I can’t remember if it was wrenage or bowbunch, but one of them suggested that I create a page on bookface instead of a group. I finally figured out how to do that, so you can now like and follow us on our Facebook page! The more interactions we get there, the more traffic we’ll eventually get here, so make sure to head over if you’re one who frequents Facebook.
I’m glad that Friday is here. Work has been challenging lately, so I’m ready for the weekend. I’m hoping to get a lot of ice fishing in, depending on the wind. It’s gonna be bitterly cold, and I’ll want the pop-up out there, so it’ll depend how hard the wind blows. I’ve gone scooting across the lake in the ice house once, I don’t care to ever do that again.

Minnesota Vikings News:
Rob posted your NFC Rooting Guide.
Justin Jefferson has been nominated for the NFL Most Valuable Player award. He was the only non-quarterback nominee.
From NFL.com, Dan Quinn is expected to remain on as Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator, and the Panthers are hiring Frank Reich to be their new head coach.
This was done late but its here NOW. Go look at the Minnesota Offseason Plan

This is Da Yoopers explaing why we choose to live in this Hoth-like environment as they sing “Last Frontier”. Enjoy!
Regarding the defense and KOC’s insistence on running a 3-4, I remember in 2010 when Mike Shanahan was hired as the HC of the Redskins, he was the same way. Shanahan said the 3-4 was the hardest defense for an OC to beat. He brought in Jim Haslett to run this great 3-4 defense and in 4 years of trying, it was never good. Jay Gruden came in as the head coach when Shanahan was let go, and he kept Haslett on but fired him the next year. Thus for 5 years the Redskins tried to make the 3-4 work and never got it right. Go with what your players can do best.
It’s funny yet sad because it’s true.
Yeah, not going to happen. Brady doesn´t want to get deathmurderkilled behind our OLine.
An anonymous source spewing really inane crap. The Vikings are never going to remotely consider this. Can’t believe it’s being pushed out. They are well beyond a dark horse for Brady.
Pure speculation and clickbait, agreed.
Quentin Johnson WR TCU
If this cat is at 23…I don’t see how you pass on putting JJ, KJ, Quentin and Hock on the field together. Thielen and his christian karen can go elsewhere and we’ll have a prolific passing quad with those four for Cousins to target. No single player gives us the instant juice this rookie could provide.
I still would like to see the lines and defense addressed at 23 but there are a couple guys you seriously have to consider.
I could get behind this pick, the offense could use another weapon. Draft should once again focus on the defense though I think, that unit needs major influx of young talent. Oh, and please don´t draft a RB at 23 (or 24).
This article gets to the crux of the position this team is in this offseason and how having blinders on can cause you to make the same mistakes dumb dumb Zim made to actually suck worse as a team and get fired. KOC is not stupid he’ll look at what makes the team better to win games at pick 23 and not just “fixing” the defense which naturally will be addressed.
What helps the defense and team more? Drafting a rookie defender at 23 or drafting QJ, releasing Thielen and his contract and hitting FA with that money to address the defense?
A good read, this article. I agree that they need to work on the offense as well, that´s why I wrote that a WR at 23 would be definitely OK. The defense will have to be addressed, they need an infusion of talent. But first things first, we don´t even have a new DC yet…
Next year’s schedule isn’t going to be easy based on this year’s performances of the teams we’ll face. No one knows how good or bad any of those teams will be next year (including the Vikings) though. Traditionally second year offenses get much better, so we can hope that’s the case next year. Currently I see another DC coming in, with another scheme that the players have to learn and fit into. That doesn’t bode well for them in my opinion.
BTW… Cousins will sign an extension and be the starting QB for the next three years at a minimum so all the Kirk haters might as well accept that. He’s one of the best QB’s in the league and arguably the best QB the Vikings have ever had.
Vikings twitter would explode if we drafted a RB at 23. If they cut Cook and Mattison to do it would lessen the outrage. I don’t know how good this TX running back is didn’t hear much about him at all his entire time in college now he’s 1st rd hype. Below is a really good thread on the historical outcomes of drafting RB’s high, more in the top 5, but late 1st have seen some good results for teams to win SB’s.
https://twitter.com/stevegallonfl/status/1619201764657618992?s=61&t=ZzFKT6FwJBM10HZQYA6vFw
I don’t know about that Lifer.
The league is moving away from running back.
I guess if he is only signed on a rookie deal it could work.
The Cook resigning, Eziekel Elliott..etc is definitely a mistake.
That should never happen with a RB.
I have more questions than answers as I stated above. If he was AP level sure but again heard nothing about him and I seriously doubt he’s as good as Cook.
Anyway it was out there I would much rather take the best lineman on either side of the ball but preferably defense at 23. Maybe a top WR if a good one slides to 23 can make a big impact and replace Thielen so he can take his bloated contract and leave. Even a top corner would be a nice pick or the best safety and let Harrison go.
Regardless the pick needs to preferably replace one of our big vet guys and their contract.
Lucky we got the sucky NFCS or this schedule could be even worse.
Minnesota Vikings have arguably the toughest schedule in football next season
Here is a list of all 17 games the Vikings will have to play on their first-place schedule next year.
at Atlanta Falcons
at Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears (Home, Away)
at Cincinnati Bengals
at Denver Broncos
Detroit Lions (Home, Away)
Green Bay Packers (Home, Away)
vs. Kansas City Chiefs
at Las Vegas Raiders
vs. Los Angeles Chargers
vs. New Orleans Saints
at Philadelphia Eagles
vs. San Francisco 49ers
vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This looks intimidating on paper. Looking forward to seeing how it will play out.
4 teams for conference championship. Does not bode well.

