I’m still pissed about the refs screwing JJ out of another 35+ yards and a TD with that BS out-of-bounds call last week. Would have been interesting to see if we could have tied up the game after that, too, had we had the extra time and a full kickoff. Just so dumb, and no consequences for shitty calls and being bad at your job, just like politicians.

I watch a fair amount of college football. There are obviously some occasional bad calls/missed calls but, on the whole, the college game is so much better officiated than the NFL. I don’t get it.
The NFL plays a maximum of 16 games each week (compared to dozens of college games), and it seems there are typically multiple potentially game-changing gaffs by the refs every damn game. In college, the field officials work in concert with the booth and, more often than not, their collective priority seems to be to get the call right. In the NFL, the booth and field officials often seem at odds with one another and neither does their job very well. I have a little (but not much) more patience for the on field refs who are making calls during live action but how many missed booth reviews have their been just this season?
It’s truly insane to me and with the increase in sports betting, there should be a long, hard look by some regulatory agency into the NFL’s officiating practices. I’m not big on “government” interference but at some point, there should be some accountability. Sadly, barring a major fan boycott that leads to lost revenues, there’s probably no real agenda for the NFL to address the issue.
The NFL fines tons of players every week. They should fine refs for bad calls.

Aaron Judge isn’t worth that IMO and the player worth the most money is Shohei Ohtani and it isn’t even close, 30-40 hrs and 100 RBI a year and 25 starts a year at an era of 2.5 to 3.5, plus you can sell tv rights to the asian markets for big time $$$ to offset his salary, he’s the most valuable player in any sport and it ain’t even close.

No, was blowing out the neighbor’s driveway & didn’t realize they had a cord under the snow. Fucker got twisted around the blade, which I removed, but it’s down in the seal/bearing on the end, hoping I can extract it without fucking up the bearing. Also the chute control stopped working, I assume the gears are fried or something, gonna need to order a replacement.
