I have an ad blocker on my computer, but not on my mobile devises. The ads on mobile are onerous. On my tablet if I come on the site and it has a full page ad which I have to close, for some reason that must refresh the page or something, because all of the comments are marked as read. That doesn’t happen if there is no full page ad when I come to the comments.

I think if you step back from the analytics and stats and look at purely how the game went with the things that aren’t measured like the severity of quarterback hits that he took and then was able to execute on the Jefferson TD along with just running the offense against a very good defense and scoring 27 points when the Jets had allowed no more than 22 all in all I think he was pretty good.
IMO he just barely did enough to win, missed way too many throws to land in “pretty good” territory.

Bentleyville is always great, I love christmas lights. The Julebyen festival was pretty cool, it was much smaller than I had imagined with ended up being a good thing, my one criticism is they have no alcohol, which would be nice an a balmy December day up nort, like a hot apple cider with a couple shots of Vodka or a stiff Irish coffee. Kids activities were cool.

What did they with that was get rid of a massive contract (potential) and drafted Burks, who is a stud in his own right, now on a rookie contract. There’s an argument to be made that while Brown is a certified stud, he may not be worth a massive contract when you have Tannehill at the helm. I think they are set up relatively well if their new QB and Burks can grow together.
Don’t think it was a terrible trade tbh, but it doesn’t look good given Brown’s year. Hurts and that offense is WAY more conducive to have a great WR than Tennessee’s tho.
Team should be in win-now mode with Tanne and Henry there and the push for a new stadium. Trading a stud like AJ, hoping you can replace that production with a lesser talent when a guy like Tanne is throwing the ball is a questionable decision imo.
I don’t think this trade was the sole reason, but I don’t think it helped his cause.

I get people not enjoying/liking their music personally but you have to have respect for what they did and accomplished. They were responsible for a lot of shifts in music and changed/helped spark many genres/subgenres of music.

I think that had much more to do with the media hype, even back then. The Beatles got picked as the hot new shit to sell to the great unwashed, and the media ran with it.

They got picked because they were the first rock band, they were the first people to record music videos of their songs, they shifted the focus from creating singles to full albums, they made Hard Day’s Night which inspired all kinds of movies and TV shows (like The Monkees), etc etc etc etc

Not really fair to the Beatles but part of my “hate” for them always gets stirred up this time of year when we have to listen to Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmas” time for weeks on end. My least favorite pop-Christmas song by a wide margin and it sounds very “Beatles-esque”.

Just objectively they did SO much for modern music, guitar work, song writing, experimenting, taking chances etc… Everyone can have their opinion if they like their music or not. That’s fine but to discredit what they did for music as a whole is just plain ignorant of the reality of the situation.
I think it’s a fair bet that music would have made it here without the beatles.

They influenced every boy band since they came along so there’s that.
All the bands Metallica was influenced by may not have existed, and certainly not to the popularity they got to, without the Beatles.

More like Revolution, that song came out in 1968! People don’t get that because they just take it for granted what a big deal that that was for an established huge band like that to put out a track with for the times such an aggressive sound. There’s no doubt that song helped pave the way for punk and metal guitar tones and playing.

There’s not really any teams I’d fear. Mahomes and Allen in the playoffs you’d fear, but KC defense isn’t special and Buffalo defense in the playoffs is nothing to fear with Leslie Frazier’s lame ass playcalling with a lead late in the game lol. Philly isn’t really scary either but they are a better team than the Vikings. SF ain’t scary w/ Brock Purdy but is concerning with Jimmy. Miami is not scary at all, defense sucks and their offense will stall in cold weather. That’s about it.

SF smoked them earlier in the year, ran for 200 yards. Seattle sucks stopping the run, Purdy might not need to throw more than 15 passes, SF wins easily.

As it sits I think that’s what we’ll get with a chance to end up playing San Fran round 1. With Jimmy G out I could see the ‘Hawks taking the division. By the playoffs there will be tape on Purdy though and I don’t think he will look that Purdy. There’s a reason he was the last pick in the draft and it isn’t because he’s the next Brady.