comes out at 9-8, many things can change between now and the season starting but the best case is 10, maybe 11 wins looking at the schedule. Who knows though, could get super lucky and play a bunch of teams missing their starting QB.
Yeah as things set today, I definitely see us below .500 and honestly that’s a good thing if they purge the big contracts this offseason stay prudent and don’t over spend and give themselves two drafts and two offseasons to get this cluster fuck fixed.
You’re coming around Lifer. I like it
7 wins max.
12-5 if we beat the teams we would/should have beat this year, same division record and one surprise win amongst the rest (ala Buffalo this year).
Who should they beat? Dallas was better, Philly was better, GB and Det on the road are understandable losses that are likely again.
Atlanta, Carolina, Denver, Chargers, LV, Saints, Bucs, plus 4 division wins, plus one from the rest. Not saying it’s gonna happen but it’s basically the way this season played out.
Chargers is a coin flip, not a should win, I agree with the rest, plus a loss they shouldn’t have.
Lol…I don’t want to write two responses, so this is for you and Lifer both. I didn’t say they’d win 12 games. I said if things played out in a similar way, they could. I agree Chargers game is the most “flip a coin” but the bottom line is the Vikings won 4 division games, 1 surprise game (Bills) and all their games against everyone else except playoff NFC teams (except the Giants in RS, who they beat).
At a very high-level, I believe their offense will be better in KOC year 2 and their defense can’t be worse. But, on the downside, luck was in their favor…hard to repeat. On the plus side, let’s see what happens in FA and the draft. My guess/hope is a better O and likely better D can overcome 2022 luck factor. So, I’ll go on the record with 10+ wins. But 12 wouldn’t surprise me.
I mostly agree, could see Detroit sweeping the Vikings though
I get that take Skolifer and yes I agree the offense could be a tick better especially if they figure out the center position.
Defense is a mess so I don’t expect a big jump in production from that side. It will take a few years to fix it as it took a few years of doubling down to water it down to the shit show we saw this year.
I know what you meant with the 12 game win possibility but honestly it won’t happen unless we get some next level voodoo moves from KAM to navigate the cap, FA and the draft.
Possible but unlikely because the way things played out this season (close 1 score wins) was historic and little to no chance that happens again. So a few of these above will likely be losses which puts us right around .500 or slightly above.
HAHAHAHAHAHahahHhahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahha….oh…you serious?
I would expect a reset back to normal Kirk.
8-9 or 9-8.
Normal Kirk is about 68% completion percentage for 4500 yards, 35+ TD’s and 7 interceptions. His interceptions this year were up a lot and his TD production was slightly down. I expect a return to the mean and potentially more. KOC was in over his head this year. He ran a lot of stupid plays. Some were flat inane. He will likely learn from that though and play design should be better next year.
Got some items from grocery store, looked at receipt. Couple things amongst everything. Jar of burger chips $4.49. Ritz crackers $4.39. I mean, wtf is going on?
Ben, no one cares about your stupid fan huddle article. We want the summary.
Hear Hear!! Post it or DIE!
Ben sucks.
No kink shaming. Besides, maybe he blows?
Wasn’t meant to kink shame. That was my version of today’s summary.
; )
I know 😉
No summary, no love. Plus, you’re in a shit mood today.
I WAS in a shit mood, getting more optimistic as the day goes on, more into snow blowing!
Not shocked, but pretty down that freaking Ronna got elected RNC chair again. Good grief, trying to clean up this party is like pushing a boulder up hill.
agree
It doesn’t matter until they take the mail in ballots seriously.
They need a plan on that.
I don’t think a republican can win the presidency until then.
I would guess 3 or 4 election cycles.
Example of how out of touch they are. Poll watchers?
Ballots are mailed in and likely produced by party officials.
I agree with your point about taking mail in ballots seriously and needing a plan for that. Poll watchers can (or at least should be able to) watch the mail in ballots be counted. What really ticks me off though is that the corrupt RINO’s won again, and are in control of these state RNC members. The arrogance of some of them, basically acknowledging that over 90% of Republicans did not want Ronna, and then actually saying out loud: we don’t care what the little donors want. I need to calm down before I can think through what to do about this, but at minimum we should never contribute to the RNC again. Only contribute directly to candidates we support, and don’t fall for email/text fundraising pretending to be for a candidate we like, but most of that money going to RNC instead.
I want 9ers and bungals, has more to do with who i disfavor. Looks like it’s died here. Drive fast and take chances.
Will do. (not really).
I will drive slow and be cautious.
Space and visibility, left right left is the best advice i can give.

I won´t drive at all this weekend, so I´ve got that going for me.
Where do you live in Europe?
I’m guessing Hungary what with his moniker
That would be a smart guess, which is what separates us. I need things spelled out for me.
Or maybe Eurasia if he’s of Hun descent.
Eurasia made me think of Uranus.
Austria. I was born in Hungary, but have been living here for some time now.
Name of your sex tape
So while people like Five and Kodiak lament that we’re over the cap and can’t possibly build the roster, let’s look at 3 single moves that can create maximum cap space in Minnesota:
Player Roster Move Potential Savings
Cousins, Kirk Extension $23,068,000
Smith, Za’Darius Cut/Trade $13,656,861
Smith, Harrison Extension $10,908,000
TOTAL: $47,632,861
Like to fast forward this time of year. Speculation is too much.
How does extending Cousins create cap space?
Kicking the can more?
Doesnt this assume Cousins accepts a cap friendly extension?
Yeah you can put most of year 1’s hit in a signing bonus that’s spread out over the years in the dead cap. It would be a huge amount that could instantly put us back in black. I think the fact we’re sitting this far in the red now is the indication the extension was planned and accepted it would happen.
But that’s my point.
If you kick the can down the road, ie…. dead cap space in future years, you really haven’t accomplished anything.
Know what would save us more money in 2023? Trading Kirk. Know what would save us more money in 2024? Not extending Kirk. Extension is off the table. Play out last year, or begone. We’re done with this circus.
Hey Ben, had to get on a call so missed all the responses to my comments on Josh Allen, Dak, and Cousins. One thing people don’t really track is on January 4, 2018, Brian Daboll was named the new OC for his hometown team (Bills) under head coach Sean McDermott. Daboll is credited in part with the development of Allen, who had a very poor rookie year. Most scouts saw Allen as a “project” coming out of college and indeed he was. Three years later in 2020, Allen set numerous passing records for the Bills, and the Bills’ offense as a whole improved significantly, finishing second that year with 31.3 points per game. The team finished with 13 wins for the first time since 1991, won their first division title and playoff game since 1995, and made their first AFC Championship Game since 1993. For his work, Daboll won the AP NFL Assistant Coach of the Year. Allen had the same head coach and OC for 4 straight seasons. So has Dak BTW. Cousins has never once in his career had such a situation.
Will a second year with the same coach and OC result in a big leap for the offense? Maybe.
Lets hope so! Maybe 14 wins and a first round loss 🙂
Seriously would love to see Cousins and the offense take a big jump and it could happen…I am afraid that what we have seen from Cousins is what we will get…an above average to borderline very good QB.
They could be better next year and have win fewer games. I’m interested in seeing some post season success, not sure if I’ve mentioned it today but I don’t care about the regular season if they just poop the bed in the playoffs.
I may have seen that sentiment from you earlier…I am a little slow on the uptake sometimes but I think you made your position clear 🙂
Every year is its own entity. Look at the Rams last season then this one. We’ll just have to see what progress is made, or not made next year.
I do think winning 13 games and winning the Division should be celebrated rather than poo pooed though. A rookie head coach and staff coming and completely changing the offensive and defensive schemes doesn’t normally result in that level of success.
For me personally, the defense is the Achilles heel of the team and has been for many seasons now. Zim played that same “bend don’t break” scheme that allowed teams to move up and down the field at will. Bringing in another guy with the same philosophy was a total disaster.
Correct.
Does it matter if they have 8/9/13 wins if they go one and done regardless?
I expect a down year in 2023.
Kirk just blew his wad. Time for reality.
Cousins enjoyed one season in his career (2016) where he had the same OC and a decent O-line. That year he threw for 4,917 yards and led the league in air yards. So we have already seen what Cousins can do and it was pretty damn good. That makes me feel somewhat encouraged about next year.
I like the way you think…The earliest Vikings games I can remember was 1971….I have become a little cynical and jaded over the years…but the heart of an optimist still beats within me.
I hope the offense can be more efficient, they to improve the run game. I always thought Allen would have benefited from sitting his first year too.
Allen is a no shit top shelf QB. He has benefitted from being on a very good team, and consistency with the OC and Head Coach though. The Bills went 6-10 in 2018 as Daboll and Allen went through the normal growing pains as did the team in general in McDermott’s second year. Dak has benefitted from being on a highly talented team as well with Kellen Moore as his OC the last 4 years.
Continuity matters, even after daboll left Allen’s QB coach became OC so at least it wasn’t a completely new transition. Closest Kirk has had to the same coordinator since coming to MN is Stefanski as QB coach and interim OC in 2018 and then OC in 2019 or Klint going from QB coach in 2020 to OC in 2021 and running the same offense as his daddy, which was actually better than this seasons offense.
Fellas and lady, I’ve been here at work long enough for one week. I may be around again, but it won’t be from here. I’m heading home.
Y’all have a wonderful weekend, drive fast & take chances. I’m rooting for anyone but the Eagles, fuck those guys.
I sometimes wonder why there are not more females on this site taking part in the spirited and intellectual discussions.
And then I see a post about Greta’s snatch smelling like pine forest and I understand.

