Thread Guidelines

  • Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
  • Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
  • Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
  • All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.

1) One can never have ‘too much good pizza’, so saving yours for another day is an option.
2) I have no doubt that the pizza you made is a bizzilion times more gooder than the delivery pizza that the company bought.
3) Eat just enough of the flavored cardboard’ that they ordered from the cheapest place that they could find to be polite and then later warm up yours and eat it in private.

Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn’t we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? ‘Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we’d all be put on K.P.”

Was up all night drinking coffee and watching ‘Making A Murderer’ on Saturday night while working on this – I’ve got all the details laid out, just gotta tie it all together. Every person has a motive to kill and everyone is tied to everyone else either directly or in a 6 degrees kind of way. It’s been an absolute blast – and a lot of work for someone who isn’t close to a writer.

29 January 2024 12:38 pm

I’ve got a killer in mind…. I’ve got it written where I can kind of choose who I like.

All my cast is from all over the country: I’ve got 3 orphaned sisters (2 separated from the youngest) from Portland, Oregon.

A ne’er do well drifter female who kills and steals the identity of an old money Louisiana debutante.

I’ve got an academically gifted female cast member who graduates high school in her early teens, achieves 2 advanced degrees before being able to drive and ends up the youngest NOC operative in CIA history.
I’ve got enforcers from the Redneck Mafia and Winter Hill Gangs embroiled in a turf war.

A NOPD detective moonlighting as an assassin via the dark web hot on the trail of a Syracuse-sorority girl-turned-art thief who was in the same sorority (Jama Vi Brata) as the daughter of a former Army Sniper and Wild West Show trick-shot artist who had heavy gambling debts owed to various criminal organizations and vanished, believed to be murdered by said organizations (he wasn’t, he was murdered by the ‘fake’ debutante – also a member of the sorority and 1/2 brother to the proprietor of the Key West, Florida Bed & Breakfast where the murder(s) take place)
Said proprietor is actually in WitSec under the charge of a former Navy Seal and US Marshall and lost love of our gifted student who learns that she, is in fact, the 3rd sister from Portland and that the PI her siblings hired to find her is working under an alias (Burt Macklin) and in reality he’s a con-artist who’s been stealing from the sisters and happens to be the son of the man responsible for the faulty brake job that resulted in the deaths of her parents……

This is all coming together at the Manatee B&B on the island of Key West, Florida – 1/2 star rated on Trip Advisor known for damp towels and its basement ‘nightclub’ All of our cast members are stuck on the island with a massive hurricane bearing down.

TL;DR

A few more things to tie up but I like where I’m headed.

Just heard something makes me wonder.
Campbell getting his share of crap over 4th down calls.
But just heard this — Lions were running the Niners out of the stadium in first half – like 150 yards.
In the second half, they ran the ball 8 times.

This is a bit crazy – just a thought.
Detroit was cocky and pushing Niners all over field in the first half. Then right before half they had the 4th and goal at about 2 and a half, and kicked a FG – no time left. Now, I thought that’s the right thing to do, but it seemed so unlike Campbell and the Niners got a small lift out of it. I was surprised he didn’t go for that at 21 -7.

Just came from McDonalds…

I went into the bathroom to wash my hands after eating. There was a guy standing in front of the sink. Just standing there…

“Are you using the sink?” I asked.

He gave a terse, “No,” and backed out of the way.

As I washed, I noticed the stall door was closed and realized the guy must have been waiting to get in there. While I washed, he left. I exited myself seconds later to see a girl standing there with a wide-eyed look on her face, the man vanished and the ladies room door swinging closed.

I then put it all together.

That man was fighting a terrible battle and lost. His last resort was a blitzkrieg on the ladies room. I wonder how that turned out…

Charley Waters recently wrote about Cousins’ upcoming free agency, “The buzz now is that it will take $90 million guaranteed for two years, despite that he’s still not yet fully recovered from Achilles surgery in November, to sign free agent QB Kirk Cousins. If that’s the case, he certainly won’t get that from the Vikings.”

Its called cyclical cycles. My man please, think about it. The earth goes through phases of natural heating and cooling over 10s if not 100s of thousands of years, warmer and colder, less ice, more ice, around and around we go. 100 – 150 + years of recorded data is NOTHING in that time span. Humans impact on weather/ temperature is a drop in the bucket to the natural cycle. There’s ice core samples that prove this. There’s people that have spoken to the researchers that work on this at the poles and they LAUGH at climate change. The only thing climate change is is push for someone in Government to make money. Energy is the largest producer of income in human history, and if people want a shift for “Green Energy” they only want it for money, and they are pushing climate change as a false flag for that. Period. Im sorry, but you’re wrong.

