Halloween is over, and I hope all of you had fun trick-or-treating with the kiddos, or getting hammered, or whatever else you decided to do on Halloween night. I’m just excited now, because the end of Halloween means it’s time for me to start putting up Christmas decorations. I don’t turn them on until Thanksgiving weekend, but I like to get them done before the temperatures plummet, the snow flies, and the roof is full of ice. My son & I plan to go bonkers this year. Well, we go bonkers every year, but THIS year, we plan to go more bonkers than we’ve ever gone before. I can’t wait.

Among WRs/TEs, ESPN Analytics has Hockenson ranked as the 37th best receiver, Tied with Kittle….That means the Vikings have 3 of the top 38 receivers (Jefferson, Theilen, Hockenson)

For Detroit, Hockenson leads them in receiving yards, tied for 1st in receiving TDs. In other words, he is their most productive receiver on a team that is mostly a run-first team

The level of angst I’m sensing makes me think he stole freezey’s girlfriend or something.
The way I look at the Hockenson trade. We are 6-1. Defense is coming around, offense still seems stagnant. We are getting next to nothing form the TE position. Theilen has lost a step. The time is now and adding one of the better TEs in football will elevate the offense and tell the entire team that Kwesi is serious about a push to the Super Bowl this season.
This could be fun to watch!

Of course, you can find some studies that report more than that (and possibly some less), but that meshes with one I saw a while back (around 12-15% reduction). That is not what I would consider effective.
But you know, the vaccine is 92+% effective at prevention of infection and transmission, so make sure to get that! Oh wait, that was a lie that anyone with a brain could see immediately…
