With the stench of Sunday’s game another day removed, we look forward to Thursday night’s Thanksgiving Day matchup in between the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. I have a good feeling about this game. I was concerned about the Dallas game being a potential letdown game, although I don’t think anyone expected that disgusting mess of a game we saw on Sunday. On that same token, I see that butt-whooping being a wake up call to this team, and I expect them to come out swinging on Thursday.
The Vikings match up pretty well against the Patriots, if the coaching staff has an adequate game plan put together, which they DID NOT have for the Dallas game. I see the Patriots as having a similar defense as Dallas, although not as strong in some areas. New England’s defense is stronger against the pass than they are against the run, but without the ferocious pass rush that Dallas possesses. I hope to see the Vikings offense dish out a heavy dose of Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison, and once they establish the running game, it should open up the passing game for Kirk, JJ, and company. We’ll find out in a couple days.

Going to put up a post for our affiliate, FYI. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up in case it triggers someone.
The reason I liked these guys as affiliates is that they seemed open to creating items or getting them made if we have ideas on something we’d like to see. I suggested a horn that looks like our logo that you can drink out of. They sounded like they’d be open to finding that or creating it.

I was surprised at how well it went.
I always prepare for the worst when I do anything on a vehicle.
In september I was going to change my dad’s brakes on his pickup… and the caliper was seized. Got that taken care of on the one side…and of course the other one was incredibly stiff.
Glad I just got the two when I was at the parts store.
Simple pad changed turned into a full brake job.
I replaced the rotors on my last rig a couple years ago, plus the pads.
The worst was replacing a brake line that had actually shrunk and wouldn’t let the brake fluid recede… brake was partially engaged while driving around.

I did the rear shocks on my pickup, wasn’t bad at all. A jack & jack stands is all you need, besides tools, of course.
I’m thinking about replacing the rear air shocks on my SUV, it slowly squats down over time like someone using MT’s bidet… gonna have to look and see what kinda funky connections there are that mighta got rusted bad first.
Rears are easy. The fronts you need one of those spring compressors or you’ll be without your front teeth or worse.
I had to use a spring compressor when I replaced the rear air bags on the Envoy we used to have. That sketched me out. I had to compress those springs way more than made me comfortable.
Yep, nothing to play with. Those can do some major damage.

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year for a few family members. Hopefully everyone leaves by time the Viking game starts. I hate trying to listen to a game when there are a dozen people blabbing.

My son is cutting up the 8 point buck and the doe he shot so far this hunting season. I used to just take them to a local processing place, but that has gotten really expensive, plus if my son wants to learn these skills, then good for him.
