Vikings vs. Commanders Discussion
The 4-8 Vikings are in the midst of a very disappointing season, and a loss today could mathmetically eliminate them from the playoffs. The 3-9 Commanders are in the same boat, a disappointing season that began with high hopes. I’ll never root for my team to lose, regardless of potential playoff positioning. Our GM can’t draft anyway. I hope J.J. McCarthy comes out and has a breakout game that boosts his confidence and helps get his career on a better trajectory. 9-8 is still a possibility, let’s make it happen. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have not watched it, missed 2pt conversation although I heard it was ‘controversial’ or ‘bad play’ or some such.
Sanders had them in it, threw for over 350 yards, had them wo where a 2 point conversion would’ve tied it. They took Sanders out & went into the wildcat, Judkins got the snap, it looked like he didn’t know the play or something, it ended horribly. Just a Browns way to end a game. Sanders looked sharp.
Got the snowblower out today, ran it a bit, parked in the warm garage now. I’ll change oil tomorrow, it’ll be ready for action. We got another 2 inches or so today.
Moved the bikes to the shop, brought home the ice house & ice fishing gear. A local lake is said to have 3 to 4 inches of ice all the way across, plenty thick to walk on. I need to get out this week.

He could have run for the first and then had a few try for the TD.
Really odd choice there by Williams. You’re right. He could have gotten the first down, but puts up a duck instead. Way underthrown, rolling to his left. Bad.

Yup, refs deciding the outcome of another game. The call on the field was over-ruled, that makes it even worse.

Cousins threw two interceptions today. Atlanta only put 9 points on the board.
$40 million just doesn’t buy as much as it used to.
Both interceptions were on tipped balls at the point of reception. Not bad passes. Just the stuff that happens. Multiple dropped passes today too. One of the four games I had on, so saw what happened. That said, Cousins had zero protection and zero open receivers all game. It was a bad day for the Falcons offense.
So the standard “it wasn’t his fault” defense.
NO, just putting things in context. That’s OK though. We all know you just hate Cousins. Yawn.

At least his stats were a little bit better than Brosmer last week vs the same defense.

JJ (QB) with a 129.2 QBR, 163 yards, 3 TDs, 0 Ints and took 4 sacks.
A solid day of work I would say.
The offense putting together another long drive to put it away. I love what I saw today.

I know it’s the redskins, and their defense has been decimated with injuries, but JJ made a lot of good throws today.
I’m mostly encouraged by the play calling today, I loved the offense.

How much you want to bet that people on Twitter will complain that JJ didn’t throw for enough yards.
They will. But the team as a whole only has 263 yards. Outside the drive starting at the 1, defense and special teams has kept them on the plus side with field position.
They used the run a lot more, controlled the ball. I’m fine with games like this.
Nice balance of run and pass today. More runs than passes and about 50/50 split in yards.
Time of possession is reflective of that, 34:13 to 25:08. I assume that number isn’t updated since it doesn’t add up to 60:00
