise to still reach the ear drum, just like wearing a non occluding foam ear plug.
There are 14 volume steps. I only go above the lowest level when we are quietly watching TV or a movie. They also can be adjusted for wind noise, a noisy bar type environment, or a music hall, for example.
They’re amazing little devices but $$$.

It won’t transmit loud noises but a gun shot would hurt my hearing by getting around the edges of the non-occlusive speaker. I take off the hearing aids and wear muffs when I am doing something loud like working on the tractor, driving fenceposts, etc.
When I hunt I wear those 3M things that Rob recommended to me years ago. The ends that go in your ears look like those Japanese temples. They work great.

There’s a lot to explore! I’m interested in the SEO scores for these articles. Since the mythical words up top are skipped by many regulars, seems like a good opportunity to do some keyword stuffing to bring in new folks.
I’ve been working on it, it’s just all gibberish to me. I change words around to get it from red to orange, and occasionally from orange to green.
One easy tip: sub “Minnesota” or “the Vikings” or “Minnesota Vikings” for more generic phrases like “the team” or “their” (as in “their offense” or “their running game”). It makes the text a little funny to read, but the Google spiders love it.

I don’t scroll with my mouse – I use my Page Down key and look for yellow, then hit my Home key when I get to the bottom.
I’ll also use ctrl+f and search for my user name, that will take me to all of my comments and direct replies to my comments.
I’m on a PC, of course.

I hit 50 in January, and my drinking has slowed considerably the last few years. Can´t chug them anymore like I could when I was 20. So I´d say… once you hit 45 or thereabouts, the decline will set in noticeably. Slowly, but steadily.

He has done well, he doesnt have a much higher ceiling than we’ve already seen. So you already know my issues with him if he does well. His doing well is not enough to carry a team thats thin at depth in other places. He doesnt have the full leadership package, he folds mentally under pressure, he’s not comfortable taking risks when risks need to be taken and he is unable to run an offense on his own. And if thats your QB, he needs to be paid less, so the rest of the team can help make up for those weaknesses. If his cap hits were $25mil to $28mil I would say keep him until he retires, but that will never happen. He also comes off as “I just work here” on and off the field. Its not a good look. Im sure he’s a great guy, great dad, great husband, but he doesnt have what it takes to take THIS Vikings team where it needs to go. Thats it. And its never going to change.
