Welcome to skoloholics!!!! Well, well, well, now wasn’t that a fun game to watch!? The Minnesota Vikings offense came in and set the tone for the game on the first series, establishing a 7-0 lead, and the Vikings never looked back. The Vikings defense held one of the league’s top offenses to 7 points. Final score was 23-7 good guys. Here are the game stats, courtesy of CBS Sports.

First, the offense. Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson stole the show. As of this writing, JJ has 184 receiving yards on 9 catches with two touchdowns. I have JJ on my fantasy team, by the way, and he got me over 36 points in this game. Kirk Cousins was also stellar, completing 23 of 32 passes for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns.
All facets of the defense stood out in a good way. The D line was able to generate pressure, the middle defense did a great job shutting down the run, and the secondary looked good against the pass and in run support. Harrison Smith and Eric Kendricks seemed to be EVERYWHERE, and Za’Darius Smith seemed like he was playing with some extra intensity.
For special teams, Greg the Leg was perfect on field goals and extra points, Ryan Wright had a great day punting, and the coverage and return games did their jobs.
All-in-all, this was a tremendous way for the Vikings to start their season. The good guys won, and I’m not aware of any major injuries. If you’re a fan of the Vikings, you have every reason on earth to be very happy with your team today. SKOL!!!!!
THAT was a fun game to watch!
erin’s post game presser is a classic
LOL – I can’t wait to go through all of the videos today
Was he drinking Grape Crush?
Lol@GB playing zone against JJ… he ran through about 5 zones on every play and the plays were designed well enough that the defenders were usually off covering someone else in their zone.
it was pathetic defense
Aaron Rodger during the game.
Delicious!
So Irv Smith was another nothing burger today.. Friggen jj going to get 50 mill a year next contract.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise that was. We sucked way less than most expected and the pack sucked way more than most expected. We also didn’t have any major injuries. All in all an entertaining game we got lucky in. Take it when it comes our way!! Skol!
I thought we made our own luck. It was to be exoectef, we play them pretty tough in most of our matches. Dont we lead the series the last 5 or 6 years?
We are still on track for 13 – 3!
Dropped td pass was shit luck and that goal line stand was the game. Throw those 2 tds in and it would have been a different ballgame. Pack looked like shit.
Maybe we made them look like shit? We gave up 1 sack, had 0 turnovers, and we kept them off balanced. Did everyone see we went to “no huddle” at least twice. Some great 4th down stops…. we made our own luck.
You’re talking to Eeyore, don’t bother.
I liked the no huddle look. They need to do that more often. Let’s see if we can keep it up for another week.
I figured you’d be taking the victory pretty hard. Hopefully you can get over it some day.
As I said, it’s nice to be pleasantly surprised every once in a while. We have 16 more weeks and 15 more games to go. No injuries is amazing. Maybe greasy Adolf is doing some voodoo magic mon!
Oh yeah. This happened.
Great Game, Vikes! SKOL!!
This one went pretty well, all things considered ๐
Fuck the Packers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