My wife has fled for the weekend….of course just when I think I will go out and party like a 40 year old I come down with head cold…oh well…
Stay home, drink whiskey, sleep.
That is pretty much my plan.
Sounds like a good one. Get well soon!
Oh no, sorry. When I’m sick, all I want to do is just veg for a couple days. At least you can watch football Sunday with your favorite beverage.
Getting placed squared away kc? When can you move?
We were getting close, but son in law’s Dad went into congestive heart failure. He lives in Dallas. Son in law was trying to make arrangements to get there, but he’s been doing better past couple days so not sure what he’ll do now. Been just giving him space this week.
The lady we’re buying from wanted 60 days to move. Her rich son is building her a carriage house on his property.
Sorry to hear about your SIL’s dad. My father suffers the same condition but is managing it pretty well all things considered and living his life mostly as he would without.
I really feel bad for son in law, such a good guy. Without getting too much in the weeds, his Dad had a major heart attack a few years ago. Significant history of that happening early in their family. Then they found cysts on both his kidneys, one looked weird so tried (but failed) to biopsy it. Going off diuretics prior to that may have caused recent problem. Trying to get him stable enough to go to heart rehab.
That’s awful, hopefully he improves. My father had a massive heart attack about 18 years ago but pulled through and got healthier, then a couple years ago he had another heart attack that was milder and didn’t recognize the symptoms or seek care until he fell and couldn’t get up because his oxygen level was 70. Will pray for your SIL and his father.
Thank you. SIL’s Dad only had 15% heart function after first heart attack. Now he’s down to 9%. Kidney doc told him only other option was remove kidney, but he wouldn’t do it without Cardiologists approval. Never got that far, had to go to ER in ambulance. If he survives the heart issue, they’ll just have to hope the cyst isn’t malignant.
My goodness…wishing the best for everyone kathy.
Thank you.
Yes, health issues suck…wishing you all the best.
Thanks, take care of you this weekend.
Brad,
I just made you rich.
I clicked on an ad.
You’re welcome.

Samesies, ad block is the best.
All we need to do is click on Ads to make Brad money??
I can do that.
With the mood that Ben is in today I can’t wait for the summary.
I haven’t noticed anything unusual.
Very very good MT.
I’m sure he’ll have nothing but good things to say about that eggslusher douche bag. What a moran that guy is!
No, we disagree and that is fine.
I may or may not have come on a little strong earlier.
Sorry but I wasted my free time making a fan huddle post, I can’t summarize today, maybe I’ll do it monday.
Damnit I was sure I’d be on it today. So I have to get in a pissing match on Monday again?
LOL, I guess so.
Oh you be ready… I’m bringing the piss on Monday!
Ben is denying us the fruits of his free labor.

Yep, they’re talking highs below zero for a week. Lovely. I don’t see anything above the teens in the 15-day.

Nossir. I have a pop-up. If it’s too windy for the pop-up, I don’t go. I like being comfortable.
They work great, yes, trying to set up in a 25 mph wind is a bit challenging.
Yepper. There are a few lakes around here with some protection at times, depends how bad the wind is blowing. I’m not gonna stand outside & freeze my balls off, though. If I can’t have the pop-up with me, I’m probably not going out for very long.

GDP report reveals ominous Great Depression warning sign not seen since 1932
Biden is an embarrassment but let’s be real here. It’s a Faux News article. They are as reliable as the Crappy News Network. Ask yourself, say some libtard on here posted a CNN article where all the data was exactly the same but it was damning towards Trump. Would you buy it? We all know the answer is no.
Inflation was 1.4% when Brandon took office.
Blaming Trump is exactly what he and fake news does.
They look stupider by the day.
If I read that the disposable income of Americans has dropped more than any time in history other than 1932, that GDP only grew because imports fell faster than exports, credit card debt is growing, savings are dropping, and that almost all of the meager business investment growth in the 4th quarter was simply inventory growth because businesses can’t sell their products combined with almost daily articles of more layoffs at big companies, I don’t care who the president is, that’s bad news. The only people that think the economy is doing good are either in DC or brainwashed MSDNC watchers.
Fair response, I have a hard time believing that you’d take criticism on any Redumblican seriously from CNN and I don’t blame you. I just don’t take much seriously from either of their agenda fueled “news.” I too don’t think the economy is great, it’s also not all doom either. Usually somewhere in the middle of where one side says its showing signs of Great Depression and the other side saying it’s the most goodest bestest ever lol.
I wasn’t a Trump 100% fan, but he had the economy strong and energy independence which makes the country stronger. All of that was undone by people who have never held a real job on the guise of social and environmental justice and a green crusade.
Trump was/is a jerk.
But he was an effective jerk.
I would take that over the lying piece of crap we have now.
Correct.
Most politicians are jerks.
FTFY
Exactly…Trump was a hideous egomaniac…but at least he was good at his job.
Was? lol
Bingo
And this article isn’t predicting a Great Depression but there are downturns in parts of the economy not seen since the Great Depression, and that’s not a good thing.
I agree, economy was strong. And the Dems that try and take it away from him and credit other things better not also give Bill credit for when the economy was strong under him. But of course they don’t have the same criteria lol.
Trump is a selfish self centered douchbag orange piece of shit, but our country was in much better shape under him and I agreed with a fair amount of his policies.

Yeah I doubt I’ll ever see any rebate.