SF has a very good team and though Garropolo isn’t elite he obviously makes them a better team, look at their record with and without him during Shanny’s time in SF. If Purdy is the starter the rest of the year they probably win that division but are not a legit threat for the SB. They matchup very well against the Vikings, especially defensively where they give up like 3 ypc and have more picks than TD passes given up. Jimmy G may not be out the rest of the season so we’ll see what happens but SF with Purdy I think the Vikings win.

Our offense is very lopsided. I hate to say this after the last few years of Zimmer, but we need to be running the ball more, especially when our passing game is struggling.
Klint Kubiak ran a better offense than the “innovative” and “genius” offensive mind of KOC. KOC should let someone else design the game plans and call plays, he’s a much better HC than he is OC.
It seems like they’re focused on being a “pass first” offense, it’s preventing them from being balanced. Vikes are among the top of the league in pass attempts, and near the bottom in rushing attempts. I think they need to lean on the run a bit more.

The cheating whore Log Cabin has secured the #1 seed and a 1st round bye, but like the Vikings will likely shit the bed in the playoffs. Skolly currently sits in the #2 seed but could conceivably drop to #3 with a loss this week and a kfey win, maybe I should try to lose to Kfey this week intentionally just to mess with Skolly, lol. Five’s team is 100% dogshit and he will not make the playoffs. Outside of Log Cabin, Skolly, and Kfey nobody is guaranteed a playoff spot headed into the final regular season game, DE is the only other team with a winning record at 7-6 but with 6 teams at 6-7 and 3 spots available its anyone’s guess who makes it or not, outside of the aformentioned dogshit Five team, GF is the only other team officially eliminated.

Fine by me. A couple of other thoughts I had though. It would be nice if the site showed if you are logged in or not in the banner. I get logged out about once a day and there are still weird things like if you open an open thread when you’re logged out then log in, the comment count grows drastically (like from 40 to 95 yesterday). Second, I think it would help if you share the stories on Fakebook from the group page and not from your personal page to the group page. They show up but for people that don’t know better, it looks like some random person sharing stuff to the group page. The stories ultimately are there, but it might be cleaner.
Can you tell me how to do this? I seriously have no clue, I don’t know jack about Bookface. The only way I get to that page is to go to my profile, then go to groups. Is there a way I can log directly in to the group?
I would think so but I’m not sure. I haven’t created a group. There should be a way as the administrator to share stories as Skoloholics but I couldn’t tell ya how.
I do it, but it shows up as myself being the one who posted it. I didn’t create a separate profile for Skoloholics, just a group. I think that’s how you’re supposed to do it. I did the same thing for another group I run.
I’m not sure. It was just a thought if it was easy. Having Skoloholics sharing stories instead of some guy named Brad might look more professional but I don’t know if you have to create a different account or how that would work.

we’re a motley crew right now. I’ve got a persistent cough and stuffed up nose, my oldest is staying home from school today and the other two have mild lingering symptoms.
wifey, however, went in for foot surgery yesterday and came out of it with an eye problem, go figure. the theory is that one of her eyes was only 99% closed while she was unconscious and there’s a strip of irritation where the eye dried out excessively, so I’ve been going to various doctors and pharmacies lately.
All I need is cough drops and a blanket, thank you very much!
In positive news, my younger son is out of his boot after breaking a bone in his foot in October, and he’s pretty excited about that.

Kiddo is sick, too. Had to cancel our ice fishing trip, he’s pretty bummed. Had a cough for the last month, but he’s gotten worse the past few days. Eyes are all full of junk, has a fever, & the cough won’t go away.

Sorry. Youngest grand has had a cough for at least 6 weeks, but never had a fever. They took her to doc a couple weeks ago because it wasn’t getting any better, got antibiotics, but didn’t help. Cough is finally getting better, just light and intermittent now.
