There are only a few more days left of this mini-bye week, as the New York Jets will travel to Minneapolis to take on the Vikings this Sunday. It’s a noon kickoff (thank God), and it should be a great game. At this point, the Vikings are 3-point favorites, link courtesy of Yahoo Sports. It would be nice if the Vikings could blow a team out one of these weeks, but I wouldn’t put money on it happening on Sunday, although I do expect the Vikings to cover the spread. Wait for Skodiers to post Skoldiers Spreads for more detailed information on the gambling side of things. Have your heart ready for another exciting game!

I actually like this cat. She just kinda found us when she was a kitten, was damn near dead. I think she’s from the hood. She’s a psycho serial killer, we get along great, unless I’m trying to do work on the computer.
For the first 2-3 years, I’m the only person she’d acknowledge. Which is odd, because I’m a dog person. My wife is a cat person, but the cat wouldn’t have anything to do with her for a long time. She’s warming up to her now, but it took a couple years.

I’ll try to post the second thread earlier tomorrow, it snuck up on me today. Haven’t needed a second thread for a couple days, so I wasn’t paying close enough attention.
I should’ve known what to expect. Rob and I could probably write the script on this, we’ve danced this dance several times.
Day 1 and 2 after person 1 and 2 leave, there will be a decrease in comments, then on day 3, the comments begin to increase again, and by the end of week 1, comments are where they were or higher than they were before. Page views increase within a day or two, almost immediately.

One thing I’ve noticed, when the charges are first filed, they usually sound far worse than the actual crime. I’m not saying that’s the case here, as I haven’t read any details, but that seems to happen frequently. I’ll try to withhold judgement until I know more. Still, this does not sound good, especially for a coach.

They’re under .500 and play in the shittiest division in football.

Alright, since I’m blowing lurker status today, I did have a football question. In the off season, we didn’t hear anything about KOC. Now that we’re halfway through the season what do you think about our head coach? I’m liking that he keeps adding new wrinkles that will make us more unpredictable. Looks like he’s still learning how to manage games though.
I think it’s a little hard to really gauge a coach while the team is winning so many close games, even if you do kind of have to hand it to him because they are winning these games. Winning fixes everything, but I think he’s unquestionably got the locker room in a much better state than it was – miles better.
I love the energy he brings, even the little stuff like doing a video breakdown of the top 3 plays every week just show how much he cares and loves the team and the game. There are certainly nits to pick, like game management and the team’s propensity to disappear in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but you’re always going to have some lumps with a first time head coach.
Can’t be much more optimistic about a young, energetic and smart head coach who knows how to get the most out of his players.
Yeah, I don’t want to give him a pass just because we’re 9-2, but I do feel like he’s willing to learn, and not every head coach is.
I’d say hopefully that’s a good sign and he will only grow as a head coach. At least we can only hope for improvement from a rookie and if status quo is 9-2, I’ll take that.

I would say I was leery about the whole happy go lucky collaborative thing and his inexperience but it seems to have brought the team together and KOC isn’t closed minded. He seems to keep adapting as needed which is positive for the future.

I’d say his game management is an improvement over what we’ve had the past few years, but he needs to improve. The locker room culture is the biggest improvement, IMO.

I get this email saying I’m not registered for the state prescription drug registry. I’m like I’m sure I am? Log into the website and it states it needs to verify my identity with MFA, codes sent both to my phone and my email address. The instructions say, please select the boxes to receive codes. There are no boxes. Grr. I call the number listed on the web page, get an answering machine in Helena where the female voice says for technical support call 1….8….then multiple numbers read fast and not in the usual tempo you would say a telephone number like 124762483. So of course I had to call back and go through the choices to get the number and write it down. Stupid state government. Call tech support, guys name is kfey, says yeah just check the boxes. I see no boxes. Are you sure? There should be boxes…no I don’t see boxes. He then says maybe the boxes are hidden, just click “around” the left side of the screen. I find the hidden boxes. He acts like I am an idiot because I can’t see the invisible boxes. Like getting a ballot to vote that says fill in the circle but there is no circle. Gotta love computers. Then he tells me that they have received thousands of phone calls from Montana of all states because something f’d up on the state computer and decided to let everyone know they weren’t registered even though they were.

My wife called and said our StarLink was down, wondered if I could tell from the app what was going on, cyber attack on Elon Musk or something. It was down for about a half hour, I found a site that reported there was extensive reporting of outages, then it came back. Ponder? Satellite become a shooting star?