I tell her, it’s a Minnesota Democrat.
You likely will never see it.

Speaking from experience? Ewww…
a pine forest?
A maple forest?
A moldy, damp rain forest?

Was the economy better under Trump or is it better under Biden?
Trump, I’ve said it repeatedly. Trump is a better choice for President than Biden but he’s surly a corrupt turd who loves the swamp as much as the next politician.
Rec for honesty.
I say we just keep printing money…what could possible go wrong?
Oh and lets keep the borders open so we have plenty more to care for seems like a good plan.
Solid plan.

Go Bengals, go 9ers! That said…
Off to the gym, time to run.
Good news. Baby fluid in nose has improved alot and able to feed him now. Been stuck at this hospital for 4 days now but on track to be discharged this evening if he continues to eat well.
Wife improved a lot so praise God for that. Finally able to move around slowly.
I want to sleep in my own bed haha. Overall, things are improving and close to leaving this place.
Hope you all are playing nice and why haven’t we hired Flores?
Great to hear about the progress. Take care of you and your family. God Bless.
Glad to hear and I’m sure Flores is waiting until he hears back about the HC jobs he interviewed for.
Glad things are going well, man. Continued prayers for you & the fam. I hope you make it home today, hospitals are no fun.
Good to hear.
FYI….you likely won’t be sleeping in your own bed much anyway.
But it is nice to be home.
Might be a mistake to hire Flores, given his lawsuit.
Good news, glad everybody is doing better.
Great news. Hang in there, and best of luck!
Good news indeed! Home soon is a good thing
Excellent, great news! Glad things are working out as they should.
Thank goodness for the improvement. Hope that continues and you and family can go home tonight. If there’s a family member or friend who can come in and actually help for a couple hours here and there I’d recommend that (meals, clean, laundry, bathe and/or rock baby to sleep, etc.), but tell folks who just want to come by to see the baby you’re not ready yet. Nap when baby naps.
When my daughter had her babies, they had to manage the nights themselves, but I went over every day and did all of the work (except of course the nursing, which is enough for a new Mom because of nursing through the night). I do mean ALL of the work, including giving baby baths, changing every diaper, settling baby for nap, meals, cleaning, laundry, everything.
You are pretty special Kathy. Your daughter is very lucky you were there for her. My wife has a friend who decided she wanted a baby, but no husband. She got herself pregnant by some loser, and now has a baby. She is alone though and is very depressed. Taking care of a baby is a 24 by 7 job. We have moved to Florida and are no longer close enough to help. I couldn’t understand why she wanted to have a baby by herself in the first place, but people make their own choices.
Good to hear. Rest up and get home!

True…if only there was a way to get experience without making mistakes….
Looks like the Cards are down to either Payton or Flores…
I think they go Payton…he is more of an offensive guy and Murray will need that.
I don’t think Payton is coaching this year.
I thought Carolina was his best choice.
Well, he just spent all yesterday with the Cardinals..so there is that.
What are the Taints going to get for it though?
What did the Cards get for Arians?
They got a 6th and the Bucs got Arians and a 7th
Payton is a lot younger though and has actually won a SB already.
Sure. I was just answering the question.
Yeah, I’m just curious to see how much hardball the Taints will play and if Payton is really even that interested.
They don’t have a ton of leverage. Teams know the Saints can either accept something or get nothing. There are other coaching options out there, no need to sell the farm to get Payton.
If you’re the Saints, do you let him go cheap to another NFC team or wait for an AFC offer and in the meantime tell Payton too bad, so sad, thanks for F-ing us over with this roster and then bailing.
Yeah, I’m not sure. Very true, it’s funny how he created the mess he refuses to work with. I don’t really blame the *aints, either. I’d want to recoup as much as possible, but they also need to try to get something if they can. Tough call.
I don’t think he is this year.
Just going through the motions unless someone robs the bank for him.
My opinion is Payton is just biding time until McCarthy is fired, taking interviews just to keep his name in hiring cycles and stay relevant unless the perfect situation came along like Andy Reid retiring or something like that.
Yep. Also interviewed for other jobs.
Doesn’t mean he coaches.
No it doesn’t. But I hope he does…it will give me another team to cheer against.
hey ben, you’re a pansie.
where is the 13-4 banner you are promising homers?
Yes! I want my 13-4 NFC North champs banner!
FTFY
The regular season was a success, the team won the North. The post season was shit, as we all are aware. Both can, and do coexist, as Brad so eloquently stated somewhere below.
I’m with you. Just playing on “both sides of the fence”. Trying to throw Ben a bone.
Ben´s not playing, so far. Hasn´t read the bait yet, probably.
*Pansy, lol just a stupid lib to misspell when trying to make fun of someone!
Most pundits and fans would take Dak Prescott and Josh Allen over Kirk Cousins any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. That said, Bills and Cowboys fans both understand that their star quarterback’s respective penchants for turnovers cost their teams the chance to hoist a Lombardi Trophy this year. Allen turned the ball over 23 times this season including the huge fumble for a TD and the interception to end the game against the Vikings in overtime. That represents the highest total for any single player in the last three seasons. This is where the rubber meets the road. People love Josh Allen and Dak Prescott because they are overtly super competitive, play making QB’s. Their exploits this year (once again) did not result in a Super Bowl appearance. By some peoples standards, that would mean they suck.
They Suck! The pundits are wrong….Cousins >>> DAk, but Allen >>> Cousins.
Going to be hard to win with any of them…they all will eat up a large share of your cap.
Laughing… my point was, no matter how good a QB is, or popular, or exciting, to some the measuring stick is winning the Super Bowl. To me, playing QB in the NFL is just hard. Sometimes you play great and lose, and sometimes you play average or even below average and win.
Yes…none won the SB…they are all losers.
Black Kirk Cousins sucks, Josh Allen>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Beaker.
Josh Allen – hasn’t won anything… leads the league in turnovers…
He sucks
Wrong, if he played for the Vikings then you would be correct but since he doesn’t and he was drafted high he is great.
I stand corrected… grin
LOL, I was just being facetious. Allen did account for 3 more turnovers than Kirk, also accounted for 11 more TDs and about 600 more yards. I do not think Dak is better than Kirk though.
You’ve also been very rampageous this morning.
I’m typically kidding when I respond to NVF’s Kirk comments.
My takeaway from today’s Friday morning Ben comments:
Not wrong…
BTW…that was meant to be read with a Randy Travis lyrical, voiceover playing in your head.
As long as old men sit and talk about the weather, as long as old women sit and talk about old men
everybody sucks at everything…ever, Amen.
Ok doomer
I’m just saying it works with the lyrics you posted if you sing it like Randy.
As long as old men…
…as long as old women…
..sucks at everything…ever, Amen.
Oh I know, just wanted to say you’re a doomer!
CORRRECT!
3 fights within 16 seconds in the Wild game last night….
The end looked like a Vikings game. Take a lead, piss it away at the end and have to win in OT.
Zuccarello’s goal was pretty sweet though.
Yes. Yes it was.
I have tried to watch hockey…it just never took with me…
I have a good buddy whose kid plays for the high school team to I have been watching a good deal of those games…its growing on me.
i have found fast paced games like hockey, i get way more into than a “slower” pace like football or baseball.
i love playoff hockey. so much.
Yeah, I am a baseball guy…
nothing better than sitting outside in 75 degrees watching baseball.
i’m glad my kids are finally old enough to handle an entire game and be entertained themselves
Yes, but HS baseball in ND sucks…watching baseball in full winter gear wrapped in blankets with 3 pairs of socks and heavy boots on and still freezing is awful…my son graduated so I have watched my last cold weather baseball game.
trek to the cities and take in a weekend of baseball at target field. preferably day games if possible
Oh yes, we have been to Target Field probably 10 weekends…always do 2 games to make it worth the trip.
Hockey = Soccer on ice.
Yes…with better clock manangment
False. Hockey players actually hit each other and if they flopped as bad as soccer (or basketball) players, it’s a penalty.

