The Atlanta Braves made a HUGE comeback in the NL East in the second half of the season, and they are once again your National League Eastern Division champions! (link courtesy of FoxSports). Was there ever any doubt? Not in my mind, there wasn’t! Twins fans, you’re all fully welcome on board the Braves hype train. C’mon board, it’ll be fun, we have coffee.
Bears @ Vikings
The Vikings are eagerly awaiting their next matchup, which is at home against the Bears this Sunday with a noon kickoff. All signs would indicate that the Vikings will look good on Sunday, and this makes me nervous. It’s part of being a Vikings fan, we’re never really comfortable. You’ll notice it during games especially, you will see very little hugging, high fives, or even smiles in the stands until after the final gun sounds. The only ones who celebrate early are those who are new to fandom. We Vikings fans know all-too-well that you take nothing for granted. After years of watching this team find the most gut-wrenching scenarios in which to lose, you just develop calluses. Similarly, the team has a history of losing to teams that they’re expected to beat, so to be honest, the 7 point favorite bugs me a little. I prefer it when we’re underdogs, but hell, maybe this is the year we shed even more of the non-existent curses that we supposedly carry on this team.
That being said, I look for the team to come out strong at home on Sunday. I think the offense will continue to find its way, and if the O-line can continue to function like an NFL offensive line and we can remain relatively injury-free, I think we’ll see this offense strengthen as the season wears on. If there’s a game where the defense has a chance to get on track, this is it. This is the worst passing offense in the NFL and an offense that gives up a grotesque number of sacks, so our defense SHOULD be able to feast on Sunday. We need them to. I’d like to see our offense control the clock & hold the ball for over 40 minutes.
It remains to be seen. What I DO know is that we will have your game thread for you here, and it will go live around 11:00 am central time. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how wide this river is, but when we get bored between bowhunting/grouse/blind hunting we will float the river. But you need high wild rice/reeds and it needs to meander so you catch them as you round the corner. We will occasionally do this during rifle season for deer, but that can be fucking cold if you flip the canoe.
