9:15 p.m. ET: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am – Statement on Round 4
The storm affecting the Monterey Peninsula throughout the day Sunday is forecast to continue into the early hours of Monday with very strong winds. Although conditions are forecast to improve through the morning Monday, after consultation with Monterey County emergency authorities, who have implemented a Shelter in Place order until early tomorrow morning for the greater Pebble Beach community, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all constituents, there will be no play on Monday.
Therefore, in accordance with the PGA TOUR Regulations the tournament results will be final through the conclusion of 54 holes.

The stupidity of this “sporting event” has reached epic proportions.
With 27 of his players a free agent at the start of 2024, KAM will establish the future of the Vikings this offseason. He can replace over half the roster. The next 4 months or so will show us what KAM has in regards to building a team.

I agree. But what I think KAM is considering right now is:
No on Wilson, he won’t sign a one year deal and he will want a NTC and guaranteed $$. Doubt he could run KOCs offense in any case.
JJ for a huge haul has to be considered. It would define KAMs legacy and he would have to get the picks right or he would be run out of town. Given his draft history he would not be long in Minn.
Agree with all of this SoCal. I do think KAM thinks he’s smarter than the average bear though, and I think he’s looking to make a big splash this year.
He might think he needs to make a ‘big splash’ but I would rather he just got it right.
Lots and lots of ‘moving parts’, he has the brain power, supposedly, but like many ‘smart people’ he may not have the common sense.
He’s a finance guy, who has displayed very little football acuity to date, in my opinion.
We will have to see if the Peter Principle in play.
We already have a ‘Cap Guy’ would think we have some decent ‘football’ guys around. Just need someone to put it all together.
In the end, a team hires a GM to do mainly one thing. Build a Championship team. Skillful Cap management is a must, but in the end, bringing in the right players is the bottom line. Cine is amongst the big busts that leap to mind when I think about KAM’s team building skills. We dropped 20 spots in the draft to pick up an extra 3rd round pick. Galling. Kyle Hamilton was the pick there, and KAM blew it. Wasn’t thrilled with the Booth, Ingram or Asamoah picks either. Brining in free agents like Lowry, and Davenport too. Since he came to the organization, he might have hit on two or three players, max. Unlike most people, I am not impressed with guys like Ivan Pace either.
IP Jr is decent, looks better since he was UFA.
KAM lucked out on Addison when he could trade the pick. I give McCardell the credit for choosing him.

Sir Charles is a very opinionated person. The few times I hear his opinions (usually around March Madness), I usually enjoy them because I agree or just because he is so funny. I’m not sure why people are saying that Swift ruined football. Just ignore her. I trash on her more now because of the more exposure I get to her in my world with her being in “football”, but she hasn’t ruined football. The NFL has ruined football.

Indeed. Not sure when exactly this process started, but it’s pretty evident now IMHO that the NFL is mainly entertainment.
Only natural probably that they brought in a “star” from another big entertainment industry, so to speak. I don’t mind her that much, but I get why people can be annoyed about it.
I think the Russel Wilson to the Vikings narrative has some traction. I am not a Wilson fan, but he still has some celebrity “star power” the Wilfs might be attracted to. Can he run KOC’s offense, as designed? I don’t think so. Does he still have the legs to make big plays on his own? I don’t think so. Can he throw the deep ball to JJ? Yep. Will the media fawn over him? Absolutely.
I hate Wilson so much that I would prefer the Vikings sign Kirk to a 4 year fully guaranteed deal at 50 mil per year with a no trade clause vs bring in Wilson for 1 dollar.

We discussed Wilson yesterday afternoon and I came to the conclusion we don’t have to worry about it much.
Here was my summery/rational.
Let me summarise:
So if Denver cuts Wilson is able to sign wherever he would like. He would still get paid $39 Large by Denver for 2024.
That means his signing would cost less for any new teams since his first $39M will be offset.
For example if he signs for say $50M, for example, then the new team would be on the hook for $11M for 2024 and any follow up years/guarantee/NTC he would want.
There is no reports that Wilson is willing to sign a 1 year deal or pass on the guarantees or NTC (like he had in his last deal) for any additional years.
Conclusion:
If we could get him on the 1 year deal with a $39M discount I would say sure. But that doesn’t seem likely that he would sign that since he is getting long in the tooth and probably had only one more big payday left.
And a trade (which Denver would much prefer) would be even more complicated. *See Brock Osweiler*
I thought there was a limit teams could pay him since he signed a guaranteed deal. Vet minimum would be the most a team would have to pay him I thought.