No, sir. Hockey is nothing like soccer.
We went to another Bobcats game last week. Same thing happened. Two dudes get in a fight, the ref comes in and hugs a guy & skates him away, then someone goes to time out. So funny, like watching day care. Tickles my funny bone.
I caught the 3rd period, good game to watch. Beautiful goal to win it in overtime.
Yep
Dale Murphy was the first athlete I ever looked up to. Was my favorite player growing up, broke my heart when they traded him to the Phillies, but it led to the success in the 90s, so……
Dude needs to be in the hall of fame.
Root canals are not fun. Had the first appointment yesterday. Two more to go for the same tooth.
at least I am not an FTP fan.
Does this mean you’re a LTP fan?
Should just fix it yourself like Ron Swanson
He’s a real man! Isn’t too much of a pussy for peaty, full flavored whisky… Still… He’s no match for…
at least I am not an FTP fan
at least gotta have teeth to get that root canal
I’m with yeah on this journey. I started in late October last yr to spend all my HSA money and get all my dental needs caught up. Had seven visits over two months, two crowns and 6 cavities taken care of and now all good. I had two root canals back in 2002 I remember. Weren’t that bad but dental work never bothers me. Needles or drills doesn’t bother me.
You before the dental work
I got all my chicklets me boy
Glad to hear, me too, though I’ve got 3 crowns and had one root canal.
You’ve got a purty mouth, boy
Never had a root canal, hopefully never need one. I’ve had good luck with my teeth, other than when I got my wisdom teeth removed. That was a circus. Was in my early 20s. Damn things got infected (I was a smoker back then, and I drank heavily). I went in once, they gave me penicillin, which actually made the infection worse. I was stubborn & wouldn’t go in, & by the time I did, I had a really bad fever, like 106. They had to do surgery, I spent 4th of July weekend in the hospital.
Morale of the story is, infections are immune to penicillin, and you should probably go to the doctor right away when you have a bad infection. Also, don’t smoke & party after you get your wisdom teeth removed.
Rule #1 of wisdom teeth removal, drink hard liquor, not beer or wine.
I’m sure I made more mistakes than can be counted in that scenario.
My memory of wisdom teeth removal – I had it done third year of college, doc snowed me with valium, one of my buddies came with me and walked me home zombie like the thirty or so blocks to my apartment, made sure I took a pain pill and an antibiotic pill and then left as I plopped in bed. I woke up about two in the afternoon, hurt like shit, but I had a student union meeting something about faculty tenure and I was one of the keynote speakers, plus I had a major crush on the nursing faculty student rep and didn’t want to be babbling, so I just took another antibiotic instead of a pain pill. The antibiotic (erythromycin) upset my stomach and I felt like throwing up during the prolonged meeting. Easily one of the top ten painful experiences for me with throbbing jaw and having to speak at the televised podium for fifteen minutes, hard to open my mouth for the swelling and I’m sure the swelling was noticeable.
IIRC my dad was waiting to drive me to Wainwright for the weekend when I got back to apartment, I wasn’t supposed to take the pills without eating and hadn’t eaten all day so we stopped at a McD’s…I remember mashing chunks of Big Mac against my maxillary teeth with my tongue and trying to drink a milkshake, could only open my mouth about two inches, but that was one of the best burgers of all time, then I took a pain pill and felt that pain score slide down blissfully.
i had my wisdom teeth removed in my 20’s.
i got laughing gas rather than being put out completely.
the hygenist said i was hitting on her and telling her how nice she smelled while she held the mask of gas over my entire mouth/nose.
Sounds similar to my experience. I remember the pressure and cracking noises as they broke the teeth out but no pain. I also remember the assistant asking me questions and me going “mwwah mwwhah phhthhlahh”.
So I am going to show my age, but “back in the day”, I was in 10th grade, had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. My girlfriend needed the same stuff done, we had the same doctor. He did the procedure on us the same day and then put us in the same hospital room overnight. Of course all our friends came, big party
With all of your stories MT, I’m surprised you are still alive. Happy, but surprised.
Jesus there are SAW movies with less pain and suffering than that.
LOL, valid point
I had mine removed in bootcamp by Navy dental butchers. They gave me the rest of the day off and I was back on the “grinder” (that’s what they called the tarmac where we did our morning PT) the next morning. Sounds like you’re just a fairy pansy.
I was in a motorcycle accident when I was about 20. Banged up my knee/leg pretty bad but also damaged a bunch of teeth. I don’t remember the exact count, but I had something near 30 dentist appointments in a year to repair things, including multiple root canals. Not fun but I got so used to being in the chair, I’d start falling asleep while they were working and my mouth would start to close.
I remember showing up one day and my dentist was all excited because he had ordered a dam to keep my mouth open. It was a win-win. I slept like a baby and it no longer disrupted their work. @Good times.@
Yikes.
What’s worse?
Root canals or watching Cousins?
I’m in the process of accessing and purging Directv from my life for good. This has been like breaking up with a longtime girlfriend who you just never committed to but stayed with for 20 years and finally the time has come. I’ve had Directv since it’s inception in the early 90’s.
So I had to figure out how to stream spectrum tv to my 3 TV’s, two older Sony’s with no usb port for fire stick option so has to be a hdmi port powered streaming device. I have a 4k Sony Bravia that’s only about 4 yrs old has everything BUT normally you can just sign up for Spectrum via the app on wifi but of course google store doesn’t offer that app on Sony / Android TV’s. Bastards. So I have to hard wire a box to that TV as well I believe. I ordered an Apple TV streamer so I know it will work with my two older Sony’s via the hdmi ports, I’m hoping the Apple TV box has a wifi signal I can connect to for my 4k smart tv but I don’t think it does so essentially I’ll have to get 3 Apple TV boxes to stream the Spectrum app.
Still in the long run will save money, Directv is $210 a month or $275 when a sunday ticket monthly installment payment hits. Highway robbery I will not pay that any longer.
Get a Fire Stick (endorsed by Gary Busey!!!!)
Sounds like a STD. Someone should ask Kodiak about it.
Also the name of your sex tape
Fire Stick
I have a Roku stick. It’s great.
Holy pelican shit!! You serious, Clark?
Hole-E-Hell! That’s insane pricing.
Yeah I have the premium package all the channels they offer plus genies that wirelessly connect all my tvs. Still a ripoff in todays market but 5 yrs ago it was the best system.
That’s a lot. We went with youtubetv for our programming. We went without that for a long time, but I needed it for MNF and the NFL Network games Only $65 a month.
Just buy a couple of fuckin roku’s
I know you said that the last time I brought this up. I researched Roku, Firestick, and others and Apple by far was the best. Yeah $129 a pop but we have all apple devices so it integrates seamlessly. I ordered one to try it out.
