NVF you donโt watch games so you canโt analyze KOC or Kirk. Kirk statistically is having a down year compared to last year but KOC has him being more aggressive unlike Zim in years past.
Instead of the 5 yard dink throw heโs making Kirk throw deep 50/50 balls to JJ or whoever. Could lead to picks but sometimes not. Thus his 8 4th quarter comebacks which no QB has done outside Kirk this year.
KOC also raised the level of other players on the team. Not just Kirk.
Watch the games and the whole team on the TV before commenting stupid takes off box scores or stats
I watch the all 22 on NFL+. No sound, no commentary, no chicks commenting on the sidelines. Just me watching the plays and seeing the route concepts, defensive alignments and post snap shifts, and how poorly protected Cousins is at times trying figure out what his receivers are doing.
Teams Lightyears better than last year. Screw the clown Zimmer. Couldnโt adapt in modern day NFL.
Kirk and WRs are fine. If we lose in playoffs itโll be some BS ST play or our defense sucking which has happened frequently this year. It wonโt be the offense

This is a credit to Cousins AND the quality of the receiving corps. He’s made some spectacular throws while getting hit and they’ve made some spectacular catches while getting hit.

And yet there was someone saying around week 14 that Cousins had been hit 125 times which was the most since they had started tracking this in 2010. He has always been one of the most hit, knocked down, sacked, and pressured QB’s in the league and this year was no different. Only two other QB’s were sacked more than Cousins this year.

Interesting yes. But the formation of the line can be tricky with 3 TE’s in the game. For a legal formation, there must be seven or more players on the line. Eligible receivers must be on both ends of the line, and all of the players on the line between them must be ineligible receivers. With 3 TE’s in the game, you can add a WR and a RB to the formation. Thus two of the tight ends can end up being ineligible unless they are not on the line.
Hmmmโฆ.so in the formation above the far right TE moves up to the line heโs an eligible receiver as are the other two?

Well here is view of a three TE set. If implemented with the right personnel it can be a nightmare for any defensive coordinator. The key to this offense โ and a large part of the reason it hasnโt been seen much in the NFL โ is having the right set of personnel to implement it. Most essentially, you need three high-quality TEs who can both run-block at the point of attack and catch balls across the middle or on out-routes. More than that, at least one needs to have some decent speed and down-field capability.

My wife texted me the other day. The grocery store was pretty much out and it was $5 for a dozen.
I think is 4-5/dozen even at kwiktrip and aldi
my daughter in law in NoCal said she had to pay $11 since they only allow cage free eggs here now. I paid 4.50 out at the AF base.
$6 a dozen out here.
So basically the price is the same. You just need to buy 5-6 eggs at a time.
Paid 50 bucks for 100lbs of feed and some snacks for the chickens.
will last 4-5 weeks and get 10-14 eggs a day.
Think around 2.25/dozen when itโs said and done on the low end

I honestly donโt expect the Vikings to go very far in the playoffs. I feel like they should beat the Giants Sunday, but after that I think it gets rough for them.
The offense has not lived up to expectations this year and I put that at the feet of our new HC. He brought in an offense with what I have labeled an โadaptiveโ passing scheme. This scheme allows receivers to adapt (or alter) their routes as theyโre running them based on what they see the defense doing post snap. Thus not only does the QB have to read the defense, he has to guess where his receivers are going. Not a good combo for a QB who is a technician, not a playmaker. This is one reason Cousins stats dropped this season. Not actually knowing where his receivers are going to be.
One game at a time.
Uncle Hulka with the big toe is gonna find out how far he can stick it up the Giants’ ass.
ehโฆNVF has been critical of KOC with the few posts heโs made the past month. I get it his opinion and may be partially correct BUT (hereโs where I disagree) I think most offensive schemes are built with adjustments of routes in play because defenses are just too good at adjusting quickly to what youโre doing and youโre forced to fool them as well as take what they give in the moment. It just requires WR and QB to have a connection, like Allen and Diggs who may be the best at that currently. We to NVFโs point have seen a lot of โnot on the same pageโ throws to nobody and Thielen standing there looking stupid. Seems Cousins and KJ are always on the same page and JJ and Kirk most of the time.
Hereโs to hoping they can be better at that and they have been at times when theyโre clicking on offense and thatโs been a lot this year to stay in and win games. You just have to do it more consistently in the post season. So maybe NVF is right, they wonโt and it will be an early or expected exit. Hopefully KOC has a little something something up his sleeve that works.

