We recently reported that Kirk Cousins was nominated for the FedEx Air NFL player of the week. It’s now official, the following was just forwarded (thanks Rob!).
The fans have spoken, and the winners have been chosen! Kirk Cousins has been awarded the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week.
Cousins won for his outstanding performance completing 34 of 54 attempts (63 percent) for 460 yards and two touchdowns for a 99.3 passer rating in Week 15.
By winning the FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week Award, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation in Kirk’s name to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), which will be applied towards needs-based scholarships to deserving HBCU students.
Also, Rhamondre Stevenson of the New England Patriots was awarded FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week for his outstanding performance rushing for 172 yards on 19 attempts (9.1 avg.) and one touchdown in Week 15.
