We’re breezing through the work week. My guess is that I’ll be working from home again today. As I’m writing this, we’re still in the midst of a nasty blizzard, we’ve gotten well over a foot, and they’re predicting a couple more inches tonight yet. Thank God the fellas at Redline Motorsports got my snowblower done yesterday. That was fast, and I am grateful. I shoveled everything yesterday, and it SUCKED. The snow is wet and heavy, and although I enjoy a workout as much as anyone, shoveling that crap gets old quickly. The joys of North Dakota.

Was a bit of a sweetheart deal for sure. Lady was a friend of my mothers. Was an exec at Peter Kewitt in Omaha and I think was doing me a solid. I’ll take it. I’ll be buying another vehicle in 6 months most likely. I drive a 95 Chevy 1500 that I bought 4 years ago for 2k. 148k when I bought it. Outside beat to shit and rusted. Now that the little publicized fact that the nfl is technically defined as entertainment and it is legal for them to rig games, does that explain some of the horrendous one sided games we have seen called by officials? There have been several blatantly wrong calls or no calls in the nfl this season that have changed games outcomes, no replays and no explanations ever offered.
With this in mind, in spite of the Vikings being the worst defense in the nfl, having a well below average offense by many metrics, setting an all time nfl record as the worst 10-2 team in nfl history, setting an all time nfl record as the worst 10-3 team in nfl history and most importantly setting the all time record or at least since 1940 when this nfl recording of the metric started, as the luckiest team in nfl history, could this be the Vikings year? In spite of being outplayed by the vast majority if not all of our opponents we are at 10-3, the worst team ever to have that record, yet almost certainly going to the playoffs. I’m just thinking the nfl has decided this is the Vikings year and will cheat us into the super bowl. Your thoughts on the fact that the nfl can legally rig games and any other explanation on how we can set these all time nfl records and if that means we might get a super bowl run in spite of really sucking.

Also, accidentally opened a couple packages that were meant for the previous homeowners yesterday. Taped them back up right away, and was thinking about driving them over to their new address because they are clearly Christmas gifts for their kids.
Slightly nervous that they see I opened them and try to get me for mail theft because I’m suing them…
But I don’t want their kids to miss out either because if I go through the “correct” process to get ’em returned to Amazon I’ll feel like a dick.
We once got a delivery of 2 Costco sea salt caramels and some other food that was for the neighbors.
Kids at most a container of the caramels before I realized what was up.

From a legal standpoint you need to follow the proper procedures through whatever agency shipped them and under no circumstances should you have any direct contact with the former homeowners at all. What happens if you receive someone else’s package?
Option 1:
When you receive a mistaken delivery, call customer service for the delivery company and explain the situation. Give them the tracking number on the package, as well as the name and address on the package if it’s different from yours. The company will come and pick up the product within a reasonable time frame.
Option 2:
Record yourself pooping on the the packages. Post online.
Just got Amazon to create some return labels to send them back. Hoping they don’t credit my account with anything because the emails I got were weirdly worded and I don’t want to have to deal with that either. I had to remind the guy like 4 times I didn’t order the packages.
Send em back to Amazon. They should have been smart enough to check the shipping address when they ordered the stuff. They’re the dicks, not you.

So my realtor had his ethics committee hearing on the lying seller’s realtor yesterday.
Said the guy had no good answers.
When asked about the mold report he was sent “Oh I never opened that report, must have missed it in my email.”
When asked about the email he sent that specifically laid out remediation “Oh yeah, we were just trying to placate the other buyer.’
When asked about his own mold report that “showed there was no mold” but really was inconclusive because the sample was damaged. “Oh yeah they sent me a pdf of the report but I lost it in my emails and actually it was a friend of mine who is a contractor and contacted this place but they don’t keep those reports on file.”
Dumb, lying POS. Makes me feel better about my court case though. He confirmed he talked with the sellers about mold and remediation. They have to somehow prove he never disclosed the mold to them to have a chance. Not gonna happen.

Not if the sellers accept to be on the Amazon show! Talked again with the producer and she said the 3 judges on that show do weeks of research on state laws to make sure they judge fairly. Which also makes sense because I’m sure the show wants the judgements to actually align with the law.
My realtor also circled back with their team of lawyers on who I should be suing. They said the only way the sellers get out of it is if they can prove they didn’t know (which I already knew and seems extremely doubtful).
Even if they can somehow prove that, I’ve pretty much got everything I need to go after the agent next.

Snowmeggedon finally hit us here in Western Wi. We got almost 9 inches of the heavy wet stuff. The kind that feels like you are shoveling wet sand. I know you Dakotas people won’t understand these words, but we have tree branches down all over the yard. I had to move a few to get them off the driveway and one off the road. But the neighbor plowed our driveway and the township came by with the plow already so like all in the hardy north, it is just like any other day. We are off to Iowa to see one of our DILs graduate from nursing school. Have a great day everyone.

A cautionary tale:
This spring we had our 2 stall garage fixed up….new insulation, sheet rock was taped and textured, walls and ceiling painted, windows reframed, and the fancy flooring put it in since our concrete flooring was getting pretty chipped up. Now my wife won’t allow us to park in the garage…she is treating it as a house extension….this sucks.
Tell her the garage is where vehicles are supposed to go and just start parking there. Boom. Problem solver. If she wants to park her vehicle outside in the winter she can go for it. I like my truck warm when I get in and I dont want to run it.
I love having a heated garage. One of the first things I did when we moved in here was insulate, finish, and heat the garage, it was the most useful project I’ve done.

I have learned many things from my dad. Another one of my favorite nuggets from him (other than the headlight/mirror one) is when you don’t know what to get her for a birthday, x-mas, etc. All you have to do is get her some clothes in the price range you want from a store she likes (and something she would like). The key is to make sure and get it in a size too small. Now you have a gift card but put in the effort to get her something all with the added benefit that she will think you are super thoughtful for thinking she is smaller than she is. Triple win.

You can remove the baseboard, and if it’s high enough, you’ll have room where you can cut out sheet rock, drill holes into the 2x4s, & run wire, then just tack the sheet rock back up & replace the baseboard. Keeps you from having to finish sheetrock. Usually need a 6 inch base.
