Well, Fabio son better comp %, much better TD:INT ratio, better ANY, better QBR and rating (I think both are kinda bs though) Kirk has better bulk stats in TD and yards though. Lawrence also rushed for 300 yards and 5 tds. Much more legit argument than Jones or a busted ass Jackson who probably won’t play and if he does his only useful skill is pretty much eliminated.

Not Trevor Lawrence not even a little. Kirk is twice the passer Trevor is and runs a much more sophisticated offense because he’s more experienced. Someday when Trevor develops if he developed yeah he has upside but that is not today.

If Kirk puts up strong games, the Vikings can go somewhere. It’s gonna take four in a row. Can’t have a meltdown game, or even a letdown game. The Vikings need to play well all-around if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs. It starts with Kirk. If he’s on, the team can overcome other areas of weakness. If Kirk is off, then everything else has to go perfectly in order for them to compete, and that’s just not gonna happen. So, Kirk has to play well for 4 consecutive games. Is he up to the challenge?
I saw a comment from Kirk (I think someone posted it here) the other day where he said the offense finally “clicked” for him in the 2nd Lions game. That’s great and all, but we lost that game and then got our asses handed to us by the Packers a couple weeks later. Doesn’t really inspire a lot of confidence.

I am more concerned with our Defense playing 4 consecutive games without a letdown. Come on. It is only 16 quarters of football!
We assume the defense will be flawed, we can only hope that they can rise to the level of league average or at least close to average. If they can do that and hold it for 4 games, it will be helpful.
That’s hoping that the defense, which has been bad, will be better against better teams. Takes a lot of hope to hope for that. I think it comes down to coaching, gotta hope they have something planned that will be effective.

Well DE, in 2020 Cousins had 14 strong to exceptionally strong games in a row… but since then he has had three in a row a number of times but not four in a row.
Here’s my beef. KOC came in saying he would build an offense around Cousins strengths. He hasn’t. Cousins best year was in 2016 when Jordan Reed was his “go to” guy. Using the TE and play action passing is Cousins bread and butter. KOC is hell bent on running a complex route running scheme where the receivers alter their routes on the fly based on what they see the defense doing. This leaves Cousins back there reading not only the defense, but also the receivers. Note in the last game of the season Thielen cut right towards the post in the end zone and Cousins threw the corner route to empty space. That’s week 17 and the offense is still not “there”. How about real timing routes, and receivers being where they’re supposed to be on the field on time?

My first duty station was up by Monterey, lived up there for almost a year. Awesome weather.

I grew up in a similar town, not knocking it but when you leave and see the rest of the world you realize how cool fashion and sophistication can be and not just ridicule it. Bought a Carhartt Swing-Free winter coat a few years back. Best coat I’ve ever owned. Doesn’t restrict movement at all and it’s incredibly warm and durable. Great brand.

Season needs to start in November and carry us all the way through winter. Think of a world where you have football to watch all winter long. You are playing fantasy football, you are talking teams chances while the snow blows and the days are short, and you come out of the Super Bowl to see Spring in the air.