That makes sense, though Roku’s are way cheaper, but if you have all apple its probably worth the extra $100, either way you’ll save a ton on what you’re paying for DTV
Yeah AT&T has to be getting a ton of cancel service requests now.
I had DTV back in like 2012. It was around $100 a month for the full package including all the premium channels like HBO, Starz, Cinemax, Showtime. Seems like the price has skyrocketed the last ten years.
I ditched Directv several years ago. Not only is it so expensive, they make you sign a 2 year contract. I don’t think so.
Good morning, short day for me today.
Good morning!
Mornin’, and congrats!
gm
This might come back to bite him, hope the Bengals offense is up to the challenge.
Burrowhead stadium is going to be rocking there Gay!
Should make excellent material for the Bengals´ locker room… that offense will be pumped to kick some Chef ass. Go Bengals!
*they’re gay
That’s gay.
Like, totally.
Maybe, maybe not. Willie Gay, or won’t he? I’m not sure.
Hey….happy Friday and guess what….at least we have an elite Left Tackle!
https://twitter.com/lukebraunnfl/status/1618650346187792384?s=61&t=Tmt0AjCTtLRTxXgsZDTXAA
How can we afford an elite LT RT and WR?
WERE DOOOOOOOOMED
Lol…in Brez we trust.
Does bring up a question I posed on Twit when the armchair GM’s start their offseason plans on building a contender in 2023. I want to know what is KAM’s approach this year considering the state of the roster (aged out, possibly 20% of vets need to go) and the cap (in the red which can be flipped but some Joe’s have to go to do it).
Is it carry forward with a weak Competitive Rebuild that this year would not do much if you hang on to some of these vets to make “one last run” like we’ve being doing the last 4 years?
Is it purge the roster of the high cost contracts with less than high level play, take 2023 to rebalance the books and not be aggressive in FA or the draft and draft some young players give them a year to develop and hit 2024 with a bit more agressiveness to round out the roster?
We could keep Kirk in both scenarios or trade this year or let him hit FA next year. With Kirk they likely resign him imo either way.
Cap is easy.
but the vets are mostly dead weight.
i just armchaired a plan in imagination land
No shit, the idea you get a CB in his prime for an old ass washed up WR at age 33 and a shitty pick only exists in the most delusional homerism imagination land possible.
Ben I gotta do that just for you.
And 5.
my fantasyland had Max as our next SB MVP
Who is Max?
LOL, I remember Max Headroom, I also remember that really strange hack in Chicago, if you’ve never heard of it or seen it, here it is, BTW it’s not completely suitable for work
Wow. I don’t remember that…I think I was stationed in upstate NY…about the same timeframe I had the motorcycle accident I mentioned above.
I could see where that would freak people out.
This guy
https://gofrogs.com/sports/football/roster/max-duggan/14335
Why don’t you post a plan?
Because it would be too realistic for the delusional homers and I’m crabby today.
Maybe change your tampon?
Sounds like it’s time to renew your Rectix subscription.
They suck, cut them. Best plan ever!
Here you go.
Are you okay if I move this to the front page if I can figure out how?
LOL, yeah no problem
Moved it. Also shared to tweeter and bookface, you’re famous now.
@yay@
You know you’re excited. All libs live for is attention.
Also, felt cathartic to put together, getting some negativity out.
In all seriousness…
those guys gotta go. And I believe they will.
KAM has shown he doesn’t give a F about cutting an entire draft class.
I see those “longtime” guys being shown the door.
jm ok with keeping Harry. And even AT on Barr type deals where it’s voided to push the cap hit out another year and keep some of the team together…
but I’m also all for a complete bloodbath.
I’ll have more scenarios coming out through the off-season.
Might not happen this offseason as the Wilfs ordered a “competitive rebuild”, I think Queasy will try to find ways to keep some of the more productive veterans around because of that. Will be interesting to see what they´ll come up with.
Yup give me the bloodbath scenario plz.
They need to go, but KAM sucks at drafting, so I am not confident in his ability to replace them. Thielen is in steep decline and will be completely useless this upcoming season.
Yup. Last draft was disappointing.
hope he redeems himself
It was subpar.
That´s putting it politely. I lean more towards “it sucked”, but too early to call.
Right, can’t really judge the players for at least another year, but the draft-day trades were poor. He made up for it with in-season trades and the free agency selections. Overall, he had hits and misses, I suppose chalk that up to inexperience and hope that this year will be better.
We’ll see soon enough. Can’t wait for the draft, we’re having a draft party at the house again this year.
I don’t think KAM sucks at drafting. Has last year been a good look so far? No. But Cine really seemed poised to be a good contributor. I really liked the pick at the time. I saw it said he’s expected to make a full recovery, is that true? I thought that injury had a history of guys never being the same? Booth had issues but again, rookie. Ingram played well for a 2nd round rookie. I think he played better than Bradbury for his first couple years (low bar I know). I am really looking forward to seeing Asamoah develop and get moar reps.
He’s dumb as fuck, got trade raped by Det, gave away two WRs to division rivals that will likely destroy the trash ass defense he has assembled, took broke ass Booth, Cine couldn’t even get on the field over a completely meh Bynum, the child rapist sucks at RG, Evans sucked and had repeated concussions, Assmaoh might be ok, the rest are trash. He fucking sucks at drafting, should just trade all his picks for existing players or poach practice squad guys instead.
Those trades truly were head scratchers I agree. The worst part about talking to people like you. Is if next year Cine because All pro, Booth becomes a lock down corner, Ingram becomes elite, you wouldn’t admit to being wrong about any of this. You would just find another thing to shit on.
There is zero chance of that happening, so I don’t need to worry about admitting anything, Cine is unlikely to even start let alone somehow become all pro, Booth will be lucky to make it a month before getting injured again and the Child Rapist isn’t anything close to below average in pass pro let alone elite. But tell me more about how great KAM is at drafting.
His 1st draft is nothing to write home about, agreed. The trades especially were headscratchers. If he fucks up his 2nd draft as well and keeps making unfavorable trades with division rivals I´ll start to worry, until then the jury is still out on Queasy´s drafting skills.
I like his trade for Hock and picking up Tonga and Shelley a lot, both very good moves, however the draft was bad.
The trade for Hock was a very good move, his draft day trades both sucked IMHO.
I’m convinced KAM worked out some sort of double-secret side deal on draft day that opened up the possibility of the Hock trade during the season. It makes very little sense for the Lions to let him go for a song and a dance.
I also believe that to be the case. They knew TJ was unhappy so the deal was discussed on draft day.
It´s probable, and seeing how smooth that trade went down in the middle of the season, and how relatively cheap the Vikes got Hock, I tend to agree.
