Every fall I have the exterior of the RV “detailed”, which is what they call washing and waxing these days. First year I’ve done so in Glendive, some hole in the wall place came recommended, when I dropped off the RV yesterday the guy wasn’t there yet. My wife had talked to him and he kept asking how much we wanted to pay.
I think he tried to upsell her cuz she called me and said he wanted to charge $800 hahahahaha so I called him up. Gave him my best Peewee Herman voice and he said the $800 was for a ceramic coat. I said no no I just want a wash and spray wax good grief so we settled on $200.
I do wonder about this ceramic coat on my ten year old black sedan. Clear coat is getting pretty thin. Anyone have any experience with the longevity of this project.

Stories of Carlos Hathcock and Audie Murphy from my childhood stoked the desire to serve. Stories of Danny Dietz and Mike Monsoor as an adult only increase my respect for the armed services. We leave here at noon-ish, land in Somalia at 1:00, was supposed to leave there around 2:30 and get to Orlando at 7:00. Well, a couple months back, they changed our connector flight to the 6:30 flight, so now we sit in Somalia from 1:00 to 6:30, fly out & land in Orlando at 11:00 pm.
That is typical and it sux. It’s such a process to fly now.

Last time I went in there to pick up an order the smoke from the kitchen extended from the ceiling to within three feet of the floor, couldn’t even see patrons at the far end of the restaurant. As I was sitting right next to the exit I had my exit plan mapped out for me.

This is already a big fat joke, as the debt service has already more than doubled. It’s now around 18% of the budget.
However, it comes out of the $1.8 trillion discretionary budget, which also pays for military, homeland security, disaster relief, and many welfare programs.
It’s already approaching 40% of the discretionary budget, and accelerating rapidly as we’ll add nearly $2.5 trillion of new debt this year.
The Dems are trying to ignore and forestall the implications of this until after the elections, but the only solution is to raise taxes on the middle class to at least double, and they will go quickly to 100% over the next few years, as there aren’t enough wealthy people to bleed.
Then, next year, when the interest rates go up more and most likely takes the whole discretionary budget and cuts almost all the way into the mandatory budget, the dems will blame the right, the right will cower down like they also did under Trump, and not go austerity, and the Feds will start confiscating property with their 86,000 new IRS agents.
But it will be too late, as the lack of control at the federal level resulting in a 100% tax rate doesn’t even take into account the state and local burdens.
It’s going to get ugly.

Yeah, I went VA. It’s the one benefit from the military that I actually use. I never got to use my GI Bill (waited a few months too long, wasn’t aware you only had 10 years to use it), and don’t use any other benefits, other than using the things I learned while serving, which is actually quite a bit.
I used the GI bill, think I got $288 a month during school, it helped pay some bills, but the VA mortgage has been way more valuable, used it like 3 times already
When I enrolled, I think I was 8 months past the cutoff date, so I didn’t get a penny of my GI Bill. Oh well, what do you do? Got lucky & bought a house my sophomore year, sold it a month or two after graduating & paid off my student loans. I literally only had student loans for a month, maybe two.

I really enjoyed Breaking Bad, and Saul was probably my favorite character on it, so I am looking forward to it. Been waiting patiently since the series started for it to be over, so I could watch it in one chunk instead of waiting between episodes and seasons.
BB was one of the best shows from the last 10-20 years.
