We’re winding down the work week, just another day or two left until the weekend! Anyone have any plans for the weekend before Thanksgiving? For me, I plan to put up Christmas lights. This seems like a small task, but if you know how crazy I go with Christmas lights, you’ll know that it’s an entire weekend. Hopefully I can get them done, get the music going, and have a video to share on Monday.

You take a deep dive and you’ll see that we’ve lost tons of talent that have decided to play elsewhere. JD Spielman and Wan’Dale Robinson are a couple that come to mind. Luke McCaffery bailed, Adrian Martinez left and while he struggled here he’s played well at K-State. Others on the D side as well. Developing talent was never an issue @ NU in the past – OL, DL, DB’s in particular have been really good.

This is just players on injured reserve in relation to their salary. I would be curious to see it in more of a games missed or presumed starters games missed to account for players who miss one or two games but never go on IR. The Vikings would still be low on the list but I think that would be a more representative comparison.
Some might want to know that in theory the fed fund rate has to be higher than the inflation rate in order to curb inflation. You might wan to see what those 2 numbers are. If you bother to look you will realize this is just a guise to curb it and it will not curb it in any way via raising rates. As this is supple side inflation and the gov’t can’t control that at all this would solve itself and they would not need to raise rates and thus destroy the entire economy, which is what is going on and it will get worse. Then, once that is over you are going to get deflation and things get even worse. We are years from getting back to where we were if ever.

That combined with my dad and his booze induced health issues is making me rethink life choices.

I did Sober October a few years ago, well it was in hope my wife at the time and I were supposed to both do it, I did it lol. Didn’t seem that hard. Didn’t have any weed either. I get drunk maybe 5 times a year. I use weed as a medicine really. 1 little puff before bed really helps me get to sleep. I rarely use it recreationally.
My problem is digging, hunting and looking for rare bottles of whisky I’ve never had before is half the fun. I love trying to find a few unicorns. If anyone can find me the 2013 Laphroaig Cairdeas or the Longrow Red Port Cask I’d be forever in your debt. Two I’ve been searching for for years! haha.
For me, really good beer is better than really good whisky, but I do agree that finding a rare bottle at a good price is fun. Weller 12 year is the last good find I had. $24.
Hate the feeling of smoking anything, so gummies or THC seltzers will have to do. And I agree on the medicine. I sleep great after one 3.2 gummy, and it also helps the joint pain.
So it’s gotten to the point for me that I rarely buy a bottle in the US of the really good stuff to me. Like I have some staple bourbons, Eagle Rare, Bakers etc… but when I spend a few hundo on bottles it’s typically from European websites. Guys that can drive to the distillery itself and get bottles you can only get from the distillery. I had a Bowmore Warehouseman Distillery Exclusive a few years back, only 3,000 bottles. That was so incredibly good.
I like good beers too and love going to breweries but I can find good beers almost anywhere now-a-days. It’s very difficult for me to go to a bar, look at their whisky list and go, “Oooooo I want to try that!”

THC gummies have different varieties. In general anything that says sativa will be more energetic buzz and indica will be more chill. They make various gummies specifically for sleep, and 3 mg is a pretty minor level. If you go to a shop with gummies, they’ll point you in the right direction.
Or just eat two or three of the 5 mg ones and get ready to party.
When I lived in CO back in like 2012 I’d buy the 7mg ones and usually eat half at a time if I wanted to remain functional at all. It was pretty wild the stuff the made THC infused, balms for aches and pains, energy drinks, personal lubricants, etc.

Try a handful of pistachios half hour before bedtime. They have a high melatonin content, and are slightly cheaper than weed.
I have tried melatonin and didn’t like the results. I do like pistachios though lol. I have heard a guy talk about how he would never go the melatonin route and I can’t remember the explanation why but it made sense so he was asked what he would do. I have tried this and it has helped. It’s a combo of L-Theanine, Magnesium L-Theronate, and Chamomile Pills. That was way more effective than melatonin for me.
I’m going to try this. I have some Melatonin that I like to take before bedtime. I had no clue pistachios contained melatonin.
I think I might be allergic to booze or something. I like the idea of alcohol. I like the taste of beer, but it all makes me feel ill. When I hear people talk about alcohol making them feel “good,” I don’t even know what that means.
The odd thing is, sometimes I put honey in brandy, heat it up and sip it when I have a sore throat. That doesn’t make me sick. Likewise, mead doesn’t bother me as much as a regular wine.
I wonder if the honey element makes my body metabolize alcohol differently or something. I should try some honey-based beer and see what happened. Hmmm…might have to go investigate the liquor store selection today.

Since we are doing what is basically specialty research we can usually avoid getting involved in medicare or medicaid directly too. Those rates would barely keep the lights on BTW. Not sure how much MT gets involved in billing, but the government rates would put us all out of business in my area. I bet its the same everywhere.