Let me ask something. What was your prediction going into this season? What was it. Were you wrong? I bet you can’t even just admit it. Instead you’ll just say, “they got lucky, worst point differential, worst 13 win team” Just yes or no, were you wrong?
My prediction was 8-8-1 +/- 1.5, with 9-8 and a WC appearance most likely and an a one and done ass kicking in the WC round. Half wrong, half right. I have no problem admitting I’m wrong.
Clearly you have no problem admitting being wrong. All I asked was a yes no were you wrong on your prediction for win/loss and you were off by basically a quarter of the season off. You couldn’t just say, yes I was wrong. Instead you had to find the way to validate your negativity. You are all the same. If you predict doom all the time you will be correct sometimes. And those times you get to go, SEE I WAS RIGHT! As you just did. I am not saying they will win 5 games or 15 next year. I am saying nobody knows anything right now. Including you so why be this fucking much of a Debbie Downer? Because it’s a habit. It’s who you are as a “fan” clearly. Which is a shame.
I don’t give a fuck about being right or wrong, I’m only interested in the team legitimately competing for a SB, which they are nowhere near at this time and won’t be anytime soon.
Also, you’re clearly triggered and don’t even know what you’re saying
I then give you my prediction and you type this drivel
Seems you are perfect fan for this team as you love mediocrity.
Saying I love mediocrity, when did I ever say that? Than you say you don’t have to put words in my mouth or fabricate things but this shows you do exactly that.
Love is probably a strong word, but you’re a Vikings fan, the Vikings are mediocre ipso facto you like mediocrity or at least tolerate it.
lol by that logic so do you
Yeah, to an extent I suppose.
OK, sure…but how do you really feel?
For some reason I woke up this morning and chose violence
Yes, I have noticed….can’t be a ray of sunshine everday!
I think we’re gonna see a revamped defense next year, lots of old faces will be gone. I think it’ll help. They may keep a key guy, maybe PP and/or H. Smith, as the vet presence & leader(s).
Really doesn’t matter, this team isn’t a contender for anything other than losing round 1 of the playoffs at best anytime soon.
And last year most said we were going to have a losing season for sure this year. Fuckin A, let shit play out.
You’re delusional, this team with Captain Caphit has zero chance at a SB. I get it, you’re super pumped about a pants shitting WC loss because it gives you some sense of “hope”, good for you, I’m realistic in looking at this team that has a shitbox defense full of underperforming, overpaid old ass players and a QB that isn’t good enough to elevate the players around him but is paid on a level with QBs who can. I envoy your ability to overlook just how far this team is from an actual contender because in reality its the same average to slightly above average piece of shit team it has been forever.
I bet you’re a real joy to be around. The worst part is I’m not even taking a stance. They could very well suck next year. They could very well have another 13+ win season, I don’t know. You don’t know. At least let the offseason shake out a bit. You truly have a doctorate degree in depression. Paging Dr. Depresso!
Ben hasn’t pooped yet today
Incorrect, he is shitting on everything lol.
False, only shit on delusional homer comments.
Who gives a fuck if they win 13 games again, they aren’t an actual contender for anything of substance. Good for you that you enjoy a fraudulent regular season and a pants shitting loss to a pathetic NYG team at home in the WC round. Wish that did it for me.
YEAH! Who gives a fuck if they win! What kind of fan enjoys wins? Delusional fans, that’s who. It is I, Benjammin one of the real fans who only enjoys losses! Because it’s all about me and who am I? Negative fuckin Nancy Pelosi and I need my negativity validated more than anything in life!
I get it, a successful regular season is all you’re interested in, hang the “greatest 13-4 season in the history of the NFL” banner.
It’s so cute that you have to put words in my mouth to even attempt to attack my point.
I am one of those stupid Vikings fans who likes to see the team win…Yes give me another 13 and 4 regular season please.
Yes, another 13 win season and an ass kicking in the WC round is satisfactory for like 90% of fans.
I don’t recall anyone celebrating the playoff loss?
I drank heavily during and after the playoff loss. Does that count as a celebration?
Same here, but I most definitely was NOT in any celebratory mood…
Asking for the same thing again isn’t exactly celebrating but I don’t understand the logic of it.
Exactly. These negative nimrods can’t argue on reality. They have to fabricate parts of your stance to attack it.
No, but people are still celebrating the season like its some sort of great accomplishment.
People are happy that the team put together an entertaining season, winning 13 games, at least 2 of those becoming instant classics (Bills, Colts). Vikes won´t win a SB until the NFL allows it.
They won’t win a SB until they become a better team.
The regular season was an accomplishment, the playoffs were not. The two can coexist.
That’s your perspective. I’m not interested in being a good regular season team that melts like a popsicle in July come playoff time.
No one said you had to be. But that isn’t just his take. It’s a fact that liking the regular season and not liking the playoff result is something that is a possible to do. You just choose not to. Which is fine, that’s your choice.
Wrong, if they don’t win the SB they suck and are failures. If you are not mad they didn’t win the SB then you accept failure and are therefore a big fat loser yourself.
I would never call you a loser but you are correct.
Correct, I don’t see the regular season as any sort of success. Most games were fun but after the playoff loss its just another wasted meaningless Vikings season.
I didn’t like the playoff part, either. I did enjoy the regular season.
I don’t have to put any words in your mouth and yes I attack your weak points, unlike you who resorts to name calling because of your inability to eloquently articulate any sort of coherent point.
Is the discussion about Edge and Ben putting things in each others’ mouths making anyone else uncomfortable?
I’m uncomfortable with the conversation.
Summary line 1:
Ben and Edge take turns putting things in each other’s mouths.
no kink shaming
So you didn’t assert that I enjoy play off losses? You didn’t say I enjoy this and than and yadda yadda all of which were things I never said? Interesting…
I may be missing something but what I took from your comments was that you enjoyed the season that ended in an embarrassing playoff loss. Some people enjoy the 13 regular season wins despite the ultimately embarrassing end. I enjoyed the regular season wins at the time but they proved nothing but hollow in the end and I don’t look at the season as successful or anything to celebrate. I’m sure you’ll just respond again in a childish manner with a gif calling me names but I never said anything about you celebrating or enjoying a playoff loss.
You are surely missing something. My whole point was none of us know what next year will bring especially with literally nothing having happened in the off-season yet. Then I used for example how many people, you included were wrong on what our record would be this year. That’s it. You keep putting things together than don’t have to be put together. It is possible to enjoy a 13 win season while being disappointed and pissed off about the playoff result. It feels the only reason you don’t understand that is to help validate your negativity.
