I watched that Philly / Lions game. Philly did not impress me as offensively dynamic team at all. Hurts is nowhere nearly as dangerous as Rodgers even with his run threat that really isn’t all that. AJ Brown was pretty much most of their offense.
Their defense is a shell of it’s former self. Our offensive will score points.
I like the Vikings to win by 10+.

Won’t be easy for them but I think Dontella’s defensive scheme and even per Rodgers who said they kept changing their looks which kept him confused will be a real challenge for Hurts. Shot a 103…as usual could have been so much better. Greens were fast as hell had more 3 putts than Ray Charles at Augusta. Missed 3 birdie putts also. Good time that’s all that matters.

Fast greens can be a mother fugger. Greens up here are like plowed fields, while in AZ they are like glass.
Yup exactly. Greens at my home course are slooooow. These were lighting fast. I never did get use to them. Blew so many putts past the hole and missed coming back. At least 10 stokes from just doing that and missed 3 birdie putts, one became a bogey when I missed the par putt. Should have shot in the high 80’s easily.
After a few rounds on fast greens you become very cautious. Then when you get home you are 10 feet short every put

Had that happen. Tried holding buttons to reset shit, according to the manual. Decided that since it didn’t affect the temperature, I’d leave it alone. About the same time I started smelling something rotting, but didn’t equate the two. I pulled the oven out, emptied the cupboards, crawled into an access panel, checked in the basement area beneath the oven. Still smelled liked something died. Not over powering, just when you were standing near the oven. Eventually pulled off the control panel and a mouse had got inside there and chewed a wire/or died from the adjacent heat.

I’m lucky I didn’t have to pay 100% my own way. I’m not sure how much my parents were involved though – they weren’t in the best place financially when I went to college. I got a good academic scholarship and took out a significant loan (got a great interest rate and just finished paying it off last month!), but I know they chipped in what they could.
I’m sure my dad kept track of it. He knows how much money he’s gifted to me and my family vs my sister and her family, and has adjusted the will to compensate. He’s a stickler.
My parents (more so my Dad but my mom worked too) worked their asses off so they could pay for my two sisters and I’s College. And they did it. We were the definition of Middle class and I wish more families in the US could have had that, then maybe we would be fighting harder to keep it around.

Right? I mean…it put a lot of stress on the marriage. My Dad managed the John Deere dealership on top of ranching and farming, making hay, combining until 2am-3am then up again to go to work, on top of raising 3 kids. Not something I would sign up for personally.
I worked full time while in college. Lots of sleepless nights staying up all night to study, but at least my employer paid most of my tuition.
We paid all of my daughter’s tuition, but there were conditions. Had to take at least 15 hrs/semester, maintain 3.5 GPA or better, and graduate in 4 years. She worked part time for spending money.

Yeah, bodies can be hard to find. There was a lady with dementia who wandered away from a campsite in a standard park awhile back. They looked all over, lots of volunteers. Finally found her body in a bush less than half a mile from where she got lost months later.
My brother found a lost dementia person once. She was alive. She was sitting in a bunch of reeds beside a lake. Brother just happened upon her basically. Otherwise, she would have sat out there until she expired.

I was at a funeral yesterday, and every single person who blabbed about my buddy said he was a man of integrity who gave way more than he got, and especially will be missed by sons because he was always there to help them find the best path in life.

134 slope (20 handicaps from the tips, 124 slope from the whites which I’ll play)
Absolutely stunning course can’t wait. I’m going to attempt to break a clean 100 counting every single shot and putt. I believe I shot a 105 last time I played it.

I usually avoid the range before golf. It make me tired at my age.

Me too…by around the 15th hole my back is starting to give out a bit….So I can’t really hit any practice shots before the round or it will be tiring at the start….Getting old sucks.
I don’t hit the driving range first, just do 2 practice swings on every tee and then let ‘er rip.
They had no range on that course. I usually hit 20-30 balls at the range before a round.

That’s why I make it a point to rent a place on a lake for a week every summer. Great way to sunrise and sunset – on a dock w/ coffee. If I lived on a lake I’m not sure I’d enjoy it as much.
After hanging out at Canoe Girl’s lake a bunch, where there’s not much fish or beaches, I’d say it’s important to figure out what lake is a good lake for whatever you want. Her’s is pretty good for canoeing/kayaking, though.
I like a lake that’s good for wakeboarding/tubing/etc
that will likely change when the kids are older

That is easy for me. I want the least amount of people, lowest amount of development, good fishing for walleye and panfish especially, not too large so I can manage wind. That’s about it.
