Another good game for Sam Hartman of Wake Forest last night beating a SEC team. He finishes his college career with 108 TD’s an all time ACC record and owns the current TD pass per game consecutive streak in the FBS at 30 straight games. Kirk has been very good against the blitz for years. I think its because once he identifies the blitz is coming he goes on auto pilot and immediately hits the hot route. Plus, JJ, AT and Diggs have been great with the one on one coverage it opens up.
Kirk really struggles if teams can disguise their coverage well. If you can show blitz then drop off into coverage, he’ll take a split second longer to process what just happened. If the team can get pressure with 4, then you’ll see Kirk standing in the pocket staring downfield as he takes a sack.
