To me, the best possible scenario that can come out of a bye weekend is that 1) I went fishing, and 2) the Packers lost. One out of two ain’t bad, just like Meatloaf said. I didn’t get any fishing done because we were busy in the yard all weekend, BUT the Packers lost. I was never so happy to get a pick wrong in my pick ’em league, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Tell me what did you need to do to set up your Star Link? I have no wifi or cell service. Can it be done?
IIRC once you have the app installed on your phone you do not need wifi or cell signal to set it up. It has been over a year since I did it…maybe you can get it to work without app? Basically, I would get it all set up, make sure the dish can move and there are no obstructions to line of sight. Plug in the router and let it initialize for a few minutes. Eventually a new wifi network will pop up with some name like STINKY or the like and you join that network…it will then guide you through setup. I definitely had the app installed before I started though, so not sure if it will work without it?

I was watching The League yesterday and was thinking who the characters would be in the Skoloholics version:

I have Allen in skoloholics league, Mills a Scrub, I grabbed Danny Dimes, dropped like 40.
The scoring in the skoloholics league is fucking wild though, theres multipliers and bonuses out the ass. Not comparable to a standard ESPN PPR League. Example, Mills got 19 in my league and 27 in our league. Joey Burr got 35 in my ESPN league and 70 in our league. Also, did you do my fix in Chrome?

Clear your cache and cookies/internet data from chrome. I use Chrome and everything works fine. Go to settings, Privacy and Security, clear browsing data, click the drop down and select all time, and click all the check marks except passwords (unless you want to wipe saved passwords) then click clear data. Close and re open Chrome and let me know.

Getting excited for deer season in MN, just two weeks away for me. I make the drive home and hang out in the hunting cabin with my 3 high school buddies. Much beer, cards, smoker food, football, and quiet sunrises/sunsets in the woods. But MN DNR is doing their damndest to drive me away. CWD testing is mandatory for my area…but ONLY on Saturday or Sunday. Apparently if you shoot a deer Monday or any other day not on opening weekend, then CWD is not an issue. WTF. Hauntingly similar to the mandatory “wear masks in restaurants until your food arrives, then you’re magically safe to remove masks.”

I’ve never hunted anywhere other than back home out on the prairie just outside the black hills or here in MN. Do they have Mule deer in MN? I always prefered muleys, bigger, faster, and bigger racks. When they get into a full trot they are fast af though.
I’ve heard you have to get west of the Missouri to find mule deer, don’t know how true that is.
A few years back a small muley buck was shot near Amery in western WI, but they think it escaped from a deer farm.

I went for a run yesterday. It was about 80 with a 25-mph wind. My throat, mouth and lips got super dry. Unpleasant sensation. It made me think of stories I read where guys in survival situations walked three days across the desert of Africa with nothing more than a couple of swallows from a puddle of elephant urine that they came across. Hard to imagine that state of endurance.
It made me once again realize how I pretty much exist in a state of physical comfort. Sickness and discomfort is good for that at least. It makes one reflect and not take the good for granted.

I’m also looking into purchasing the Chorus platform (the software that SB Nation used before moving to Coral).
The Chorus platform is a long shot, I’m guessing that it’s far too expensive, but we’ll see.