Yeah, but heโs โno longerโ NVF, so you have to take that into consideration.
If he and his receivers are reading the defense the same he should know where they are, if they’re not on the same page, well that’s no bueno.
And that’s when you get the interceptions that look like he missed horribly. Sometimes he read it wrong, sometimes the WR read it wrong and he gets blamed for being trash.
Him and Raegor were not on the same page, JJ, KJ, and AT generally looked pretty on point for most of the season.
Now they just need to get Nailor up to speed..
Reagor seems like a fairly dim dude. Lots of physical talent, just not so many football smarts.
Give him a role like Patterson found in Atlanta and prosper (I realize you’d have to get him to agree to that too)

I would say that KOCโs end game management is very good.
That is huge in the NFL.
Overall, Cousins is unpredictable and the defense still sucks.
Likely a recipe for a smack down in the playoffs.

That reminds me, training the new two year old choco. Now, the six year old choco of course gets all bent out of shape when I have to loudly repeat a command to the two year old. The six year old also responds to being scolded by acting cute and wagging his butt like mad to make me laugh and forgive him. Not so Bubba, the sulk.
He’s a mild resource guarder, specifically food and stuffies (stuffed animals).
To deal with his growling when I place my hand between his mouth and the food bowl (he desperately tries to still get to the food and gives a low growl), I offer a treat while having a cheerful conversation as he is eating. Idea being he knows I don’t want his food. Well he eats a bowl in twelve seconds flat so I have to get in there fast…he tries to finish his food first so then I won’t give him the treat. Big sulk won’t look at me for two minutes.
More fun is the stuffy contest. He wants to offer it to me, then snatch it away growling at me. Got him to consistently drop it in my hand. Next I wanted to break him tugging, automatically let go if I grab for it. Last night I ended up on top of him, flat on his back with my teeth on his throat. What an epic struggle with an 80 pound Lab. I was doing grapples and leg holds to get him down. After that I got five minutes of sulking. Man, it was like sparring with a sweaty five year old that doesn’t want to put on a shirt and tie for church.

The advantage of getting them on their back is that is how I have always positioned my dogs to brush their teeth. It is easy when you start with a 7 week old pup. A bit more of a problem with a two year old. Of course he has to learn that when he brings a pheasant he can’t tear it out of my hand or chew on it.

Have you tried one of the food dishes with dividers in it? I had to get one for my dog because he would eat so fast that he would throw up sometimes. They work well but he will be uber pissed the first time you use it.
So far he hasn’t thrown up. To be honest, Bubba is all Lab, just the classic size and personality. If Bubba was our first and Tuck the adopted dog, we would think something was wrong with Tuck. He is much more dainty with food, hates being cuddled, doesn’t care if someone comes in the door, etc…

Was looking at that. He had about the same rushing yards this year as he had last year, but in 4 more games. The offense is certainly more pass-heavy now. Almost too pass-heavy at times, IMO.

I know, just ribbin ya a bit. I agree, they abandon the run far too easily, especially when it doesn’t seem to be working great. Even if you aren’t getting big chunks you have to stick with it to keep the defense honest and keep hope for play action.

I thought it was kind of interesting/funny that he won the Pro Bowl fan vote for best long snapper. I wondered how the hell most fans know a good long snapper from a bad one. Maybe they were reading PFF.
Not saying he’s not deserving. I just have a hard time evaluating long snappers (barring the obvious bad snap) when watching a game.
