Alright, well the Vikings are still 2-1 and are still sitting atop the division. It hasn’t been a pretty trip, but that’s where we are for right now. Most people didn’t expect the Vikings to be 2-1 at this point in the season, so it seems that they’re sitting in a pretty good spot. The team obviously has issues to work out on both sides of the ball, and I fully expect that the coaching staff is doing what they can to shore up the weak areas.
Areas of Concern:
In my opinion, the most pressing areas of need are (in no particular order) the passing offense and the defense (rush defense and pass coverage). Much of it seems to be a scheme/coaching issue, with the exception of the occasional poor play of the quarterback. Who knows? Maybe that is coaching related as well, but for some reasons, Kirk Cousins has not looked very comfortable at all this year. He seemed to be really smooth in the first half of the Packers game and even into the second half, he still looked in control. However, he looked like a completely different quarterback against both the Eagles and Lions.
Whatever it is, these areas certainly need to see improvement if this team plans to compete this year. They’re fortunate to be 2-1, but that’s better than being 1-2 and thinking you got hosed to get there.

I had my garage remodeled this summer. Had the floor done with that fancy stuff that MT did (I am not a real man like MT so had to hire it done…..had the sheet rock finished and painted…the contractor recommended those lights….they are fantastic….

Yep, toward the bottom in yards, 30th in passing yards allowed, but not surprising with as soft as they’ve been playing the pass. They need to adjust what they’re doing, get more aggressive at the line, knock off the timing of the WR’s route, make them uncomfortable. They’re just allowing them to run the offense with no resistance, no pressure.
The worst is playing back too far at the start of the play and letting the WR’s get up a head of steam so that we’re left in the dust.
Yeah. We tend to play Leslie Frazier style cover 2, spot the other team 2 scores, and then tighten up.
It’s no fun watching the other teams receivers running free through our weak zones.

Yeah, that’s why we’ve been careful with adding things. The more you add, the more the site will slow. The z key is really the only other feature that I consider necessary to be added. Once we add that, I can remove the bubble feature, so the net gain/loss on site speed might be little or nothing.

lol. I enjoy more IPAs in the summer, Stouts in the winter. But my favorite is always the mix of the two. Red/Black/Brown IPAs, get the malt balancing the hops. The other thing I am always looking for is a full flavored good Pils. I figure anyone can hop the shit out of a beer but to get a Pilsner that is full flavored and balanced is tough.

Pets taking on the personality of their neighbors may have some validity. My neighbors are two, women, I guess you could call them, who are odd in appearance and behavior. Once had one of their packages delivered to me by mistake, and they literally cracked the door six inches to receive it and couldn’t even say, “Thanks.”
They have two cats who skulk around all weird and poop everywhere, and they have about five whippets that bark at any person who walks by on the street.
The house they bought was once very nice and is now going to seed. One side is lined with weed planters for breeding butterflies. I can’t imagine what the inside is like now with two cats and five dogs.
One can basically hear the phantom taunts of bullies whenever these women go outside. I get that, but we all got problems to overcome.

Probably. Hopefully, they move away at some point. Their house had a nice lawn, too, but they put a fence up around everything so the dogs can run around outside. They don’t trim around the fence, so the grass grows about two feet high against it. One of them is a teacher, so she does nothing but watch TV, eat donuts and smell her own farts three months a year. Get out there and trim, lady!

I have pet allergies, and can say that I have been around Siberian cats with no suffering.
I take Xyzal daily for seasonal stuff and dog allergies.

It’s a lot like the difference between people who enjoy Tool’s music (I do), and Tool fans (yikes)
Tool is a weird band to me. I really like some of their songs, Sober, Prison Sex, Stinkfist, Vicarious, etc., but I find a lot of their other stuff a bit monotonous.
Sometimes I think they built Vicarious around a throw-away riff from Megadeth’s Holy Wars, which is fine.
Tool is a bit hit-or-miss with me, but the hits are really, really good.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy wearing a Tool shirt that didn’t look like he just climbed out of a months-long basement quarantine.

