Man, I got home from a meeting last night, and I tuned in to watch the second half of the Thursday Night Football game. After an abysmal third quarter where both offenses played as poorly as the Vikings offense normally plays in the third quarter, and not a point was scored. The 4th quarter started off that way, but Baker Mayfield pulled off some late-game heroics and the Rams came back from being down 13 to win the game 17-16. Mayfield connected on a TD pass with 10 seconds left in the game to put the Rams ahead. I’m happy to see Mayfield have a good game, I always liked him.

Couple key questionables
I had a probably dumb but possible idea for replacing the “Z Key” function. Would it be possible that ever new comment is purple as well as having a symbol associated with it that we could ctrl+F and find and then you could click through very quickly? Just a thought for a temporary possible fix.
That would only work if the symbol disappeared once it was no longer purple or was read.
Correct, disappear along with the purple. something like “^&*” It would be really quick to do ctrl+F quick do shift+678 which equals ^&*, Then just tab through. Have the ^&* disappear with the purple. Again, just had a random thought, probably dumb, but doesn’t hurt to present.
There has to be some way they can identify new comments with the button in the bottom left, my dumbass says you should be able to tap into that to be able to scroll through the new/unread comments.

I’m just curious as to what the scale will be compared 2008. Tbh, I almost own my house (so can more than afford the equity hit) and would like a pretty sizeable market correction so my kids may be able to afford a home some day.

In 2008 you had massive financial collapse and so many houses went under market value almost immediately. I think it will be a fraction of that, maybe 20%. But the unkown is the employment market, which is getting hit hard now. The mortgage sector of employment is getting gutted on par with 2008 right now though. Loan officers, processors, underwriters, title work peeps, etc. are all out of work.
I say it won’t be as bad but it depends on the employment world. They estimate 10-15% are on arms due within a year or two iirc.

I finally made the change. Tired of paying $6 a blade for something with 25 blades on it that I don’t need. Every year, they add a blade then charge an extra dollar for the damn thing. Screw ’em. These are far better priced, and work just as well.
2 guys died and because they were Packers fans they ended up in Hades. They were met at the door by a heinous minion and he told them that they get to choose their punishment. The minion led them down a long corridor with doors on each side. As they passed each door they peered in the window to see what was happening. At one door they saw a room with a massive table just over flowing with delicious food. However everyone was chained to their chair and the food was just out of reach. The one guy said that he loved food way too much that this would be just too much for him to bear. Another room they passed they saw people sitting in comfortable chairs, however they all were getting tickled by feathers by demons. The other guy said that he just couldn’t do that because he was way to ticklish and would not be able to handle it. They passed room after room and finally they got to a room that was about waist high full of manure, but on top of the manure was delicious smelling cups of coffee. Throughout the room people were all standing around in manure drinking coffee. They looked at each other and decided, they could do that, they were from Wisconsin and they were used to the smell. The demon opened the door and they started to wade through the manure to reach that delicious coffee. As they were just reaching out for the coffee there came an announcement over the loud speaker. “Coffee break is over. Everyone on their heads.”

I started reading a book about life in a Bangkok prison. Man, brutal. I read books like these every now and again. Last one I read was about Christians in the concentration camps. They eventually got out, though. Toward the end, they had a good guard who would watch out for them. Whenever he saw one get in trouble and on the verge of being beaten or shot, he would jump in and go ballistic, curse the guy out, slap him around and tell the aggressors, “Let me take care of him! I’ll give him a lesson he won’t forget!”
Then he’d take the guy into the basement of a building and play cards with him. As there are bad folks everywhere, there are good folks, too…
I can’t imagine what life is like in a place like that. If, for some odd reason, I am ever in Bangkok, I will not commit a crime of any sort.

But I guess you get used to it. I read a book about the Black Sheep Squadron in WWII, and the guy got shot down and put in a prison camp in Japan. They constantly had dysentery and go through a crack in the floor. Guys got so used to it, they would just push each others waste down the crack with their bare hands in annoyance.

In college when we had like guys who were 6’1 or 6’2 and were really good high school athletes 215lbs and fast enough to be a high school running back that could lower a shoulder but not fast enough to be one in college. They would bulk them up to 250-270 and play DE. The strength and conditioning coach would tell them to eat a tuna salad sandwich before bed/after a work out followed by a giant scoop of peanut butter.
I was 6′ tall and 125 lbs when I graduated high school.

I don’t know what my 40 was, didn’t play football after freshman year, only wrestled, but I did the school record for shuttle run speed, don’t know if it still stands though. For whatever reason it wasn’t until college that I started to fill out, but at my height now of 6’1 when I’m in shape its at 180-185. I’ve never had reason to try to bulk up, just want to look good naked.

I like gyros a lot. When I went to Greece years ago they would ask at restaurants/food carts if they could tell you were american they would ask if you wanted American style, which is where they sub ranch for tzatziki, I never tried that but it doesn’t sound good to me.

Very nice, super duper religious (youngest was in school for like 4 years to be a priest but just dropped out for some reason), but have a lot of eccentricities. The ranch thing comes up often as a joke.
They do own a sweet house on Rose Lake between Vergas and Frazee, though, so gotta be nice!

My family is pretty quirky to, my dad used to take ritz and put peanut butter on them then dip it miracle whip, my stepmoms idea of goulash was serving macaroni mixed with ground beef and then setting the ketchup out for you to mix to your taste.

my dad apparently nowadays gets home and eats hot sauce on saltines. He was always a saltine guy, though. I remember doing peanut butter on saltines a lot when there wasn’t much in the budget for anything else for snacks.
I ate a lot of saltines as a kid too, chicken in a biscuits were my fave but only got those on a rare special occasion. hot sauce on a saltine sounds pretty good.
The last few years he’s really turned into a hot sauce guy. Been pretty funny to watch, but I think it’s because my youngest brother got into hot sauces. He was always pretty obviously my dad’s favorite.

Is Carroll college still dominating NAIA football? My cousin played at Northwestern Oklahoma State and they played in the championship game against Carroll in the early 2000’s and of course Carroll won. I went up and watched an earlier playoff game against Dickinson state. NWOS had this amazing guy who played WR at times, KR, and was the starting QB and went on to have a fairly long career as a WR/PR/KR. If anyone can name him without googling you have my respect. LOL their starting running backs name was also Mike Tyson.
I honestly couldn’t tell you. Outside of the Cats and Griz I don’t know. I don’t even know how Rocky is doing and they are in Billings but I would have to watch the local news (or care) to know.

Historically the Griz but for the last 10 years or so the Cats. The Griz are always a top team though too.
That’s kind of what I thought, like in the Dakotas both NSDU and SDSU are generally good teams, but SDSU will always be baby brother.
In the 120 years they have been playing the Griz are up 74-42-5 but the Cats have won 5 of the last 6 and had a couple of really good teams around 2010/2011.
Having to play against Cooper Kupp for 4 years kinda hurt both teams. That was ridiculous. Oh, and EWU’s stupid ass red field is hideous.
That red field is horrible, I remember years ago when NDSU got screwed by the refs out there in a playoff game.
And then SDSU loses to MSU and if NDSU pulls it off this weekend Sacramento rolls em and we have an all Big Sky Championship.

I think it was pretty much the actual pitch and any ball in play and just removed all the in between nonsense like walking to the plate, adjusting your batting gloves 100 times, etc.
Still a lot of time in there where basically nothing is happening lol. That’d be like counting jogging back to the huddle as action time in the NFL.