I don’t live in fairytale world world where being realistic is negative and I believed this team had any chance at a SB. Wish I did sometimes. I didn’t say it was impossible to separate the two, I simply don’t, you do and that’s fine.
Right here you wrongfully assert that all I care about is a successful regular season. Do you not realize you say these things?
My mistake, I took this as sarcasm
I took that as a shot that I don’t care if the team wins in the regular season and inferred that you feel the opposite. At the end of the day the regular season doesn’t really mean much when you end the season with a bad performance at home against a mediocre at best football team.
I’ll tell you what. I went to the first Packer game, will never forget it, that Bills game was absolutely legendary, that comeback win, also legendary… it was a fun season with a shit ending. You don’t know what next year will bring. You can’t really even make an educated guess. So what you are doing is just proving what your default is, and that default is negativity.
No, negativity is not my default. I’m usually not particularly optimistic or pessimistic about the team, hence my prediction of slightly above average and first round playoff loss. I actually think with a couple of shrewd moves the Vikings could be a legitimate contender that does more than just have a “fun” regular season, I have little confidence in ownership and the front office actually making those decisions though.
LOL
Good for you and Nancy
Right here you point out (wrong again) that I enjoy a fraudulent regular season and a pants shitting loss. First it wasn’t a fraudulent regular season, unless you can prove otherwise. Second you say right here that I enjoy the playoff loss. How thick can you be to the things you say?
I didn’t say you specifically enjoyed a pants shitting playoff loss, I said you enjoyed both the fraudulent regular season and the pants shitting, like in totality. And they were absolutely fraudulent as proven by the pants shitting playoff loss to a fraudulent NYG team.
I enjoyed the good season, didn’t enjoy the playoff loss. Why is that so hard for you to grasp? I’m really not trying to be mean but this conversation just screams of you digging your heals in just to dig your heals in.
The playoff loss only proved the Giants were the better team that day. Especially with the fact the Vikes beat them not that long before. It being fraudulent is just your take when the information is filtered through your negative filter.
Its not that I don’t understand, I just don’t agree with that perspective.
And they were frauds.
Hi five, how did you hack Ben´s account?
Five’s a punk bitch, I’m a real alpha male!
Wonder if he’ll ever come back, either way, somebody’s gotta balance out the delusions
He will, at some point. Likely that the team will be worse next season and not even sniffing the playoffs, but I want to see what they do in the offseason first.
Waiting to see what happens before creating a hypothesis about the future is DELUSIONAL!
LOL yeah, I know…
His concussions worry me, hope he manages to stay healthy for a long time.
Yeah it was good they did not return after the second bout so with a long offseason hopefully that’s behind him. You don’t see that often in tackles and I would expect he’s been taught techniques to keep his head out of contact situations. I believe it was Lawrence from the Cowboys that coming in to that game knew he had being dinged the game before and he came with an intentional head down helmet first bullrush and cracked Darrisaw square in the facemask which took him out. Bitch move imo I think it was intentional.
That hit didn´t look OK to me as well, FT cowpies.
I thought it looked very intentional as well.
Great video.
At least our offensive tackles are really good.
When they can get on the field
True.
I’m optimistic about O’neill fully recovering, a partial tear of the achilles is much different than rupturing it like Fat Phil did, which prematurely ended his career. Darrisaw is a bit concerning considering he’s missed a fair amount of games his first two years. He great when he’s on the field though. I think they’ve got bookend tackles for the next 10 years assuming health. I am not so optimistic about the iol, Cleveland is below average pass blocking, Bradbury is still awful pass blocking, and Ingram was just plain bad as a rookie, despite the oline having great run blocking grades the run game was actually well below average. I think the Vikings will end up overpaying for Bradbury and continue to stick with Cleveland and Ingram regardless of the results.
I really hope they don’t pay turds.
im ready for someone new
Yep, there are centers available via FA this year. You have to think Minny will be an attractive spot coming off of a 13-4 year.
Those 13 wins don’t count though because they didn’t win the SB and their DVOA was bad so in reality they only had 4 or 5 wins.
I doubt players care much about that stuff. They know that wins matter most.
(I know you were kidding)
ok now where is the video of him getting blown up, holding, beat etc….
shut up you doomer
Looks like the Cardinals will need someone else as HC
Yeah I think this may hurt our chances landing Flores, he’ll probably take the AZ job if they offer it to him.
They’re kind of a shit show right now…
dunno how I’d feel about that job.
Flores should consider his options, Cards are bad and Kyler sucks. Might be he´d get more interesting offers in a year or two after a successful stint as DC somewhere.
Yup.
like taking the worst defense in the league to mediocre and a SB victory
Exactly.
^^^* Hun Knows
If Flores (reportedly) had problems in his relationship with Tua, he’s really going to hate Kyler. I think that combination would be a recipe for disaster.
Good point, if Flores had problems working with Tua same thing might happen with Kyler who is not easy to work with, allegedly.
Problem there is that Flores wanted Hebert over Tua, FO and Owner overruled him and it became a point of contention between them. I don’t think he had specific issues with Tua himself though.
I’ve heard that too but as a HC, you have to roll with what you’ve got. And the reports about the “locker room relationship” between Flores and Tua didn’t sound good. I’m not saying Tua is all that…just suggesting if he couldn’t get along with Tua, I can’t imagine Murray won’t piss him off even more given his reputation for pouting, “me first”, gaming > film study, etc.
Ah, so kind of a Zim/Kirk deal where the GM essentially told the HC to fuck off, you’ll get the QB I choose whether you want him or not. Flores was obviously right about the situation as Hebert is clearly better than Tua, but ultimately Flores got shitcanned so guess that doesn’t mean much.
Flores will want to be picky about his next head coaching gig, because it’ll be his last if he isn’t successful. Not many guys get fired twice & hired again.
Yup, his 2nd chance as a HC will most likely be his last, so he better chooses wisely.
Might actually get some yard work done this weekend that I haven’t been able to do the last 3 months, if the weather holds,
If you’re lucky! Do you count shoveling as yard work?
LOL..
Shoveling is yard work. But it will be in the 50s here, so actual grass trimming and such. I don’t miss the snow at all.
must be nice!
Only if you’re shoveling your yard.
In the 20s here today, I need to go chip off the rest of the driveway before the arctic blast sesttles in. Supposed to get shitty starting tomorrow & continue into the next 2 weeks.
I can’t see my yard.