The smart ones are rare. In all honesty, I would visit with the owners of a doggie daycare, if you know them. My wife was thinking the same and asked at the daycare we took our vizsla (of course I wanted a purebred Lab for obvious reasons but she thought oh you can train any dog to hunt hahaha). They were honest that most at the daycare had behavioral problems and many have coat problems. There are good doodles to be sure but just do your homework.

Even dumber than a purebred lab? Both breeds were bred for hunting. Although, I don’t remember what type of hunting poodles were meant for.
Poodles were bred to retrieve downed waterfowl.
Richard Wolters mainly used Labs in his training books “Gun Dog” “Water Dog” “Family Dog” etc. Although I used his methods with my vizslas, the whole program really clicks with the Lab. He truly seems to enjoy a little lesson every evening, likes when I throw in a twist or two. Basically he is bred to be taught. Last night I was assembling two shelving units and asked him to retrieve a parts bag that was out of my reach. First he brought me the ball, then a shelf support, but third try got the parts bag. Butt wiggled so much he’s just so happy to please.
He’ll work his way up to retrieving the Ranger out of the shop for you when yer in the house.
Speaking of Rangers, and I also am attuned to the fact that skoloholics find it odd that I not only converse but can fence with my wife’s ex, but my wife’s ex is going to gift his “old” side by side (newer than mine) to the grandkids after he gets his new side by side. The gift day will be at Thanksgiving. Definitely a good thing as they currently use a golf cart they call their Jeep to drive around on and that cart seems very unsafe. Of course back in the day if I had to travel further than I could quickly walk (defined as roughly half a mile) we traveled on those three wheeled ATV death machines sans helmet.

Had the three-wheelers all over Alaska, too. People zipping up and down beaches, as well as taking headers into trees everywhere.
I kid about the intelligence of labs. They’re just goofballs. They’re my favorite breed and it isn’t close. But I’d get a labradoodle if I was going to get a dog. I don’t like animal fur on my clothes or furniture.

Yeah I think most thought somewhere around .500, looking at the schedule I figured 1-2 out of the gate and 3-3 after the first six games. Looks like 4-2 is a fair possibility.

I love dogs. I mean I really love dogs, for some reason even stranger’s dogs gravitate around me, sniff my crotch, I sniff theirs, you know how it goes. But by dog, I only mean real dogs that are appropriately 35 pounds or more. Those little companion toy dogs are evil little bastards, and the reason they are is #1 the stupid fucking owners. I have lost count of the number of times that someone is lightly holding the leash of a Pekingese or Bichon or miniature Poodle and the dogette is barking furiously and growling at my Choco or Vizsla and they say something totally fucking moronic like, oh she just wants to play. My dogs in my lifetime have been bitten by those fucking turds multiple times and it is always the same dumb expression from their idiotic owners when I give their dog a swift boot in the ribs that sends them six feet plus like I can’t believe that happened and I say grab your fucking dog and spank it like you mean it do you have no fucking idea how to train a dog you sure as fuck don’t let them have the leash and act aggressive my Vizsla/Lab could snap their neck like a chicken bone but didn’t because I took the time to fucking train them. After that polite exchange not once have they offered to pay the bill should my dog need veterinary care. The only good thing is I have never had a repeat encounter.
Ultimately it is all human’s faults as they bred these companion dogs but come on just because they are small…no one thinks they are “cute” when they snarl and bark.

