Welcome to Skoloholics! Game two is in the books, and the Vikings are now 1-1. The team looked horrible. The offense stunk, the defense, stank, and the special teams wasn’t so bad. Overall, they were not fun to watch tonight. Now H. Smith is out with a concussion. Stick a fork in ’em, they’re done.
First Half:
Offense: Bad, with the exception of one very impressive drive. Irv is not doing well, other than one TD catch. He dropped an easy TD pass that would have made a huge difference in this game. O line is doing their job fairly well, and Kirk is okay, but not good enough, and he’s had time to throw. We need more from most facets of the offense.
Defense: Mostly garbage with the exception of one drive so far, I believe. We’re down by 17, and it should be more.
Special Teams: Hey, a bright spot! I love our new punter, and he’s getting a workout tonight. Coverage teams have done their jobs. Yay.
Overall, it was a bad half of football for the Vikings.
Second Half:
Man, this is ugly. It’s laughable. Kirk is playing horribly, he’s thrown two interceptions already, and it’s almost been at least two more. LOL, this is hilarious. He’s thrown three interceptions already this half, and it’s almost been at least two more. Those red zone interceptions are painful, mmmmmmkaaaaaaayyyy? Why am I staying up for this? Ha! I’m dumb, apparantly. This is fugly. We’re still down by 17, it should be more. This is ugly. Why does Kirk keep throwing at Slay? Maybe don’t do that anymore, it doesn’t appear to be working.
Summary
Here is the game summary, stats, and highlights, courtesy of ESPN. The Minnesota Vikings looked horendous throughout this game. The defense showed occasional signs of life, but not a lot of much of anything. The offense……LOL. Yeah, good one, huh? Hey, our punter looked good, and so did our punt coverage team. Yay. Bad showing by the Vikings. It’s 24-7, and I assume it will stay here. I feel dirty having watched this game. Icky.
Tonight, I’m thankful that I no longer drink. Doomers celebrate, you’ve earned it. SKOL!!!!

Oh my, sorry GF, what a horrible chore to have to write a summary after this game. I’m sure last week’s summary, when we beat the Packers and made Rodgers miserable all night, was a lot more fun to write about.
Yep, ’twas an ugly game. You take the bad with the good. Thankfully, it’s only football. As we both know, there are far more important things in life.

Wow, what a great game!!! I can’t believe how close we kept it. We only lost by 3 scores, I thought for sure we would lose by four or five. Looks like next week w/the Lions will be more of the same.
At leastt we won one game this season and it was the packturds!!

We should have lost by more than we did, we were dominated in most phases of the game. It was ugly from the start, with the exception of one drive. Wow, Kirk was horrible.
What was beakers qbr this game? Doubt he’s in the MVP conversation much this week.