How am I wrong? Have you read any of my other replies to this? God damn I hate how bad politics has us divided. All I said the earth is heating up… it is. Now if you want to call the cycle of whatever that’s fine, but it is. I think it’s so absurd and both sides do this they will deny absolute facts then admit to the fact they are denying but call it something else just so it doesn’t look like they are agreeing with the other side. Like this topic Republicans go THE EARTH ISN’T HEATING UP!!!!!!!! It’s called cyclical cycles where the earth heats up! haha. Fuck. We can’t even agree on facts because we are so divided. I swear to Bob, if gravity was a hot button issue if one side said GRAVITY IS REAL!!!! The other side would go NO IT ISN’T! But there is this force that pulls on other objects and depending on the mass of the bigger object dictates how fast the small object is pulled. I literally said repeatedly how much I hate how Dems are fooled by how the response to this fact is only lining the pockets of other people.

Yes, his whole point is you need to adjust to climate change not take wrong headed approaches to try to “reduce” it, which inevitable will fail and cause untold human misery….yet that is exactly what the Democrats are proposing…don’t drink coffee, have only electric vehicles that don’t work, don’t have an electrical grid with fossil fuels, etc. the list goes on and on and on.

I have decided neither the Chiefs nor the 49ers will win the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs can’t since Mahomes takes up WAY too much of their salary cap, and we all know you can’t win with a QB who takes up more than 12% of your cap.

The 49ers can’t since Purdy is NOT a mobile QB…his 40 time is similar to Kirks…can’t win with that.

Well, Purdy had 5 rushes for 48 yards.
How often does that happen? Guy is mobile enough, and SF is not throwing 14% of the salary cap at him(yet)

Mahomes had 6 rushes for 15 yards. Mahomes is a passing QB that is mobile vs Lamar being a running QB. I pick a passing QB that is mobile please….

With Mahomes, they build the surrounding team while he was on his rookie deal, and they will be in scramble mode every year trying to decide what roster holes to try and fill. But they started with a QB they drafted and build around him.

Viking can bring back #8 or bring in a vet, but there are so many roster holes that they will not compete. The prudent choice is to draft who you like and build the roster around that QB.

Running back question is both interesting and important.
Noticed playoff teams run the ball and usually quite well. We are crappy at it.
Also see that playoff teams run screens quite well. We’re not very good at this either.
Someday, we will have a young QB. Both running the ball and screens help a young QB Even good ones from looking at yesterday.
We need a top notch back. Better run blocking too..

But, both can run the ball really well and have top notch screen games.
Maybe we might go a lot farther if we showed in those areas.

Yes, passing game is as good or better, running game sucks..

We beat the 49ers, and we should have beaten KC, I was at that game and we outplayed them. The difference was their playmakers made a couple of insane catches in big situations, ours had chances to make the tough catches and were unable to do so.

Point is, based on those two games it would seem we are not that far away.

An excellent Question JRobert….

  1. I don’t think we will resign Cousins.
  2. If we move up in the draft it costs us a lot of picks, and we have a lot weaknesses that we aren’t going to be able to fill in free agency.
  3. If we don’t move up in the draft we have to get lucky that one of those 2nd tier QBs is the real thing and can play right away.

Therefore, I think we are in for some suckiness…I could be wrong, I often am.

I didn’t see all of the Lions game, but it looks like Campbell left a couple of FGs on the table? I like his aggressive approach to fourth down and don’t think he should reduce that by much. Maybe just take it down a half notch.

If they have another good draft and can shore up their defense a bit, they are still in a solid place.

Yeah, they went for it twice on 4th down vs kicking a FG.
He claims no regrets.
The Lions had the game locked up, but then turned the ball over on downs vs kicking a FG, and that decision plus the circus catch Ayuk made off the lions facemask completely turned the momentum.

Campbell’s aggression cost them the game. Combined with a few bad throws by Goff when he needed to play better. Dude cannot move around in the pocket at all.

he reminds me of plenty of good pocket passer QBs that are not able to move around in the pocket. Pressure up the middle will always affect QBs like that.

Purdy had a few boneheaded plays, but when he rolled left and hit his FB while not having his feet stable, it was a great QB play and a great sideline catch.
