I was a bit busy yesterday, and I didn’t get on here, so I want to give a belated thank all of our military service members and veterans. Thank you for all that you do and all that you have done in order to preserve our freedom!
The Vikings look to continue their stretch of strong defensive play which has led to a nice winning streak. After an 0-3 start, the Vikings have gone 5-1 over the past 6 games, which puts them at 5-4 and in the playoff picture. Josh Dobbs makes his second start for the purple and gold. He led the offense to their first 30+ point last Sunday after only having been on the team for a few days. If he can eliminate the fumbles and also continue to grow into this offense, he could be what the Vikings need in order to put together a strong second half of the year.

Had to settle for Red Zone, but still had fun and enjoyed the game. You can tell the players are having fun too. I don’t know how long this magic will last (hopefully get some injured guys back and Hock is OK), but for now, I’m just enjoying the ride. Feels good to be excited about a Vikings game again. Great win, but much too close in the 4th quarter. Beating the *aints feels almost as good as beating the FTP, so all is well. Dunno where the offense disappeared to after the 1st drive of the 3rd quarter, but the team secured the W, which is all that matters in the end.

Blocking is not even remotely easy in the ribs.
Especially if you’re a TE and the defender is planning on jamming you. A guy is going to slam the shit out of your ribs on his initial punch.
Blocking is brutal on rib injuries.
First thing a defender will do is explode his arms right under your rib cage and try and move you.
Blocking with a rib injury is not better than catching balls.

Then go watch a video of jamming a TE. Proper technique your hit him square in the ribs and I know from experience that it hurts. A lot.
