We took a look at the Vikings’ potential compensatory draft pick allotment for the 2023 draft.
From the Strib, Les Steckel’s son, Luke, is working his way up the NFL coaching ranks. Steckel was actually a very good coordinator, he just wasn’t a good fit with the head coaching position, as Vikings fans know all too well.
Fansided has the Vikings pegged as a potential destination for Trey Lance.

Documents with classified markings were found at former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana home last week, officials confirmed Tuesday.

I think the time has come we should all check our own personal files because chances are you also have classified documents you’ve “inadvertently” kept.

Seems folks are bored. I recommend these two videos from Americas Untold Stories, laying out the evidence that LBJ was involved in the assassination of JFK. Likely by now most folks know what a mean, corrupt jerk he was, but it was even worse than I thought. Part 1 lays out the evidence that LBJ manipulated JFK to return to Dallas because LBJ could control everything that happens there, including law enforcement and having the body taken to the plane instead of the autopsy being performed in Dallas.
Part 2 is even more interesting involving the cover up and LBJ’s absolutely despicable behavior on the plane and how he treated Jackie.

Yes, I had heard that story long ago as well. He was a disgusting person (my goodness, his behavior on that plane was horrific), but even more corrupt than I thought. Just one example, he had the car transported (to Detroit IIRC) and had the front windshield replaced (to remove the evidence of a shot from the front) and had the whole car detailed to remove any evidence of anything whatsoever.

They really know they’re stuff. You know you’re on to something good when Robert Barnes recommends them. As I said when I recommended their series on CIA involvement in JFK (and Bobby Kennedy BTW) assassination. I stick to their series videos. The “Free Form Friday” stuff can be entertaining, but they just talk about whatever comes to mind, so I find those too all over the place.
Should add that sometimes Barnes is a guest on the “Free Form Friday” ones, I sometimes watch those. They’ll say some very interesting things about stuff I didn’t know, but they move on to the next subject so fast. I’m always thinking, whoa, wish they’d talk more about this or that.

We were in the hospital waiting on our first born and I was getting hungry. My sister ran out and got me something to eat. As I shoved some fries in my face, my wife started having a contraction so I was trying to eat fries and do breathing exercises at the same time. Eating fries is good. Breathing fries is not good.
I had a similar story, I didn’t even start eating though. I walked in and was told in no uncertain terms to leave the room or I would be going to the emergency room.

I think we need to re-sign Patrick Peterson. Dude is still our best CB, by far. He played for $4 million last year. If he’d re-sign for anywhere near that, I’d sign him now. You can’t replace him for $4 million, IMO.

I’d say the rabbit is solidly on the food list. I wouldn’t have put the horse there unless I was in France or during the apocalypse, but in this order I guess he’s going on the table.
Rabbit is food, and is yummy. I always wanted to have rabbit for Easter, but my wife won’t go along with it.
I’ve never eaten horse (that I’m aware of), so I can’t comment on the flavor.

I’d have to be pretty hungry to get to eating any canid. Felines I’ve heard are pretty good. I’ve been told mountain lion tastes like pork.
I’d say rabbit, eating horse is common in other countries and used to be something americans did, though I would probably pass.
Interesting the spin on this. They stacked the one end with cats and dogs to make it look like the line is further to the right. Why isn’t there multiple kinds of pigs, chickens or ducks in their line up.
Yeah, and what about sheep and goats? Are they not good enough to include? I would swap the horse and rabbit, add sheep and goats to the right of that and my temporary line would be at the horse. I would try horse meat but I’m not about to butcher one and put it in the freezer.
And where does wild game fit in? Are they less worthy because they aren’t domesticated? What if you raise deer, elk, pheasants, etc? Since they aren’t on the list I take it they are fair game.

I have played in Wist and Pinnacle tournaments…good times…
We love playing cribbage, but I’ve never played in a tournament. I’ve played in lots of pinochle tournaments, I love that game, been playing since I was a kid.
My son is dating a girl from AZ….
He is working hard to teach her Pinochle..He knows the easiest way for new spouses to be unconditionally accepted into the clan is if they are able to play cards.
It’s a must. My wife already knew how, but her family plays double deck. They don’t drink either, they’re a little different, but hey, they’re Vikings fans.
Luckily, I don’t drink, either.
Nothing wrong with not drinking….the gal my son is dating comes from a non-drinking family….not for religious reasons, they just don’t drink – so it will be interesting when the two families interact because my extended family are all pretty much happy drunks.

I’ve played thousands of games of cribbage, only once in my life have I had a cut where I could potentially get a 29 hand (I did not).
My dad got one when playing in a tournament in the military. Had the cards framed and a plaque made, etc. Of course I tossed it along with all the other hoarded junk when we emptied the condo when my mom moved into a senior care facility.
I promised my wife that I would let it go, so I’m not going to mention the fact that you threw out a bunch of comic books. Look at me, I’m becoming a better man.
