Aloha everyone, and welcome to Skoloholics! Join us here to cheer on the Minnesota Vikings as they take on the Packers at US Bank Stadium. The Packers sit with the same record as the Vikings as 7-8. The Vikings top CB Byron Murphy is out with injury, Packers top CB Jaire Alexander is for suspension. For the full inactives list see here.
Jaren Hall makes his second NFL start. He started back in week 9 at Atlanta. He looked ok in that game, after a quick 3 and out on the first possession he drove the team into the redzone on the next, but he suffered a concussion on that possession and hasn’t played since. Hopefully he just doesn’t turn the ball over, that was a major problem with the last two guys that started, but you never know with rookies, they typically make rookie mistakes. Jordan Addison is active and it looks like he’ll play, so that’ll definitely be of benefit to the rookie. On the defensive side it looks like Blackmon will also suit up and play, which no minor development with Murphy out. O’Neill is also set to make his return from injury on the oline, good news because the Vikings need all the help they can get. One last injury note nugget, 4th string Safety Theo Jackson is out with injury, which means fan favorite Lewis Cine will be active for the first time since week 3 I believe.

I’m done with this team until next year…..
Happy New Year all! Sad ending tonight. Lots of things to consider moving forward.
Happy New Year everyone
That’s was pathetic.
Happy New Year guys and good night.
Good night!
Hoping you all have a safe and prosperous 2024!
Happy New Year!
SKOL!
Very uninspired play tonight.
Nobody open on 4th down for Mullens.
Three guys on JJ and he makes the catch.
He is amazing
First down at the 17 yard line
Did we actually ever stop?
Why are they talking about Kirk? It is not Tuesday.
Even KAM is laughing at this team
Saw that… WTF? This is the team you built… nice job. laugh MFr laugh…
Yep, kinda pissed me off, too.
JJ falls down on the route…
33 – 10
Lovely…
The announcers annoy me. Just because the Packers are winning doesn’t mean they are any good.
3rd and 7… can we get a stop?
Not gonna be a Happy New Year tonight.
The crowd is singing “Living on a prayer”
lol
We can’t get any pressure and we can’t stop the run.
Yep, amazing, isn’t it?
We only need three TD’s to win the game.
Love with wide open throwing lanes and no pressure, throwing to wide open receivers.
Come on D!
Starting Hall was a massive mistake by KOC…
I’m glad they started him so the delusional people can stfu about Hall being some sort of option at QB
KOC caving to public opinion is a clear weakness.
I don’t think its public opinion, Mullens threw the game away last week, providing a clear avenue to play Hall, and the FO has been pushing to play Hall.
There is no way KOC doesn’t know Hall isn’t nearly ready to face a real NFL defense yet.
Hall looked fine his first start, don’t know what was so different this time, but it didn’t surprise me because he sucks.
Hall had some very easy throws in the one game, and one drive he led, that was almost successful. His first read was there every time and the running game was working for him. Sort of beginners luck if you will.
That’s what I saw ftmp as well, but he did make a couple second reads in that game but everything was easy. He had multiple wide open easy second reads early in this game and simply locked on to the first. He absolutely sucks. I would have benched him much earlier.
with this D, it doesn’t matter who plays QB for us.
I’ve been told here wins and losses are a QB stat
So we are down by 20 in the fourth.
I saw it happen against the Bears way back in the Gannon days. Let’s repeat that for fun. Just need Ditka raging against Harbaugh, too.
Just need a Todd Scott pick 6 to spark the comeback
I can still remember that game plain as day. My uncle was visiting, so I had to sit on the floor. No one was really paying attention to the game because it was so dismal, but as soon as that pick six happened, you could just see the whole game change, and you knew something awesome was going to happen.
I remember it plain as day too, my mom took us kids to visit my aunt in Rapid City and nobody else even cared about the game, but I watched the whole thing and jumped up yelling when Scott made the pick 6. It was like the only decent play he made in his entire career.
I quit watching, but I noticed a number of Viking players who look like they’ve completely checked out, and not just young guys. Evans has sucked all night and has had no interest in making tackles, Blackmon too. Hunter looks like he’s giving half effort a fair amount of the time, Smith looks like he’s just going through the motions. Reminds me of a few years ago against Indy in 2016 with a playoff game on the line they just came out and gave up after a couple bad plays.
We have 10 points
About time
Mullens to Mundt… TOUCHDOWN
Mundt!
TD!
Skol!
My brain has been so programmed by these guys, that I momentarily thought, “Vikes muffed the punt. Figures…”
Then I realized it was in our favor!
Well we got first and goal with a muffed punt recovery!
Thompson!
What a GD embarrassment!
Lifeless, uninspired football.
Gross
Looks like the team has quit… sad.
Ugly. Wonder what Kumbaya Kev will have to say.
So far, so bad
Go Bears
Playoffs? 😂
My wife just asked me why I’m still watching this. My answer was that I don’t know.
Same here
I’m watching to see KOC and Flores get in a fight. I can see the rage building in KOC’s jaw. He’s going to pop someday.
Wide wide open for another TD.
WTF?
The Vikings look like they’re just playing out the string.
Somehow, some way, we need a turnover.
Somehow, some way, we need this curse removed.
Our DB’s just don’t want to tackle.
I’m losing faith in our coaches
Everybody has figured out how to beat our defense. Very disappointed.
Akaleb Evans getting run over tonight.
man, the defense isn’t there tonight.
Have some pride, defense. Sheesh.
Bummer, but I am okay they went for it on fourth down. Might as well.
Mullens can still be a hero. The main challenge is he really has no slack for his patented turnovers at this stage. He has to be perfect.
Any QB we have back there has to be perfect or this team has no chance.
How is that not a flag?
‘Because the officiating is the best it has even been’.
