This morning is my Friday afternoon, as I’m taking off as of noon today and we’re heading over to the wilds of Montana to visit family. We were going to go last weekend for Christmas, but the weather decided that we weren’t going, so we didn’t go. Now we are.
Only three more days until the Vikings take on the hated Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday with a 3:25 pm kickoff. What do we expect to see on Sunday? It’s so hard to know what to expect in these divisional games. One thing we Vikings fans have come to expect this year is that it will be a close game with a heart-attack-inducing finish. I just hope the good guys win, I REALLY want the Packers to be eliminated so that I no longer have to listen to Chris Collinsworth and the rest of the talking heads babbling non-stop about how the rest of the league is scared of the 7-8 Packers. Sheesh. Just put a bullet in ’em & be done with it (figuratively speaking, of course).

I kind of sort of have to know this for my job, but mostly I know since I built my own PC for gaming.
For work, we’re trying to adopt the latest and greatest in file transfer so our machines can work faster. Sucks when your rate limiting step is moving/saving a few GB of data to the PC for analysis that can be done in a couple seconds (with the right GPU). I only recently learned that we’re forced to use USB 2.0 when USB 4 2.0 exists (250x faster but isn’t nearly as reliable), and PCIe 2.0 when 6.0 is ~13x faster, just because our customers don’t want to update their equipment. Well buddy, you want everything to be faster for the same price and this is now your fault.
Also I am partially doing this in response to your medical jargon, which I always have to look up and then WebMD thinks I have Down Syndrome.

The truck caused the accident 100%, you just can’t pull over to where another vehicle is and think they are responsible for getting out of your way.
Yeah yeah, try that with a semi sometime that can’t see your Prius zooming along in his blind spot. “I’m a victim!” You could see the truck was edging into and across the white line, he closed up the distance to the car in front of him. If he left the gap the same the truck would have merged without issue.
I try to leave at least two if not four second gap in front of me. When I drive in heavy city traffic I have cars merge into my lane only a couple of car lengths away aka cut me off, for the reason that I leave gaps like that…life’s too short, I just continue backing off. Actually my favorite place to be is slotted behind a semitrailer.

I must have missed it. The highway was 2 lanes and continued as 2 lanes. The truck moved left into the car who was in the left lane and the guy in the car moved to the right as the guy hit him.
I did not see this as a merge situation of any kind, it was an asshole in a truck cutting the guy in the car off and hitting him.