Really? That seems odd. They had one out at Hazelden, that dude was cool, seemed intelligent. They say that Golden Retrievers are really smart, but ours is dumber than a bag of hammers, so I suppose you have variation within every breed.
Goldens are so lovable, my wife covets one. I say no thanks because the coat care causes me despair. I’m at the best time of a dog’s life with my Lab now, he knows to be chill around the cows and horses and chickens, knows not to try and cross a cattle guard, knows how to cross fences, knows to stay on the driveway if I am out working on the tractor or drive away over the hill, knows to avoid snakes and porcupines and skunks, etc…Sigh. He is six. Time to start looking forward to house training, bark training, hunt training, etc…in a few years.
Labs are the best. I’ve been pretty happy with our newest. Just need to see if he’ll actually point a bird and not just me or wings on a string.

Best dog we ever had we found abandoned at a lake. He was also a German Shepherd. He was nothing but skin and bones. He had so many wood ticks on him that it looked like bunches of grapes hung from his ears.
He was an amazing, amazing, amazing dog, though. He is one of only three things I miss in life.

That’s how I feel about my huskies. They were part timber wolf, really awesome dogs. One of them lived to 15.
Huskies are great dogs. Another good cold-weather dog is a Norwegian Alkhound, but they shed enough to knit blankets for an army every year.
My huskies shed, but they weren’t bad as long as I brushed them regularly. I used one of those Furminator brushes, worked like a charm.
Bad pet owners are the worst. One of my friend’s wife had to put down their dog (similar to Baxter in the gif but not quite the same and less than a year old). Buddy had just left for the weekend. The neighbor was watching somebody’s pitbull and it came over and attacked their dog. Wife, is holding their 1 year old, and this all takes place at her feet because their dog was protecting her and their 4 year old. She tried to break it up I think and the pit went after her. She had to bail and get the kids in the house and their dog was beyond saving. Neighbor comes over and says, oh sorry about that and walks away.
I know a lot of people love pits but frankly they scare the shit out of me. They can be sweet but they will not stop in a fight until one of the dogs is dead.

See, gypsies like to let their attack dogs roam free a bit so that the dog catcher would take them in, and the state covers the vaccination fees and whatnot for them. Well, that particular pack went after a dude being on his way home from work, and those fucking hellspawns couldn´t be stopped until they literally chewed the guy to pieces. He survived, just barely, and what remained of him reminds me of Metallica´s One. I´m not a dog person as such, but they don´t bother me that much if they behave, but there are a few races and breeds that just have to be put down. Every single fucking one of them.

One time a neighbor’s dog came into my yard and barked at my kids while they were trying to walk to the bus stop. They were in elementary school at the time. I chased the dog back to his yard (he’s lucky I didn’t catch him), and waited with my kids until the bus came. I then went straight to my neighbor’s front door.
“Here’s what happened. I’m not going to call the cops. If I catch your dog on my property, you’ll never see it again.”
Dog stayed in the fenced part of the yard after that.

I had a cat that was a hunter. brought a live bird into the house, brought a live baby bunny into the house – caught several mice/chipmunks/squirrels and left them for us.
fought something mean and survived and walked away, once. I never found out what it was. Came home bloody (scratched up face), took a nap, was back to hunting the next day.
We had a pet rabbit in the back yard. Dug holes like they do, and one day an opposum shows up and kicks the crap out of the rabbit. Had to “put it down”. Opposums are nasty.

This is what’s called a salmon purse seine setup… Little dinghy attached to big boat with end of net attached to dinghy, too.
When big boat finds a good place to drop net, taking into due consideration tides, wind, fish sightings, etc, big boat releases dinghy, which is still attached to net, and then zooms away.
Fish congregate on the side of net trying to get through to go up and spawn, while dinghy and big boat circle around in a reconnected kumbaya group hug.
Net is slowly brought on board by big boat through seine block, until only small pocket, or purse, remains, and then the net is hoisted aboard, hopefully with a million fish.

MT – my wife thought she broke her collarbone, but it wasn’t broken, it was knocked out of place. Not sure the technical term for the injury, but her father (retired gouger) told her it was extremely unlucky and she could’ve gone off that bike jump a hundred times without suffering that particular injury.
